3rd POV: wolverine can be seen at a construction yard fighting a couple of gang members with his claws extended. Blocking and slashing his way through the gangsters and wounding them but not killing, no matter how much that itch to kill told him to. The mutant then saw a gangster attempting to crawl away but is grabbed by wolverine and pinned to a truck.

Wolverine: tell me where two-face is bub, or I'm gonna give you an insight of what my nasty side is like.

a bullet hits wolverine in the leg making him drop the gang member and turn around, only to have 2 more shots to the head and right shoulder before dropping down to the ground, a man walked out of the shadows with a smoking revolver in his hand. Half of his body was burnt while the other was perfectly fine. He walked to wolverines "dead" body before kicking him in the chest and then looking at the thug.

Two-face: and this guy is supposed to be unkillable?

What two-face didn't know, was that Y/N's wounds were already healing and by the time they were fully healed, he extended his claws, stood up quickly, and slashed across two-face's abdomen before turning to the thug and stabbed him in the stomach before tossing him away, he then turned to two-face who was holding his wound and was about to fire his gun only for wolverine to sheath his middle clas and having the other 2 dangerously close to the scarred villains face, he then slowly extended the middle claw until it touched his chin, making two face sweat.

Wolverine: (growls) well bub? What's it gonna be?

Two-face: i-i give up.

It wasn't long until the cops arrived and wolverine had the thugs tied up in chains and left before anyone could see him. The animal like mutant eventually made it to an alley where he leaned against the wall and took out a cigar and scraped his claws together to make a spark which ignited the cigar. Wolverine then took a puff of it, enjoying the burning sensation before his healing factor nullified it, he then sniffed the air and caught a scent of someone familiar.

Wolverine: what the hell are you doing here siren?

Out of the shadows came black canary, arms folded and a frown on her face. Ever since he agreed to this whole shebang of having her and the amazon princess wonder woman partner up with him. He's gotten to know the 2 over the couple of months and could count on them to be his friends within the league, not to mention their synergy as duos and sometimes 3 men teams was phenomenal, however when they thought he wasn't looking, he would see the 2 glare at eachother and argue about something. Wolverine thought it was too troublesome and never bothered to hear what it was about, anyways, black canary walked up to wolverine and spoke to him.

Black canary: heard about your fight with two-face, you gave him and his crew quite a scare.

Wolverine: as they fucking should be (takes a puff), what's going on blonde? [A/N: Hey that rhymed!] You wouldn't come and find me unless we were gonna go out on patrol or if it is was something important.

Black canary: (smirks) you're right about that, and it is important wolvie.

Wolverine: (growls) I thought I told you to stop calling me that.

Black canary: oh please as if I'd do that. All seriousness though, (smiles) today's the day.

Wolverine looks at canary before huffing and taking one last puff of his cigar and extinguishing the burnt part of it on his hand.

Wolverine: it's about fucking time, so what are we waiting for? Let's move it.

(Timeskip)

Batman, his sidekick robin, aquaman, his sidekick aqualad, flash, his sidekick kid flash, green arrow, his sidekick speedy the red arrow, black canary and wolverine can be seen walking down a path with many people behind barriers taking pictures with news men and women talking to the camera.

Aqualad: today is the day.

Kid flash: I gotta say guys, I'm overwhelmed by all of this, we're finally gonna be something more than-

Red arrow: DON'T call us sidekicks, not after today.

Robin: what is it with this whole whelm thing? Your overwhelmed, freeze was underwhelmed, why can't we all just be whelmed?

Wolverine: (snorts) sure shrimp, we're all whelmed by this.

Robin: (glares playfully) I'm not a shrimp.

Wolverine snorts, thinking back to when he met the boy wonder. It was during his time patrolling in the night when he met robin who was with batman. The 2 were at odds with eachother but that was because batman and wolverine always butted heads due to their views on how certain people should be dealt with and how wolverine was dangerous and unhinged however, robin got to know about Y/N's past and understood why he was the way he was and even admitted that he himself wanted to kill the person who murdered his parents but eventually decided not to. After that, the 2 would do some patrols on weekends together and became buds overtime.

Aqualad: regardless of what we're feeling, we have worked hard to get to where we are and it is a great honor to be here.

Wolverine (in head): you call it honor, I call it bullshit and a waste of time.

The group eventually made it to a giant building dubbed "the hall of justice" and entered. Once inside they are greeted to a big library, the flash then spoke.

Flash: make yourselves comfortable.

Aqualad, robin and kid flash go and take a seat while red arrow glares at the league members who are talking with Martian manhunter in regards to the ice villains attacking, wolverine just snorts before taking his mask off and sitting in a chair.

Y/N (in head): I can see this falling apart already just by looking at cupid.

Red arrow: is this seriously it?! You promised us a real look inside, not some glorified backstage pass!.

Aquaman: its the first step, you've been granted access to something very few gain.

Red arrow narrows his eyes and points to a a part of the library where paparazzi are taking pictures. Y/N narrows his eyes at red arrow, his right hand clenched.

Y/N (in head): brat should be grateful he's made it this far.

Black canary looks from the corner of her eye and notices Y/N's hand clenched and a slight outline of adamantium claws ready to pierce through his skin and reveal themselves.

Green arrow: (calmly) Roy, you need to be patient.

Red arrow: what I need is some respect. (looks at the other sidekicks and wolverine) they're treating us like kids! Worse like sidekicks! We deserve better than this.

Y/N: I think you're forgetting something rookie, you and the others are sidekicks, you cant expect things to go your way, you've gotta prove yourself.

Red arrow: you don't get to talk wolverine, everyone knows that your black canary's partner and think your a hero, which is kind of surprising considering your just a lab experiment that was designed to kill.

In the blink of an eye, Y/N rushed red arrow and punched him in the stomach, making him keel over with Y/N growling like a ferocious animal.

Y/N: you know nothing little man! Next time, I will have these (extends claws) speak for me.

Red arrow quickly gets up and glares at Y/N with said mutant doing the same.

Y/N: come on SIDEKICK, give me a reason to get nasty!

Black canary put her hand on Y/N's right shoulder and tightening her grip with green arrow doing the same to red arrow. Aqualad, robin and kid flash say nothing as they watch everything unfold.

Black canary: (whispers) it's not worth it wolvie.

Y/N growls at the nickname but it doesn't carry it's usual bite, with reluctance, he sheathed his claws before slowly backing away, making sure to keep an eye on red arrow.

Aquaman: take a step back son.

Red arrow finally turns away from Y/N and turned to the league.

Red arrow: or what?! You'll send me to my room?! (Turns to robin, aqulad and kid flash) this hall isn't their real base, we were all lied to, their real base is a satellite called the watchtower.

The young heroes are naturally shocked while Y/N growls and prepares to fight only for canary to tighten her grip on him a bit more, making him stay still for a bit. Batman sends his famous bat glare to green arrow who says nothing. Red arrow then takes his hat off and storms out. The room stays in a tense silent which is broken by Y/N.

Y/N: how did that punk know that I was a dammed labrat? I thought that was kept tight lipped.

Green arrow coughs into his hand uncomfortably when the league look at him, Y/N growls a bit louder in frustration. Canary walks close to him and whispers in his ear.

Canary: (whisper) you ok?

Y/N: (whispers) peachy.

Batman turns to Y/N.

Batman: you shouldn't have lost your temper wolverine, it can and will get you in trouble.

Y/N: (snarls) fuck you batman.

The 2 glare at eachother before it ends when a transmission from superman comes in.

Superman: [superman to the hall of justice, project cadmus is on fire.]

Before anything can be said zatara appears on screen.

Zatara: [this is zatara to the hall of justice, the sorcerer waldur is planning to block out the sun, requesting league assistance.]

Batman faces superman.

Batman: superman?

Superman: it's a small fire.

Batman: then dealing with waldur is our top priority. The firefighters can deal with cadmus.

The young heroes plus wolverine walk up to the league ready for battle but are put down by what batman says.

Batman: you're not going.

Robin: what?! Why not?

Batman: this is a league mission.

Flash: you're not trained-

Kid flash: since when?!

Flash: I meant your not trained to work as part of a team.

Aquaman: there will be other missions, when you're ready.

Batman: (bat glare) but for now, stay.put.

The league begin to leave but black canary gets close to Y/N and whispers in his ear.

Black canary: (whispers) be careful Y/N.

Y/N: (whispers) no promises, but you better look after yourself.

Black canary smiles and when no one was looking, snuck a quick kiss on his cheek, very close to his lips, making Y/N stiffen in surprise, canary then leans back with a cheeky smirk and walks away with a bit of sway in her hips. Green arrow leans over to Martian manhunter.

Green arrow: (whispers) good thing you didn't bring you know who huh?

Martian manhunter: agreed.

Once they left. The 3 teens are talking to themselves about how they're being treated like sidekicks and the league wouldn't trust them and how they probably should've gone with red arrow meanwhile, Y/N was still stiff from what canary did.

Y/N (in head): wait... wasn't dinah with green arrow? Although now that I think about it, there was a time when they were at each others throats back on the watchtower. I guess they broke up but on good terms and she's moving onto me......(smirks) goddamn.

Y/N then snaps out of it when he turns and sees the young trio working on the monitor, he goes up to them to see what's going on.

Y/N: what the hell are you all doing?

Robin turns to him.

Robin: we're going to cadmus!

Y/N:............ok.

Kid flash: (surprised) w-what do you mean "ok?!" You're not gonna stop us?!

Y/N: I'm not your goddamn babysitter. What you do is up to you.

Aqualad then walked up to Y/N.

Aqualad: we wish for you to join us wolverine, it would be good to have your keen senses in sniffing out any people that would need our assistance.

Y/N just sighs before nodding his head.

Y/N: sure why not? It's better than sitting on my ass.

(Timeskip)

The team arrived at the on fire project cadmus lab and began doing individual roles. Aqualad used the water from the fire hoses to extinguish the fire while wolverine used his sense of smell to locate trapped civilians and had himself, kid flash and Robin go in and get them to safety. It wasn't long until it was put out. The team then regrouped and kid flash spoke.

Kid flash: not bad for our first gig huh?

Wolverine: you did alright for a rookie.

Aqualad: what could have caused this fire?

Robin: I think I know.

Robin pulled his wrist up and a holopad appeared where he began typing.

Robin: I had a look at the buildings schematics and found something quite interesting. (Shows the building and multiple floors under it) there are more floors underneath this building than there should be, they aren't even shown on the blueprints for it.

Wolverine slightly narrows his eyes and his hands twitch a little before clenching them. This all sounded way too familiar for the metal clawed mutant.

Kid flash: how do we get down there?

Aquaman: (sternly) we came here to stop a fire, this is above our pay grade.

Kid flash: come on kaldur, we find what's going on down there, the league is bound to see we're ready for the big leagues.

Aquaman:..... (sighs in frustration) very well, but the first sign of danger, we retreat and call the justice league.

The trio then went to the elovator shaft with Y/N lagging behind a little, not liking where things were heading but kept quite about it. Aqualad opened the doors before he and the team descended down the elovator shaft, robin grabbing kid flash and descending with aqualad closely behind while wolverine jumped down and used his claws to slow his descent. Once reaching the required floor, the team opened it before revealing a warehouse like room, only instead of boxes, there were alien like beings in pods, presumably in stasis.

Wolverine: what the hell?

Aqualad: robin?

Robin: one sec, (uses holopad and starts hacking) ok, from what I'm getting here, these things I called genomorphs or g-nomes for short, there are multiple variations of these guys, the small ones can control the big guys or call upon them and the big guys are obviously the muscle.

Kid flash: (walks up to a pod and taps it before looking at his team) how long do you think this has been going on?

Before anyone could reply, wolverine caught a scent of something and turned around to see a small genomorph staring at them before its horns glow red and the pods start opening, allowing the giant genomorphs to come out of their pods and robin to be locked out.

Robin: drat, I'm locked out of the system, but I managed to get a glimpse of something.

Wolverine: oh yeah (snikt) and what's that?

Robin: something is hidden further away from the rest of these g-gnomes, I've got the map to it.

Aqualad: (creates water whips) then that's where we're heading.

Kid flash used his speed to help clear a path for them by taking out some of the medium sized genomorphs, robin threw his birdarangs at a giant genomorphs legs, making it fall to his knees, allowing wolverine to jump on its black and impale it in the back. Aqualad used his whips to wrap a few genomorphs in them and sent them into others before he and the rest of the team took off running, following robins directions. It took a couple of minutes and forcing their way through multiple genomorphs but they eventually made it to a huge sealed door, robin hacked into it while the others were holding of the genomorphs but eventually, the door opened, once on the other side robin tried to seal the door but he was having trouble with the system.

Wolverine: come on rob, (impaled a genomorph in the stomach and kicks it away) what's taking so long?!

Robin: I'm trying-

Wolverine: you know what?! Back up rob.

Wolverine ran to a terminal before impaling it with both his claws and the door closed. The group sighed in relief and took a minute to relax, before turning around and seeing 4 pods within the room. The group cautiously walked up to one of the pods and with caution, aqualad wiped the condensation from it and saw a young superman in the pod shocking the young heroes. The group looked up and saw 2 letters.

Kid flash: Kr, the symbol for krypton! Clone?

Aqualad: robin, hack.

Robin: (uses holopad) project Kr, designated superboy, he was created with superman and human dna and was forced grown, the suit he's wearing allows him to absorb solar radiation, increasing the strength in his powers.

Wolverine: im guessing boy scout jr was basically created to take out the big boy scout, (Looks at the othe pods) what about the others?

Robin continues tapping and eventually gets the information in regards to the other pods and immediately freezes from what he sees. He then looks at wolverine and speaks.

Robin: Y-Y/N?

Wolverine: what? (Sees Robin's shocked look) what's up? Why are you looking at me like that?

Robin:.....those people in the pods, they're part of the weapon X program.

Wolverine immediately freezes and all emotion is drained from his face, making him look like the emotionless killing machine he was meant to be. Aqualad and kid flash we're a bit out of the loop as they don't know anything about wolverines connection to the weapon X program besides the little hint red arrow gave back at the hall of justice. The only ones who officially new about the whole thing, was the justice league, red arrow (unfortunately), and robin (wolverine told him of his own accord).

Wolverine: (emotionless) tell me.

Robin: (nods and reads the information) says here after you escaped they captured 3 more kids and infused them with the adamantium they had left. Turns out 2 of the 3 had side effects to it.

Kid flash: like what?

Robin: apparently one of them had a red glow to their claws and can (shocked) use something akin to magic.

Wolverine: (surprised then back to emotionless) most likely a dormant mutation but what about the other?

Robin: apparently she could use something akin to magic as well but her claws give a white glow and can possibly use magic as well.

Wolverine: (nods) right, (looks at the pods) let's get them out of these things.

Kid flash: (concerned) are we sure that's wise? I mean hello? We're in an evil lair, shouldn't we try calling the league?

Aqualad attempts but nothing happens.

Aqualad: I can't get through, we must be deep underground.

Wolverine: look, let's just get them outta these things, they don't deserve to be fucking slaves to bastards.

Aqualad adopts a thinking pose, wondering if it's a good idea but eventually concedes.

Aqualad: open them up robin.

The boy wonder nods and taps on the holopad and the pods begin to open. Once they're fully open, the 3 females and male within the pods come out and stand in front of the heroes before their eyes narrow and immediately charge at them. Superboy attacking aqualad, robin and kid flash, while the 3 weapon x 2.0's attack unleash their claws and attack wolverine.

Wolverine released his claws and growled as the 3 surrounded him, each moving woman analysing him before the one in red rushed with her claws at the ready, Y/N turned to face her and attempted to strike only for the girl to slide through his legs and stab him in the leg, he then felt someone jump on his back and start attacking his back making him roar and try to get her off, only problem was the girl with the red claws and the black haired woman got in front of him and were viciously attacking his chest with their claws. Wolverine eventually manage to grab the blonde and throw her off of him and headbutted the red haired mutant before trading strikes with the girl in black. Their class clash and the 2 struggle to gain the upper hand. Wolverine then feels something connect to his face and he gets sent flying away before being held in midair by the red haired mutant and getting smashed into a walls and the ceiling before crashing into the ground, wolverine looks up and sees his teammates are knocked out he looks up and sees the 4 test subjects standing over him before the superman look alike slams his foot down on Wolverines head, making him lose consciousness.

(Mini timeskip)

Wolverine slowly awakens and sees himself in a pod, he tries to move only to feel restricted, he looks down and sees his arms and feet restrained. Wolverine growls in annoyance and looks around and sees his team in the same pods and restrained. He then hears footsteps coming to him and sees the 4 people who knocked him out, said mentioned 4 stare at the weapon X mutant with mentioned mutant holding their gazes. He then hears groaning and slightly turns his head to see his group waking up.

Robin: (groans) what happened?

Wolverine: we got our asses handed to us.

The trio look at wolverine and then see the 4 test subjects. Aqualad then speaks.

Aqualad: do you realise what they are doing to you? What you're being forced to be?

Superboy turns his head to meet aqualads gaze and then stares at robin and kid flash, not even saying a word.

Kid flash: stop staring at us like that! (Looks at his team) can they even speak?

Superboy: yes-

X-23/wanda/reine: they can.

Kid flash's eyes widen.

Robin: do you know who you are? What you are?

Superboy: I'm superboy, a clone of superman who will replace him should he perish, or turn away from the light.

Wolverine's eyes show a hint of sympathy to the clone, he was just like that when he was experimented on, he then turns to the others.

Wolverine: what about you 3?

X-23: I'm designated X-23 (motions head to the others) the others are X-22 (wanda) and X-21 (reine). We were created as the 2nd phase of the weapon X program, we were programmed to replace you should you perish or turn from the light.

Wolverine: the hell is this light crap that you keep spouting about?

Wanda: that is unknown to us.

Wolverine narrows his eyes but says nothing. The door to the lab opens and the hero known as guardian and a scientist with glasses along with a human sized genomorph walk into the lab.

Desmond: what are they doing out of their pods?!

Guardian: they wanted to guard the intruders, I didn't see the harm in it.

Kid flash: guardian?!

Guardian: (surprised) robin? Kid flash? Aqualad? Wolverine? What are you doing-

A small genomorph jumps onto guardians shoulder and it's horn glows, making guardian become emotionless.

Guadian: good riddance to you intruders.

Desmond: (smirks) indeed guardian, and the clones....?

Guardian: will be put back in their cages!

Wolverine growls at that and looks at the jailers to see that they have no physical reaction to what was going to happen to them. Guardian then leads the experiments out of the room but aqualad speaks to superboy.

Aqualad: (pleading) help us.

Superboy stops for a moment before a genomorph takes control of the half breed and makes him leave the room along with the others. Once the door closes, Desmond turns to around to address the teens.

Desmond: you boys really shouldn't have come here, however, you being here has given me the perfect opportunity to clone you, just think, genomorphs with the abilities of the sidekicks of the justice league.

Robin: uh no thank you, the batcave is full enough as it is.

Desmond: you don't have a choice in the matter, (looks at wolverine) especially you, weapon X.

Wolverine growls and begins thrashing about in his pod. Desmond motions the human sized genomorph who attacks wolverine with physic attacks causing wolverine to cry out in pain before becoming emotionless. Desmond smirks.

Desmond (in head): it seems there is still a bit of coding in his head, brilliant.

Wolverine manages to snap out of it and goes back to trying to break free. Desmond frowns.

Desmond (in head): it seems that he can break free from the programming, a few tweaks and he won't be free from it.

Desmond then starts the process of extracting dna from the teens, starting by shocking them to put then unconscious, the process went on for a while with the Desmond watching impressively before the door behind burst open, revealing the 4 project cadmus test subjects and clone.

Desmond: what are you doing?! Get-

Desmond is suddenly lifted up in the air by wanda and is sent crashing into the wall. The 4 then move to break the pods containing the young heroes. Once they're out they face the cadmus projects.

Wolverine: thanks for the hand.

Laura: (nods) don't mention it.

(Timeskip to the fight with desmond)

Desmond: project blockbuster will give me the strength to return cadmus to nominal levels.

Desmond drinks some fluid from a vile and suddenly starts to grow, his skin becoming grey, his face taking a more animalistic appearance.

Wolverine: well (snikt) shit.

The now morphed desmond growled before rushing the team who fanned out, wolverine, X-23, Hex and reine on the right, while robin, kid flash, aqualad and superboy on the left. Kid flash uses his speed to rapidly attack at Desmonds legs, making the man turned monster annoyed and attempting to strike at the speedster but failing at every turn, wolverine and his fellow clawed friends jumped onto desmonds back and began to repeatedly claw his back. The former doctor roared and began running and smashing through walls, trying to get them off, he then slams his back into a wall, knocking the 3 of the 4 off, the 3 being, wolverine, reine and X23, hex held on and jumped over desmond and scratched his face before using her psionic power to throw him away.
Aqualad then creates water hooks and wraps them around desmond shoulders and tosses him up in the air where superboy sledgehammered him down into the ground, desmond gets up and sees robin running up to him and attempts to charge at him only for robin to throw smoke pellets at his face blinding him. Wanda then uses her powers to restrain him but it becomes quite a struggle as desmond slowly moves towards her after his vision returns. Superboy roars and charges at him with wolverine closely behind him and, seeing this, desmond manages to break free from Wanda's control, causing her to recoil slightly.

Wolverine: hey red! Throw me!

Wanda turns to wolverine and uses her power to grab wolverine and throw him at Desmond. Said mutated doctor sees him and gets impaled through the chest making him yell in slight pain before grabbing the mutant and using him to smash him into superboy and then toss him into a container. X23 and reine rush desmonds sides and stab him in his hands and bring him down by having aqualad kick the back of his left leg, and wanda slashing the other. Robin jumps on the monsters back and uses his quarterstaff to force desmonds head up allowing kid flash to release a series of punches before he moves out of the way and superboy gives a powerful uppercut making desmond fly through the ceiling and go above ground. The heroes jumped through the hole and see they're still in the project cadmus building. Desmond gets up and roars. Superboy rushes Desmond and prepares to hit him only to get grabbed and slammed into a wall before getting tossed. The half kryptonian gets up and tries to fly only to realise that for some unknown reason, he's unable to. Realising this, he didn't have time to react as desmond punches him into a few pipes. Wanda uses her psionic powers to try and restrain him again but like before she is struggling.

Kid flash: how the heck are we supposed to beat this guy?

Aqualad: we need a new form of attack, something that can knock him out of the fight entirely.

Robin: like what? This guy can take hits from superboy.

X23: (sniffs) I smell gas.

Reine: (sniffs) I smell it too, it's all around us.

Aqualad immediately forms a plan.

Aqualad: robin, place explosives around the area, we can blow this place and bury desmond underneath it.

Robin: got it, give me 3 minutes.

Wolverine: you got it shrimp. (Looks at wanda) hey red, think you can push him back?

Wanda says nothing but let's out a scream and sends desmond flying back. Robin begins to place explosives around the building while the others attack Desmond to buy the boy wonder time. Robin jumps to a couple of pipes and places an explosive near a couple of broken ones, he turns to the battle and see kid flash get tossed across the place before quickly landing on his feet and going back to fighting.

Robin (in head): better be quicker.

After moving around the room and dodging things and people being tossed near him. He manages to place the required amount and goes to call out to his team only to get backhanded by desmond into a container, he looks up and sees desmonds about to throw a punch only for wolverine to jump in front and throw his fist at desmonds, when they both impact, a mini shockwave appeared due to the adamantium skeleton of wolverine and mutated bones of desmond colliding, wolverine then releases his claws, stabbing them through desmonds knuckles making him yell in pain and backing up. The mutant then turns to robin.

Wolverine: are ya done?

Robin: yeah!

Wolverine: (looks at everyone) the explosives are set!! Get out of here! I'll hold this bastard off!

Robin: you sure?!

Wolverine: don't worry bub, I heal real fast.

Robin nods slightly and he and the rest of the team run out of the building just as wolverine and desmond lunge at eachother. Once the team is out, robin hits detonation button on his wrist, causing the building to blow and collapse in on itself. The group was about to search for wolverine when a body comes out of the rubble, the group tense when they see Desmond standing but immediately relax when the body collapses and in his place was wolverine claws still fully extended, most of his suit in tatters and half his mask destroyed revealing his face, his claws recede and his wounds are instantly closed, leaving only the blood that came from it. The group walk up to him.

Aqualad: are you alright?

Wolverine: I'm fine, nothing I can't heal from.

Superboy looks up at the night sky and sees the full moon, he stares at it, completely fixated.

Kid flash: see? What did we tell ya? The moon! It's great right?

Wolverine suddenly catches multiple scents and looks up the sky, the weapon X mutants catch it too and look up, soon the rest of the group look and see the justice league descending to them (superman, batman, wonder woman, black canary, flash, aquaman, green lantern [hal jordan], red tornado). Once the JL lands, the YJ and JL stare eachother, one in nervousness and emotionless, while the other with indifference, waiting for an explanation. Superboy walks up to superman and shows the S symbol on his chest. The group are in shock however, batman snaps out of it and speaks.

Batman: start talking.

(Mini timeskip)

Most of the JL are talking amongst eachother with what they've discovered, superman glances at his clone who said clone sees and gives a little smile, one of hope but superman turns away and continues talking to the other heroes, missing the hurt look that adorned superboy's face, aqualad, Robin and kid flash see this and start speaking to superboy. Meanwhile, wolverine, Laura, reine and wanda are talking to wonder woman and black canary.

Black canary: (concerned) you sure you're alright?

Y/N: I'm fine, just....a little concerned about something.

Black canary: what's wrong?

Y/N: that Desmond guy knew I was from the weapon X program.

Wonder woman: you think he was apart of the project?

Y/N: I wouldn't doubt it, considering (motions to the other weapon X subjects) that they were found in pods and from what robin told me, were the 2nd phase of the program.

The 2 leaguers nod their heads before looking at the 3 female mutants and talking to them. The 2 JL members don't get much from them as they were told by the mutant projects that most of their memories were erased, similar to wolverine. After some time the 2 stop talking and prepare to report their findings to the rest of the league however, before doing so, they turn to wolverine and smile at him.

Wonder woman: no matter what the others have and will say, you've done us proud.

Wolverine: tch, it was nothing (smiles a little from the praise).

The 2 leaguers catch the smile and but say nothing, knowing that wolverine loves to play the "tough guy" act. Wolverine and the other mutants join up with YJ just as the rest of the JL walk up to them, however superman has quick words with superboy before flying off, leaving a slightly saddened superboy.

Batman: project cadmus will be thoroughly searched, all 42 levels, however-

Flash: you should've called!

Batman: yelling aside, you disobeyed orders and hacked league systems, it is clear that you are all not ready to be apart of something bigger.

Kid flash: you can't be serious! Did you see what we've done?!

Aqualad: wally is right, if we hadn't stepped in-

Aquaman: stand down kaldur.

Aqualad: apologies my king, but no (aquaman is shocked), we did great work tonight, work that you trained us to do.

Robin: batman, you and everyone else has taught to be ready for something like this, or why teach us at all?

Superboy: why do they get to decide, its simple, get onboard, or get out.

The 3 female mutants say nothing but you can see the determination in their eyes, they refuse to sit by and do nothing, and they won't anybody stop them.

Wolverine: you heard boy scout jr bats, you either roll with us, or you go fuck yourself.

Batman glares at wolverine while the rest of the league just sigh or roll their eyes, it was not a secret that the 2 hate eachother, one would constantly insult and try to get under his skin while the other would remained slightly indifferent to it and tried to instill fear but it never worked. After a moment, batman speaks.

Batman: give me 3 days.

(Timeskip-next day)

Batman is currently talking to the team (who are in their casual clothes [imagine reine and X-23 wearing the same clothes they're wearing in the picture with laura wearing a casual jacket and wanda is wearing the same clothes as the scarlet witch in avengers age of ultron]) inside a cave.

Batman: this cave was the original home base for the league until it was compromised, we are now bringing it back for recruits just like all of you, here you will be trained and be tasked with missions-

Dick: real missions?

Batman: yes, but covert.

Flash: the big threats will be for the justice league, there's a reason (points at his symbol) why we have these targets on our chests.

Aquaman: but cadmus has shown us that the bad guys are getting smarter.

Batman: you will be assigned caretakers to oversee your training and report anything of interest to the league, black canary and red tornado will be the first assigned. The 8 of you are the new generation of heroes that will one day take our places and we want you to be fully prepared for the unseen threats that could come at any moment.

The group of young heroes smile at one another before wally realizes something.

Wally: wait, 8?

A flash of light appears behind them, making everyone turn and see Martian manhunter and what looked like a female Martian.

Martian manhunter: I hope we were not late to the meeting.

Batman: right on time.

Martian manhunter: (nods) everyone this is my niece, M'gann M'orzz.

M'gann: hi everyone! If you like, you can call me Megan Morse, that's my earth name.

Wally: (whispers to dick) starting to like this gig more and more.

Wally speed runs to M'gann and introduces himself soon followed by everyone else, however the mutants, kryptonian clone and Y/N stay back and watch, silently observing the interaction with a bit of envy, with superboy and the weapon X mutants it was understandable however, Y/N was a different story, sure he was able to friendly converse with people like robin, black canary and wonder woman, but that was because they knew who he was before and after meeting the league and many of the heroes were quite judgemental about him, still thinking he's a liability and is just a weapons project and Y/N despite being a tough guy doesn't want this group to think of him like that, because in a way the people who were judgemental were right due to Y/N always having a slight urge to kill people, like a voice in his head yelling at him to let everything go and release the beast.

Robin: (looks at Y/N and the others) hey guys, come greet miss M!

But for now, Y/N didn't have that feeling, and they're was no one to judge him on what and who he is at the moment, well beside the dark knight. The group walk up to her and start introducing themselves to the young martian, the clawed mutants and kryptonian clone are monotone in their introductions but Y/N is somewhat friendly and warm, making M'gann smile to which said mutant let's one out himself. M'gann then looks at Y/N's shirt which has 3 red claw Mark's in an X symbol, her shirt morphs from white to back and a big red X goes from her shoulders to her waist.

M'gann: I like your shirt.

Y/N: (smiles) yours is not bad too.

M'gann giggles a little before talking to the others. Y/N stands next to aqualad and ignites a cigar before taking a puff from it, the 2 exchange smiles.

Aquaman: I was wrong yesterday, today IS the day.

Y/N: yeah, (puffs from cigar) it's our Independence Day.
