Lucy's POV

It's been a week since then. The guild has gotten even worse since they found out.

They started to call me 'Miss. Replacement'. Instead of just throwing things at me they started to attack me with their magic. I have burns from Macao and Natsu, There are so many paper cuts on my arms from Cana it isn't even funny, I will randomly twitch and shake from Laxus's Lightning, Erza finds it so funny to throw swords at me when I walk by.

Oh, yeah, once Gray froze me in a giant Icecube thing. He didn't let me out till Gajeel literally beat some sense into him. I never did thank him for that.

Juvia even told me she didn't love Gray anymore because of it, I know she's lying. She tends to sneak glances at him when she thinks I'm not looking. I know she's trying she even started to finally call me Lucy. Really they were made for each other, Oh my god I sound like Mirajane.

Did I mention all the scars? No? Well, let's just say they look like really bad Tattoos all over my body. I'm too ashamed to wear anything short at all anymore. My closet consists of long sleeved sweaters and Jeans.

But, enough is enough. I got out paper and wrote one letter to my true friends, one to team Natsu, one to Master, and one to the whole guild, I put pictures of all the scars on me so they know what they did. I put them in my drawer and locked it so they wouldn't get them till I came back.

One last time. Just one last job. Then... I'm gone. When I get back from the job I'll give the letters and pictures to Master and leave.

First I'm getting rid of the mark. The thing linking me to this hell hole. My Insignia.

I pulled out a single black fingerless glove and used a marker to copy the Fairy Tail mark onto it. I then slipped on a pair of light denim Jeans, and a mint green sweater.

I locked the apartment door and left. I need to get a high paying job to pay for the past month and the lease. That's 70,000 plus 50,000 Jewel which makes 120,000 Jewel in total. Well this is gonna be fun (note the sarcasm).

I made my way to the Guild and when I get there I immediately duck to avoid an oncoming attack from a member. Their sword now embedded in the spot where my head was moments ago.

"Awww... I missed." Someone said. I turned to see Natsu with a pout on his face and Erza scolding him for damaging the door with her sword. Not taking a second to make sure I was okay. Yeah, some nakama you are.

Turned my head to see Levy and Juvia with concerned expressions on their faces. I showed them a forced smile so they knew I was okay, and sat with them at the bar.

"Where are the others?" I asked

"Out on jobs" Levy replied

"Oh" was all I could manage say.

"Is something wrong?" She asked her concerned expression returning

"I'm fine" I replied

"Juvia thinks Lov- Lucy is lying." She says catching herself at the last minute. "Did Gray do something again?" she asked. Yes she did just leave out the -sama she normally adds to his name. This is painful for her, I can tell.

"No. Honestly I'm fine" I looked over the counter "Is Mira on a job as well?"

"No, she had to go pick something's up for the bar. If you want a job you have to have Master confirm it while she's gone." Levy told me.

"Okay" I said. Well at least I can talk to him without the others getting suspicious. I thought.

I got off the stool and went over to the request board to look for a good job.

"Hey Levy?"

"Yeah?"

"Why does it look like this job was put up twice?" I asked

"Oh, team Natsu tried to do it." Juvia said a little venom obvious in her voice." But they failed"

"Oh." I said. I took it down from the board seeing as it was paying a good amount. "May as well" I muttered.

I went up to Masters Office to get it confirmed. I knocked on the door and waited for a few seconds until I heard a faint "Come in" and opened the door.

I saw Master filling out paper work with the job book nest to him opened to a new page. I silently closed the door behind me, and walked to his desk handing him the request. He signed it off on the book and gave it back expecting me to leave.

Instead I held out my hand with the Insignia on it.

"When I come back I'm leaving. So can you remove the mark?"

He looked completely baffled. "Why my child?" He asked. Oh fun explaining time! (Sarcasm again.)

Makarov's POV

"Why my child?" I asked completely Baffled. Taking a deep breathe she began.

"This is not the real Fairy Tail. The real Fairy Tail is a place where family and friends matter. I joined this guild because I admired how they put their comrades before themselves, and when in trouble would forget their differences and fight together. I admired how it didn't matter if you were doing good or bad, as long as you helped each other."

Tears started to leak from her chocolate brown eyes as she took in a shaky breathe.

"But that's not this place. This is a living hell. I'm leaving to look for the real Fairy Tail" her expression changed from one of sadness and hurt; to one of determination "If it doesn't exist then I shall create it. That is why."

"I wanted to do one final job as a wizard of Fairy Tail. But, if I have this Insignia on for another second I might go crazy." She said staring at me.

"As you wish." I put my hand over her mark chanted a few words and it disappeared.

"Thank you Makarov. You were always like the Dad I wished I had" She said forcing back her tears, she smiled and opened the door to my office and left.

"Those kids are going to be punished for this" I mumbled looking out the window. "Mavis. What has your Guild become?"

Lucy's POV (AGAIN)

As I walked out of Master's Office I wiped away my tears and slipped the glove on over my now blank hand. I clutched the job request in my fist and made my way back to the bar.

"Bye Levy, Juvia. I'm going on a job!" I said cheerily trying to hide my real emotions.

"Bye Lu-chan!"

"Bye Lucy!"

I waved as I exited the guild letting my mind wander as I made my way to the train station.

When I finally got there I stopped arguing to myself about which type of chocolate was better, Milk or Dark, and bought my ticket. I hopped on the train and took an empty seat letting my head press against the cool glass.

"This is gonna be a long ride" I said out loud as I leaned back in my seat.

At the job location

I got off the train and stretched my cramping limbs. "Not. Fun." I mumbled stretching. When I relaxed my arms I saw two girls who seemed to be 13 or 14 staring at me.

One had blood red eyes and long straight black hair; she had a red bow tied on the top of her head like a headband. She was wearing a dark blue sleeveless top and a short black skirt. She had on a pair of plain black flats; a necklace with a silver moon charm was hanging from her neck.

The other had long straight hair so blond it was nearly white and glowing emerald green eyes. She had a green bow tied on her head the same way as the other one. She was wearing a light orange sleeveless top and a short white skirt. She had on a pair of simple white flats; a necklace with a silver sun charm was hanging from her neck.

When they saw me looking at them they ran towards the exit like they were trying to get away. I shrugged and made my way to the client's house.

When I got there he informed me about the details while a woman wearing a maid's outfit gave us tea. It turns out the monster had been around for a few months. But no matter what guild he hired it always failed.

He showed me a picture one of the villagers had been able to take. It looked like a giant plant with blood red petals and a dark green center where there was a giant mouth with sharp teeth. "Definitely not a house plant" I mumble to myself as I leave his home.

He also informed me that it could shoot a laser kind of thing from its "mouth". Yeah, gotta remember to be careful of that.

I walked through the woods wanting to get this over with.

"What is this stuff" I say out loud after stepping into another mound of sticky green glue type thing. "EWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!" I scream as some falls on my head from a branch. "THIS IS NOT SNOW YOU KNOW!!!!" I scream at the tree.

I make my way over to a giant clearing where I see the flower. As soon as I step into the field I jump out of the way. Some of the goo flew off and the vines punctured it.

"So it's like a censure huh" I mumble "Great, just fucking perfect." I say a little louder. As I land I shake off as much goop as I can when I look up I see a ball of light in its mouth thing.

"SHIT" I scream but before I can move I'm enveloped in a blinding light.

1680 words oh my god. I think this is the longest one yet. anyway who liked the colorful language? I've been typing for the past 3 hours soooooo... my hands are killing me. anyway
