Lucy's POV

It's been nearly three months since lisanna came back from Edolas. Lately everyone has been either ignoring me, or throwing things at me. Well, that is everyone except Wendy, Levy, Mirajane, Carla, Happy, Gajeel, Lisanna, Juvia and, Master. After she returned from Edolas Lisanna and I, became really close friends.

Did I mention that today is my birthday? No? Oh... Well, I did now. I decided to dress up.

I summoned Cancer and got him to put my hair up in a loose braid over my shoulder (kinda like Elsa's).

I then picked out a knee length flowing dress, that was a deep blue with dark green splotches. it was tight around my waist and it was sleeveless. it had two straps that tied together at the back of my neck. leaving my back open. I put on a pair of tan high heeled sandals and headed towards the guild.

At the Guild

When I got there I experienced the following (which have sadly become almost routine)- bottles of magic being thrown, being hit by barrels(Damn you barrels!!!!), being splashed with beer. All while I silently prayed to god that my makeup wasn't running. I quietly sat next to Levy, still feeling the glares of some people.

"Are you alright Lu-chan?" Levy asked me. her face showing she was obviously concerned.

"I'm fine." I replied plastering a fake smile onto my face.

"Oh, I almost forgot." levy said pulling something out of her pocket."happy birthday Lu-chan!"

She handed me a golden charm bracelet with a key and a pen charm already attached."Thank you Levy-chan it's beautiful" I said. this time my smile was genuine.

"Lucy-San!" I turned my head to see Wendy and Carla running over here(Carla flying of course). "hey guys" I said still smiling as Wendy caught her breathe(ironic right?). She held out a small black box.

I gently took it from her outstretched hands and opened it to reveal "a gate key!" I gasped happily. "Yep, the key of the warrior princess, Anne" she said.

"Wow. No ones seen this key for hundreds of years." I exclaimed now squealing like a baby pig."It was the payment of our last mission!" She stated happily.

Carla cleared her throat causing us to look at her."I heard Levy-San got you a charm bracelet so..."the exceed said while holding up a golden pair of angel wings , and a small kitten face charm. "So you never forget us" she said. i smiled, feeling my eyes starting to water."You're saying that like I'm leaving you guys."

"One day ypu might."

"I won't. Not as long as I can help it." I said, finally letting my tears fall freely. I quickly wiped them away "I-" I started but was cut off by Happy literally flying into me. "Happy birthday!" he yelled. He held out a golden fish charm 'of course' I thought.

I gently took it from his outstretched paws, and gently put it on the bracelet along with the ones Carla gave me."This is the best birthday ever!" I proclaimed enthusiastically. Then we... well... we talk.

Levy asked me how my book was coming. When I told her I was nearly finished her eyes literally bugged out of her head in excitement. This made everyone in our little group of misfits laugh(Happy already went over to the rest of team Natsu BTW). While we were laughing I saw a silver necklace with an emerald in the middle, the bottom seeming to have a flower design in silver- hanging infront of my face(pic in next chapter). "Whoa" I said compeletly mezmerized.

"Here" said a voice behind me. I whipped my head around to see Lisanna holding up the necklace and smiling at me. "Thank you!" I squeeled. She placed it in my hands and held my hair up while I put it on.

"Ironically it matches what I'm wearing."mI said giggling. "Yeah" she replied. With that I thought There is absolutely nothing that can ruin today. Oh boy how wrong was I.

"Hey Luce". I looked behind me to see Natsu making his way over here."Can we talk?" he asked with a goofy smile. "Sure" I replied. As I walked out of the guild behind Natsu, I saw Juvia and Gajeel give me worried looks. 'I'm fine' I mouthed. They silently nodded their heads and walked towards the rest of my loyal friends.

When we got outside we walked to the side a bit. Finally I stopped and asked "What do you need?" a smile never leaving my face.

"Okay... Lucy, we decided to kick you off of team Natsu."

"Why?" I asked my smile fading as i awaited the dreadful answer.

"Because; your always hiding behind your spirits, complaing about your rent, your weak, and honestly you were originally just a replacement for Lisanna."

I can't stop my tears from falling as I hung my head. "Hey! What do you think your doing Natsu?!?" Lisanna yelled.I hadn't seen her follow us out.

"Oh, Lisanna! There is an empty spot on the team now."

What hurt the most about this conversation was not that he kicked me off the team. It was the fact he called me weak and said all those horrible things with his stupid grin never leaving his face.

Before I could hear her reply, I ran away.I thought they were my family I said in my head, whilst tears endlessly streamed down my face.

Lisanna's POV

I watched as Lucy ran away. I couldn't believe Natsu would say that to his own family, with a smile none the less. I turned on my heels to chase after her, but she was already gone. I hope she's okay I think to myself as I slowly make my way back to the guild. Leaving a puzzled Natsu behind.
