Last chapter;

I will make this guy regret everything he has done. And I'll make sure he regrets it.

Toms POV

When I fought with Tord I didn't expect him to that that the stuff that was found in me. Personally I think I look better as a monster.

Anyways, there was soldiers on either side of me keeping me down with rope. I can get out any time I want to really.. but.. I chose to do it when the time was right.

I saw Tord walking down the hallway ahead of me. Coming down towards me and I didn't see y/n with him. I growled but stayed put waiting for him to get closer.

Before he could even speak to me I leap out of the ropes that weakly held me down. I pounced on top of Tord and picked him up with my mouth and began to run. I growled as I was going to try and trap him and have no way of getting out. I wanted to give revenge for being forced to stay inside cage like room for his experiments.

"You are going to regret this!!" I heard him yell and then start saying stuff in probably Norwegian. Tom stoped as soon as he felt a rumbling feeling and heard it with us very good hearing. "You better put me down Tom, else you aren't going to have the good side of things very soon." I heard him. I growled as I dropped him and continued to try and listen.

When I dropped him he took this chance to turn into a monster again and attack me. I roared loudly as I fought back easily slamming him into walls. But I then heard stoping coming down the hallway. I looked and my eyes widened at the sight. All robotic soldiers who carried guns. I watched as I had my last moments with fighting Tord. I flung him towards the medal soldiers as I ran the other direction. But there was regular soldiers there.

I stopped looking back and fourth and decided to trample through the crowd of soldiers as they were easier to knock over.

I continued to run and tried to find a place I knew they wouldn't find me

Y/n POV

I was going as fast as I can to try and find Pau. I felt the ground shake a bit but ignored it. I found a room that I remember poppy saying it was a room Pau liked to go into and relaxed. I burst in and was relieved that he was there.

"Y/n..?" He said confused as I ran over to him. "I have no time to explain any details. But please I need you to listen." I said to him reaching in my pocket to get the items poppy gave me. I grabbed his hand and put those items in there. "Don't look at what I gave you until you help me with what is going on. Poppy has sent me to you to start to work with the 'first' plan she came up with to help Tom and I out." I said quickly.

I saw him slowly hold the stuff and soon placed it into his pocket once I said that. "Wow.. she really wants to start that? What is going on?" He asked as he was shocked. "Too much to explain, now what do I need to do to help?" I asked him.

"Well... her first plan was to set this whole place on fire. But that was when she was angry about something.... but... I guess as it's the only thing we got." He says as he stood up from his chair. "Ok, come to this map," he says pointing to a map of the base on the wall. "There is three big heaters that heat the base. We need to turn each one to its highest so it gives off more carbon and heat. Next we need to go to the army's vehicles and just open their gas tank caps so the heat can get inside better. It's very, very risky. But we have to get the other soldiers in on this as... I don't want them dying In here.." pau says to me as I nodded. Taking a mental note of important things. "Ok, how can I help get the word around? Just tell people there is a fire?" I asked him. "All we got to do is set the fire arm. Yes the water systems will go off but they only last half an hour. And the gas tanks we have will definitely be stronger then all the water." Pau says as he walked over to a lever that activates the alarm. "Are you for sure you want to go through this plan?" Pau asked me. I nodded as he then pulled down the lever

Toms Pov

I suddenly saw lights that were attached to the sides of the hallway flash and a speaker saying, "there is a fire inside the building. I repeat, there is a fire in the building. Evacuate to your nearest exit of the base and proceed with system 'back-fire'.". That message repeats as my ears go down thinking of where y/n could be. I knew what code 'back-fire' means. There is a lot of codes that are used for different things that could happen. For 'back-fire' it's just a normal fire drill like sequence that involves after going outside is to wait for instruction from their leader. If the fire is really bad, the soldiers will have to go through the code 'back-to-pack' means to evacuate the area and begin to walk to a secret underground base that was specifically built for this reason. It's crazy how many things this army has just so it doesn't get over thrown.

"Put me down Tom!!" I heard Tord yell once more bit I ignored him. I continued to run to the experimental rooms and soon tossed Tord into one. I used my paw to slam the door shut and use my claws to bend the metal to make it very difficult and have to use metal melting tools to get it open.

I heard him yelling and banging on the door. I looked back down the hallway to see the robot soldiers and the normal soldiers running towards me.... well.. maybe not the normal soldiers, there is an exit at the end of the hall where I am at so I continued to run.

I glanced back seeing how all the robots stoped at that door and began to work on getting him out of the room. I guess he programmed them to save him..

As I continued to run I began to smell.. a gas like scent. I was curious and ran towards it and almost took out y/n when she came out of the room.

"Tom!!!" I heard her say and quickly hugged my leg. I looked down at her with my tail hitting the ground. "Tom, I need your help. This is going to be very risky but you have to trust me with this. I need your help getting me to their boiler rooms so I can turn up the gas levels onto them. Heating up the base and getting gas into the air will help with the plan poppy has put." I heard her say. I nodded and quickly picked her up with my mouth and set her onto my back.

I knew this place very well so I knew where exactly to take her. All the yelling, the alarms going off, and watching soldier evacuate just made me run with y/n on me. I made sure she wouldn't fall off but also be as quick as I could.

I was easily able to reach the next boiler room for her let her get down and in. I made sure to look around so people wouldn't try to stop her. I then looked in the room seeing her turning all the tanks to its highest level and run back to me.

We did the same thing for the last corner before running into Pau. "Is it all done?" We heard him ask and y/n nodded saying, "yeah, let's get out of here now" y/n says.

"Wait.. where is Tord?" He asked as he noticed that some people were looking for him. "I trapped him in a room. His mini robots will get him out. But not enough time to capture us again." I say. But it was a little hard to speak in this form.

"Ok... I'm going to stall the plan just a little bit.. I don't want anyone getting hurt.. is poppy out?" Pau then asked. I heard no answer from y/n until she said. "Yeah.. she made it out.." I could tell that was a lie there... but I'll ask her about it later.

"Ok, you two can get out now. I'm just going to make sure Tord gets out because... I don't want someone that I've been close with to go out in a way like this. I just seems wrong to me. So just go out there and head south of the woods. I'll meet and find you guys at this place that should look like a log cabin. Don't worry; there should be no one there." Pau said to us. I nodded as I took off with y/n still on my back. I was upset that he was wanting to save him.. but at the same time, I also understand why in a way.

"Ok! Get out of here I'm going to set the fire soon!" He says as thats when I took off. I went as fast as I could keeping what Pau said in my mind. "Tom wait! They are chasing us!" I can hear y/n as I glanced back. A lot of them were trying to chase after but but I can run so much faster.

I huffed running as fast as I can and trying to pay attention to not running into any trees. I definitely got away from those soldiers for how fast i went... but I also forgot y/n was on my back so I slowed down at a safe distance. "Y/n.. are you ok..?" I asked as I panted. "Y-yup!" I heard her say. I felt her clinging onto my fur, it didn't hurt but I slowed down for her.

After walking for a while we finally made it to the house. I focused on trying to make myself go back to normal, as I was in that form for a very long time. I put y/n down and sit down and closed my eyes focusing on relaxing my body.

Y/n pov

I looked up at Tom watching him slowly get smaller and turn to normal. I ran my hand through my hair looking at the log cabin. It looks really well in shape.. I wonder if this was a place Pau and poppy went to..

Soon going inside with Tom I noticed it was a place Pau and Poppy stayed at. I smiled seeing a few pictures of the two on the walls along with other people. "Hey y/n.. I wanted to ask you this earlier but saved it for here... where is poppy?" I heard Tom ask me.

I looked down before looking up at him, holding myself back from crying because the memories flooded back in. "She.. she's gone.. Tord shot her.." I told him. I saw his eyes go wide, "why?!" I heard him say. "He knew about her helping you... and I guess he kept that to himself until he hand enough of her.." i told him.

I looked down again feeling a few tears prick in my eyes. "She told me to tell you that.. you are very strong for what you've gone through... and that she is sorry for not being there quick enough.." I said. I felt Tom hug me tightly. I can tell he was crying too. "She shouldn't be sorry..." I heard him say quietly. "I made sure to tell her that..." I cried into him. It's going to hurt me way more to tell pau...

But for now... we should take an easy..
