Chapter 48 -- Paranoia

[it's me, I'm the fan.]

I'm really paranoid now. I can't tell if I'm just making stuff up or if there really is someone following me. I mean, it doesn't make much sense. Why would someone follow some random college girl around, making themselves slightly known to her?

No, no. There wasn't anyone. Ever. Any random guys I've seen have just been random guys who just happened to watch me. Or because I'm a TV star.

Right.

Or at least that's what I have to tell myself in order to get out of the bathroom. After class I thought I saw a face outside the window, hiding in the bushes so I ran into the bathroom to hide. It probably wasn't a good idea though. If I'd left with people there would be less of a chance I got attacked.

No no no no. There's no one trying to get me or attack me. It's all made up in my head.

I take three deep breaths and open the stall.

"Rough one, eh?" The cleaning lady asks as I come out.

"Oh, I..." I blush and run out of the bathroom.

I calmly walk outside the building and to my car. Once I get in I quickly lock the doors. Better safe than sorry, that's just good practice for everything. I've heard stories about people finding pieces of paper on windshields and when they get out to take it, men grab them or steal their cars.

But I can't think of that now. I just have to get home and run to Ashtons side and just have him hold me. That will help.

I leave the school's parking lot and get onto the road that takes me to my apartment. It's only about ten minutes. Only four turns and two hills that I have to drive. I can do it. I can make it home.

Duh, you make it home everyday and today is just like every normal day.

I turn out of the school and onto the main road. Up one hill, turn once. A car pulls out of a driveway behind me. My hands grip the steering wheel tightly. My knuckles are white as I watch and make sure the car turns.

And it does.

Down the same street I'm going down.

I watch him in my rear view mirror. He's watching me.

No he isn't. He's looking ahead like a good driver should do. Like what I should be doing. I force myself to look at the road and not behind me.

Turn again and down a big hill. The car is still following me. I start speeding up on the busy side road, going way over the limit. The car keeps up with me, eventually putting on sirens.

What do I do?! Do I pull over? It's an unmarked police car. How do I know it's real and not the guy coming to attack me?

I pull out my phone and pull over. I get ready to dial Ashtons number as the man gets out of his car.

Oh god. He's coming to the car. I stare at the side mirror and watch him as he walks up the the car. I can't. I can't do it. I have to go, have to keep driving. I'm almost home. Just one more turn and straight a little bit. Then I'm home with Ashton instead of being dragged off to some attackers home!

I scream when he knocks on the window, startling me out of my daydream/nightmare. He makes a motion for me to roll down the window and I do so. I sit in my seat with my eyes down, shaking, wondering what he's going to do to me.

"Do you have any idea what speed you were going?" He asks.

"F-fast, sir." I wish he'd just grab me already. That way the suspense would be over.

"Why are you shaking? What's wrong-"

I burst into tears and rest my head on the wheel. The officer is silent for a moment.

"Listen honey. I need you to answer me honestly. Have you ever gotten a ticket before?" I shake my head, unable to speak. "Okay. I'm going to let you off this time. Go home and calm down a bit; and next time don't drive so quickly."

I nod and he walks away.

Once I compose myself, I drive off. He was a nice guy. Maybe I am just making all of this up.

so originally i was going to end this book with the next chapter, but I didn't think I had enough to write an entire other book, so that's why I created the 'parts' so part 3 is just "the second book" or whatever (it also has a special surprise :D ) Can't believe I've gotten this far with it...I started writing bits of this book years ago when I got the idea in a dream. I fleshed it out a lot, but most of the story ideas I get come from dreams. If you write stories, where do you get your inspiration from?

Also, I feel like I need to share this great thing I've done. I've found out you can change the photo of apps on iPhones and....might have made most of my apps photos of 5sos and 1D. And I'm not sorry about it.

Wattpad is the one im proudest of

Anywhooo hope you enjoyed this complete chaos of a chapter. Next chapter should be uploaded soon. I've had it written before I even wrote the second chapter of this book. I wrote it like 4 years ago so I have to do some editing.
