Sola

My alarm went off at 5am and I was begging time to give me a few more minutes of sleep, which she can't give cause I'm going to school now.
I woke again and saw it was 5:30am and nobody was awake. Dotun was snoring on his bed, I should not wake him now because he has lectures in the afternoon.
I went to the kicthen and decided on making bread and eggs, simple and delicious.

Unfortunately for me, I had to wait and listen to these twins bickering. They both fighting on who should drive but Dotun finally won because he wanted to take the car to the mechanic to do somethings.

"Can we go now?" I asked while they were playing with their cereals like children.

"I wonder how you like bread." Dotun said as he drank the milk in his bowl like a child.

"Asin. If I eat bread, I'm going to eat like two slices and tea." Dara added, drinking from her bowl also.

"Bread is bea jor, you just have an old taste." I snapped.

They both opened their mouths like fishes and I couldn't help but smile.

"Young man, are you ready for school now?"  Dotun asked, with a stern tone.

"Yes, I got my uniform and my bag but I need these twins to get their butts into the car and take me to school." I stated in a matter of factuality.

"Ohhhh, you are still going to school sef." Dara palm slapped her forehead.

"Agba de." I replied. (Old age has arrived.)

"You're just jealous." And they both gave each other a high five.

Finally, they got up and did some house things like turing off the lights and we walked to the car.

I was taking notes as Mr. Bankole was teaching, We were reading a text for our vocabulary development and our teacher just likes adding little details that may be needed or I might need every now and then.

"Uhmm, excuse me sir." The new Guidance Counsellor seeked the teacher's permission. She was in a pink shirt and a black skirt with black flats as well.

"Yes, go on." Then all eyes fell on the new student beside her.

"Why is he just resuming?" Jade whispered.

I don't know

The new guy was already in his uniform which complimented his tall figure. He had a round face, dark skinned, broad shoulders, a well built chest and held a face with no emotions.

The Guidance Counsellor introduced him as our new classmate. He took at seat by the wall and kept quiet.

"You are welcome uhmm..." Mr. Bankole asked for his name.

"Sola." He said with a semi baritone voice.

"Sola Ogundeyi." He finished his sentence.

I think he caught me staring at me and raised an eyebrow at me. With that, I looked away.

"Well, you're welcome to our school." Mr. Bankole finally said. He continued his class and often times asked Sola who replied shortly. He is smart for a mystery guy.

"I swear if I'm going to hear Sola one more thing,I think I'm going to break." Lara whispered, I laughed at the way she pronounced his name. She's been in the school for two years and yet her accent isn't gone. Well, she does travel back and forth being a model like she said.

The class was finally over and we had Physics, who was also our class teacher, Mr. Ojo.  I liked Physics, I just don't understand why Maths doesn't enter my head like that.

After teaching and giving us work to do. He started looking around the class, which is a habit of his. He whispered to the new boy...Sola and smiled when he left his seat.

"We are going to have our seats re arranged since there are so many students without partners." He announced.

In like ten minutes or more, everyone was re arranged and guess who was my partner...Folarin. When I saw that, he gave me a smile while I groaned to myself.

"Hey babe." He greeted.

"I'm Ayo, not your babe." I snapped. Who does he think of himself?

"I was just messing with you girly." He smiled at me again.

"Okay." I shrugged.

"Besides, I think we should know each other better." He continued.

"Okay."  I replied again,I didn't care anyways so why is he bugging me?

"Okay?" He said and sounded like I should have said more than that.
