Chapter 26
Ayo
I got home dumbfounded and very puzzled.
Why would Folarin be involved in drugs and tell me that Sola is. It just doesn't make sense. So who is the drug dealer now?
Maybe Lara was right, there is a lot of things I needed to know. I just have to wait for Sola to get back to school cause we need to talk.
I shook myself out of my thoughts and went back to my review my chemistry assignment.

We were having our first period in the morning and I kept glancing at the front door waiting for the person I was hoping for to just walk in.
After the first period, I could not be bothered anymore ,I sighed and put my books in my bag until I heard gasps from everyone. Finally I knew that Sola was around.
He was in his sport wear of a white t-shirt and grey jogger which had black lines at the side with a Nike canvas, he hung his black backpack on his shoulder quite casually and had his adorable but neutral face on.
Sola scanned the class and walked to his seat while I used his eyes to follow him.
Surprisingly, Lara went up to him and made small talk.
It made my heart ache that I could not be there for him like that. It wasn't like I could not, I was just getting scared and tired of the challenges ahead of it.
*****
Classes went on, our Physics teacher came to the class during break time and called out for Sola in front of the whole class.
"Sola my boy, how are you today?" He asked him with much concern in his voice.
"I am fine sir. You?"
Okay, is it just me or did this voice get deeper and it shook me a bit.
"I am doing well, thank you. I hope the online coaching helped you to catch up?" So maybe that was why he was always online.
"Yes sir, it did." He answered, giving a short smirk before returning to his seat.

We had our break then extra curriculum activities. A lot of boys went to play football, some went outside to form their cliques, while the rest went to the library.
Lara left school early because she had a show in Lagos tomorrow. She passed my seat and gave me a stern look, used her head to signal to Sola's seat before leaving me with no choice but to try and talk to him
After debating on whether to go and end this silly drama between Sola and me now, later or in person.I walked up to his seat.
"Hi." I said casually. Not knowing what else to say.
"Hey." He muttered soflty before raising his head to look at me fidgeting with my fingers in front of his desk.
I sighed in defeat and said. "We really need to talk." Gulping hard, waiting for his response.
"The second library downstairs?" He gave a location while I nodded in agreement.
He got up and took a few books with him while I lead the way.
Time for the moment of truth....
****
We sat down beside each other, not saying a word since we got to the library.
"What exactly happened?" I broke the silence immediately.
He looked at me, waiting for me to go on.
"Why do you make me feel like I am important to you sometimes and not important most of the time. Is it that you don't trust me or I am just not good enough..." I poured my mind out but Sola stopped me in my tracks as he sighed.
I waited for his to say something but he said nothing until I noticed the chain he wears a lot, the jewellery shining in his chocolate skin.
"Why do you wear this anyway?" I was about to touch it untill he grabbed my hand.
"Don't ever touch it!" He glared at me while my face fell at his reaction.
He let go of my hand slowly, his face falling a bit as well.
"All you answers are in here." He brought out a red diary similar to the one in Princess Diaries but more masculine with a maroon red colour and golden designs.
I looked at him a bit before taking it from his hands. The way he held it, it felt like he was ready to pour out his soul to me.
He didn't say anything more and left me in the library dumbfounded, staring at the book like it was my only hope in his boy named Sola.
