Jude woke up to hers and Kit's alarm clock blaring as she shut it off.

It was her first day as being the new town's librarian and she was excited, but early mornings were not her favorite thing, but she could not be anymore excited then to have her girls by her side.

Jude got up and went into the bathroom to shower as she stripped out of her clothes and got in as she felt the warm water on her body.

Ten minutes later, she got out and wrapped a towel around them. She got dressed and went downstairs to see Kit cooking breakfast, singing and dancing as she tried not to laugh.

"Good job sweetheart." Jude said as she applauded him.

"I really need your vocal and dancing lessons." Kit said as Jude went over and kissed him.

"Well, I guess this weekend would be a great time to teach you." Jude said

"Sounds fun baby. Is there any requirements or a dress code?  Kit asked her.

"Wear something nice, but comfortable." Jude said

"Are you ready for your first day of work sweetheart?" Kit asked her.

"Yes!"

"Well, we better get going. Don't want my lady to be late for her first day of work, even though you're the boss."

"I like being my own boss."

"I wish you were mine." Kit whispered in her ear.

"I already was." Jude whispered back.

"I know and I'm in love with her."

"Never did I think I would be in love with someone that loved me for me."

"Well, I do love you for you." Kit said

"And I'm blessed."

Kit drove Jude to the library as Jane and Pepper were already there as Kit kissed her.

"Have a great day darling. I will see you for lunch later on today at eleven." Kit said as Jude smiled.

"Sounds great!" Jude exclaimed as she unbuckled her seatbelt.

"I love you baby." Kit said to her.

"I love you too sweetheart." Jude said as they kissed again as he got to come and open the door for her.

"May I escort you to your door, malady?" Kit asked her as Jude locked her arm with his.

"Yes you may, my kind sir. What do I owe this most pleasurable honor." Jude said

"Nothing baby, I have everything I want right now in front of me." Kit said as Jude puckered her lips as Pepper knocked on the window as they laughed.

"Yes?" Kit asked her.

"Time to open. People have already called us." Pepper said

"Okay darling. I will be there in a minute." Jude said

"I wish I could stay, but Mike will kill me if I left him in charge again, too many customers and not enough help there." Kit said

"But when we get home, I will have you all to myself." Jude said

"Yes you will and I will too." Kit said as he kissed her once more.

They said their goodbyes and she entered the library.

"Y' all need to get married already. I mean, I can tell by his body language that he loves you." Jane said

"Well darling, we promised each other to take it slow and wait till we get married before we even thought about making love to one another." Jude said as her and Jane were straightening up books on the shelf.

"Does he have a single friend or brother?" Jane asked her.

"No, he's the only child and his best friend is married." Jude said

"Why are all the good guys married?" Jane said as Jude smiled.

"You will find someone one day sweetheart." Jude said as she went to the check-out desk where Pepper was sitting.

"People are still at work and just remember girls, smiles are required." Jude said as she smiled.

Later on that day, morning had passed and the girls had a blast during the lunch rush as they officially had their first day of work as Jude was proud of her girls.

Later on that day, it was five o'clock and Kit slowly opened the door to the library as Jude was writing down things she needed to order as she felt two hands on her waist and she got Kit in a chockhold as she realized it was him.

"You scared me darling." Jude said as she let him go as Kit grabbed her glass of water as gulped it down.

"Sorry baby, but you sure do have a strong grip." Kit said as Jude nodded.

"I learned self-defense a long time ago." Jude said

"Well, I will still beat someone's ass over hurting you. I already know one, but it would be a good idea if he never walked in front of me again." Kit said as Jude looked at him.

"It's alright baby. He's off in Rome doing God knows what and with God knows who." Jude said as she gripped the counter.

"And we're here and we're happy." Kit said as he held Jude close.

"I know and I'm just trying to get over what happened."

"I know baby, but let him suffer the consequences. You've suffered enough when you were in that snake pit." Kit said as Jude kissed him.

"I know, but let's just not bring his name up anymore." Jude said as she held onto him.

They closed up the library and walked to their car as he opened her door as she got in and buckled up.

Ten minutes later, they got home as they decided to have leftover chicken fresca as they knew Jane took Pepper home with her as they locked the front door.

"I will go warm up our food baby." Kit said as he went into the kitchen.

"Want a glass of wine baby?" Jude asked her.

"Yes, I would love one." Kit said as he warmes their food up as Jude got out the wine glasses and poured them a drink.

"You know, today was a great day." Jude said

"It was a great day and lunch was great. I really enjoyed that chicken sandwich." Kit said

"I did too and I enjoyed talking to you about our day t work." Jude said as he fed her.

"You know what we need?" Kit questioned her as Jude laughed.

"Food." Jude said

"Music." Kit said as he flipped through the records they had as he put it on the turn table and put the needle on it as he turned it on.

"What is our song of the night?" Jude asked as she heard the music.

"I've got sunshine on a cloudy day
When it's cold outside I've got the month of May
Well I guess you'd say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl (my girl, my girl)
Talkin' 'bout my girl (my girl)." Kit started singing to her as she smiled.

"My, my, my honey, you do need singing lessons, but I am your girl." Jude said

"You're my only girl, well until we have our own little girl." Kit said as Jude smiled.

"I can't wait for that day, but for right now and still when we have our daughter, Pepper and Jane are like our kids. I just can't get over how well she treats Pepper." Jude said as she laid her head on Kit's chest.

"I've got so much honey the bees envy me
I've got a sweeter song than the birds in the trees
Well I guess you'd say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl (my girl, my girl)
Talkin' 'bout my girl (my girl ooh)." Kit sang more as Jude laughed.

"Vocal rhythms darling." Jude said

"If I could sing, I would be an opera singer." Kit said

"Alright, time for food." Jude said as she went into the kitchen.

"What? I could be an opera singer." Kit said

"No comment." Jude said as she sat at the table.

"Well, you could too." Kit said

"I could sing for you, but that did not work the first time I tried it and I am never stepping foot in another bar again." Jude said

"You don't have to. You're at home with me and Pepper." Kit said

"Well, I hope vocal lessons go well, then I may teach you piano lessons." Jude said

"Oh fun." Kit said

"It will be darling, I promise." Jude said as Kit pressed a kiss to her lips.

They finished eating dinner and went to their bedroom and got into the pajamas and brushed their teeth as they laid down together in each other's arms.

"Next week is going to be busy at work. We have children's reading week and lots to prepare for." Jude said

"Do you need any help darling?"  Kit asked her as she smiled.

"Yes, that would be great." Jude said as she slowly started getting sleepy.

"Alright baby, let's get some rest." Kit said as he turned out their lamps and made sure Jude was warm.

"Sounds sweet to me." Jude said as she felt warm and safe in his arms.

"Good night baby, I love you." Kit said as he kissed her lips.

"Good night to you too baby and I love you too." Jude said as they drifted off to sleep as they dreamed about their future together.

"I guess you'd say, what can make me feel this way, my girl." Kit sang in his sleep as Jude smiled listening to him.

"You can't even sing in your sleep, but thank you baby." Jude joked as she was serious about those singing lessons.

"You love it Jude, admit it." Kit mumbled in his sleep.

"Yes I do." Jude mumbled back.
