May 1972

It was now May here in Boston and it was hot. Everyone was happy to have summer here, but it got grudgingly hot both day and night.

Jude was now in her third trimester and she could not wait to have her babies. She would wake up some nights with Braxton Hicks, but sometimes the babies would kick a little too hard.

Today was Jude's baby shower and they were having it here at their home as Kit let her sleep in as she was up half the night with terrible back pain and she barely could find a comfortable position to sleep in.

Everyone was happy to celebrate the upcoming arrival of baby Josiah and Kennedy as Kit, Vivien, Violet, Lana, Pepper and Jane all decorated the house for her.

Jude woke up to feel slight baby kicks all over as she rubbed her stomach.

"Good morning to both of my sweethearts. You two were just kicking up a storm last night." Jude said as Kit stood in front of her.

"They were happy about today." Kit said as Jude smiled.

"Well now, I got to figure out how to stand up and what to wear."

"No problem baby. The girls brought you a dress."

"I may go barefoot. My feet hurt so bad and they swell when I wear shoes."

"Just try to relax today and don't overdo yourself baby."

"I know sweetheart." Jude said as Kit kissed her lips and laid his hands on her bump.

"Good morning my beautiful darlings, it's daddy." Kit talked to her stomach as the babies responded by brushing up against their hands.

"You're almost here and we can't wait to meet you." He went on until the girls stood in the doorway to get Jude ready.

Jude showered, brushed her teeth and hair.

Vivien blow dried and curled her hair with the help of Violet as Jane and Pepper did a soft makeup look.

Her dress:

It flowed very easily around her stomach as the babies became more active as she breathed through a Braxton Hicks contraction.

They went downstairs to see Mother Claudia and everyone from both of Kit and Jude's work.

They greeted their guests as Jude sat down in her chair as Kit sat down beside of her and Pepper on the other side.

The guests came up as Jude felt more intense kicks as she hoped that Josiah and Kennedy would settle down.

The food and cake was served as Jude met more of the men's wives who came in the bookstore and the gas station as they asked her how her pregnancy was going.

"Have you decided on a natural birth or a home birth?"

"The hospital. They said they have this thing called an epidural, so I am taking it, plus since I'm having twins. I don't want nothing to go wrong.''

"It's wonderful."

Jude was scared about giving birth, but she would not trade her life now as she knew what not feeling loved felt like and she wished she could go back in time and change everything.

As Kit was talking to Roy and Jane, he overheard a couple of people talking.

"You know she used to be a whore?" A prudish woman said.

"Jude?"

"Yes. She slept with any man she could." A man said

"But now, she married Kit and she learned from her mistakes."

"Well, you know that saying "Once a whore, always one."

"Jude is not a whore for goodness sakes, let the hell up with this, will you?"

"And then, what about that man that was her right hand? The Monsignor of the asylum."

"He left her there because of his own ambition. He was never going to get her out of there."

"He was framed, you ninny."

"He was egotistical and a pathological liar."

"He was forced to and Jude was set up.''

"Well, she is far from being what you think she is. She is a member of this community and she teaches your children to read every day, so the next time you all come in here and judge my wife from things that she done in her past, don't even think about it until your point of view changes about her." Kit said as he needed a moment to himself as he went upstairs to Josiah's nursery as it was cold and it felt good to him.

"And oh yeah, you know the saying "once an ugly bitch, always one." One of the women who walked by said as she flipped the woman off who called Jude a whore.

Jude wondered what was said as she walked upstairs to the best of her abilities as she knocked on the nursery door.

"Come in."

"Honey?"

"Sorry baby, I just needed to get away from the party for awhile."

"That's alright sweetheart. I just thought something happened."

"I know who to keep away from our kids in the future. I mean, they act like you did something bad."

"What did they say?''

"They kept talking about your days of being that word you hate and how you and the Monsignor loved each other so much." Kit said as he looked out the window.

Jude felt the babies moving around as she sat down in front of him.

"Honey?"

"I want to know your final decision on where to go from here."

"Kit honey, my final decision is that I love you and nothing or no one will change my mind darling. I am your wife and I am carrying our children. What else do you want me to say?" Jude asked as she breathed in from feeling one the babies kicking her in the side as she held her hand there.

"I'm sorry sweetheart. You just know how his name or the mention of him gets under my skin. I seen how bad you were physically, mentally and emotionally. What was I supposed to? Leave you there? He left you! I know he might have been blackmailed or whatever, but goodness, I just wanted for you to finally have your happily ever after." Kit said as Jude sat on his lap and kissed him.

"And I do have my happily ever after baby. It all started when you brought me and Pepper home and now, I am happier with you and our life now."

"I just wanted you to know what love feels like.''

"And now I do sweetheart. I have known for a long time." Jude said as she smiled.

"Can I have another kiss?"

"Yes you may."

"And after?'' Kit smiled as Jude knew what he was implying.

"We'll just say our babies wore me out. I am tired, but right now, we have guests." Jude said as Kit kissed her temple.

"Well, let's go back to the party." Kit said as he helped Jude up as he rubbed her stomach.

"Okay."

Present time came as Lana and Kit helped her reach for the gifts.

"I thought Josiah would like to have some toy trucks as he gets older."

"Oh definitely. It will be great when he develops his motor skills to walk."

"I got Kennedy some dolls, either she'll be a tomboy or a girly girl."

"Most likely both."

"Have you thought about remedies as in ways to induce labor if they don't come on their due date?"

"No, but whenever they feel like coming, that's fine with me."

Jude loved being pregnant and she thought about the remedies and what she could do, but some of them, she would be afraid to try.

Everyone cleaned up and Jude laid in bed that night after her shower, reading a baby magazine.

Kit sat on the edge of the bed on his side as he laid down.

"Is something wrong sweetheart?"

"No baby, I was just thinking about if we could try the remedies we thought about."

"I mean sex would be nice, but my belly would be in the way and I want to wait till their ready to be born."

"Honey, we could try different positions. Spooning always works the best."

"Okay, we'll try it. I am both in that state of mind where I want to have them and wanting them to stay in."

"Wanna start now?" Kit smiled as Jude's cheeks blushed.

"Sure, but be careful. The babies are playing and I wish they would let me rest."

"Are you sure you want to wait until they come on in the world?"

"Depends on how I feel two months from now."

Kit caressed her arms and started kissing her neck as Jude loved his gentle ways.

"How are our little ones now?" Kit asked as he laid his hands on her stomach, feeling gentle movements.

"They calmed down since they heard daddy's voice." Jude smiled as Kit pulled her closer to him.

"Say that again."

"What?"

"You know?"

"No I don't. What did I say?"

"My member suddenly jumped when you said daddy."

"Kit Walker! You dirty minded perv."

"Yeah well, I'm your your dirty minded perv."

"Well, I guess it would be a new thing for us so tell me how you feel in this moment." Jude kissed his lips.

"Horny."

"Really? Are you pregnant too?"

"Only with food baby."

"Well then, take me daddy." Jude laid down on her back as he foot caressed his thigh.

"Oh I will." Kit said as they started making out as he dipped two of his fingers into her underwear and caressed her bundle of nerves as she moaned.

"Oh darling yes. Right there baby." Jude moaned

They laid in each other's arms and basked in the afterglow of each other as Jude drifted off to sleep as Kit kissed her perfect cherub lips.

"Goodnight my angels."

"Goodnight baby." Jude mumbled in her sleep as Kit drifted off to sleep with her.
