okay a lot of people are asking what happened yesterday, so instead of answering everyone individually, i'll just write it out.

BACKGROUND: my school is located next to a hospital. in the parking garage of the hospital, there was an armed robbery. a woman was selling a man a cellphone (this was a craigslist meet-up or something along those lines) and he approached her and said he had a gun, and demanded anything of great value. she handed him the cellphone, all the cash she had, and a ring she was wearing. he ran off. some people started trying to go after or stop the guy, and that's when he started firing. no one was hurt ( thank god ) except for the shooter who was shot in the leg as a way to disarm him. he is at the hospital in stable condition.

this chapter will have my recounts of the events from beginning to end, and none of this is made up.

so...here's my story:

(13 november 2017) 8:05 am. i arrive at school. the middle and high school have monday and tuesday off for parent conferences. i decided to take these days to volunteer at the elementary school on campus.

9:00 am. i start math tutoring with the fifth graders.

big time skip because a lot of the day is irrelevant

1:20 pm. i start leading my third cooking lesson of the day (also with fifth graders)

1:23 pm. an announcement comes on over the loudspeakers:
"attention, attention. this is a lockdown emergency. there is an active shooter at (insert hospital name here). all students proceed to your designated lockdown area."

1:24 pm. the classroom teacher orders me to stay in the kitchen with the kids as she preps the room for lockdown.

1:28 pm. on our way down to the basement, the first gunshots are heard. i get separated from my group. i run into the woods behind the school and text jax

1:38 pm. second gunshots are heard. i've been texting jax all this time.

1:39 pm. someone gets closer to my hiding spot. jax tells me to run. i crawl for a little bit, then start sprinting.

1:40 pm. i arrive at the announcers booth down by the track. i run inside, bar the door, climb up to the top, and hide.

1:51 pm. the man runs down to the track, and the police follow him. they're in a standoff.

1:55 pm. a bullet hits the wall near my hiding space

1:56 pm. i make a run to the storage closet within the announcers booth.

2:00 pm. i let jax know that i am safe in the closet.

2:21 pm. the man is disarmed, and arrested.

everything that i said in this chapter is 100% true. i don't think that topics like school shooting are something to joke about or use as a way to get attention. the only reason i am posting this chapter is because a lot of people had questions, and i just wanted to find an easy way to tell those with questions what happened.
