"Casey's afternoon"

A/N: I'm sorry I probably took so long to make this chapter. I've been stress because of my mom's car and the fact my sister has an interview needing a ride. But I like to give credit to KTealheartshard for giving me this idea for the beginning of the chapter. I hope this would be n okay chapter for we have more surprises as the weeks go by. I won't say how ;) also, in the video above I selected for this chapter has TWO ships that will appear in the story. We already know Casey and Donnie are one of them, but what's the other ship? Whoever gets it right, well maybe you'll be receiving a PicsArt image made by me (I'm terrible at contests and PicsArt is all I got XD) anyway, please enjoy.

Two weeks had passed for the turtles and their human friend since April had been gone. They had called her every once in a while or text her, mostly Casey or Donnie, and would mostly spend their time training. They had tried to figure out where the Kraang would make their first move on, but nothing has happened. No mutations, no danger whatsoever, nothing. It was odd, but pretty relaxing. Knowing the Shredder and his minions, they're probably only trying to get back Karai. After her mutation, Splinter had been sank into his depression. It really broke him deeply inside. Hopefully he will return to his sons with his bright spirit once again.
Donnie and Casey weren't exactly at each other's throats after their rooftop relaxing moment with Raph. There were a few glances they shot to each other, growling to no one but them, not much which was good for them. Mikey was especially the one watching them more than the other two. Donnie knew what was his brother's intention mostly, but he did not dare to say. He still hasn't told his brothers or anyone about Mikey's little theory. Surely the dreams he's been receiving mean nothing... Right?
Casey, on the other hand, hasn't change a bit. Luckily it was still summer and school didn't start until a few more weeks, which is almost the time when April returns. Normally he spent his time with Raph or his home for he had not so much to do. Irma still bugged him, doubting him in every way of himself. Raph had consider to let Jones spend a little time with his brothers more than him. He wasn't too sure of that.
Leo was very stubborn, just like his red man friend, but also is too good for a small little trouble. Like throwing cans at dumpsters was too much for him. Mikey was fun, almost the best friend just like Raph, but he would get too goofy. Unfortunately he would sometimes ditch Casey to get his pizza, or would be so loud, down citizens might hear him and they would have to hide to fast. Mikey was fun, but wasn't safe, especially when covering his kind of species. As for Donnie, well the last thing he wanted was to hang with his rival for April. Sure the turtle had done lots of fun things, but he still would become a part of his jealously whenever they look at each other. It would make him feel rage and want to sometimes cause more of argument.
But in order to let April still remain his friend, he had no choice, but to suck it up whenever he sees Donnie.
Just like when he sucks it up to his father.
"Casey!"
Casey Jones didn't exactly live the perfect life, nor the worst. Simple, small, but perfect for his family. He has his own small room along with his little sister having her own room, and their dad would remain in the living room. Casey had always offer to share his room with his sister so their dad could have a room to himself, but his father would refuse. He would make this very odd face whenever he would talk about it.
It was strange.
His father wants exactly a perfect dad, but nor are all dads. He had not the very best job, but it was able to keep him and his children able to eat, have electricity including technology (aka phones or tablets), and to have gas for oven. They weren't in a bad position of a home, but they were in a terrible neighborhood.
Casey's father would always believe his son would hang with those people who did drugs and horrible crimes, for his son did neither of those things. He would try to convince his father, but as most fathers, he wouldn't listen. He wasn't much a smiling man, unless his daughter was around.
Casey's sister, Angel, was very much like him for a young age. She's very much tomboyish, into skating on her board, and is in the beginning of her teenager years. She's mostly stubborn than Casey, but has a heart of gold always sticking, looking up to her brother. He is always there for her. Only sad thing was she couldn't really make friends for her difference. Most girls want makeup and Barbies. She wants stake boards and painting supplies for her talent of art. She's may be more tougher, but is number with some guys in school.
Casey barley spends time with her after meeting the turtles. She would still teased him saying April was his girlfriend. Though she gets under his skin as well, he'll never let go of his baby sister.
"Casey! Wake up!"
He jumped, waking up to find himself in his bed. He had no shirt on, only his pants he wore yesterday. He felt more hotter that way. Casey normally wouldn't wake up from the sound of banging from his sister's fist, but she was getting louder than before. It was better than his father waking him up.
He groaned as the knocking got louder. "Alright!" He yelled. "I heard you the first time!"
"Better get your bum up if you wanna finish the dishes like dad said!" She muffled through the door of his bedroom.
"I thought you were gonna do it, you punk."
"Oh no. I'm in charge of vacuuming you goof. Now get up! Or he won't let you go out more often!"
Casey was about to shout again, but felt his head ache a bit. He could hear the sound of his sister's footsteps leaving from his door and sat up. He use to skip the chores and continue looking through his phone. But he did wanna see the guys today. So might as well do so.
He pulled over his shirt and hoodie, combs his hair while putting upon his bandana, and walked out of the bedroom down the stairs to find the kitchen and living room. The vacuum his sister started its engine making such loud noises throughout he house. Their father wasn't home so luckily they won't be hearing him yell to keep the noise down.
Casey felt this was too much to take in one morning. "Do you have to do that now?" He asked.
"If I wanna go play at the park today with Tony, then I suggest I hurry up. Same to you." She said as she continued not the carpet.
Casey grew a grin as he locked his eye on her, letting a brow raise up. "Oooh... Angel and Tony sitting in a tree-"
"Drop it Case." She said making his song stop.
He laughed at her embarrassment of his teasing. He knew for a fact she was crushing on her best friend, and there was no doubt he liked her too. He's come over many times, and whenever Casey would see him, he knew this guy has respect and loyalty on his heart. Tony was perfect for his sister.
As he did so, he started on the dishes that remain in the kitchen. He was lucky not to have so many like before. Only three dirty cups along with two dirty plates and a lot of dirty silverware. As he started on the cleaning, he began to wonder about Donnie. What is it mostly that the turtle hates about the boy? Sure it's his rival, but it has to be something else, right?
A few minutes had past, and Casey was halfway down with his chores. Only two more cups to clean, including three butter knifes. As he was almost finished, his sister walked into making herself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Casey took a glance towards Angel, but noticed her eyes. They were glassy, almost appeared to be crying. "Hey," he said. "You okay?"
She wiped her nose immediately before any sniffs came out, and said, "I'm fine. Just... that Courtney girl can be such a jerk."
Casey had known long about this Courtney girl in Angel's class. She almost became a history event to this family. "What'd she do?"
"Oh nothing. She just likes to make a list of these students saying they're fags and that they're part of the LBGT community. Mostly insulting them."
"Let me guess: she put you on the list."
She nodded looking at him. "All because I won't do anything with my hair."
"Eh, forget about her. She just doesn't see what you really are. Plus I've seen her. She's is ug-lee!"
Angel laughed at his last sentence as that seemed a bit true. But then her smile faded as she looked back down. "Still, I just hate she's being cruel to those who are in this LGBT community. I'm not any of those, but I support them."
"And that's why you're a good person Angie." Casey said smiling. "You support and accept them. This Courtney can go and suck it up. She can't control the world like she thinks, and she especially can't control you."
Angel let her smile return as she looked back towards her brother. Before he knew it, Casey received a hug from her with Angel telling him thank you. He smile doing the same, remembering whenever his mother would give him hugs. He missed them very much.
After that, Angel had left for the park for her job was done. Casey had just finished after two minutes and grabbed his hockey supplies heading for the door. Luckily no one in New York had never questioned about the sticks. He then climbed to the side and jumped onto the following rooftops he ran onto. He would take the sidewalk, but he felt he needed fresh air from a higher distance.
Once he ended his running, he looked into the blue sky for it was still daylight. The wind blowing against his cheek felt refreshing, and the heat radiation from the sun felt wonderful. Just what he needed.
He wished to share this moment with the turtles, but of course, they can't be seen in the daylight. He would do this with his sister, but she has other plans. For his dad, no can do.
Speaking of father's became the ringing from Casey's phone. His father was calling, which normally wasn't a good thing. He sighed, answers the call, pulled the phone up to his ear, and spoke. "Hey dad." He said.
"Casey, I need you to send me my cigarettes." His father said on the other line.
Of course it would be the cigarettes.
"Dad I just left the house. I'm sure you can go a whole day without t-"
"See? That's your problem Casey." His dad interrupted him before anymore came out. "You are trying to find some stupid excuse to hang with those losers you call friends. Just go get them!"
"Dad, I already told you, I don't hang out with those type of guys. I hang with water excuse of fri-"
"You better get me my cigarettes now, or you'll never her the end of it young man!" He shouted after he ended his call.
Casey let out a sigh of defeat and turn the lock screen on. "I always hear it."
He wished to walk away from his father's demand, but if he did, he would hear much worse, and Angel shouldn't be hearing that. Casey was planning to hang with the turtles, perhaps for a little fun time as friends. Seemed he was gonna be a little late.

To be continued...

A/N: I know this chapter wasn't much of Jonatello, but hopefully the next few I'll get better at. I'm just worried about my home's safety (can't explain). Also if you're all wondering where I got Angel from, well I'm not too sure, but I looked up Casey's sister and I only found some 2003 character. I didn't find proof she was his sister but I had to type something for the chapter. I hope you all enjoyed and have a lovely day ^^
