"Better behave"

A/N: I freaking love Jonatello!!! XD cute and hilarious! Remember if you don't ship these two and is filled with hatred towards the ship, or don't like yaoi, you might wanna look away. I don't wanna traumatized anyone XD I couldn't help but just make a fanfic. I barley find any and I just had to. But luckily I like to give credit mostly to SashHamato for inspiring me. Be sure to check out her own Jonatello and other stories for she is an awesome writer. Hopefully I'll catch up with the other works while I do this. Anyway if you're still reading this note and not looking away, please enjoy ^_^

Chemicals was the only thing entering the turtle's snout as he breathed in the air and tried letting off his steam of stress. Top of his head felt as if stress bumps were occurring, and he felt so exhausted from the lack of sleep. Donatello was known as a genius when it comes to science. His mind is really amazing when it's shown to the right person. He could solve anything in a flash of an eye. His only solution of not succeeding, was his passion love for his human friend, April O'Neil.
Ever since him and his brothers entered into the open world above them and saved her from the Kraang, his heart felt she was who he always wanted. Beautiful, kind, and very smart. What makes her more unique is her abilities and DNA of what the Kraang wanted for she was part mutant and human. Luckily no robots had intended to keep her forever thanks him and his brothers. The only thing now that Donnie is trying to keep April away from was none other than the goof vigilante human, Casey Jones.
Since he had discovered his brothers and master in the sewers, he was a non-stop rival to Donnie for April's attention. Normally this wouldn't be too much of a problem to the mutant turtle: he had a bigger mind than most scientists, and a real big heart when it comes to love. But studying how Casey is towards April, he wasn't ready to lose her, nor tell her the truth. This wasn't easy for him. He never thought it would be difficult to keep him away from the redhead female. It was more difficult to get along whenever April was in the same room with them.
Hopefully one day, perhaps he will see if he's the one. The winner of April's heart.
Right now, even though April was normally in the mind of Donnie, what got him mostly going was this retro-mutagen he had to make. This was not easy as it looked. Every chemical he has put in a tube or beaker was aching him. He had intended to lose sleep at night because of this. But he didn't wanna give up. He wanted to help those who want their humanity back, especially April's mutant dad, who became a bat. Even if he doesn't win April's heart with this, at least it would be worth to have Kirby O'Neil back.
He grabbed a small little tube as let some chemical entered in, then slowly put it over a small piece of glass letting a drop hit it. As he put it near the telescope, he peeked through the hole, and studied how the chemical was advancing. "Come on now." He told the chemicals as they moved oddly. "Please work."
He waited, and waited until something happened to the liquid. But it failed, once again.
Donnie let out a sigh of defeat, and laid back into his chair. "This is impossible!" He told himself. "I'll never the freaking chemicals right. I don't even think there is such a thing."
He was considering to enter the living room where his brothers sat, but he didn't feel the need to watch Super Robo Mega Force Five Team Five. Which also include Mikey screaming or cheering towards the animated heroes. This retro-mutagen nonsense has really broken down the mutant turtle. Master Splinter had once said he probably needs something to let his spirits help him discover this ooze. Perhaps something is missing to Donnie, that he needs. Not the mutagen, him.
But what was it?
Even though he felt his defeat grow into his self-esteem, nothing would put a smile on his unlike the redhead who entered the lab. "Hey Donnie." She said with a smile to see her mutant friend.
Immediately, Donnie sat up with his lips growing wide revealing his gap tooth. "April!" He chirped as he saw her in sight of the lab. Then a sight of a boy, black hair with a bigger gap in his teeth, revealed behind the girl. This caused Donnie's eyes become suspicion, but still was smiling. "And Casey..."
Casey only grew a grin as he saw the turtle grow suspicion. He did not say a word, only chuckled quietly to himself.
Not noticing the strange reaction Donnie had, April walk towards the desk where he sat behind, and asked, "How's it going with the retro-mutagen?"
"Not so good." Donnie sighed as he look into his lap. "It's so impossible. I don't even know if I can make it." He grew silent as he felt to have nothing else left to say towards the girl. "I don't know if I can bring back your dad April."
April's face of greet turn into the form of a sad child. She knows how hard Donnie has tried to recreate this mutagen. It probably was impossible. But she can't imagine herself living without her father. Already did she fear him, also miss him. Though her stubbornness gets the best of her, she was not gonna give up on her father.
By this face, this broke two hearts. But this also gave Casey a brilliant way to be right about something. He walked next to April and said with a grin, "I told you we should have went to some scientist and not some mutant who can't fix this problem."
Donnie turned his head towards Casey as he grin towards him, feeling his own victory without anyone saying a word. He was finding himself to be growling to him, annoyed with that look upon his gap teeth.
Before the turtle could shout in his tone raising high, luckily April spoke. "I'm glad we didn't." She said letting her smile return. "Donnie is way more ahead than most scientists, and I believe in him."
She then placed a hand onto the mutant's shoulder giving it a small shake. Donnie let his returned as that beautiful face came back. No one had even realize Casey was still there.
Finally, he let out a small sigh and said, "Okay. That's cool. Just saying."
April turn her head towards the hockey player and placed her hand to pat his head. "I'll be right back. I gotta use ya'll's toilet."
"You know where it is right?" Donnie asked.
"Yeah, I remember. Thanks Don."
As the girl had left the room, Donnie only watched her letting his smile grow more wider. As she was finally out of sight, Donnie stood up from his chair with the smile of victory, and said, "You hear that Jones? More ahead! Oh yeah!"
Casey then rolled his eyes as he said, "Yeah, so ahead of beating me to April. I'm watching you, stick master!"
Donnie's smile left with that name of an insult, and said, "Again with this stick master nonsense. You know, you gotta start thinking of better comebacks if you wanna beat me, pock head!"
"Oh, like your's can get any better, baby gap." He then raised a brow along with a smirk and said, "Ladies love the wider ones."
"Yeah, of a caveman!"
Casey's smirk disappeared, being replaced with a frown, growling towards the mutant turtle. "Oh yeah? Well at least I can solve some of these freaking problems. You can't even figure out how to make retro-mutagen!"
"Hey, retro-mutagen is harder than it looks! You give it a try if you think you know so much better!"
"Uh, I don't do things, then make promises, and not even keep them. April may believe in you, but I know for a fact you won't even try to help her!"
"N-Not try?!" Donnie stuttered as his anger grew inside. "I've been trying non-stop! I've always been there for her! Where were you when she was in danger of Foot-bots, o-or the Kraang when she taken because they want her DNA?! I've known her longer than you, so don't you try to tell me I haven't always been there for her."
"Yeah, goes to show how you can't solve something as it's important to her!"
Normally it would be Raphael who had the temper and courage to jump upon someone, and smack them hard. Donnie's blood boiled inside him as he jumped onto Casey getting into the physical fight. It was more of a wrestle.
"Get off me, you wimp!" Casey demanded as he tried to push the mutant turtle off. He consider shining the turtle with his electrical glove, but he didn't have that on him. So instead, he let his arm out and pulled a fist towards Donnie's cheek.
Donnie fell backwards as the pain from the punch marked his cheek. Then he was jumped onto making his chin meet the floor. Casey wrapped his arm around the green neck pulling him back a bit, as the other arm was holding his forehead. "Hey that's uncalled for!" Donnie shouted.
"Not when you're the one winning!"
"Guys!"
The two males stopped their intend wrestling and jumped when the familiar voice of their female friend was upon them. They looked up, and saw the frustrated look from April. Gulping both their throats, this was not good. Casey pushed Donnie more onto the floor and stood up as quickly as he could before Donnie could. The most the turtle could do was be on his knees and look up towards his crush with an awkward smile.
"We were just-"
"I don't want to hear it!" She yelled towards the other human stopping his excuse. Then she took in a deep breath and let it out calmly. This time as she spoke, she was a little less sounding to be upset, but very serious. "Look guys, this is getting ridiculous. We're pals, you guys shouldn't be fighting like this so much. So when I get back, I expect to see you two getting along."
Donnie finally stood on his feet being able to see her more. "Where are you going?" He asked.
"My aunt's mother, which is basically my grandmother, is having a wedding and it's far from New York. I have to come with her as a bridesmaid."
Casey smirked towards the girl as she mention bridesmaid. "I like to see you in a dress like that." He spoke raising his brow.
April shook her head and continued. "I'll be gone for over a month, so when I feet back, I expect you two no longer getting at each other's throats. Otherwise if Leo, Raph, or Mikey tell me, you both aren't gonna be so happy when I'm back."
Donnie froze when she spoke that last sentence. "Oh you're not gonna give us the stare are you?"
Casey looked puzzled to the turtle. "The stare?"
"Yeah, she has this stare that is so hard to look past. It's very scary when she does it."
"And I can do much worse."
Casey laughed. "Like I'm gonna get scared from April's unpredictable eyes." But as he looked towards the red head, he saw her give him an in happily stare. No smile or any sort, only angry eyes. He chuckled at this, but then he found himself getting a little uncomfortable. Then he gave up. "Okay okay!" He closed his eyes so he didn't have to look anymore. "Please stop that!"
April let her eyes down and smiled towards them. "Now you both better behave while I'm gone. I'm leaving tomorrow morning."
As she walked back into the living room along with the other turtles, Donnie laughed at the fear in Casey's eyes when that stare kept visualizing in him. "That stare is scary." He shivered.
Donnie said nothing and left the lab along with the hockey player behind him. For the rest of the day, Donnie did his best not to cause another fight.
Nor was it easy for him. Now it won't be especially when his princess is gone.

To be continued...
