"Are dreams a sign?"

Returning to the lair wasn't much of a blast for Donatello for many reasons. His youngest brother kept on talking about his little theory on his brother, the moment they got home Raph and Leo ate pizza without them, and he slipped on the floor for tripping over Ice Cream Kitty. Mikey hugged the cat licking her delicious fur, and babied her, not giving a look of concern for his brother. Leo and Raph laughed at their brother's embarrassment, but apologize for giving such a laugh. Donnie said nothing and went straight for his lab wanting some alone time.
He continued to try again to create retro-mutagen, though he should be resting after such a long time of working on something.
He sighed to himself as he looked back onto his argument with Casey trying to shake away Mikey's theory. "Mikey is just playing with me." He said to himself looking into his reflection on the beaker. "I mean there is just no possibility for me to like someone so... so..... Ugh, I can't even say it. But this isn't helping with creating retro-mutagen. Gotta focus!"
So he did so. He grabbed his beaker filled with the liquid and pour a small amount onto a pan that laid in front of him.
Suddenly, a strange gurgling sound appeared. He thought for a second it could be his stomach, perhaps hungry for that pizza Leo and Raph ate. He felt nothing though. But then he found the sound as he turned his head spotting the frozen blob that remain against the wall.
Donnie's heart only break at the horrible sight of Timothy frozen. Poor guy was all he could say every time he thought of him. Timothy wasn't exactly too bad. Sure he annoyed and ruined the turtles' missions and cursed himself by letting the dangerous chemical ruin his humanity, but he was the first human, minus the little girl Leo had tea with, who admire the turtles and supported them. Even though they didn't appreciate the attention they were getting from this one human, he could have at least let himself not get out of control. Donnie only kept thinking of the day he was mutated, and when he went after April and Casey. Freezing him was the hardest thing for him to do, but least it stopped him.
He walked to the frozen canister that held the mutant blob and press the pal of his hand against the glass, feeling the freezing touch of terrible cold ice. He sighed, remembering the promise he made, and the talk he put this boy through. "Hopefully we'll get you back Timothy." He said. "It was hard letting her mother know you're gone probably forever."
Luckily he didn't have to show himself to Timothy's mother. It was the day after Timothy was mutated and his mother returned from a trip from a friend greeting the empty home with a bag of cupcakes for her baby. She couldn't find him anywhere and called the police, which caught Donnie's attention. The police found no record of her missing son, or even a clue, and seeing her cry in front of the police was terrible. So to let her know he was safe, Donnie wrote, pretending to be the Pulverizer, and told her not to worry and he'll be gone for a while. Hopefully his promise will fulfill bringing the human back.
Hopefully...

A few minutes later...

Retro-mutagen was completely hard. Still was it a mystery to create it. It got to the point of getting the turtle to drift into sleep in his lab. He eventually woke up seeing it was still the same. But there was one thing missing.
The chemicals, equipment, and mutagen canister were gone.
This cause the turtle to get into his panic mode. "W-What? Where are they?! What happened?!" He began to slide the other stuff off of the table to search more for the equipment, but found nothing.
But then the thought of the orange clad turtle came to mind. "Mikey!"
By then, someone had entered into the lab to greet the genius. Though it wasn't his brother, it was that hockey jock that turned the turtle to grow his annoyed feeling back.
"Hey Donnie." Casey said letting his smirk return to greet.
"What do you want Casey?" He asked, no feeling in time to return.
The human then put his hand around his neck rubbing his neck. "Well," he said. "I wanna apologize for earlier, for getting us busted and losing the Kraang."
"It's fine. I've gotten use to you acting as if you're the big shot." He didn't exactly glance too much towards the human, but when he did, he was a bit surprise when he saw Casey was much closer to him. Close to his desk. Which was odd. How did he move so fast?
"I had a feeling." He said. Then he turned to the left of the desk and was soon to be standing in front of Donnie. "And I wanna make it up to you D."
He sat their puzzled as the human kept looking at him. He waited for an answer, but nothing came up. But as he looked back up, he was almost fallen backwards from his chair as Casey was leaning forward, puckering his lips closer to him. He screamed and jumped out of his chair looking at the human oddly as Casey gave a face confused. "What are you doing?!" He said.
"Making it up to you." Said the human as he walked away from the desk towards the turtle. "Gotta give you some Jones sugar."
"Whoa whoa whoa!" He raised his hands to block the human's entrance. "Dude, this is a joke isn't it? By Mikey?"
"No way man. You're just so cute and dorky, and I like that. Besides, Mikey is making our wedding after all."
"What?!"
But as he turned around to try and find an escape, Mikey was already in front, blocking his path. He had a giant grin upon his freckled cheeks looking to his brother. He then held up from his a black tux with a rainbow rose attach to it. Donnie's heart was filled with fear as his brother looked almost horrifying.
"Told you my theory was true!" Said Mikey as he handed it to Donnie and took a step back and hugged the mutant food of a kitty.
As Donnie held the tux and tried turning to run, two hands grabbed his muscle arms tightly, and pulled him closer to the human boy as he puckered his lips trying to place a kiss upon the turtle.
Donnie screamed and struggled to be free, but it was no use. He felt closing his eyes and pulling back could work, but nothing worked. He was trap, by the arms of Casey Jones!
That was.... until he opened his eyes to find himself sitting on the desk again. He looked down towards it seeing he had his equipment for the retro-mutagen still in front. He searched he entire lab, and everything looked the same. No Mikey holding a tux, no Casey trying to give some 'Jones sugar' (Lmao XD), and no missing use of work. Not even Ice Cream Kitty.
He gave a sigh of relief when he discovered what the situation was.
It was a dream. It wasn't real.
"Thanks the 99 cheese pizza it wasn't real." He sigh as he leaned back in his chair closing his eyes.
Though that was a dream to him, it felt like something else. It felt actually real. Like as if Casey really was trying to love him, and Mikey was trying to help. This theory Mikey had made had really frighten the turtle.
Or was it fear? What if it's..... real, his feelings?
"Hey Donnie." The voice of his brother Raph jumped the purple clad turtle as he found him right by the doors of the lab peeking his head out. Thank goodness it was a normal walk in for the turtle to wake up to. "You alright? We heard screaming in here."
"Yeah... Yeah I'm fine." He rubbed his forehead as he looked towards the red mask turtle. "Just had a dream."
"Well, someone wants to talk to you."
With that, Raphael moved into the lab leaving the opening of the doors free. Then came Donnie's fear when Casey walked into the lab with his hands in his hoodie's pockets. The human had a look of guilt, though he didn't look directly towards Donnie.
Him and Raph walked closer to the desk, still the human looked down with guilt, and the strong turtle only stayed silent. Donnie was a bit puzzled at this situation.
This wasn't gonna be like his dream.... right?
"Casey," Raph spoke looking towards the black hair boy. "Is there something you wanna say?"
Casey took a look towards Raph causing the turtle to nod his head, and then looked at Donnie, seeing him a bit more confuse. He looked back down and sigh, growing annoyed to be doing this. "I..." He spoke. "I... I just wanna... apologize..."
"For?" Raph waited for more of the human.
"For.... For making our mission.... a big fail..." Then he mumbled under his breath, "Even though it wasn't only me."
Raph gave the human a punch in the shoulder to keep him silent. The two waited for Donnie to respond to Casey's so called, 'kind' apology. He had no words.
He was still a little worried the human might try and kiss him like in his dream. Hopefully with Raph in her, it won't happen. "Um.... It's fine Jones." He spoke finally. "It wasn't only you though. I'm sorry as well... I guess."
The human finally grew the most sweetest smile Donnie could ever see come upon him. Normally he would let upon a smirk of trying to be cute, or a smile of victory as if he won. This time, it wasn't like that. It was a smile of a pure soul, kinda. And what was stranger, Donnie kinda found that.... adorable.
"Glad to hear that D." Said Casey as he sat on the desk. "And I wanna make it up to you."
Donnie's guard grew up again. He leaned up and pulled his left arm behind him and grabbed tightly onto his Bo-staff. "And what is that exactly?" He asked watching the human in cause for any detectible movement.
Luckily nothing happened. "Me and Raph usually go out towards the highest buildings and drink some soda watching stars. Not really much of Casey Jones's thing, but not too bad."
Donnie's face grew a bit more confused as he looked at Raph. "And Raph likes doing this?"
"I know. Unbelievable." Raph rolled his eyes trying not to laugh.
"Wanna come?"
Normally Donnie wouldn't go exactly where these two go. Knowing them, they probably get into more trouble than when they're around his brothers. But this retro-mutagen and non-stop fighting has troubled the turtle. Perhaps some relaxing is in order for him.
"Well..... Alright then."
Casey let his smile grow wider as he turned away and said, "Be ready in a few."
As he left the lab, Donnie looked back at Raph a bit confuse. "So..."
"Don't worry, I talked to him." Raph said. "Not willingly to see April's stare when she hears about what you two did."
"But, she's not giving it to you."
"Either way, not letting that happen yet. It hasn't been a few weeks and already you two screwed up. But next time we won't go easy on you two." With nothing else to say, Raph left the lab to entered into his living room.
Donnie looked down towards the chemicals of his lab, and began to feel himself sweat from that dream image coming back. Normally dreams are nothing but a series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person's mind during rest.
But why would he dream this? Why would Mikey's theory come to mind of him?
What does it mean mostly?
But perhaps it's nothing.
So with that, Donnie prepared for a evening with his brother and rival, for relaxing.

To be continued...
