{Reader-Chan [Y/N]'s POV}

Breathe in, breathe out... I knocked on the big black door. I heard voice in my head.

"[Y/N] come in."

I pressed the door open standing in front of Slenderman, feeling as a little bug in compare to him.

"G-good morning. I came because I have-"

"You have received your powers. Don't worry. I know."

Jeez is there something he doesn't know? I shouldn't ask...

"So from what we know you can boil blood, teleport, have the ability of telepathy and... Static."

There is something about how he said static that made me feel unsure about being there.

"You know Matt... This ability of static is ability that always had only members of my family. Slendrina and my brothers. I'm very surprised that a human got it... Slendrina thinks that you will be able to mimic abilities... Interesting..."

I left. Jesus he is cold like yellow diamond! I get it. He's the boss! But it wouldn't kill him to have some empathy. I went downstairs to see Slendrina to ask when will be the party. Like yeah, cool, Sally told me that there will be party. But no closer info.

When I came into the nursery Toby was sitting there in front of Slendrina, they both noticed me and stopped talking. Well this is uncomfortable...

"Oh Matt. What do you need?" Asked Slendrina.

"When will be the party? I just know that your preparing a party. But nothing else."

"Oh. It will be day after tomorrow. Starting in 6pm."

"Thanks..." I looked at them bit suspiciously. And in that moment Slendrina turned to Toby and said in a bit sadistic tone.

"Toby? You know how your avoiding me in the medical care side of things?"

Toby's eyes behind goggles went wide, from Slendrina's back risen tentacles and grabbed Toby.

"Matt would you mind? I need assistance. Even though Toby is healing super fast it doesn't prevent getting infection and other things..."

"Okay."

"N-No! S-Slend-drina!"

Toby sounded desperately embarrassed. I came closer. Slendrina's testicles took of Toby's hoodie and black turtleneck. I turned around for a moment blushing madly.

Toby was also looking away. I guess he doesn't like being examined by a "doctor". For a moment his eyes looked like he even isn't there. He looked kinda hurt...

Slendrina than took a little needle and carefully slide it under my hand, I could feel how the needle pierced Toby's skin. And than... The unimaginable happened.

[Toby's POV]

Okay. I came to Slendrina and told her about this... Strange... Aura? That [Y/N] have. I told her that Jeff felt pain and that I... Well I felt something but it wasn't pain. I'm sure... After a few little tests that I really doesn't feel a thing Slendrina looked at me and started discussing it with me. But then both of us heard steps and there she was. Matt.

"Oh Matt. What do you need?" Asked Slendrina.

"When will be the party? I just know that your preparing a party. But nothing else."

"Oh. It will be tomorrow. Starting in 6pm."

"Thanks..." Matt looked at us as if we were planing to kill her. And in that moment Slendrina turned to me and said in a bit sadistic tone.

I looked at her with wide eyes, oh god please no! Not in front of Matt! In the moment I wanted to get up, Slendrina caught me by her tentacles. Why do I always feel like a main character in hentai when she does this...?

I gave Matt a helpless glance and she was... Blushing? I looked away, feeling sad and embarrassed. I feel like laboratory rat...

"Matt I need to test something. Would you be that kind and put your hand... At Toby's shoulder for example?"

"Weird? But okay?"

When her hand touched my shoulder I could feel that my chest felt... Cold? I don't like that... But under her hand I felt... Warm... That's nice...

Slendrina than took a little needle and carefully slide it under [Y/N]'s hand...

"Ouch! W-What was t-t-that for-r?!"

Jeez! Is this pain? I don't like it but... Maybe I do? Pain is hilarious.

Wait what did I just said?

Oh yeah I don't like it. I just had a little talk with her and next thing that happens is sitting half naked and having needle in my shoulder...

"WHAT?!"

Matt almost screamed in surprise.

"Just as I thought. Matt. You have unique ability. You have some kind of aura or something like a shield around you. It reacts on it's own protecting you. It hurts Jeff. But for example it makes Toby feel physical things- as is touch, warmth, pain and more- for some reason. I guess that to people you are comfortable around it won't react so they wouldn't even know."

{Reader-Chan [Y/N]'s POV}

WAAAAAAAAAAT?! SO I CAN MAKE TOBY FEEL?! Wow... This... This is actually cool... So it's kinda like Ether in Thor... It protects me. Cool.

Slendrina took the needle away while she was talking so now Toby's rubbing his shoulder but he seems like he doesn't feel it again. He started to put on his turtleneck and hoodie so I just stood there.

"Okay? So... I have a shield..."

When Toby was done he looked a bit angry and hurt to me so I followed him but than he went into his room and closed the door in my face right when I wanted to ask him if he wants to talk about it.

I went to my room a got a paper and a pen. I wrote:

Hey... Do you want to talk about it? Or just silent company...?

I slide it under his door and after a little while it slide back to me:

Okay...

The door unlocked and as I was sitting with my back on them I fell backwards to Toby's legs. I giggled a bit and stood up, I went in. I never actually was there.

It was dark. A pile of dirty clothes was in the corner of the room. Few bowls on the table. Bed on the same place as my. He just went to his bed and sat down. I closed the door and went to sit next to him.

"So... Do you want to talk about it?"

"N-No..."

I noticed a stuffed animal on his bed. I didn't even have to grab it to see a little name tag with name on it: Lyra. It was his dead sisters... He can't let go... Neither could I on his place...

I really wanted to hug him... He was always the one to hug me and that was the cheerful Toby... Whenever anyone wanted me to hug them or just touch them he always asked me if I'm okay with it. I usually felt uncomfortable having to do it... I turned to him. Breathe in, breathe out...

I hugged Toby... I just had to. It felt as if I'm losing him every second that he's not in my embrace. I felt him gasp a little. After an awkward moment he wrapped his hands around me. We ended up laying on his bed in a tight hug. He had his head on my chest and I had one of my hands in his hair playing with them.

His hair was just so fluffy. He than pulled of his goggles. And eventually he said a bit muffled:

"I never k-knew how hot it can get if I br-breathe i-in my mou-th guard..."

"Huh?"

"M-Matt?"

"Yes?"

"W-Would-ld you s-still l-like me if I was u-ugly?"

I blushed. HE KNOWS! He knows that I like him!

"Toby. I like your personality, the way you act around me, how kind you are too me. Face or name doesn't matter. What matters is your opinion and thoughts. I wouldn't care if you'd be ugly. You would still be my hero."

I blushed even harder. It just wasn't enough having his head on my... How BEN would say: Amazing pillows. I almost practically confessed...

"I-I am y-you-r h-hero?"

"If you wouldn't showed up I'd be arrested by police, I would probably just kill myself. But you saved me from that."

"A-Alri-ght..."

Toby pulled of his mouth guard. Revealing the part of his face that I haven't seen yet. He had a hole in his cheek. And of course that little scar on his lower lip... Is that it? Is this why he thinks he's ugly?

"I-I'm u-ugly I-I know..."

I hugged him tighter.

"No... Your perfect... And don't let anyone make you think otherwise. You are beautiful..."

Toby looked at me with tears in his eyes. He hugged me tighter. We were laying like that so long that we fell asleep until the lunch.

[Toby's POV]

She... She thinks I'm... beautiful? I was so happy I almost cried.

I hugged her tighter because it felt as if she will disappear if I let her go. I could feel how her chest is moving when she breathes. I could hear her heartbeat. Her heart was rushing when she said that I was her hero... It feels nice...

As we were laying there her heartbeat was like a lullaby to me. I fell asleep. For the first time in years that I slept peacefully without nightmares...
