Sensitivity
A knife.
A slice to the skin.
From the nape of my neck
To the heels of my feet.
The skin was peeled.
Rolled away like a wetsuit.
Naked and raw,
Every touch,
Even the smallest waft of air,
Is salt to a wound.
Is fire.
I flinch.
I cower.
Comfort is a distant fantasy.
