Chapter 12
Third Person POV
"Wil, are we there yet?" Sapnap whines, Wilbur walks ahead to check where they are. "We're close, I can see the Pride Kingdom, it'll take at least 15 minutes to get there."
The four boys had been traveling for hours with a few breaks along the way and it seems that they have finally arrived at their destination.
"Everyone got enough rest? If so then we should keep going." Wilbur asks, "Calm down Wil, just take a quick break, no need to be so tense." George says. Wilbur thought about it and decided to sit down with the rest of the group.
"By the way, we need to go to the castle first to introduce you to Eret. Then if I'm not mistaken, Eret's guard will take us to our new place here." Wilbur informs, and everyone just nods. The group spends another 5 minutes just talking when they decided to get a move on.
They all climbed onto their saddles and began to canter toward the Kingdom's gates. Wilbur pulled his hood up and looked back, "Put your hood on, we don't want anyone to recognize us." Everyone obliged and pulled their hoods on.
They finally stepped foot into the Kingdom of pride, it was beautiful as always, so many beautiful and bright colors hung around. The group made their way through the city and towards the castle.
Once they made it to the castle gates, they were stopped by two guards.
"Halt! What is the purpose of your business?" Wilbur took out a piece of paper from underneath his hood and gave it to the guard, after the guard read it, he gave the paper back to Wilbur and nodded. "You may proceed."
Wilbur looked back at the others, "Let's go." He said loud enough for only them to hear, the gates opened and they trotted in. As they made their way to the huge castle, Dream, Sapnap, and George's eyes all lit up in amazement. The castle was absolutely beautiful, it had two color-changing beacons right at the entrance of the castle, a fountain, many pride flags, there were rainbow beacons everywhere, and the rainbow and stone brick walls of the castle were definitely not something to complain about. "This is beautiful," George whispers to nobody in particular.
Their horses finally made it to a stop and they climbed off their saddles so their horses can be taken to the Royal Stables. Wilbur turned to the rest as they were admiring the palace, "Keep your hood up, we don't want anyone to know who we are. You can take it off when I do so."
The three boys just nod and they were allowed inside, as they were walking through the halls, Wilbur couldn't help but draw his attention to a specific painting on the wall. The painting was of Eret, but with another person by their side. The other person wore a black suit with a red tie, his skin was also half-white and half-black, he had green and red eyes, and a golden crown laid on his half-black-half-white hair.
"That's odd." Wilbur mumbles, stopping in his tracks, "What is?" Dream asks, "That, I've never seen that person before." Wilbur points towards the painting he was looking at. "Is he a friend of Eret's?" George asks, "I don't exactly know." Wilbur shrugs.
As they made it to the throne room where the servants said Eret would be, the guards stationed outside opened the door to let them in. As they stepped inside the room, they were met with Eret wearing their gorgeous long red dress (from the red banquet) and the person Eret was with in that painting they were looking at earlier. Eret's pure white wings flapped and their white eyes and halo shined brighter as they talked with the person.
Eret looked towards their direction and beamed, "Wilbur! I'm so glad you're here!" The angel hybrid walked over to Wilbur and hugged him, "Missed you too Eret." Wilbur smiled, "I'm so happy you made that decision, you're so brave. I can't wait to spend some time with you here." Eret rants, Wilbur just smiled. He truly missed Eret.
"Also uh, who's this?" Wilbur asks, nudging his head towards the person who Eret was talking with earlier. "Oh right, I forgot to tell you." Eret walked back to the person and stood by his side. "This is Ranboo, I adopted him a year ago."
"Hi." Ranboo mumbles, Eret smiles nervously and rubs Ranboo's side. "Sorry, he's a bit shy."
"That's okay, my name's Wilbur." Wilbur placed his hand out for Ranboo to shake, Ranboo hesitantly shakes his hand.
"Anyways uh, I should introduce you to my friends." Wilbur stepped back and cleared his throat to gain the attention of the Dream Team who were busy wandering off to look at the fancy stuff Eret had in their castle. "This is Dream, this is Sapnap, and this is George," Wilbur says, pointing to each one of the boys as he introduced them.
Eret shakes all of their hands, "Well, it's great to meet you three. Now I'm sure you guys are tired, why don't we have a little chat and you all stay for lunch? How does that sound?"
"Sure, that sounds nice, and we have a lot of catching up to do." Wilbur agrees, "Great, right this way." Eret leads them toward a little living room and they all sit down. "Ranboo, sorry but could you go back to your room? Me and Wil here need to have a little chat." Eret asks, Ranboo just nods before teleporting away to his room leaving enderman particles floating around.
"Wait what? How did he teleport? I thought you adopted him?" Sapnap asks, clearly very confused. "Well, not only royals are born hybrid. Other people can also be born a hybrid, royal or not." Eret replies, sipping their cup of tea. "And also, Ranboo is an enderman hybrid. That's why he wears a mask and glasses, please try to not upset him, it hurts him if he cries and it's the least you can do. I've been helping him get used to people but he's not quite there yet."
Everyone nods and they fall into a conversation.
~Timeskip~
Everyone had just finished eating lunch and they were getting ready to leave, "Thanks for helping us get settled here Eret." Wilbur smiles, scratching the back of his neck. "Anytime! I'm always happy to help my bestie." Eret beams.
"Punz here will take you to your new home, it's right next to theirs." Eret says pointing towards the Dream team who were doing who knows what with a broom they found somewhere.
"And don't worry, this is my most trusted guard. He won't tell on you, I made sure of that." Eret smiled innocently, a drop of sweat fell from Wilbur's forehead as he smiles trying to not seem afraid. "Uh, thanks?"
"I hope to see you in the village some time." Eret smiles. Wilbur smiles back and lets the guard guide him outside, the other boys following closely behind. Once they were outside, they were met with their horses. "Blazey!" Sapnap screams as he hugs his horse, Dream smiles and rolls his eyes as he climbs on his horse Spirit. "Sapnap, we have to get going."
"Can't I have this moment with Blaze?" Sapnap pouts, Blaze let out a neigh. "See? Even Blaze agrees!"
I mentally face-palm myself, "I swear those two share a brain cell."
"Just get on Blaze Sapnap, the sooner we get to our house the sooner me and Willow get to sleep." George pats Willow's mane. "Alright alright." Sapnap groans, he gets on Blaze and they all exit the castle grounds and towards the village, whilst on their way to their new homes, Wilbur couldn't help but think.
What could be going on in the Antarctic Empire right now?
