Wilbur's POV 

The sun shines brightly on my face as my eyes flutter open, I slowly sat up and stretched my wings. Today was mine and Techno's 17th birthday which I was happy about, the day after tomorrow was the day that I dreaded, my coronation. 

My father didn't even think to wait till I was a fully grown adult to crown me as King, he just adored Techno so much to not even think of me one bit. I for sure know that I'm way too young to be king, I'm just reaching my late teenage years and here I am about to rule a kingdom. My mother agrees with me and tried many times to convince my father to crown me when I'm at least 18 but he stuck with his words.

I sigh and took my glasses from my bedside table and got up from my bed before heading to shower, after quickly showering, I put my royal attire on and dried my hair. As I was combing my slightly long brown curls, I heard a knock on my door. "Your highness, the King and Queen wishes to meet you and your brother in the throne room." 

"I'll be over in a minute, thank you Autumn." Autumn was my favorite maid, she was so kind and caring, and she's the person I come to when I'm stressed. I walked to the middle of the dressing room where my crown was placed, it was pure gold and had Sapphires placed around it. I put it on my head and adjusted it so it was perfectly centered. Then I grabbed my cape from where it hung on the mannequin and placed it on my shoulders, the cape was a bright blue which was our kingdom's main color.

I fix my wings and walked out of my dressing room, I took one last look at myself, I smiled at the white streak in my hair proving I was a hybrid and stretched out my wings, before stepping out of my room. As I closed the door, I heard the door next to me open, I look up to see my brother Techno. 

He had long bright pink hair tied into a ponytail, he was wearing his cape which was red, and crown which had red Rubies instead of Sapphires, and of course he was wearing his boar mask that he always wore. "Good morning Techno." I greeted, bowing slightly, "Good morning Wil." He greets back.

Me and Techno make our way down the hall to the throne room, as we neared the door leading to the throne room, the guards stationed outside immediately opened the door for us. I smiled and nodded my head towards the guards as a thank you as I walked in. 

Third Person POV

Wibur look up to see his father and mother sitting on their thrones, Philza was smiling to who he's sure was Techno as they stopped at the foot of the thrones. "Good morning boys, I would first like to say happy birthday to both of you." Philza started, "And I would like to congratulate Wilbur as he is about to become king." 

Wilbur was slightly shocked, he was never congratulated by his father. "Now, since it's your 17th birthday, I have a gift for you Techno." Philza motioned for Techno to come up to him, Techno walked in front of his father and bowed. Philza grabbed a Netherite Axe from his side and held it in his hands, "This was my battle axe when I first fought in the war. I thought that since you were going to be captain of the Royal Knights soon, you should have it." Philza handed Techno the axe as he stared at it in awe. "Happy birthday Tech, I hope you like our gift." Kristin spoke up, "T-This is amazing, thank you mom, dad." 

Philza smiled as Techno stepped back, Kristin smiled warmly and turned to Wilbur. "Come here Wil." She motioned for Wilbur to come over, Wilbur did as told and bowed. Kristin reached for something on her side, in her hands was a guitar. "I know you love music and everything that goes with it, hopefully you still remember how to play the guitar, I look forward to hearing you play in the garden. It took a lot of convincing to get your father to agree." Kristin whispered the last sentence and handed him the guitar. "Happy birthday Wil." 

Wilbur stared at the guitar, he hasn't played the guitar since he was 12. But he definitely remembers how to play it. "Thank you so much, mother, father." Wilbur bowed again and stepped back. Philza just hummed while Kristin smiled, "Alright boys, I hope you like your gifts. Since it's your birthday, we will host a grand party tonight and the entire kingdom is invited." Philza started, "Now for today's agenda. You both get ready for your classes, Techno, Sam is waiting for you in the training room. Wilbur, Mr.Halo is waiting for you in the library to go over everything you learned." 

Wilbur quietly sighed, oh how he absolutely hated royal training. He loved his teacher Mr.Halo, but sometimes it gets really boring and there were a bunch of things to remember. The part he hates the most was when he was supervised by his father, or even worse, taught by his father.

"Alright now, we're running a bit behind schedule so you may leave now." Philza sent them off as he looked at the clock in the room. Wilbur and Techno both nodded as they walked out of the room, Wilbur smiled as he grazed his fingers through the strings of the guitar. "I never thought mom would actually convince dad to get you a guitar." Techno chuckled as they reached the hallway leading to their rooms.

"I'm surprised too, I never thought I'd be playing the guitar again." Wilbur laughed, Techno smiled slightly, Wilbur smiled back, "Same, can't believe you got the axe of your dreams." 

Techno rolled his eyes playfully, "Yeah, dad was actually willing to give up his legendary axe to me." 

There was a pause as they both reached the front of their rooms, "I look forward to hearing you play." Was all Techno said before entering his room and closing the door behind him. Wilbur smiled to himself and entered his room as well. 

Techno wasn't oblivious to the fact that Philza favored him more than his own twin. He hates it, he hates the fact that his own brother can't do anything he wants to do without being told that it was childish or wrong. Sadly there's nothing anyone can do about it, he is the king after all. 

Wilbur set the guitar down by his bed and grabbed his notebook from his bedside table, he quickly fixed his hair and set off to the library.
