Sir- Dad
Me and Tord were sitting in an empty room. We were handcuffed to the table the whole time.
Tord did nothing but look bored as hell as he let out a heavy sigh. " how could you look so bored?! We just got caught by all these people!" I whisper shout.
"It's not exactly my first time in this room." He said, sinking into to his chair in shame.
"What?" I said with seriousness.
"Buuut! It's not exactly this hectic! They found out where we lived and what town we live in. And that's why I've been so worried back then. If they found out where I lived then I probably won't go back home." He explained, giving me a look of 'I hope you understand what the hell I'm saying.' Look.
No, I did, but...
Does that mean we're not coming home in a while...? Or worse, ever?
I narrowed my eyebrows at him. I looked at my hands. I killed someone...
Again.
I don't want to go home.
Is he still gonna send me to the army?
My eyes started to hurt as I held in my tears. I can't cry, not here.
Then, the big metal door creaked open as a man walked in with a clipboard. "Okay, let's get this over with." He said under his voice. "Hi Tord, remember me? We've been threw this already but you brought company here so my name is doctors—"
"Dick." Tord interrupted. I chocked on my own breathe with a little laughter I held in.
The man sighed heavily in disappointment. "No Tord, that's not my name."
"Just get to the questions Dicky! I wanna get out of this room already!" Tord complained.
"If you say so. Your where abouts?"
"In a house." He said, sarcastically.
He seemed to just be disappointed in Tord. "Fine." He wrote it down. "Why did you leave?"
"I don't like it here. Everyone here is to lazy and incompetent for my liking." He said, now scoffing at it all. "If I was the red leader, I would keep this place in shape. It would be the strongest arm in the world." He said, glaring at the so called doctor.
"Tord, for the last time. You will be the red leader." He said, making it clear.
"Whatever. Can I see my father or what? I just wanna get this over with." He said, stepping up.
for a while I wondered why everyone was letting Tord walk all over them in a way. Then I remember he's the son of the red leader. He could do whatever he wants. I stepped up to, trying following Tord if he leaves.
But then I remembered we were handcuffed...
He let out a sigh, then giving up. "Fine. But the girl has to stay." My heart sank at that.
Why do I need to wait here?!
"Wait, why does she had to stay here? She's coming with me." Tord said, getting a little angry.
"Tord, her father wants to talk to her in privet. And he was given permission by your father. So she has to wait here." He said, walking to Tord. "Lets go." He said as he took off the handcuffs off Tord.
"I'll be back soon, okay?" He said in a calming voice.
"Okay..." I say, worried I haft to talk to my father in a room where no one is in.
"Okay, don't worry, I'm coming back soon, okay? Don't let your old man get to you, okay?"
"Okay..."
"Okay..." Then, he left.
I sat there alone. In any second, my dad will walk threw those doors. I'm so scared, I honestly am.
My hands were shaking so much where I could hear the handcuffs raddled.
Then, the door creeks as it opened with a loud click.
I was so ready to talk to my dad. I straightened my back and Fixed my hair real quick. But, my dad didn't walk in. It was a girl with dark red lipstick and short brown hair.
"S-Susin?!" I yelled as she finally stepped in the room.
"Hello Y/n..." Then she shut the big metal door. When she did, she smiled widely and ran up to me and gave me a hug. I was so shocked. Other then that, I hugged her back, happy to see her.
"What the fuck are you doing here?!" I finally shouted as I let her go. "Why are you here?! And why are you wearing the uniform?!" I asked as I gaze at her outfit. My heart was pounding out of my chest. My throat was throbbing and leg turned into jelly.
"Look, Y/n, I can explain." She said, moving her hand in a way.
"Then do it." I spat.
"I work here."
"What?!"
"I mean, not exactly, I kinda live here."
"Live here?!"
"Look, I know you probably hate this place because your dad wants you to go here. But it's honestly not that bad. We don't even go on the battle field that offended so we're pretty safe here. Please just trust me." She explained, sitting on the chair where Tord was sitting.
"How long have you been working here?" I asked, curiously.
"I don't know, three years?" She said.
"Wait?" I said, making the room a little tense. "How do you know about my situation with my dad?" I asked suspicious. She seemed to froze. "If you've worked here that long, then you must have known about Tord." I say, glaring at her. She still didn't say anything. "Were you spying on me?!" I say up, glaring at her more.
"Look, that night at the bar. That was just my break from here, and when I met you I didn't think anything of it. But when you told me your name was Y/n, I started thinking a little. And then when you mentioned a guy named Tord, then I thought: it's gotta be you! So I started to hang around with you! Then I told the red leader I found his son and you, or what the army calls you: the missing soldier, I knew it was a bad thing to enjoy your company and Your friends... But... Mostly Tord..." She said, which made me all to confused.
They call me the missing soldier....
Does she like Tord???
How do they know how I am?
"Your dad. He's known around here. They all say he was the greatest solder that this army has ever seen! He was basically a legend here! His name is known all around this place! Y/n, I could tell you everything people here say about him." She explained with lights in her eyes, smiling widely. "Then, years ago, when everyone heard that he was going to have a kid and then have them join the army, everyone was wondering if this kid was going to be as great as your dad! Then years later, they ran away from home and never came back. So when that happened, your dad asked a favor from the red leader, it was to find the missing soldier." She explained, putting the dimness in her speech, making it sound like hell happened.
"Susin..." I say, glancing at her again, then I sat down and looked at the floor. "I'm so scared... Why'd you sell me out like this...!"
"I told you, you're the missing soldier! If I didn't, then I would probably be in big trouble if they found out I was hiding you and Tord! Maybe even get the death sentence if I didn't!" She yelled, holding her fists together. "I'm sorry but I had to." She calmed down, looking down at her feet.
"Can I... I just wanna go home...." I whispered, holding my knees up to my chest now.
"Just believe me when I say that this place isn't as bad as it sounds." She said, getting up from her chair. "I'll see you soon Y/n L/n." Then leaving.
I sat there, taking in everything.
So basically, my father has been looking for me since I was eighteen...? Just for me to join some army...? So I'm the missing soldier? I didn't even know what that was till now and I'm already surprised.
The door opened again, showing my father threw the door. To my surprise, he smiled. And it was genuine.
"Hello my dear soldier." He spoke, coming closer. I flinched at it, moving away till I realized that there was no where else to back up to.
My hands were sweaty. I feared he would yell at me for doing such a childish thing and abandoning my own parents. I feared I would half to stay with him again.
"So. You ran away. A week before I was going to make you join this place. You're so grown now." He said, with a little sadness. "My dear little soldier. I finally found you." He said, staring me down.
We did have a little staring contests, seeing who would talk first, though. Finally, I gathered up all the the bravery I had and stood up for myself. "I know. Sir— dad, ... I'm a grown woman now. I don't need this. I don't need you!" I rose my voice, glaring at him. "I don't need to join this army! I'm perfectly fine where I was without you!"
"Then what about your mother? I do understand why you left but what about mom? How does she feel losing her own child? She misses you everyday and she is waiting to talk to you right now as we speak!" He also rose his voice, pointing at the door as if my mother was there. "I missed you everyday to and I wish you came back everyday so you could make me proud. Y/n, just come home now. Please?"
I stopped for a while. I held my ground as I took in his calm and beg full voice.
"You drove me away." I said, glare at him hard. I looked down at my hands, then lifting my sleeve up. "You did these... You hurt me... Emotionally and physically...."
"That was all your punishment! You deserved them! You needed to know what pain was!" He yelled, slamming the table he was standing next to. I flinched, starting at him.
"I can't fight! Do you think I'm capable of fighting when I never fought back to you?! The battlefield isn't a place for me!" I yelled back, now a tear going down my eye.
"Battlefield...?" He spoke softly, thinking of the word. "No my dear, I'm not sending you to the battlefield." He said, smiling a little bit.
I felt relieved. I'm not going?
But where am I going...?
"What...?" I said, confused.
"Do you even know what I was in this army?"
What...
"I made our enemy's suffer. I made them give in of all their secrets..."
"I still don't get it..." I spoke, worrying if I ever will.
"Y/n, I was the ripper here."
He tortured people?!?
"What?!" I yelled, standing from my chair. "You want me to torture people?! Why would you want me to do that?! I was just a little girl! You didn't half to do all this! I just want to live a normal life! Not torture people!" I yelled, stomping my foot to the ground.
"You half to! This is what the family did! My father! And his father! And his and his and his! We all did the same thing and I want to keep it that way!" He yelled, coming closer. "I want to make my father proud! You should do the same thing!"
"I don't care if I make you proud or not!"
"What—"
"Why would you want me to do this?! I was just a little girl! Why would you want me to do this?! I'm weak! I'm nothing if I stay here!"
"No your not! Your strong! I knew making a little girl go threw this would be a bad idea! But you were different! I saw that you were different!"
"And if you were wrong?"
"I'm not."
"Not everyone is right."
"I'll see you at home soldier." he changed the subject, glaring at me one last time.
Then, he walked to the door, placing his hand on the knob. Then, he stopped and walked back to me. He walked close where I needed to back up but the handcuffs were holding me in place. He came closer and...
He hugged me...
"I missed you so much..." He spoke.
