Carl's POV

I woke up from my bed and I sit up and I noticed that my appearance remained the same and I'm awake in the same room I woke up in 'so it wasn't a dream' I thought. I get out of bed, and I put on some clothes, not the same as the last time I put on a similar outfit Carly wore before which was a while with blue stripe long sleeve shirt which the sleeve reached to my elbows and an orange sleeveless jacket over it along with navy blue jean pants, and orange converse shoes. Attached on the pants I put a light brown belt which have a deck pocket in it. I walk out of the house and was greeted by my dad.

"Hey sport, how was unpacking?" he asked me.

I smiled "It was good, Dad, I visited you show, and-" I said before getting cut off.

"Oh you joined a duel school, even if you didn't need to learn about dueling, but I guess is good to have a pass time every once in a while" he said.

"Honey, take it easy on him, besides, he made new friends with the neighbor's kid?" I hear mom saying as she gives Dad mug of coffee.

"Oh, Yoko's kid? that's good to know, his father was quite famous for the famous action duels" He then said.

I smiled as I eat my breakfast and I go called out "Hey Carl, you're heading out now?" Dad asked

I nodded "Yeah, I wanted to explore the city more, I don't start school until next week, right?" I spoke.

Dad nodded "yeah, but I want to give you before you head off" he said before pulling something out of his overcoat inner pocket and is an odd yet familiar pendant with a blue stone in it.

'It looks like Yuya's Pendant.' I thought "Dad where did you get it?" I decided to ask hopefully Yuya didn't dropped it when he headed out.

"I found it in the jewelry store, and I saw this pendant and I knew how much you like pendants" he explained.

I smiled and took the pendant once I grabbed it.

'Soon my friend, well meet sooner than you think' I heard a voice in my head, but she sounded different compared to the other fortune ladies' voices.

'Who said that?' I wondered

"Carl?" I heard my dad calling me out which it made me snap out of my thoughts

"O-Oh sorry just have a lot in mind that I zoned out" I said not wanting to worry them.

"Is fine just hope you like the pendant I got for you" he said.

I nodded "I do... and I'll treasure it, thanks pop" I said before giving him a kiss on the cheek before walking out "see you guys later" I said and with that I walk out of the house, and I could tell that Yuya's already out.

-Time skip-

So far, everything was going peacefully, I was walking and walking, I've seen multiple little kids dueling, playing in parks and all that kind of stuff. People of Maiami City are surprisingly nice; however, this moment of satisfaction didn't last long sadly.

"Hurry! If we arrive late, Sylvio isn't going to be happy!"

"I know!"

At the mention of Sylvio's name, I perked up and immediately turned my head to see two of Sylvio's goons carrying bags of food and running towards the dock while talking to each other.

I grin to myself "Great, I needed some action today" I said.

It was easy to follow behind them since they weren't running all that fast and their loud voices were easy to hear when they were yelling, soon we arrived at some kind of Wearhouse which they entered, I was about to do the same when I heard a voice behind me.

"So, there is where you hi-" I muttered.

"Carl!?" I heard a voice from behind me making me startled.

I turned around to see an all too familiar pink haired girl with a white and grey top and a red skirt who was accompanied by a younger girl with red hair, she according to her expression, was surprised to see me here.

"Oh, thank God, Yuzu is just you, and Allie, you scared me" I told her.

"What are you doing here?" Allie asked me.

"I saw two of Sylvio's goons entering that warehouse and it seems that those four are preparing another strike, so I came here to put them back in their place" I explained my reason to them.

Yuzu nodded "Me too. I was buying ice-cream with Allie when we saw those two jerks" she said.

I nodded back "Looks like we came here with the same idea" I then said before kneeling to Allie "Allie, you better head back to You Show and get Yuya. Don't worry about Yuzu and me, we can handle Sylvio. He's nothing more than an annoying snobby duelist" I reassured her.

She nods at me "okay, be careful you two" she said before heading off.

I look at Yuzu "Okay let's go, Yuzu" I said.

Yuzu nods "I'm right behind you" she replied and without warning Yuzu and I got out from behind our hiding place and ran into the warehouse where the four idiots didn't even notice us at first because they were eating.

"On three we get their attention...one" I said.

"Two" Yuzu counts with me.

"Three!" we both yelled as we walk up.

"Sylvio!" Yuzu called him out as I stood next to her making Sylvio almost choke on his food

"Yuzu Boyle?! Carl Carmine?!" Sylvio stated when he sees us as I cross my arms "How did you get here!?" he questioned.

I pointed at the two goons we followed "your buddies here lack evasiveness, so it was easy to follow" I explained as Sylvio glared down at them for causing this problem.

"Seriously, what's your problem? Can't you let people live without annoying them? Why don't you understand you are just a rich spoiled brat with no Dueling skills!?" Yuzu sassed making me look at her with shock.

'Goddamn!' I said in my head.

'You go girl' I hear Fire saying.

"What did you say? You dare speak of Neo New Sylvio like that? I'm the best duelist in the city!" Sylvio stated dramatically making me cringe at it.

"Let me keep it one hundi with you. First, Neo means new. So, your name is basically New New Sylvio which sounds completely stupid" I said as Yuzu giggled "Second, "Best Duelist in the City"? Boy, your moves are so predictable that a 5-year-old toddler would see them coming!" I stated as I hear Yuzu giggling more and a faint chuckle 'Someone new has entered the chat' I thought "Also having all the rare cards you want is useless if you don't know how to play them" I finished saying what I want to say.

As Sylvio finally had a gut full of my constant jabs at him, he snapped his fingers and two of his goons closed and locked the door to the warehouse cutting off our only way outside.

"You will now pay for mocking me, Carmine! Let's settle the score right here, right now!" Sylvio angrily stated as he pulls out his duel disk and activates it.

I shrug at this "Fine. If your wish is to be defeated harshly a second time, I will gladly fulfill it" I said.

As I prepared to take out my duel disk the goons that locked the door screamed in pain as he was sent to the floor quickly, we all turned to see that the doors were open, and a masked individual was standing in front of them.

"Let me do this..."

I nodded "Alright mister Cool and Dark" I tell the mysterious person but somehow, I think the hair gives me some familiarity with what I remember Yuya has like three counterparts in three other dimensions could he be one of them?

"Ha! Gay!" Sylvio yelled which he yelped when I glare darkly at him.

"Got a problem with the LGBTQ+ community?" I asked.

At this Sylvio and his goons became very silent from my hidden threat, I turned back to the guy and Yuzu, and I couldn't be sure, but I think I saw some pink dusting the guy's cheeks, hope I didn't make him uncomfortable, but that wasn't here nor there, so I pulled Yuzu over to the side.

"This guy can settle this with Sawatari, I trust him" I tell her.

"And who are you exactly? Mr. Knight?" Sylvio asked the guy which he didn't respond to him he just remained silent as he just took out his Duel disk. even if he's wearing a mask, I could tell that this guy's he was focused on the badge of the LID Sawatari was wearing "Strange Duel Disk. So, I take it you don't want to talk. However, once I win, you'll have to take off that mask" he said.

"hm... Hey mask boy" I called the Masked duelist who slightly turn his head to me "I can tell that you won't need it... but good luck" I said he stayed looking at me for a second before turning back to Sylvio

Third Person's POV

The Mysterious duelist looks at Carl for a moment then it flashed an image of a white and orange hair male next to him.

'That confidence, and determination...is just like...him...Melo' He thought before turning his head back to Sylvio

"Let's duel!" Both Sylvio and the mysterious Duelist 

Silvio: 4000

"I'll go first" the Mask male said which Carl looks at the male.

'Is it me or his voice sounded a bit deeper than a normal teenage boy, he probably has a voice changer in the mouth cover' he thought.

"By all means" Sylvio responded.

Silvio's Opponent shows his five cards in hand "I place all five cards in my hand facedown!" he stated as fiver cards materialized facedown before quickly vanishing in front of his feet surprising both Yuzu and Sylvio Carl on the other hand seems to be unfazed as if he knew what the masked duelist is planning.

To Carl unsurprise hears Sylvio laughing underestimating his Opponent "play", Carl looks back at the Mysterious male 'I hope you know what are you doing' Carl thought.

"It's my turn, draw!" Sylvio yelled as he drew a card.

"First I'll take advantage of your facedown cards. After all, since you have two or more cards in your spell/trap card zone I can summon this chilling villain straight from my hand!" He said while showing off a card "Introducing Escher the Frost Vassal!" Sylvio yelled as Frost Vassal appeared to the field.

Escher the Frost Vassal: Atk/800

"But I'm not done I'll tribute for this cool costumer" Sylvio said as Escher lights up and turns into green bits "Makes way for Mobius the frost Monarch!" Sylvio yelled as Mobius ascends from a rainbow portal.

Mobius the frost Monarch: Atk/2400

"All right! the duel just started, and Sylvio already got a big-time monster out" one of Silvio's goons stated while cheering for his boss. 

"With a big time, ability!" Sylvio added "You see when Mobius is successfully summoned, I can select up to 2 spell or trap cards on the field and freeze them out!" Sylvio explained as Mobius throws a blizzard towards the Masked duelist's field completely vaporizing two cards that are on Sylvio's left which are two spell cards, but like Carl the Masked duelist seem unfazed with this "And unfortunately for you I'm just getting started 'cause next, I activate the spell, tribute carnival" he then said as he places a card to the field "Now since I already executed a tribute summon, I can tribute summon once again" he explained

"And here I thought Carnival were supposed to be fun" Yuzu sarcastically said.

"Yeah, but I suggest that you should keep your concern to a minimum, I just have a feeling that he might be expecting this to happen" Carl whispered to Yuzu who looked at him unsurely but nodded.

"Alright I trust you" Yuzu said to the black hair male with glasses.

"Mobius the Frost Monarch, farewell" Sylvio said as his monster turns into bits "Now Rise Mobius the Mega Monarch!" Sylvio stated as his Mega Monarch then appeared to the field.

Mobius the Mega Monarch: Atk/2800

"Now his special ability activates, thank you for reminding me about it from our last duel, Carmine, it allows me to select up to 3 spell or trap cards on the field and destroy them, since I tribute a water attribute monster to summon Mega Monarch your cards won't do a thing" Sylvio said as Mega Monarch successfully destroyed the remaining cards that are on the Masked duelist side of the field.

"Hey, I can actually feel the cold, but that can't be. Unless the action of this duel is a lot more real than I thought" Yuzu said to herself

"Having second thoughts about this duel mister mystery? you have no facedowns on the field, and no monster to protect your precious life points, and maybe in the future you should let Yuzu, and Carl fight their own battles" Sylvio said as he tells Mobius to attack.

'Carl?' the masked duelist thought before looking at the raven boy with glasses.

Then Carl begins to laugh making everyone look at him

Carl fixes his glasses once he calms down "Oh my god Sylvio, you really are an idiot!" Carl said.

Sylvio growls angrily and points at Carl "What are you talking about!?" he questioned.

Carl pulls up his pointing finger and smiles at Sylvio "You all forgotten the number one rule of a duel..." he happily said before his smile faded in a second "You should never underestimate your opponent" he said with a dark tone making everyone, but the masked duelist shivered their spine "you did that same mistake in our last duel, looks like you didn't learn it, and I guess you have to learn it the hard way" he added with that same tone

'Wow...he figured it out like he did...' The Masked duelist thought as his eyes widen with shock from behind his goggles but snap out of his amazement and point forward "I activate the spell the Phantom knights of Shadow veil from the graveyard" he then said surprising everyone but Carl.

"Huh!? Graveyard!?" they questioned.

"How can he do that?" one of Sylvio questioned.

"Yeah, but cards in the graveyard you can use them unless..."

"Unless you triggered the card's effect like you just did by declaring a direct attack, now since I have three of them in my graveyard, I get to summon them" The Mask duelist said as 

The Phantom Knights of Shadow Veil: Def/300

"So, you have three monsters on the field but that won't change a thing. Do you want to know why? Because they won't be here for long, now Mega Monarch attack that first Shadow Veil! Sneak spike smash!" Sylvio yelled as Mega Monarch's spike light up and grow bigger and successfully destroyed one of the masked duelist Shadow Veils.

"When Shadow Veil's destroyed is vanished instead of the graveyard" The masked duelist said.

"You just summoned those monsters as a wall. I set one card and end my turn. Now make it quick so I can end this on my next turn" Sylvio said as Carl burst out laughing again "What's so funny now!?" he questioned.

"I'm afraid you won't have a next turn against him. It was even a mistake to think you could beat him at all" Carl tells Sylvio which underneath the mask the mysterious duelist. smirked

"He's not wrong, you know. Your tactics are so transparent. There's no originality in it" The unknown duelist agrees with Carl.

"Hey!" Sylvio whined.

The unfamiliar duelist draws a card "After all, the conditions have been met since I have two monsters with the same level" he said. 

"What does he mean?" Carl hears Yuzu asking.

Carl crosses his arms "Oh please Yuzu. It's pretty obvious what he is capable of doing with two monsters that are the same level" he tells her while turning his head to Yuzu.

Yuzu looks at Carl confused and then it clicks her "Don't tell me he can-" she questioned before Carl cut her off.

"Yep, although it was a guess, but I think he's bringing the big guns" he said.

"I overlay my two level 4 Shadow Veils to construct the Overlay Network!" The Mysterious duelist said as the two monsters changed into two purple-colored spheres and flew into the sky before entering what looked like a purple and yellow blackhole that appeared on the ground and from it came a pillar of purple light.

"It can't be!" Sylvio panicked with disbelief.

"That..." Yuzu said but couldn't finished what she wanted to say.

"Formed from pitch-black darkness, to fight those foolish enough to oppose it with its treacherous fangs! Now descend! Xyz summon! Rank 4! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!"

From the black hole like portal came a black and purple dragon with claws of its tail and two claws like fangs on its chin as two purple orbs were flying around it in a circular motion as the dragon let out a mighty roar.

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon: Atk/2500

"Xyz...summon..." Yuzu said in amazement and shock.

"No way! this guy can Xyz summon!" one of the goons said.

"Only elite LID students chose those courses!" Another goon added.

Carl crosses his arm "Oh please! There is nothing complicated on Extra Deck summoning! Everyone can do it without the need of a course! The fact that only your top students have those summoning methods just proves how bad your school really is! that's what you get for underestimating your opponent two times in a row" he said with a smirk.

Everyone was silent for a few seconds before Sylvio begins to applaud "I'm impressed you managed to Xyz summon that quickly, however Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon only has 2500 Atk compared to my Mobius who has 2800 Atk points. Your Xyz summon is nothing more than a bluff" he said.

Carl glares at Sylvio "And that Sawatari, is another piece of proof of your eternal stupidity" he said.

"What was that?" Sylvio growls

"Judging a monster just by its Atk points is a mistake you should never make. Did you forget our last duel when I Use Fortune Lady Fire's ability? You thought that because my monster had high Atk points you couldn't find a way around it, for some monsters it's their special effect you need to look out for. And that's where the true power of Xyz monsters relies on their Overlay Units, allowing them to use those powerful effects" Carl explained which the Masked duelist looks at Carl impressed and smirked underneath his mask.

"I don't care for your lessons on Xyz summoning, I'm not interested" Sylvio sassily said.

Carl sighed and looked at the masked male "This guy is completely helpless. How about you teach him the hard way?" he asked.

The Masked Duelist nodded before turning back to Sawatari "I think I should demonstrate the power of Xyz monsters! I activate Dark Rebellious Xyz Dragon's effect! I detach 1 overlay unit to halve the Attack points of a level 5 or higher monster on the opponent's field until the End Phase and Dark Rebellion gains the lost amount! Treason Discharge!" he explained.

One of the two Overlay Units flew into Dark Rebellion's chest as its wings opened and released an electrical discharge which bended Mobius, draining half of its Atk away.

Mobius the Mega Monarch: Atk/2800 → 1400

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon: Atk/2500 → 3900

"No way!" Sylvio panicked looking at both monsters' attack points.

Carl smirked "Also I don't remember our guest here saying that Dark Rebellion's effect is a once per turn thing" he said.

Yuzu widens her eyes with shock "Does that mean...?" she questioned.

"I detach the last Overlay unit to activate Dark Rebellion's effect once more! Treason Discharge!" the masked duelist said as once again the final Overlay Unit flew into Dark Rebellion's chest allowing it to send another electrical shock to Mobius weakening it Atk points even more while making itself stronger.

Mobius the Mega Monarch: Atk/1400 → 700

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon: Atk/3900 → 4600

"4600 attack point!" Yuzu surprisingly stated.

"No way! No way!" Sylvio yelled out of fear.

"Battle! I attack Mobius the Mega Monarch with Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon! Go! Crush this glacier with your fangs! Lightning Disobey of Rebellion!" the masked duelist yelled.

The black and purple dragon charged headfirst into its attack, entirely shattering Mobius, sending Sawatari flying while the building was crumbling. The masked duelist went over to Yuzu to protect her from the debris while Carl was easily dodging the incoming debris, soon it had finally calmed down.

Sylvio: 4000 - 100

"That was a real impact!?" one goon questioned.

"But we weren't even in an Action Field!" another goon responded.

then something clicked in Carl 'Now I remember this guy... he's Yuto, Yuya's Xyz dimension counterpart' he thought smirking at the two duelists before noticing the male name Yuto approaching towards Sylvio 

"Now you'll answer me" he said as he shows a LID badge "This badge is from LID, right? What is your connection to Duel Academy?" he asked?

Sylvio looks at Yuto confused "Duel Academy? Sorry, never heard of that place..." he answered.

Yuto then growls not buying with his words before grabbing Sylvio by the collar "Don't play dumb with me!" he yelled.

"I'm not! Everyone who enrolls in LDS has a badge like that! I have no idea what this Duel Academy is!" Sylvio cowardly said.

Yuto seemed to hesitate for a moment, but Carl can tell that he thinks Sawatari is telling the truth which he was, he doesn't know a thing about Duel Academy...yet.

 Yuto sighed before letting go of Sylvio "That's it, I have nothing to gain here anymore" he said before turning away walking off from Sylvio

Sylvio smirks "You idiot! The duel isn't over yet! I activate my trap, Ice Rage Shot! If an opponent's monster destroyed an Aqua-type monster I controlled by battle, that monster is destroyed and then you take damage equal to its Attack points!" he yelled.

Everyone was surprised by this except Yuto and Carl, Carl knew it was coming because he'd seen the episode with a friend in his past life and Yuto because he was just that skilled to have a backup plan.

"Your Dark Rebellion's Attack is 4600. If it gets destroyed, I will win! I prepared for this eventuality!" Sylvio said before noticing Carl holding back his laughter.

"Pff. Sylvio, how about you just give up peacefully before your pride and ego get hurt?" Carl said with a smirk of his own.

"What are you talking about!?"

"Sawatari-san is going to win!"

Carl looks at them with a 'really bitch?' look "I would've given you guys the Oscar for best comedian if I ever have one carrying with me right now" Carl sarcastically said before turning his attention to Sylvio "With the way Sylvio duels, even a five-year-old can beat him" he added.

"This guy keeps impressing me..." Yuto muttered to himself "He's not wrong you know; such a cheap trick is child's play, honestly" he then said.

"What!?" Sylvio questioned.

"From my Graveyard, I activate the Continuous spell, Phantom Knight's Spear" Yuto continues without looking back at Sawatari "by removing this card from my Graveyard, I can negate the activation of a trap card of my opponents and destroy it" he explained.

A spear came out of nowhere and flew towards Sawatari's side of the field and pierced his trap card destroying it, much to the latter's shock, but he was in for a little bit more of a shock as the spear was now pointing at him.

"Then, you take 100 points of damage" Yuto then finished.

"Wait! Wait! Wait! WAIT!" Sylvio begged.

"Sucks to be you, huh?" Carl asked.

"Experience it with your own flesh! The Pain and Sorrow of the battlefield!" Yuto stated. 

Without missing a beat Yuto pointed at Sylvio sending the spear fling towards Sawatari but it only hit his jacket, but the force behind the attack was enough to launch him back landing on the ground in pain causing Yuzu to hide her face in Carl's back, which is understandable since injuring your opponent wasn't something that was smiled on at all.

Sylvio: 100 - 0

Carl's POV

After that Yuto walked over to Yuzu and I before reaching his hands to behind his head taking off his mask everyone in the Wearhouse was shocked to see that the person looked like our favorite pendulum using dueler.

"Yuya!?" Yuzu asked looking at Yuto with shock.

"I-it was you...?" Sylvio questioned before he faints from the shocking twist.

"This guy is dangerous! We've got to get out of here" One of the goons said to his other two buddies before taking off carrying an unconscious Sawatari.

Yuzu was still surprised by what happened, only I was still straight faced by this I knew that sooner or later Yuya will show up and Yuzu's bracelet will activate sending Yuto away if my memory didn't fail me.

"Yuya!" Yuzu said as she runs over to Yuto "Why are you dressed like that?" she asked him.

I cross my arms looking at the scene a bit awkward "Yuzu... that's not Yuya" I said.

"Huh? But he clearly looks like..." she tried to deny but I cut her off.

"Seriously? As long as I can remember, I don't recall Yuya having black and purple hair, light grey eyes, a rather deep and husky voice or knowing how to Xyz summon" I explained to her as Yuzu does a quick look over seeing that I was right.

I see Yuto walking up to me "Your knowledge on dueling and extra deck summoning is far too advanced for you to be a resident of this dimension. You can't be from the Xyz dimension, I've never seen you before. So that leaves Fusion and Synchro dimensions, and there's only one way to find out" he said before he activates his duel disk and I heard him muttering something "you almost have the same face as him..." he said.

'Him? who is he talking about?' I questioned in my mind before looking over to Yuzu "Yuzu. Go find Yuya, I think he might have gotten lost when I told Allie to get him. I'll duel our dark and cool guest here" I said.

I see Yuto blushes at the comment and looks away "S-Stop that!" he stated.

"B-But..." Yuzu tried to argue but I cut her off again.

"I'll be okay, go" I said.

Hearing me raise my voice Yuzu could tell that I was leaving no room for argument as she ran out of the warehouse main doors heading away from the docks to try and find Yuya and bring him here.

third Person's POV

'I thought she was Lulu but since she didn't recognize me, that means that wasn't her... Like I thought he was Melo' Yuto thought looking at Carl.

"Let's get this over with, shall we?" Carl said as he activates my duel disk.

"Let's duel" Both Carl and Yuto yelled.

Yuto: 4000
Carl: 4000

"You can have the first move" Carl said to him.

Yuto looks at Carl "I summon Phantom Knights Dusty Robe!" he yelled as he places a card on his duel disk.

Phantom Knights Dusty Robe: Atk/800

"Since I control a level 3 Phantom Knight monster, I can special summon Phantom Knights of Silent Boosts from my hand!" Yuto explained to Carl as a similar monster to the first one appeared but one of the clear differences was that this one didn't have hands but a pair of legs with some old boots on joined the robe on the field.

Phantom Knights of Silent Boots: Atk/200

'Here's comes his Xyz summon' Carl thought.

"I Overlay my level 3 Phantom Knights Dusty Robe and Silent Boots to build the Overlay Network!" Yuto said. Like before when Yuto Xyz summoned his two-monster turned into purple spheres of light fling into the sky as on the ground opened a purple and yellow blackhole which the two monsters flew into creating a pillar of purple light. "Souls of knights who fell on the battlefield. Revive here and now and become light that breaks the darkness! Xyz summon! Rank 3! Phantom Knights Break Sword!"

From the purple and yellow blackhole came a monster that is the exact replica of the Headless Horseman, with a giant sword and two spheres of purple light floating around appeared on Yuto's field and the horse let out a mighty whinny sound.

Phantom Knights Break Sword: Atk/2000

"I end my turn, your move" Yuto said.

Carl nods "thank you" he said with a small smile "I draw!" he stated as he drew a card he looks at all of his cards and he can easily tell that he has different ways to make a play "Alright I made up my mind, I'll be doing this! I Summon Fortune Lady Wind!" Carl stated as Fortune Lady Wind appeared in front of Carl.

Fortune Lady Wind: Atk/?

'So, what's up' Wind said with a peace sign.

"Unknown attack points... that's new" Yuto said.

"Well, this is the third time I have to explain. Fortune Lady Wind's attack points are based on the number of levels she has multiplied by three hundred. When she's summoned to the field, her level is already at three." Carl explained.

Fortune Lady Wind: Atk/? → 900

"Next I activate the spell Fortune Lady Calling! since I have a fortune Lady monster on the field it allows me to summon another Fortune Lady with a different name! from anywhere in my deck" Carl explained.

'Summon me' Carl heard a familiar echoed voice in his head before shaking his head.

"I summon the tuner monster Fortune Lady Past! Since Past is a level one monster her attack and defense points are equal to her level times two hundred" Carl explained as an orange light appeared from the ground next to fortune Lady wind and Fortune Lady past flew out of it. She adorned robes that were similar to the Dark Signers in Yu-Gi-Oh 5ds. Specifically, the ones worn by Carly Carmine herself. The portal closed allowing the monster to look around after fluttering her eyes open. She seemed a little confused as she looked around but quickly shifted her focus back to the duel. She took a battle stance while giving a cold glare over towards Yuto.

Fortune Lady Past: Atk/? → 200

'Is nice to finally meet you' Carl hears Past saying to him.

"Did you say Tuner?" Yuto questioned.

"Just because I can Synchro summon doesn't mean that I'm from that Synchro Dimension that I heard you mention" Carl responded "But I'm not done, I'm activating the spell Time Passage! this spell will gain any Fortune Lady additional three levels I'm giving them to Fortune Lady Wind!" Carl said.

Fortune Lady Wind: level/3 → 6 Atk/900 → 1800

"Also, I didn't get your name" Carl then asked.

"The name is Yuto, and I'm taken" Yuto said.

"I didn't ask if you're single or not, but okay, I'm Carl by the way" Carl said.

'You're planning on summoning her, Carl?' Wind asked.

Carl nodded "Now I'm tunning Fortune Lady Past with Wind to form a Synchro summon!" Carl yelled.

Past raised her staff allowing magic to flow into the crystal. Light enveloped her body before transforming into a single ring. Fortune Lady Wind rose into the air heading straight for the ring. Her body began to hollow out as she passed through the ring revealing the six shining white stars inside. They all aligned in the center which caused the same energy to arc between them like before. A white pilar of light struck the ground.

"Behold the mighty sorceress who sees all that is past, present, and future! Reveal yourself and seal the fate of our foes! COME FORTH, LEVEL 7, FORTUNE LADY EVERY!" Carl yelled as the light fades and Fortune Lady Every appeared in front of right above him.

Fortune Lady Every: ATK/? → 2800

The sight of this new monster was quite something to behold. Light seemed to emit from her very being. The most striking traits were her ocean blue eyes and cyan colored hair.

"Fortune Lady Every attack! with Cursed Omnipotence!" Carl yelled as he pointed forward.

Fortune Lady Every held up her staff into the air. There was nothing for a second until the blue gem started to gather energy. Every unleashed a beam of cascading energy. It shone with a plethora of all sorts of different colors. The beam consumed Break Sword whole and continued on towards Yuto who took some damage.

Yuto: 4000 - 3200

Yuto points front "That was a good move Carl, but I activate Break Sword's effect! when it's destroyed in battle, I can bring the monsters I used to Xyz summon with one extra level!" he explained.

Phantom Knights of Silent Boots: Level/3 → 4

Phantom Knights Dusty Robe: Level/3 → 4

Carl looks at the monsters "Alright, then. I'll be ending my turn with one card face down" Carl finishes as a face down materialized before vanishes from everyone's sight "your move because I'm done with mine" he said.

'Not gonna lie, he's good' Yuto thought.

-LID's control room-

"President! We've picked up on the huge summoning energy again!" Claude said to Declan.

"That means that Carmine must be dueling again, put it on screen" Declan said.

After some time, the video of Carl and Yuto's duel appeared on the main screen with Carl having Fortune Lady Every out on the field.

"Is impressive is that Yuya Sasaki?" Claude asked looking at Yuto.

Declan shakes his head "It looks like him, but I don't think that's him though" he said he looks at Carl and Yuto 'so you can Synchro summon, huh?' he thought.

-back at the warehouse-

"I draw! I now Overlay my level 4 Ancient Cloak and Silent Boots to create the Overlay Network!" Yuto chanted.

'Get ready Every, here comes his dragon' Carl thought.

'Right!' Fortune Lady Every replied while getting ready for what's coming.

"Formed from pitch-black darkness, to fight those foolish enough to oppose it with its treacherous fangs! Now descend! Xyz summon! Rank 4! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!" Yuto stated as like before from the purple and yellow blackhole like portal came a black and purple dragon with claws of its tail and two claws like fangs on its chin as two purple orbs were flying around it in a circular motion as the dragon let out a mighty roar.

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon: Atk/2500

The strangest thing happened, once Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon was summoned it begins to roar at Fortune Lady Every who seemed to be caught off guard which Carl noticed.

'Every, what's wrong is it trying to communicate with you?' Carl asked.

'I-I wish I knew the answer, but unfortunately I don't speak Dragon' Every responded looking at Carl with a unsure expression on her face.

'That's okay let's just focus on winning this duel for now' he then tells her.

'As you wish' Every replied looking at Xyz Dragon determined.

"I activate Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's effect! I detach 1 Overlay Unit I target your Fortune Lady as she loses half of her Attack points which Dark Rebellious gains! Treason Discharge!" Yuto explained.

Fortune Lady Every: Atk/2800 → 1400

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon: Atk/2500 → 3900

Carl looks up and sees Fortune Lady Every gets surrounded by purple electricity as she screams in pain "Every, hang on!" he calls out his monster.

"And I'll use his effect once more! Treason Discharge!" Yuto added.

Fortune Lady Every: Atk/1400 → 700

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon: Atk/3900 → 4600

"Not bad" Carl said.

"You're not scared?" Yuto asked.

"Just concerned mostly but yeah I am scared; I just can hide that one better than concerned" Carl explained.

Yuto shakes his head "Doesn't matter, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, take out Fortune Lady Every!" he then stated. 

Dark Rebellion flew up into the air about to come down on Fortune Lady Every, but something Every immediately vanishes from sight, which it made Dark Rebellion stop in its tracks from continuing the attack which confused Yuto.

"If you're wondering what happened, because I activated the trap slip of fortune, not only it'll send Every to the future, but it negates your Dragon's attack!" Carl explained.

"Alright then you might have saved yourself this time, I end my turn" Yuto said.

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon: Atk/4600 → 2500

Carl draws a card and sees that is Fortune Lady Light and smiled 'just as who I wanted, but I think I won't be needing it anymore' Carl thought as he looks at the card along with his remaining two cards Pot of greed, and Future visions.

"This is the turn that you will lose Yuto" Carl said to the black and purple hair boy.

Yuto looks at Carl with a questioning look "Huh?" he questioned.

"To start of due to Slip of Fortune, Fortune Lady Every return from the future." Carl explained as Fortune Lady reappears in the field.

Fortune Lady Every: Atk/2800

"Now Fortune Lady Every remained in the field her level increased to now becoming a level eight monster" Carl explained more.

Fortune Lady Every: Level/7 → 8

"And you know what this means for each lever her attack points increase by four hundred" Carl added.

Fortune Lady Every: Atk/2800 → 3200

"I then Activate Fortune Lady Every's special ability! it allows me to choose a monster from your side of the field...and vanish it, since your Xyz Dragon's the only one monster on the field, time to say goodbye" Carl said as Every's gem from her scepter lights up and swings forwards as Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon vanishes from both duelist sight which shocks Yuto "Now Every, finish the job Attack Yuto Directly, Cursed Omnipotent!"

"AAHH!" Yuto screamed as he flies back.

Yuto: 3200 - 0

Carl's POV

Once I saw that Yuto was flung to the other side of the warehouse, I got worried and ran over to check if he was alright, thankfully when I got there, he was sitting up with a shocked look on his face.

"Yuto!" I call him.

"I... lost" he said with shock.

I kneel to him "Hey are you okay? It looked like you landed hard..." I asked him.

He looked at me like he was waiting for me to do something, that's when I remembered that he thought I was with Duel Academy and was waiting for me to "card" him, but he was surprised when I offered my hand out to him.

"Come on, I'm sure is uncomfortable sitting on the ground" I said with a smile on my face

He seemed hesitant at first but soon took my hand as I helped him to his feet and I noticed that just like Yuya his hands were really soft, like what the heck are all the Zarc counter parts going to have really soft hands or something!?

-LID control room-

Third Person's POV

"What should we do about this Yuto person President?" Claude asked while watching the monitor.

"Nothing for now it seems that Carmine has it all under control..." Declan replied as just as they were about to continue watching what might happen next the screens footage suddenly cuts out surprising everyone as they tried to get connection back, but it seemed that someone cut the connection of the damage finally got to the camera "I guess we'll have to wait as see what happens next another time" he then said.

"Oh President, I forgot to mention, Divin's home" Claude informs his president.

"He is?" Declan asked Claude who nodded "good to know, I'll be heading off and see him" he said as he walks out of the room.

-back at the warehouse-

Carl's POV

Yuto blushes slightly and looks away "I guess I was wrong about you... You're not with Duel Academy" he said I think that's his way of saying sorry without saying "I'm sorry."

I shake my head "there's no need to apologize, Yuto. I, myself, was beginning to lose people to trust, but I've met people who gave me hope that the world isn't as dark as it seems" I said with a kind smile.

Yuto's POV

I look at this Carl guy and man he reminded me so much of him...Melo how much I miss you...don't worry we will be together again and once we do, I'll hug you so tight I'll not let you go...again.

"Yuto" I heard a Echoey voice of the voice of my favorite person.

-Flashback-

"Hey Yuto, you think we can go on that rollercoaster, next" My beautiful best friend Melo asked me. 

Melo is a slight tall young man with white and orange hair and orange eyes he wears a gray sleeveless hoodie with a blue and white jacket over it along with white jeans and pastel blue running shoes to match the jacket

Melo was standing maybe a few inches taller than me but he's a kind and softy compared to me, but I can't argue with him is what makes Melo, Melo the more we'd spent the more we I fall for him, I don't get why I agree to let Lulu set up this date for me.

"Yuto, are you okay? you've seemed pretty zoned out" He asked me with concerned.

I blush and wave him off "I-I'm fine d-don't apologize really! Sorry" I reassured him.

Melo smiled at me and shook his head "I didn't say sorry, and there's no need to apologize, Yuto" he said to me before looking up in the sky once we sat on a nearby bench "I, myself, was beginning to lose people to trust, back where I used to live but I've met people who gave me hope that the world isn't as dark as it seems. and I'm glad that you were one of those people, Yuto" he said with a giggle.

I couldn't help but admiring his beauty as the blows and makes his hair flew smoothly.

"Melo...there's something I-I've been wanting to tell you for some time, and I think is the perfect time to tell you" I said.

"What is it?" He asked me as he tilted his head innocently man so cute, damn it!

"Melo... I-" I said before the flash back ended.

"Uh Yuto?" I snaped out of my thought when I noticed that I was hugging Carl I jumped and move away.

"S-Sorry" I said.

Carl's POV

"Melo..." I heard Yuto Muttering

"Uh Yuto?" I called him which made him looks at me and realized what he was doing and he jumped.

"S-Sorry" He apologized.

Yuto let go of me, I didn't get why he hugged me out of nowhere...could it be that I reminded him of someone he knows? Before I could say another word, Yuto was covered by a bright pink light making both of us cover our eyes, once the light disappeared and I uncovered my eyes I saw that Yuto was nowhere to be found.

'That has to be Yuzu's bracelet, which means...' I thought.

"Carl!" I hear Yuya and Yuzu's voices from behind me.

I was quick enough to turn around as Yuya came crashing into me knocking us down to the ground hugging me, I could feel my shirt getting wet I looked down to see that Yuya was actually crying.

I gently petted his head "Hey Yuya, I'm okay, see?" I reassured him.

Yuya sniffed "After what Yuzu told me, I was scared..." he said.

I sighed sadly "I didn't mean to scare you like that" I said to him.

Yuzu looks around before looking at me "Is he still here?" she asked with me knowing completely who she's referring to.

I shake my head "No. We dueled and I won, I wanted to talk to him, but he suddenly disappeared..." I explained.

"What's with all that smoke?" Yuya asked as he covers his nose "Let's go back to You Show, I'm sure everyone else is worried about your safety. By the way Carl how come you were here?"

I looked at Yuzu "didn't you tell him?" I asked.

"Sorry, I was in a hurry and didn't take time to explain to Yuya" Yuzu apologized.

"It's fine, I understand" I said and then look at Yuya "During my walk through the city I saw two of Sawatari's goons and followed them here and that when I met up with Yuzu and Allie" I explained to him.

"Oh, okay. Let's go to You Show then head home" Yuya then suggested with a smile, and I swear one of these days that smile of his will be the death of me.

"Be careful Carl your gay is showing" I hear Fortune Lady Fire saying before giggling.

'Oh, shush you' I responded making Fire laugh.

With that Yuya, Yuzu and I all made our way back to You Show, Yuya didn't let go of my hand the whole way there which was really sweet, don't know why, but not that I'm complaining. it was like he was scared I might disappear on him, but that won't be happening, that I promise.
