Third Person's POV

Carl and Yuya joined the others in the crowd as they see Sora and Shay in the arena Carl knew that this duel would show Sora's psychotic side towards Shay which will leave Yuya and the others Questioned 'I don't think it'll be the right time to tell them about Sora's true intentions yet even though they'll know anyway' Carl thought before looking at Yuya 'plus...Yuya and Yuto will meet each other which is something...right?' he added.

Carl sighed "you know something do you?" he heard his mom asking him.

Carl sighed again "I can't hide anything from you can I?" he questioned "you see, Sora's one of those classmates who I'm not as close with as the others I just have a feeling that he can be cute looking, but he could use that innocent act to hide from a side that no one had seen in him" Carl said.

Mari nodded "yeah I feel you I uses to know people similar to Sora, they're not duelists but they were surprising ones in many ways" she tells her son.

Carl looks at his mom and sighed "yeah...mom" Carl said before starting to feel nervous.

"Yes?" she asked. 

Carl looked at her for a moment before shaking his head "I'll tell you after the duel" he said which his mom nodded.

"It's time for today's fourth mega match up! it's You Show's Sora Perse versus Leo Institute's Shay Obsidian!" Nico announces as Sora and Shay are walking in the field and the crowd cheered for them.

'I have a bad feeling about this match up' Carl thought.

"Oh yeah Sora!" Skip cheered.

"Come on Sora you can make it three in a row" Gong said.

As he hears the others cheering Carl forced a smiled but couldn't help but feeling worried about the outcome of this duel 'there's Shay' he thought.

"there's our friend" Carl then hear Yuya saying clearly.

Carl turns his head to the side and leans forward and looks at Yuzu who he knew she has something to say "I can't believe Shay's dueling with the Leo institute after all the drama he had with Julia, the whole thing doesn't make sense. Shay was the one who attack Julia's professor, and all those LID students" Yuzu said which something made Carl smirked a bit but shakes his head "Julia wanted to make him pay I'd never seen anyone so determine to take someone down, I don't know what happened between them in that duel, but when I saw that Shay was dueling for Julia's school, she acted like nothing was never wrong between them" she then said.

Carl nodded "is true is like something or someone had done something to wipe that memory not just her but to Kit and Dipper as well, they seemed pretty chill with him" he tells them.

"You're right something weird is going on here, that Xyz monster he summoned it knocked me away like it was real or something" Yuya said with furrowed brows remembering that incident before heading to duel Pierre he goes forward "Sora, be careful don't let your guard down" Yuya warns the sky-blue male in the arena who heard him.

Sora waves at Yuya "don't you worry, just sit there, relax and enjoy the show, it's my turn to entertain you" Sora responded as Carl furrowed.

"Yuya" Carl said which Yuya turn his head to Carl who shakes his head "we can't do anything right now, but I have a feeling that something unexpected he'll throw that not even us will know" he half lied which it seemed to be convincing to Yuya as he walks back to his seat and sits next to his secret boyfriend Carl sees the unsureness in Yuya's expression, snakingly Carl holds Yuya's hand and intertwining their fingers "I'm sure it must be nothing to worry too much, we know how Rise Falcon works... but I have a feeling that Sora knows what's he going to do" he then said which Yuya seemed to have calmed down and looks at Carl and smiled at him.

"I'm glad I confessed to you" Yuya said.

"Well practically I confessed first but you're the one who actually admitted your feelings first so is fair" Carl whispered back.

Yuya looked around and see that everyone was focused on the duelists in the arena and leans Carl closer to a kiss before pulling himself away "I love you" Yuya whispered.

Carl blushes and smiles "I-I love you too, Yuya" he said as they both laughed silently, little did they know they were spotted by their mothers.

Mari reaches a handout to Yoko "hand it over" she said.

"Goddamn it" Yoko cursed whispering while giving Mari money to the pink hair woman who smirked while counting the dollars.

-Meanwhile-

David was walking around the hallways still a bit sour about Declan's decision he 'You'd promise that we would talk about everything before making final decisions...did he forgot about that' David questioned before wiping his eyes and stops walking when he opens his eyes he sees a familiar teddy bear up to his face David looks over and sees his boyfriend adopted sibling Riley.

Riley is a short tomboy with pale skin, purplish light grey hair, and blue eyes, and she usually has a vacant expression on her face. She dresses simply, wearing a yellow and blue striped shirt, grey cargo pants that appeared to have been rolled up, blue sneakers with red shoelaces with most of the bottom being grey except for the toe vamp and toe cap which are white. The foxing is mostly grey except for 3 vertical blue stripes the bottom being grey except for the toe vamp and toe cap which are white. The foxing is mostly grey except for 3 vertical blue stripes over pale pink socks, and a turquoise hooded sweatshirt, with a black club on her left upper side. She keeps the hood up, despite also wearing a cap. Riley also wears a wide metal collar around her neck.

"he'll help you feel better Divi" she said to David. 

Divi(A/N: Pronounce Deevy) is a nickname Riley give to him since he got to know her through Declan the first time, she calls him that was that she mispronounced his name, Normally David gets angry at people mispronouncing his name, but Riley is the only exception, and he lets her call him that, David made sure that Riley is feeling warm around him despite lack of expression he could tell when she's enjoying something or not. Yes, David is aware of what Riley went through but she still a child and David believes that she still has time to live life like a kid her age.

David smiled and picked her up "Thanks Riley, but seeing you make me feel even better" he said before giving her and gentle squeeze hug in which he sees a small smile on Riley's face which made David smile brighter 'That's it...just a few baby steps' he said in his head.

"Divi...are you mad with Declan?" Riley decided to ask which that question caught him off guard for a moment but shakes his head.

"I'm over it already, Riley, let's say that Deedee is in trouble" he said as he puts her down and stays kneeled down to her level.

"you know...Declan couldn't sleep since before the tournament" Riley said, "and he's been saying stuff about missing his Dove I assume that he's talking about you, since he calls you 'Dove'" she added.

David tilted his head "Oh really?" he asked which the little tomboy nodded David nodded back and gets up "Come on, let's go see him together, kay? we don't want to make him worry" he then said.

"Okay..." Riley said bluntly before holding her teddy close with one hand and grabs David's hand with the other.

the two walk together to Declan's office's door before David feeling his duel disk buzzing as he pulls it out and sees Claude and picks it up "if is about Riley missing call of the search she's with me" he tells Declan's servant.

"Understood, and Mr. President want to see you and by the sound of it, I believe is necessary" Claude tell him.

David nodded "we're at the door, take care of yourself" he said.

"you too Divin" Claude said before hanging up.

David put his duel disk back in his back pocket and then looks at Riley who was staring at him the whole time since David answered Claude's call which they both walked in, and Declan look over and sees them and Declan gets up and runs up to Riley to check on her.

"Where were you?" He asked.

"I wanted to see Divi" she answered.

Declan then turns to David "Dove..."

David feels his heart skip a beat "I heard from Riley saying that you missed me" he said.

Declan looks down "I do..." he then gets up "I really do miss you... and I'm sorry, I should've talked to you about it, but I didn't know of how you would react to it, so I gave them the final word without consulting you about it" he said.

David sighed "I'm still mad at you, but I'm getting over it" he said.

Declan gets up from his seat and walks up to David and hugs him "I mean it David... I'm so sorry" he said.

David sighed and hugged Declan back "I forgive you" he said.

Declan then let's go of David "think you're interested in another date?" he asked.

The blonde male shrug "maybe...but I'm also down for others stuff" He said seductively.

"Oh really, you tell" Declan flirts back as he touches David's chin making him look up at him.

David chuckled "oh DeeDee as much as I love to explain to you in full detail, but we don't want to ruin Riley's innocence" he reminded Declan pointing at the girl behind him "Speaking of ruin, the duel's starting" David said pointing at the Monitor showing Sora and Declan facing each other in the Neo heartland city action field spell.

-at the duel-

"Let's duel" Sora and Shay shouted as the duel officially starts.

Sora: 4000
Shay: 4000

Carl watches Shay with surprisingly concern, he know that he should've been cheering for Sora, but something in him made him think otherwise 'Knowing Shay he wouldn't want anyone to worry about him too much, man whoever meets him they would be the luckiest person on earth' he thought as the action cards begins to disperse.

"The field is ready, the crowd is ready, and duelists are ready for the fourth magnificent match of the day, your fate is now in your hands" Nico comments.

"Then I'll start the show" Sora stated as he shows Shay a card "It's my pleasure to introduce a cuddly star direct from my hand Fluffal Bear!" Sora said as a pink stuff bear-like monster with white wings on its back appeared in the field.

Fluffal Bear: Atk/1200

"Cute" Sora hears the crowd stating about Fluffal bear.

"Just wait there's more if you think this one is cute just wait till you see what's coming next!" Sora stated "when Fluffal Bear is front and center, I can summon this little barnyard buddy to join it and since I have two, they're twice as nice, I'm summoning out two Fluffal Sheep!" Sora said as two sheep with orange mane and wings appeared in the field one on each side of Fluffal Bear.

Fluffal Sheep: Def/800

"I think the crowd's pretty happy with that now it's your turn Shay, make sure you summon out some real headliners" Sora said as he plays a Facedown card before it vanishes from sight "let's make this the funnest show anybody here ever seen" he finished.

at the stands Carl frown as Yuya noticed "Carl is something wrong?" he asked.

Carl looks at Yuya "well, nothing worth to worry much but I have a gut feeling that Declan's planning something that we're unaware of, and my gut feelings usually are never wrong" he lied.

Yuya nodded "I get what you mean... But we can't do anything about it right now" he said as he takes Carl's hand and holds it.

back the duel Shay frowns at Sora "the funnest show they've ever seen? The days of dueling for fun no longer exist for me and my friends, dueling's about survival" Shay said making Sora looked at him confusedly "the joy and happiness, the sound of people laughing, and it was all taken away that day replaced with a deafening silence nothing could've prepared us it happened too quickly" Shay continued in inner monologue as Sora couldn't pick up most of it "they just showed up they wreck our city changing our lives forever, the enemy took everything from us" Shay finished.

"What city? who is this enemy? I don't know what you're talking about" Sora said.

At the stands "Yeah Gong don't know either, don't make sense" Gong said

Carl sighed and since he had a theory about Sora being not who Yuya and the others think he is, but he can't tell them because at the same time he doesn't want to jump to the conclusion.

"But I do..." he muttered as he remembered the first incident with Julia.

Yuya looks at Carl "what does that mean?" he asked.

"I'm not a hundred percent sure yet, but maybe Dueling is more than just fun and games" he explained as Yuzu nodded agreeing with Carl.

"Way to bring the house down I summon three of the cutest monsters ever so I can get the crowd all jazzed up, and you come up like the world's biggest Debbie downer, man you're really a spoilsport, we're following two major duel here dude we gotta work hard if we're gonna top those, I can't do it alone" Sora tells Shay who's completely not buying the shorter boy's words.

"Teamwork was the only way we could survive" Shay said as he drew a card from the top of his deck.

'Here we go' Sora thought annoyingly.

"We stood true against the overwhelming odds but to no avail countless were taken on that dark day" Shay then said

"So, are you gonna duel or not?" Sora boredly asked.

"Oh, I'll duel alright, I summon Raidraptor Vanishing Lanius!" Shay responded.

Raidraptor Vanishing Lanius: Atk/1300

Yuya sees the monster "it's that same monster" Yuya stated as Carl nodded.

"Vanishing Lanius" the ravenette male said looking at Shay's monster slightly intimidated.

"Now time to battle Raidraptor Vanishing Lanius swoop in and take out his Fluffal Bear!" Shay yelled as his Raidraptor charges at Fluffal Bear for a attack which it hit.

Sora: 4000 - 3900

"Nice, but my bear's not gonna be gone for long, courtesy of my trap card Fluffal crane" Sora said as he takes Fluffal Bear card from the graveyard back to his hand "not only does it give my bear back, but it also lets me draw another card" Sora explains to the taller male as he draws a card from his deck "you better think fast Shay if you want to keep up" Sora then said with a wink.

"Oh, I'm not worry about that, I activate Raidraptor Symbol since my Raidraptor battled your monster I can add a Raidraptor to my hand" Shay then explained as he takes a card from his deck to his hand "and I choose another Raidraptor Vanishing Lanius, since I already summoned a Vanishing Lanius earlier in this turn this one will join it to the front line, but this time I summon it in defense mode" Shay explained as a Second Raidraptor Vanishing Lanius appeared to the field.

2nd Raidraptor Vanishing Lanius: Def/1600

"Well, you move fast, but it doesn't matter how many monsters you line up, I'm still gonna beat you" Sora said.

Shay places a card facedown "We'll just see about that; I end my turn" Shay said ending his turn.

"Well, the duelists have brought out two duel monsters with the same name looks like they're evenly matched, so far but they're just getting started, who know what will happened next" Nico comments as Shay looks at Sora dead in the eyes that he means business "the mighty matchup between Sora Perse vs Shay Obsidian has begun but which warrior will walk away the winner?" he then questioned.

"that's an easy one the winner's gonna wind up being whoever dueltains best, and I'll do whatever it takes to make sure that's me! now it's my turn" Sora said.

-meanwhile at Declan's office-

"Wow this Sora kid sure is confident despite having monsters with lower points than Shay's Raidraptors" David said "I wonder what's his next move be since he said it himself that is his turn?" he questioned as Riley looks up at the blonde male.

-at the duel-

Sora draws a card "Let's do this, first I summon a monster that sheer delight Edge Imp Sabres" Sora said

Edge Imp Sabres: Atk/1200

"This monster's special ability lets me swap a Fluffal monster on my field with a different Fluffal monster in my hand" Sora explained "Now watch what happens when my cute little lamb gets sheared" Sora then demonstrates as one of his Fluffal Sheep is replaced with Fluffal Bear

Fluffal Bear: Atk/1200

"Since Fluffal Sheep returned to my hand its special ability lets me draw a card from my deck and the card I got is the sweet spell Polymerization!" Sora stated as Shay tensed up hearing the certain spell card name.

Carl noticed it 'Shay, Yuto, Melo, and Lulu...you guys went through a lot of shit' he thought.

then out of nowhere lights were turned off and a spotlight were pointed at Sora "Ladies and Gentlemen is show time!"

"Sora's starting to act more like his teammate Yuya Sakaki!" Nico comments.

"The spotlight's his" Yuya said with a proud expression.

"You know I think he really looks up to you, Yuya" Yoko tells his son.

Carl smiles at this but couldn't help but feeing like there's something that he should be worried about.

"Give yourselves a hand duel-tastic crowd you deserve to witness my primo Fusion Summon, the real show starts right now! I'll begin by fusing Edge Imp Sabres with my Fluffal Bear, and with sharpness and fury of a bear when the two come together you better beware! I fusion summon, here it comes it's the most unbearable monster you've ever seen it truly is cut above the rest Frightfur Bear" Sora yelled.

Frightfur Bear: Atk/2200

"That monster really looks sharp" Skip stated.

"Shivers, this makes me want to cut a rug" Frederick stated as Carl sweat drops at that comment.

"Now, let's get on with the show! Frightfur Bear attack!" Sora said as his fusion monster charges at Raidraptor Vanishing Lanius and attacks it.

Shay: 4000 - 3100

"Frightfur Bear does so much more than just pummel and pound, it can equip itself with whatever monster it just destroyed, so now Vanishing Lanius' attack points get added to frightful bear" Sora explained.

Frightfur Bear: Atk/2200 → 3500

"I activate the trap Raidraptor return!" Shay shout as he activates his trap card. "Now the Raidraptor that was destroyed returns to my hand" he explained as Frightfur Bear's attack points return to its original number which surprised Sora and the rest of You show minus Carl.

Frightfur Bear: Atk/3500 → 2200

"That was too easy" Carl hears Allie saying.

"It was like he was waiting for that to happen" Tate stated.

"Gong does not like this guy one bit" Gong said.

"I guess I'd be disappointed if you didn't keep the show interesting, I placed one card face down, your move Shay" Sora said finishing his turn.

"What a performance these players are going at it toe to toe, blow to blow! as soon as Sora performs a masterful maneuver Shay turns the tables to even things back up" Nico comments.

"that's what you think, I don't think it's much of a duel so far" Sora said as he pulls out a lollipop out of nowhere and puts it in his mouth "I haven't even broken a sweat yet Shay's about as fierce as this lollipop" he added "then we've seen what I can do to a lollipop, I'm guessing beating you will taste a whole lot sweeter" Sora then said as Shay stares completely unbothered.

"Losing wasn't an option against an enemy with overwhelming power it took everything I had just to defend myself and pull through" he said as Sora and everyone else were confused "but without an organized resistance we struggled just to hang on even as our numbers shrank and hope faded, it was a desperate time, but we learned something important. If we wanted to stay free, we had to win!" Shay then said "Only the ones who held on, the ones with an absolute iron will to win had half a chance of making it through to duel another day!"

-Meanwhile somewhere else-

Melo and Yuto were watching Shay's Duel and Melo couldn't help but feel worried for his friend.

"Shay..." Melo muttered.

Yuto noticed his boyfriend's expression and hold his hand "he'll be alright, I promise" he assured the white and orange hair male.

Melo sighed "I hope you're right" he then said.

-back with Shay-

"You're about to get a demonstration of what I'm talking about of what it takes to win, because you Sora are about to lose!" Shay then stated before drawing a card and it's a third Vanishing Lanius card "prepare yourself because the end is coming, I summon Raidraptor Vanishing Lanius

2nd Raidraptor Vanishing Lanius: Atk/1300

"But I'm not yet, not in the least on the turn this card is successfully summoned, I can summon another Vanishing Lanius!" Shay explained.

3rd Raidraptor Vanishing Lanius: Atk/1300

'Here comes rise falcon' Carl thought.

'yeah' he hears all fortune Ladies saying at the same time.

"I overlay my three Laniuses to build the overlay network" Shay yelled.

The three Raidraptors turns into three spheres of purple light and flew down to a black and yellow blackhole and a pillar of blue light.

"from the shadows the falcon that soars on wings of courage talons ready for the rebellion! I Xyz summon witness the ascent of Raidraptor Rise Falcon!" Shay said.

Raid Raptor Rise Falcon: Atk/100

seeing the attack points caught Sora and everyone minus Yuya and Carl off guard.

"No doubt about it that's the same monster as before" Yuya stated.

Carl nodded in agreement "Raidraptor Rise Falcon" he said with a serious tone

Yuzu looked at Carl "You seemed like you know about that monster" she stated.

Carl looks back at the girl and nodded "Yes, Rise Falcon is one of those Monsters that are a definition of the tell "you can't judge a book by its cover", the number of attack points is something you shouldn't be worry about, but its special ability on the other hand... Sora better not let down his guard because it'll be the biggest mistake he'll make" Carl explained making You Show look at Sora with worry.

"This is what you come up with? you can't be serious?" Sora questioned.

Shay looks at Sora dead serious "deadly serious Raid Raptor Rise Falcon can attack each of your monster I said the end was coming and it's here" Shay tells Sora.

"you can attack all of my monster and it won't make any difference Shay, it only has a hundred attack points" Sora said

Carl facepalmed "he underestimated it" he said.

"Be careful Sora it's dangerous" Yuya warned the blue-hair boy.

"Yuya don't worry I know what I'm doing!" Sora said waving at the tomato boy

"I activate Rise Falcon's ability, by using one overlay unit it gains the attack points of every monster on your field" Shay explains as Rise Falcon gets surrounded by a fiery aura as it gains points

Raidraptor Rise Falcon: 100 → 2700

"That's a serious amount of attack points!" Sora stated.

"So, this is what Carl meant with not judging a book by its cover" Allie said from the stands.

"Sora's monsters are about to get shredded" Tate stated as everyone looks at the duel with concern and worry.

Carl sighed and looked down 'Yuya did warn him' he thought.

"Raidraptor Rise Falcon, attack with Ravishing rebellion!" Shay stated as Rise Falcon goes and attacks Sora's Monsters

Sora: 3900 - 3400

"Incredible! unbelievable Fluffal Sheep and Frightful Bear annihilated with a single attack; will Sora be able to stand up to this areal long slot?" Nico comment as Sora sits up.

"I place two cards face down and end my turn" Shay said as two cards appeared in front of Shay before vanishing from sight "Now my Rise Falcon's attack points returns to normal but the way you're playing that shouldn't' make a difference" he then said as Rise Falcon flies down above Shay.

Raidraptor Rise Falcon: 2700 → 100

"Looks like you finally figured out how to put on a show" Sora tells Shay as he kicks up "But you better get ready for some plot twist and I'm sure you won't like the ending" Sora then said.

"Shay's Arial slots has wiped all Sora's Monster's off his field; can Sora do anything to get back into this game?" Nico questioned.

Sora smirked "just watch me" he said as he drew a card from his deck "I think my Edge Imp Saw can cut the mustard" Sora said as he places a monster card on his duel disk.

Edge Imp Saw: Atk/500

"With this razor-sharp shredder out, I can send a Fluffal monster to the graveyard and I can draw two new cards" Sora explain while doing as he explained he looks at the two cards and nods "I activate the spell Fusion Conscription! I get a monster from my deck that I can use to fusion summon" Sora explained as he pulls out Fluffal Leo from his Deck and smirked 'this will bring the house to its feet and Shay to his knees' he thought.

Carls noticed the look on Sora's face 'What are you up to, Sora?' he thought as he sees Sora turning his attention to the audience.

"Now watch closely, uh I could use a spotlight over here, please" Sora said waving around and a spotlight spotted on the shorter boy "and here we go!" Sora said as he poses.

"This kid's a showman just like Sakaki" Nico said.

"He is like me" Yuya said.

"He picked a great role model Yuya" Yoko tells Yuya as Carls looks at the mother and Son with a small yet sad smile.

"Let's Manufacture a little Mayhem with the spell Frightfur Factory by banishing Polymerization from my graveyard, I've allowed to fusion summon another Frightfur monster so without further ado I'm going to fuse Edge Imp Saw and Fluffal Leo

Fluffal Leo: Atk/1600

"Charp as steel and ruler of the jungle when the two come together prepare to rumble! I fusion Summon, Frightfur Leo!" Sora yelled.

Frightfur Leo: 2400

Shay looks around before running off "It's Shay running off from this terrifying toy?"

"Huh Don't you want to play Shay?" Sora question mockingly.

"He's looking for an Action Card" Carl said as he sees Shay grabbing Rise Falcon by the talon as they both flew off.

Sora smirked "he won't get too far, not from Leo's special ability, it destroys your monster, and you take it's attack points as damage" Sora explains as glowing sharp wheels were fired at Rise Falcon who seemed to be trying to dodge them in the Process Shay noticed something shining and his eyes widen as he let's go of Rise Falcon and grabs a action spell card from a building's window.

"I activate the action spell Mirror Barrier to keep Rise Falcon safe and my life points secured" Shay explained as Rise Falcon flew below Shay who landed on his monster's back.

Frightfur Leo gets trapped in a bunch of mirrors as it roars.

"Leo's been caged like a wild animal" Tate stated from the stands.

"That means big trouble for Sora" Allie added.

"Talking about lucky shot" Carl muttered.

-Meanwhile at Declan's office-

"Shay obviously knows exactly what he's doing with his trap and spell cards, he's quite impressive" Claude said.

"True, because he reminded me of Carl's duel with Aura, they both seemed to have a full believe in their cards, regardless of the situation that they were in" David commented as he feels Riley holding his hand.

Claude then looked at Declan "Mr. president if I may where do you think Shay learned to duel with such precision and foresight?" he asked.

"Skills like his can only be developed under the most strenuous of circumstances, circumstances where your decisions affect the lives of those around you, and speaking of Carl, I can see that kind of skill as well" Declan explained which David nodded in agreement.

-back at the duel-

"Frightfur Leo, saw your way out!" Sora stated as his Frightfur Monster breaks out of its cage.

"I must say, Sora's Monster Certainly cutting the competition to the quick" Nico nervously commented.

Sora shrug with no care of the world "Sorry" he sarcastically apologized "but when Frightfur Leo does something it always creates a big buzz" Sora explained as Frightfur Leo is now facing Shay's Raidraptor Rise Falcon "And now my Leo's on the prowl again, your falcon's back on the lion's den" Sora then said as Shay sees this from his monster's back and frowns "I admit grabbing that action card to protect you and your monster was a nice try but there's no real protection from a monster that's all claws and socks" Sora continued "A Leo with twenty-four hundred attack points vs a bird with just one hundred means your wings are about to get clipped, Leo, claws on Raidraptor Rise Falcon!" Sora explained before claiming his fusion monster to attack Shay's Xyz monster.

"I activate the trap card, Adversity!" Shay yelled as one of his facedown cards rise up facing Sora's direction "Since your Leo has more attack points than Rise Falcon, this trap protects my monster and my life points once again" Shay explains as Leo hits Rise Falcon but the Xyz monster does not get destroyed "not only that My monster also gains an extra thousand attack points" Shay added.

Raidraptor Rise Falcon: Atk/100 → 1100

"No way!" Sora stated with shock.

"That was spectacular! Shay not only snatched his falcon from the sores of defeat he picked up some attack points in the process, tremendous trapping chain" Nico comment.

Sora's having a little tantrum "I'll bash that big turkey, Shay! but for now I end my turn!" he stated.

"Woah, Sora's not too happy" Yuya said from the stands.

"This is the first time I've ever seen him angry" Yuzu commented.

"Simmer down even if it burns you up you gotta keep your cool don't blow a gasket!" Skip yelled as Mari covered her ears for how loud he is and unfortunately, she's sitting next to him.

Carl sighed and looked around 'I have a feeling that there's got to be something Sora's not showing just yet' the ravenette male thought.

Sora waves at You Show "I know don't worry I just lost it for a second I'm fine now it's all good!" Sora assures them before turning to Shay with a glare and runs off.

Shay draws a card "Let's see how good you are after I activate Falcon's special ability, by using one overlay Unit it gains the attack points of your Frightfur Leo" Shay said.

Raidraptor Rise Falcon: Atk/1100 → 3500

"Rise Falcon attack Frightfur Leo" Shay yelled as Rise Falcon roar but before it could attack Sora Snatch a action card from a tree.

"Think again Shay, I play evasion to dodge your attack" Sora said.

"That won't work, because I activate the trap raptor storm, this trap stops your spell from activating so you're not evading anything your Leo's about to get blasted and so are you" he explained as Raidraptor attacked  Frightfur Leo sending Sora flying hissing his back hard on the ground.

Sora: 3400 - 2300 

Shay finishes his turn by placing two cards face down as Rise Falcon's attack points returns to normal.

Raidraptor Rise Falcon: Atk/3500 → 1100

"Sora are you alright?" Yuya asked the blue hair boy with concern.

Sora apparently didn't hear Yuya as he turns to Shay completely pissed off "You're really starting to bug me" he muttered "I've been too easy on you so far Shay, but now I'm taking the gloves off I'm taking this brawl to the wall" Sora said as he pulls out another lollipop, since he dropped the lollipop, he had earlier when he was sent flying and puts it in his mouth before unwrap the Lollipop with his mouth "let's get it on!" Sora yelled before he drew a card "First up I activate the spell card suture rebirth! which lets me stich my Fluffal Sheep back together so it's good as new!" Sora explained as Fluffal Sheep appeared to the field.

Fluffal Sheep: Def/800

"Then I activate the Frightfur Factory! by banishing fusion conscription from the graveyard, I'm allowed to fuse two of my monsters of my monsters chain of destruction, Wool warrior, when two come together to meet our superior, I fusion summon, presenting the heavyweight Champion sheep of chains, Frightfur Sheep!" Sora yelled as Fluffal sheep is replaced with a scarier version of itself.

Frightfur Sheep: Atk/2000

"When this bad boy attacks you, you can't activate your spell or trap cards, that really puts you up against the ropes" Sora explains "Go Frightfur Sheep, Attack Raidraptor Rise Falcon!" Sora chanted as Frightfur Sheep goes for a attack which it hit as Shay falls down from Rise falcon.

Shay: 3100 - 2200

Shay landed to the ground heroically "You think you out played me because you destroyed my monster, well you shouldn't bat yourself on the back yet, because you can't get rid of my birds that easily" he tells Sora who gasped with shock "I activate the spell card rank up magic raptor's force this spell ranks up the Rise Falcon you destroyed into an even more powerful monster" Shay explains as Rise Falcon reappeared to the field

Rise falcon then turns into a sphere of purple light and flew up to the dark cloudy sky and lightning were seen.

"Terror of the skies, Predator of blazing force with wings that slash and talons that tear, Go Rank up Xyz evolution!" Shay chanted "Rise up Raidraptor Blaze Falcon!" Shay yelled.

Raidraptor Blaze Falcon: Atk/1000

Sora looks up at the monster with widen eyes out of shock.

"Oh, Shay's taking this battle to new heights as he summoned a ferocious new Raidraptor!" Nico commented "Can he use it to soar over Sora and win this duel?" he then questioned as everyone were watching Sora and Shay's duel closely.

Sora chuckled "Slick move Shay, I underestimated you as an entertainer, you really know how to cook up the drama" he said before looking out at the crowd "And the crowd's obviously loving it" he added before looking back at Shay with a bit sadistic expression "I hate to admit this but I'm really loving it too" Sora then said.

'Is he finally starting to show his true colors?' Carl thought as he watches the two interact.

"Now is your turn in the spotlight, so let's see what you got, come on Shay, entertain me" Sora then said

"Entertain? I highly doubt you'll find destruction and defeat very entertaining" Shay responded before drawing a card "My turn!" he yelled "I activate my falcon's special ability! by using one overlay Unit it can destroy the monster on your field and you take five hundred points of damage for it" Shay explained as small red droid flies out of Blaze falcon and toward Frightfur Sheep.

"Now that's a special, special ability folks" Nico commented as the droids begins to fire beams at Frightfur Sheep.

"My trap card will stop that" Sora said as he activated his facedown card "Frightfur Defender! It doesn't just save my Frightfur Sheep it gives eight hundred extra attack points" Sora explained as a barrier surrounds Frightfur sheep and protect it from the droids' beams making them bounce off to random directions.

"The scrappy young Sora shuts Shay down once again and draws to a commanding advantage with that attack point power up!" Nico commented. As Everyone minus the duelists who are dueling, Carl from the stands, Declan, Riley, David, and Claude who are watching from Declan's office were shock at seeing the Action field being destroyed.

Frightfur Sheep: Atk/2000 → 2800

"I don't care how strong that sheep is. Blaze Falcon's special ability lets it attack you directly" Shay explained.

"Shay's turning up the heat and has Sora on the run!" Nico stated.

Sora runs around to find an action card but gets hit before he could do it making him crash to a building and the building begins to collapse.

Sora: 2300 - 1300

"Ah the Whole Building is collapsing! Look out!" Nico stated.

"Sora!" Yuya called for Sora as Carl frowned a bit, but he feels less jealous that he would of feel.

Sora looks up and sees that the building's about to collapse on him which he dodged hopping from stone to stone.

"Since Blaze Falcon dealt you damage it's special ability Destroys your Frightfur Sheep" Shay explained as Blaze Falcon fires missiles from its back.

"No way!" Sora said as he grabs a Action card "I activate the action spell mirror barrier, so my friend's gonna stick around safe and sound" Sora stated as Frightfur Sheep gets surrounded by another Barrier protecting it from being destroyed.

"Sora saves himself with an action spell, how very ironic that is the same spell Shay used before" Nico comments.

"I activate the trap! Raptor storm! You thought you protected yourself, but this gust is going to blow that spell away" Shay said as the Barrier disappeared, and Frightfur Sheep gets blown up.

"Another Shocker from Shay! this duel is like a seesaw too tight and slugging it out toe to toe, and the crowd is thrilled! except that little girl" Nico said as he looked around and noticed a little girl crying.

Shay looks at the remaining card he has in his hand "I place one card face down and end my turn" he said "I'm almost through with you but don't worry the worst is still to come, now you know what is like to be helpless like we were, helpless as you and your fusion friends launched a surprise attack on our home. The difference between us and you though, we always found a way to fight back even when the odds were stacked against us" Shay said which confuses everyone minus Carl.

"Shay's acting crazy, what's going on?"

"Yuya, I'm guessing that his home got invaded by people who uses the Fusion summoning method I guess is the reason why he holds a huge grudge against that Method" Carl said to Yuya as he walked up to him.

"W-What do you mean?" Yuya asked.

Carl shakes his head "If you want don't take my word literally, but I'm guessing that Shay is from somewhere else that we have zero knowledge about" Carl said "I'm saying not take my word literally because I could be wrong" he assures Yuya.

Yuya looks at Carl less confused but nods and looks back at the duel

Carl frown as he started to see's Sora's psychotic expression as he chuckled "You think I'm though? You think I'm one bit worried about losing to you? if you do, you're a bigger sucker than I thought you were" Sora said as he took a crunch of a bigger lollipop that he pulled out.

"Am I the only one who's wondering how the hell Sora doesn't get cavities after eating that many sweets?" Carl questioned.

"Poor Shay still thinking you have a chance, well here's a reality check" Sora said before taking the rest of the pop inside his mouth "Now you're going to lose it's the one thing you're good at, isn't that right, Shay? you were no match when we attacked you and you're no match for me, now!" Sora then said maniacally as Carl frown.

"Now's Sora's talking Crazy, what's going on between those two" Yuya looks at Carl "Carl?" he asked.

He sighed "I had a feeling that Sora might go crazy, but I didn't think he'll go this insane, probably because of he knows something about what Melo told me?" he said

"Melo?" Yuya questioned.

"Someone I met, and apparently he's a friend of Shay, I didn't understand what he was talking about in the fullest, but I kind of get that he mentioned something about not wanted our home to suffer the same fate as theirs, that's much that I could manage to understand, but I think what Melo told manage to tell me about has something to do with what Shay and Sora were talking about"

"You're saying that Sora might be involved with this supposed attack" Yuya questioned.

Carl shakes his head "I'm not sure until we hear it from Sora himself" he said.

"Let's play!" Sora stated as he drew a card "I activate the spell Frightfur fusion!" he said as he places a card to his disk "By banishing Frightfur Bear, Leo and Sheep, I can fusion summon and frightfully new Frightfur monster!" Sora explained.

"Fury of a bear, King of the Jungle, Sheep of chains when the three come together, victory is attained, I fusion summon! Come on out my mighty mashup Frightfur Chimera!" Sora yelled.

Frightfur Chimera: Atk/2800

"Ready? Frightfur Chimera, Attack Blaze Falcon!" Sora yelled as Frightfur Chimera fires a missile out of its mouth hitting Blaze Falcon as it exploded as Shay runs preventing from getting hurt.

Shay: 2200 - 400

"Chimera's special ability activates, the monster it destroys is summoned to my field to use anyway I, please!" Sora explained as Blaze Falcon reappeared in Sora's side of the field.

Raidraptor Blaze Falcon: Atk/1000

"And for every monster I take control of using this special ability, My Frightfur Chimera gains an additional three hundred attack points!

Frightfur Chimera: Atk/2800 → 3100

"You see, Shay? weaklings like you can't win, that's why you're so much fun to hunt down and destroy, always were always will be" Sora said

Carl walks down the stands as Yuya looks at Sora with shock "why's Sora's acting so mean" Yuya asked. 

"Because Sora's showing his true colors, I had a odd feeling when I first saw him, but I didn't want to jump to the conclusion in case I was wrong" Carl tells him.

"SHAY!" Shay looks back and his eyes widen a bit when he sees Carl looking at him.

"You..." Shay muttered.

"I still don't know what's the history between you guys, or what's gotten into Sora, but as much as it hurts me to say this...but kick his ass!" he stated as Sora's eyes widen with shock.

Yuya and the others were confused since they didn't quite catch on what Carl said to Shay. Shay slowly nodded at him and looks back at Sora.

Sora glares at Carl "Finishing you off by wiping you out with your own monster make things so much more entertaining, you only have four hundred life points left so if Blaze Falcon attacks you it will end this duel" Sora then said.

"No, it won't" Shay then said which caught Sora off guard.

"It won't?" Sora questioned.

"When you're forced to be a duelist fighting for its freedom, you learn to always prepare for any worst-case scenario, we even think about what to do if one of us is taken by the enemy" Shay said as Carl frown.

'I'm sure they're talking about when they took Lulu from them...they don't deserve what they went through' Carl thought.

-Meanwhile-

outside of the dome Yuto and Melo were walking together as they turn their heads and see Shay on the big screen "and there's one unbreakable rule, we never leave anyone behind we get our comrades back and that's what I plan do!" Shay stated.

"Shay, you show off" Melo muttered as Yuto chuckled at his boyfriend's cute pout.

-at the duel-

Sora seems to be angry hearing that while looking darkly at him.

"I activate the spell, Rank up Magic revolution force, it lets me get my Blaze Falcon back!" Shay explained as Blaze Falcon disappeared from Sora's side of the field and reappeared in Shay's.

Frightfur Chimera: Atk/3100 → 2800

"What!?" Sora questioned in disbelief.

"Now it ranks up to become an even stronger monster" Shat explained as Blaze Falcon gets surrounded by fire "Fiercest falcon, set your wings ablaze and lock your gaze on out ill-fated foe, now make it so, go Rank up Xyz evolution! Emerge Raidraptor Revolution Falcon!" Shay yelled as a new monster appeared above him.

Raidraptor Revolution Falcon: Atk/2000

-Meanwhile-

Declan looks at his adoptive sister.

"Watch him closely Riley if what I believe is true, he might be the key to helping us save our world" Declan said as Riley looked at her brother confusedly but looks back at the screen.

-at the duel-

Sora scoffs "Nice try Shay, but your bluff doesn't scare me not for a second, your monsters, only got two thousand attack points, My Frightfur Chimera got twenty-eight hundred attack points, so you can't destroy it"

"Sora did you learn nothing about this duel!? that not everything is about power by just the attack points, I even wondered if you're acting or you're really being that stupid!" Carl yelled at Sora making him Glare at the ravenette male.

"Says the one who's so oblivious that everyone know that you have Romantic feelings for Yuya, and Yuya feels the same, just come out already!" Sora yelled making Carl and Yuya take a back at his words Carl looks down for a moment.

Yuya shakes out of fear since Sora not just outed Carl but him too.

"Hey, Carl, right?" Carl looks up and see Shay looking at him "I appreciate that you see what I see, I understand why Melo have a lot of respect for you. Let me take care of the rest" he tells Carl who sighed and looks back at Sora who smiled maniacally at him.

"Kick. His. Ass" Carl said as his eyes pupils' flashes in purple light which Sora noticed and caught him off guard.

"With pleasure" Shay responded, "I activate Revolution Falcon's special ability, it destroys your monster, and you take damage equal half its attack points" Shay explained.

"Oh no!" Sora panicked.

"Go revolution Falcon! burn blaze towards the enemy!" Shay yelled as Revolution Falcon drop some explosives at Frightfur Chimera as Carl walks back up to Yuya who sees Carl.

Yuya runs up to Carl and hugs him tightly "this isn't how you should duel; dueling is supposed to make people happy, not scare them!" Yuya yelled while begins to tear up.

Carl sighed and hugs Yuya back "I'm sorry Yuya, but there are still things that you still unaware about dueling" he thought out loud.

Carl looks back at the duel as Sora was running around and sees an action Card which he caught it but it was already too late for him for as a building collapse on him. Carl gasps as Yuya tries to look, but Carl forces him to looks away

"Trust me Yuya, you don't want to see what happened" Carl said.

Sora: 1300 - 0

Nico comes out of hiding underneath the desk and sees that the screen shows that Shay's the winner.

"We have a winner this duel goes to Shay" Nico announced as the crowd was dead silent due to how intense the duel itself was.

Carl couldn't blame them he would be as shock at them if he was in their position, he then noticed Shay walking up to Sora he lets go of Yuya and run up to the field and jumps off and lands in between them and places a hand on Shay's chest.

"Shay... I still don't understand in full detail on what's going on with the two of you... but let me say this in based on what I did managed to understand... I'm so sorry for what you, Yuto, Lulu, and Melo had to go through, you guys don't deserved it" Carl tells the slight taller male with a empathetic expression which caught Shay off guard "I recommend you not commit any further action, even if Sora deserves it, this is not the place or the time to do so" Carl added.

Shay hears his duel disk beeping and picks up a call "Carl's right, Shay; our goal is to obtain information and that is what I intend to do, I'll see to it that he tells u everything he knows about our enemies, especially duel Academy, Carl Carmine, if you're hearing this...David said hi" Declan's voice was heard from the other line of the call.

Shay and Carl look at each other as Carl leans to the duel disk "send him a hello as well" Carl said as he picks up the unconscious Sora "I'll take care of him from here, you go" he said as he walks off with Sora in his arms.

Shay looks at Carl in amaze 'If only there was someone like him in my life' he thought as he leaves 'Who ever that Yuya is...is so lucky' he added.
