Run away part 2

This is a second part to the run away one-shot, but this time there is a twist... They have magic Btw the song is battle scars acoustic by paradise fears

Virgil was once again tackled by the purple haired boy, the both laughed as a group of 4 kids came and decided it was a good idea to dog pile on Virgil.

"Hey Virge" a small girl said walking up to where Virgil was sprawled across the floor. "Wassup" Virgil replied angling his head to get a better look at the girl. "Do you think we could all go flying?" The girl asked rubbing her hands together, looking nervous.

"Why of course dearie, but first I gotta get out of this dog pile" virgil said attempting to move out of the pile, but failing miserably.

"Virgil said he would take us flying if you get off him!" The girl yelled.

Almost immediately the children hopped off and pulled Virgil to his feet.

An array of "common" and "hurry up" was heard from the small children.

"Alright alright I'm coming" Virgil said shaking his head fondly.

With the others

"What do they mean hes gonna take them flying" Patton said turning to the other two.

"I believe he is going to use his powers to make the children 'fly' I do not know how though, I thought I was the only one with telekinesis." The logical trait said, pushing up his glasses.

"Well, what are we waiting for let's go find out." Roman said following the parade of kids.

With Virgil and his entourage of children.

"Now, Time for the magic" Virgil mutters to himself "a bit of a show and a lesson" Virgil said brushing his hair out of his face.

A group of adults were gathered at the park, where there was a cliff that lead to a giant glistening lake at the bottom.
Patton, Logan, and Roman decide it would be best to not stand out and simply joined the crowd

"Common ya little gremlins, come gather around" Virgil said waving his arms as the children gathered around him.

"Alrighty then, you know the trade off, a bit of a show for the grown ups, a little lesson for you and a little bit of magic ....ARE YOU READY" Virgil said hyping up the children

"YEAH!" The children screeched in response.

This is an an-them for the homesick,
For the beaten,
The lost, the broke, the defeated.

Virgil said pointing to a few diffrent kids

A song for the heartsick,
For the standbys...
Living life, in the shadow, of goodbye.

Virgil continued to gesture to some of the kids smiling at them

Do you remember when we learned how to fly?
We'd play make-believe;
We were young and had time on our side.

You're stuck, on the ground.
Got lost, can't be found.
Just remember that you're still alive...

Virgil tilted his head and smiled fondly at the children

I'll carry you home...
No, you're not, alone...
Keep marching on,
This. Is. Worth. Fighting for.
You know we've, all got battle scars...

The children, knowing a show must be put on began to dance to beat and turned to the adults

You've had enough...
But just don't, give up...
Stick to your guns,
You. Are. Worth. Fighting for.
You know we've, all got battle scars.
Keep marching on...

The children formed a circle around Virgil as they grabbed each others hands and began to dance.

This is a call to the soldiers,
The fighters,
The young, the innocent, and righteous.

We've got a little room to grow,
Better days are near...
Hope, is so much stronger than fear.

if you jump, kid, don't be scared to fall.
We'll be kings and queens in this dream, all for one, one for all.

Virgil raised his hand in the air, the children soon following

You can light up the dark,
There's a fire in your heart,
Burner brighter than ever before.

I'll carry you home...
No, you're not alone...
Keep marching on,
This. Is. Worth. Fighting for.
You know we've, all got battle scars...

As Virgil removed his jacket and gently folded it putting it to the side, wings sprouted from his back, having taken off the jacket his arms displayed a myriad of cuts and scars, some old and some new. The children began to make two lines, about two feet apart from each other, and enough room in between for Virgil to get through each of them smiling and shedding their jackets, displaying their own scars, whether it be from a razor or a horrible accident, they were not ashamed of it, cause they knew they were not alone.

You've had enough...
But just don't, give up...
Stick to your guns,
You. Are. Worth. Fighting for.
You know we've, all got battle scars...
Keep marching on...

On and on,
Like we're living on a broken record.
Hope is strong,
But misery's a little quicker.

Sit, and we wait, and we drown there
Thinking, "Why bother play when it's unfair?"

Virgil smiles sadly

They say life's a waste,
I say they lack belief.
They tell me luck will travel,
I tell 'em that's why I've got feet.
Left, right, left, right
Moving along to the pulse of a heartbeat.

The children began walking towards Virgil in step with the beat as Virgil did the same from the other side.

This could be the last chance you have to fly.
Do you like the ground?
Want it to pass you by?
Man, you had it all when you were just kid.
Do you even remember,
Who you were back then?

What do you want in life?
Will you be twice as strong?
What would you sacrifice?
What are you waiting on?
Don't. Stop. March. On.

Virgil ran at the kids and began tapping their backs as his hands glowed purple, a pair of wings sprouted from each child's back and they began to ran at the cliff, jumping off

I'll carry you home...
No, you're not alone...
Keep marching on,
This. is. worth. fighting for.
You know we've all got battle scars...

You've had enough...
But just don't give up...
Stick to your guns,
You. Are. Worth. Fighting for.
You know we've, all got battle scars.
Keep marching on.

Virgil turned and ran with the last few kids jumping off of the cliff with them, arms open wide as he dove down the cliff.

A few adults, including the logical, creative, and empathetic traits, gasped when they jumped.
A few adults laughed and shook their head fondly telling the ones that gasped "its no problem, they do this everytime, it's just a little performance they like to do for us old folk"

Keep marching on

As the song finished whoops and cheers were heard from beyond the cliff.
Virgil and a few children soon rocket upwards before going on their backs as they once again plummeted off the cliff, a faint splash was heard along with cheers and giggles.

The adults content with entrusting Virgil with the children of the town, left with a smile on their face.

They all loved Virgil and would do anything to help, defend, and protect him, against any foe, troubles he may face or his own mind hurting him...no matter the price.
