Tw: slight swearing

He needed it, he had to have it It was the last thing she gave him.

Virgil's mother had given him that necklace right before she died, and someone had stolen it. Luckily he knew pretty much everyone in the Darkside, so when the crook tried to pawn it off, the shop owner quickly apprehended him and called Virgil.

So he was going to venture into the Darkside, it would be fun, he could visit friends, beat up some crooks, go shopping. Sadly Logan found out he was going, so he told Patton, who told Roman, and now the whole group was going.

And now Virgil was giving them a talk.

"Alright, I need all of you to stay close to me, no matter what. The Darkside is nothing like here, they do things differently, and most of them don't really like you guys." Virgil stated.

"Wh-" patton started to say.

"Besides you Patton." Virgil interrupted.

" oh, ok" Patton said, now happy again.

Virgil sighed, this was gonna take awhile.

"Okay, listen up, The Darkside is much different than here, we actually have other minor sides, who all live in a small town right outside the main side estates."

"Wait, wait, wait, wait wait, hold up, are you saying you guys are practically princes over there?!" Roman exclaimed, clearly jealous over the fact that his brother is more of a prince than him.

Virgil laughed dryly, " I mean, I guess, but its more like we are the families that knows everyone, and is somehow popular despite how strange we are, like, uhm, I guess you could say we are like the Adams Family." Virgil said shrugging.

"Aww thats adorable kiddo" Patton smiled.

Logan frowned thinking "I thought the Virgil hated the darksides, they seemed rather hostile the last time they met, though i suppose there could have been a strange sort of kinship between Virgil and Remus"

" Okay first things first, we need to fix...that" he gestured to them.

"You just pointed to all of me" Roman responded. (U get a shout out if ur the first 5 ppl to get the referance)

"Exactly, we need less.. all of you" Virgil sighed. This was gonna take awhile.

'Alrighty now to start on their outfits' Virgil thought, placing a hand on his chin thinking of a way to change their outfits to blend more with the aesthetics of the Darkside.

"Alrighty this should do" Virgil snapped a purple smoke encasing over the other sides.

As the smoke dissipated Logan waved a hand in front of his face to clear it faster.

As he was the tallest you could see his outfit first, his hair was slightly more disheveled but remained relatively slicked back.

His tie was nowhere to be seen, and a slew buttons were open, his pants where now ripped blue jeans.

Roman the second tallest, no longer had his regular royal outfit, a deep red button up with the top 3 buttons undone at the top, once more a pair of ripped black jeans, his shirt was tucked in on one side the other is untucked giving him a rebellious look.

Patton, the cute bean he is, changed his look extremely. His cat cardigan was now being worn, it was a bit more of a crop top, but he rocked it anyways especially when paired with a pair of dark blue high waisted pants.

Virgil changed the most, his usual jacket, now left open to show a light purple crop top, fishnets showing from underneath, His usual black ripped jeans now had spider web stockings showing from under the large holes next to his thighs, knees and shins. And on his feet, were a killer pair of purple and silver heels, fit for someone ready to take over the world, kill god, and stomp a racist, all while sashay-ing down a red carpet. (Sorry I couldnt resist)

"Hmm, that should work for now" he hummed

"Are you kidding??" Roman yelled, casing the other sides to raise an eyebrow

"How come you get a killer pair of heels?!"

Virgil dead panned.
"Have you ever actually worn a pair of stilettos?" Virgil inquired.

"Well, no, but I bet I could rock them." Roman shot back

"I'm sure you could princey, after breaking an ankle on the way." Virgil rolled his eyes

"I can teach you how to not break something when we get back, at the moment, I am in a rush to go jacobi's" (From the newsies musical that I just crewed for)

"If I may ask, what is Jacobi's?" Logan asked combing his fingers through his hair.

"Uuh, dont worry about it." Virgil said turning around quickly and beginning to walk to the door.
"Let's get on the road, we'll have to cross the border"

"Okay, here  are the rules
1.Dont make eye contact, unless of course you want to start a fight
2. Dont take the drinks offered, we have specific ones that you have build an immunity to, or else you'll have a really rough night.
And finally
3. Stay with me, and pretty much agree with what I say."

Virgil told the light sides.

"Fine"
"Okie dokie"
"Very well"

"Now when we pass over the border, certain aspects of your appearance  will change, they shouldn't be much for you, but itll be drastic for me, fair warning"

The others looked between themselves shrugging.

They started towards the portal, Patton going first, followed by Roman and Logan, going last was Virgil.
Patton's hair turned blonde, Roman's became, not surprisingly, red
With Logan's turning a dark blue.

As Virgil stepped through his hair changed, going from his usual dark brown almost black, to a vibrant purple that got lighter at the tips. His usual smugged eyeshadow changing to a wicked eyeliner, with black, green, gold and purple gems lining his eyes.
His pupils turning from his usual brown to heterochromia blue and green. His lips, now a bold black. And chains falling from his ears and connecting back to the top.

Virgil smiled sheepishly as he let the others get used to his new look.

" Okay, this is officially not fair, you get earings, gems, and eyeliner, so upsetting."
Roman said breaking the awkward silence.

"You look neato kiddo."

"While this is a stark difference, I can't say it doesn't fit you."

"Uh, thanks, so let's get going then." Virgil panicked slightly

'Gosh this is embarrassing, just end me now' virgil thought

A few guards sitting on the outskirts of the town, guarding the entrance chatting and teasing with each other caught sight  of the group first.

"Oh my goddess, is that Virgil?" One of the younger guards yelled, standing at attention

"S-sir, I-it's an honor to meet you, my name is gabriel, and I am new to the ygdrasil regime, a-and I am here to protect the people to the best of my abilities." The young knight bowed, face burning and heart hammering.

2 of the other guards lined up next to Gabriel and bowed aswell, the eldest guard laughing as Virgil started waving his hands in front of him trying to get them to stand back up.

"Thetus stop it" Virgil whined.

"Sir Virgil, prince of darkness, ender of the eternal summer, moonlight of the dark, glittering stars of the eternal night, and slayer of the easter fairy, Welcome home."
Thetus said sweeping into a bow before standing again.

"Oh my goddess, I thought you were going to stop doing that when we got older." Virgil cried.

"Oh, never M'Lord, you shall forever be my little arachnid prince."  Thetus spoke, making the other knights drop their mouths And the light sides widen their eyes.

"Pfft, whatever you say Uncle The" (like theo, but without the o) Virgil snarked making the old knight smile before dragging him into a hug.

"Good to see ya kiddo, I'm sure the kids miss ya, and I definitely know that Rey misses his dance partner."

"Yeah, I'll be staying for a bit, possibly a few nights so I can attend the festival, but some thief stole mother's necklace, so I have to go to Jacobi's first and grab it."
Virgil said smiling lightly.

"Oh ho ho, I'm betting that crook is getting a major punishment from jay right about now." The knight laughed.

"I hope so, otherwise imma have'ta bop his ass." Virgil said, nudging his uncle.

"Damn, just itching  for a fight arent we now sprout."

"Are you kidding? I havent had a good brawl for months."

The two laughed, Thetus waved them off as they left, the light sides left confused, with no answers as to what the hell just happened.

The group left for the town, following after Virgil who was humming a song, having no clue what was in store for them.
