Chapter 19
It seemed longer than most days as the month of October in general was winding down slowly into our day to wed, and I was excited. But today, seemed particularly slow. I had ran 4 miles one way. 4 miles jogging back and of course me being me, went for another 2 miles later on. Feeling a bit extra lonely on my day off. I loved running in the falling months. The air was crisp and it contained a bit of a chill. Leaving you to sweat less, and feel a bit more stamina from the breezes cooling you down.
It was 12:42 in the morning when Louis came out of his bedroom. Hair disheveled, and pajama bottoms low on his hips. His shoulder slipping out of the neckline of one of my shirts. And rubbing his eyes, he entered my bedroom and stared at me. Of course, catching me by surprise as well.
"H-Hazzy?" He mumbled. I looked up at him, furrowing my eyebrows as to question why he was awake.
"Hey cupcake. I thought you were sleeping with Peanut?" He shrugged shifting his weight back in forth on his tiny feet.
"He let me sleep on him." I smiled, sitting up and muting the telly. "But he moved and I almost dropped off the bed." I chuckled.
"Come here." I waved. He quickly padded his way over to the bed, lifting up the covers and burying himself into my side. "Nightmares didn't get you tonight?" He shook his head slowly. "It's okay babe, we all have nightmares."
"Mmm..." He hummed. "Maybe?" He stated questionably. I threaded my fingers in his fringe pushing it back on his forehead.
"You can tell me." He huffed.
"It was a nightmare you left." He muttered bringing his thumb to his mouth and knawing on the side. "It wasn't fun you left and we didn't get married and you never came back and I woke myself up cause I knew if I didn't I'd watch myself die alone. And you married Cara." I cocked a brow at him.
"The model?" He nodded slipping his thumb into his mouth a bit. He really is too old for that, but it's a nervous habit for nightmares. "Mmm what a babe." I teased. He whimpered quietly to which I chuckled. "But not as much of a babe as you lovey." His lips quirked up as I pulled him by the waist. Causing him to roll into my lap.
"Not a babe Hazzy." I gasped dramatically.
"Not A- Louis have you looked at yourself sweetheart." He nodded.
"And I'm fat and weird." I shook my head.
"Oh no no no don't you dare say that baby." I stated kissing his forehead and lowering my hand to rub circles in his tummy. "You are not fat at all. Just a tiny little tummy that shows you're healthy." He frowned.
"I Hate tummies. Why can't I have abs like you?" I sighed.
"Would you like to do a hundred sit ups a day? Or lift as much as I weigh? Or run 2 miles a day? And do fast feet and blah blah blah I don't even know my work out routine." He giggled, music to my ears. "The point is sweetheart, all that stuff is stupid. And I do that to my body because well... I have to. And your thighs and your tummy are extra pretty." He smiled shyly.
"But they are big."
"Yeah cause what do you play out in the yard poppet?"
"Football." We answered in unison.
"See? You get those thighs and bum from working out too. Just your legs get more muscle and my arms and stomach get more muscle cause that's what I work on. Okay?"
"Okay." I smiled tickling his sides.
"That wasn't very assuring." He squealed and giggled as my hands showed to mercy.
"Okay!"
"There we go!" I cheered stopping my movements. "Now give your fiancé a kiss would you?" He giggled happily, sitting on my thighs and pressing his lips to mine for a few lovely seconds before sighing. He pressed his forehead to mine, before I tilted my head up and pecked it quickly. His blue eyes stared at my forest ones.
"I get to marry you in less than a month." He whispered.
"Scary isn't it?" I chuckled after my words. "Got our suits. Got our honeymoon all set. Got our guests. Got our reception all pretty and happy and silver and white like we agreed on."
"With a touch of blue." He added.
"That's right touch of blue. All we really need is the cake, but that's not really a problem. And a first dance song." He nodded into my collarbone.
"Hazzy?" I hummed back at him. "Please don't be that guy who does that surprise dance sequence at the wedding." I laughed at that.
"Shit, guess I better stop all my classes. My mum will be so disappointed." He giggled. "It was gonna be on MTV and the news and-"
"You're so silly." He giggled. I smiled at him. My soon to be husband.
"I know. But you love me." He nodded.
"Yeah I do. I really really do." I pressed my lips to his hair, rubbing the small of his back and dipping a tiny bit lower. "Hazzy... What are you doing?" He asked timidly.
"Nothing." I replied. He stared up at me, big and blue.
"That's my bum Harry. It's not just 'nothing'." He said mocking my voice. I grinned.
"That's not how I talk." He scoffed.
"Is too how you talk. It's all deep and I swear if you move one-" He let out a tiny, tiny moan as I moved my hand a tiny bit.
"You were saying baby boy?" He stared at me. "Couldn't help myself sorry." He shook his head.
"It's okay. " He murmured quietly.
"Just got such a pretty bum." I excused kissing his temple.
"Your bum is cute though." He whispered.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah." He sat on my thighs once again, locking our mouths for what seemed like hours on end. The bad part? We don't know who fell asleep first.

Days passed by once more and running became more and more of a stress outlet for me. Counting down the days until I was officially off the market. Completely. Forever. But it seemed Harder on Louis' part than anything.
In the few public appearances we made, we had basically been chased down. Louis got tripped and nearly fell face down and I swore at paps twice. It wasn't much of a fair term either. Louis and I had been going out on dates and such. Picking up reception items and looking at flowers at nearby florist. I'd take him out to dinner. (Our most recent date was an aquarium.) It was all in good fun. Anyways on our most recent trip on the town, we had been walking home. Hand in hand. Louis was carrying a bag and we were heading to the tube, then some woman asked to take a picture. (I said yes of course) and she apologized for interrupting our date. Louis was too obsessed with his turtle plushie anyways. Then paps poured in. And clicks and flashes made Louis jump and tug all over my arm. And at one point, I just grabbed him and ran. And since I run faster, I carried him. Which didn't work to well with the stirring food in my stomach which was close to making a reappearance not soon after.
Now I lean against the door frame of our bedroom. Watching Louis snap under exam pressure. His exams had to be taken early due to the fact he would be exchanging his vows when kids in class would be handing in essays and tests and horrible terrible things that involved the importance of cells. A 30 page essay on Latin and how it originated half of the world's language or something like that. I strode to the bed, sitting on my heels and wrapping my arms around his shoulders.
"Baby? Baby relax." A wrecked whimper fell from his lips.
"I can't relax this is due on Friday!" He shot back. I placed a kiss on the back of his neck.
"I know. No need to get your knickers in a twist about it." He sighed. "What's it today?"
"Latin essay. Geographical era. I don't get why I even have to do this, don't we do this in high school?" I hummed against his skin. Skimming kisses on every tense area.
"Yeah. But maybe they just want you to do it again... Maybe." He glanced at me.
"It's drama Harry. Dramatic Arts and they want me to do a Latin history report." His shoulders tensed and I dug my thumbs into the muscle.
"I know. I know. But it shouldn't be that hard right?" He glared at me. His blue eyes not so soft. "Guessing that's a yes?"
"How is it you don't go to college and end up all big and I'm in year 3 and still having regular panic attacks." He brought his thumb to his lips gnawing nervously on the skin.
"Oi! I know what will make you feel better!" He eyed me with little hope and a small forced grin. "Wedding stuff!" I stated happily grasping the MacBook off my desk
"Oh joy." He muttered plopping into my lap. I circled my hand around his knee, opening the laptop.
"You love it! Hush hush." He nuzzled into my neck as I typed up a few of the sappiest songs I'd heard in a while. "So we have the classic L.O.V.E, and then others that I don't have enough patience to say." He laughed.
"A thousand years... Everything has changed is pretty." I nodded.
"Ed 's nice." He paused staring at me in shock. "Wha?"
"'Ed's nice'? Really? Really Hazzy?" I cackled at Louis point, before getting up and pulling him up with me.
"You know how to dance right." He smiled wide.
"Yes. Do you Donald Duck?" I licked his nose teasingly making him grimace. "Gross bleh." I obnoxiously kissed his forehead next before taking his little hand in mine. Spinning him slightly and resting a hand on his waist.
"Classy or cringeworthy?" I asked him with a stupid grin.
"Both." He giggled laying his head on my shoulder. "So are we gonna do this all the time or...-" I grinned.
"Yeah if you want. Slow dance in a burning room"
"Fire's not your best subject based on all your burns." He finished his sentence with a giggle. He traced lines into my skin, kissing the inside of my neck.
"Any calmer?" He nodded. "Good.... hasn't been too great seeing you pick yourself apart in school." I pressed my Palm to his side, kneeding the flesh softly.
"School is just... bad." I kissed his forehead. "Just notes then they give you tests. not fun." He attempted to continue talking until my mouth travelled lower toward his neck. "Mm ha... Y-You really shouldn't-" He gasped as I sucked a spot in his neck and his hand found my curls. "Hazzy... You give me enough love bites. I have to do this." I pecked his lips.
"Do you really want me to stop?" The 19 year old bit his lip, shaking his head.
"I'd rather... umm something else? Maybe?" And I may or may not have flipped him like a rag doll on our bed and snogged the he'll out of him. And he may or may not have given me head.

It was a week before the wedding and I was scheduled to go to New York until 4 days before my vow exchange at the altar. Of course, Louis was aware of it. And of course, he was bit upset as well.
I awoke on Saturday, an empty right side of the bed and a black kitten by my feet. I got up, padding my way into the kitchen finding my 19 year old fiancé with vigorous bed head, his head on a pitbull's back and drinking a patch of tea in my jumper.
"Hey." I grumbled, sleepily rubbing my eyes.
"Morning Hazzy." I walled over to the couch, sitting beside him, instantly getting his legs thrown into my lap.
"Sleep well?" he shook his head. "Whatcha watching?" I quizzed.
"Elf." I chuckled.
"You and your Christmas movies." He smiled adjusting the black frames on his face, rubbing his glazed morning eyes, grasping a white object and pulling it to his chest. "What've you got here lovey?"
"Lammy." I smiled rubbing his leg.
"Your Lammy?" He nodded. "The Lammy I gave you?" He nodded once more, slurping down his tea.
"Mmhm."
"Mmhm." I mocked. He sat up quickly, his fringe flying. Naturally, I pushed it back. "Feel alright?" He shrugged. "Nightmares get you again?" He nodded.
"I have to many of em." I kissed his forehead.
"Is that why you got your Lamb?" He stared down at the plush toy. Soft white curls and a pink ribbon round it's neck.
"Well... Well yeah." I rubbed his arm.
"Love, it's okay. You can tell me. I'm not gonna judge you for it." He sighed pulling his limbs close to him and bunching up in a ball.
"Why do people at school hate me Hazzy?" I eyed him with sympathy.
"I... Baby they don't hate you. Nobody can ever hate you."
"It's cause I'm stupid right? Cause I'm not like you?" My mouth dropped open, but nothing came out.
"Lou. Sweetheart? You are not stupid. You have never been stupid. If you were stupid, you wouldn't be in college." He frowned.
"Cause I just haveta write. Anyone can write smart." He gripped his lamb. "It's cause I still suck my thumb when I'm lonely and stutter when I'm not around you and cause... cause I don't do things other boys do right?" I sighed.
"People are different. And I love your different parts." He shook his head, resting it on my collarbone.
"Sometimes I wonder why you stay." He whispered. And in that very moment my heart shattered, and I was very afraid to go to New York.
