Chapter 3 : Dei... Long Time No See

"It's too late to apologize!"~Three

*Time skip*

Three's P.O.V.

"Don't tell me that you've never seen a wolf before." I stated.

They can't stop staring at Pyro! It's getting annoying...

"Well, this is the first wolf I've ever seen." Sharky answered. Pyro growled in annoyance.

I sighed. "Then stop staring at Pyro." I told them.

They nodded slowly. We walked in silence for hours.

Then they stopped in front of a big cave.

They made some handsigns and we entered the hideout.

The Uchiha led me into a room. He knocked.

"Enter." a voice called from inside.

Itachi opened the door, and we walked in.

"You're dismissed." the man behind the desk told Weasel.

After the emo-boy left the room, the piercing-man turned his head towards me.

"The Shadow Hunter, I assumed?" he started.

I nodded slowly.

"Nagato. Known as Pein, the leader of Akatsuki." I stated.

His eyes widened in shock. I smirked behind my mask.

"I'm surprised that the famous Shadow Hunter know my real name." He told me.

"I know a lot of things about this organization." I answered.

"Would you like to join the Akatsuki?" he asked.

I nodded. "But I want to make some deal." I told him.

"Shoot."

"First, I don't want to wear your cloak. Second, I won't help you in the extraction part. Third, I don't want to share a room with anyone. Fourth, if you need my help, you have to follow my rules. Fifth, sometimes I have to go to my hideout, and you have to let me do it." I finished.

He nodded. "Deal. Welcome to the Akatsuki. Here's your ring and your cloak. There's no spare room yet, so you have to use the other member's rooms for a few weeks." he told me as he gave me a ring and some cloaks.

I won't wear the cloaks. But i like the ring. It has the kanji of 'shadow' on it.

I put the ring on, and walked out of the room.

Then I met a blue-haired woman.

"Hello! I'm Konan. You must be the Shadow Hunter, our new member, right? Leader-sama told me to introduce you to the other members." she said.

"Alright." I told her.

We walked towards the living room.

It's crazy.

Itachi is sitting in the corner, reading a book. Well, that's normal.

On the couch, Kisame is watching a shark eating humans on TV.

A man with 3-bladed-scythe on his back is cursing loudly while bickering with a bounty hunter, which I recognize immediately. It's Kakuzu.

A man with venus flytrap on his head is arguing with himself.

And a man with swirly mask is running around the room while yelling stupid things.

Konan rubbed her forehead in annoyance.

"Guys..." she called.

The craziness didn't stop.

"Guys..." she tried a bit louder.

They ignored her.

An irk mark appeared on her forehead.

She cleared her throat.

"ATTENTION!" she yelled.

Everyone fell silent.

"Good." she mumbled.

"Guys, this is our new member, the Shadow Hunter, and..." she trailed off, taking a glance at Pyro.

"I'm Pyro." he grumbled.

"Okay!" she clasped her hands together, "Now introduce yourself!" she told the other members.

"I'm Kisame, and he's Itachi." Sharky said lazily, pointing at the weasel.

"Kakuzu." the masked man said while counting his money.

"My name is fucking Hidan." the Jashinist told me.

"We're Zetsu." the aloevera said.

"TOBI'S NAME IS TOBI! AND TOBI IS A GOOD BOY!" the lollipop guy yelled. Pyro growled.

"There's 2 other members, but they are currently in a mission. They should be back soon." Konan told me. I nodded.

Then the hideout entrance was opened.

"We're back, un!" a man yelled.

Un? That catchphrase.....

Wait. Don't tell me that it's him.

The first one is a 15 years old boy with red hair and hazel eyes.

Wait. Scratch that. He's Sasori no Akasuna. He's a puppet, so he must be older than his appearance.

"He's our new member," Konan introduced me, "the Shadow Hunter."

"I'm Sasori." he said.

The second one walked in.

A boy with blonde hair, blue eyes.

Pyro growled.

"I'm Deidara, un." he introduced himself.

"I know that." I snapped.

Pyro showed his fangs. Zeiko jumped out of my body.

Then, both of them attacked Deidara.

Deidara's P.O.V.

2 wolves began to attack me.

A white wolf and a black wolf.

"Where were you all these years?!" The white one yelled.

"You broke your promise. You liar!" The black one shouted.

They tackled me to the ground, growling angrily at me.

The other members were just going to help me when the Shadow Hunter put his hand up and said, "Wait."

"Pyro, Zeiko, let him go. This won't fix anything." he commanded.

Pyro? Zeiko? That names sound... familiar.

The w0lves get themselves off me.

"You don't remember, do you?" The white one asked me, a little bit softer than before.

I nodded slowly.

The black one let out a heavy sigh, saying, "Fine then. But you will remember soon. And not in a good way."

I furrowed my eyebrows at his statement.

"Dei, do you recognize me?" the Shadow Hunter asked slowly.

"W-what do you mean? I've never meet you before." I answered.

He sighed. "Really, Dei-kun? Do I have to open my cloak?"

Dei-kun? Why did he called me that?

"You saved my life, remember. You were my best friend." he continued.

I shook my head, "Sorry, I don't understand what are you talking about." I told him.

He opened his cloak slowly, while looking down at the ground.

Damn. This is unbelievable.

The Shadow Hunter is a GIRL!

She grabbed her mask, and throw it away.

There's a pair of grey wolf ears on her head, between her black hair. A grey wolf tail was swaying roughly on her body.

I swear I saw tears falling down from her eyes.

Then she looked up, landing her eyes on mine.

She clenched her fists, blood dripping down from them.

Her body is shaking.

It's Three. My childhood bestfriend.

She's... different.

She'd changed.

Her once-bright-and-shining electric blue eyes are now dark, dull-and-lifeless. Filled with pain and sorrow.

Her whole body is covered with bandages.

"T-three... " I trailed off. I can't speak.

"What?! You've lost your tongue? You still have some on your hands, don't you?! Why did you leave me, Dei? Why?! Answer me!" she yelled, tears pouring down into her cheeks.

"Three... I-I'm sorry! I really am!" I told her.

I can't see her like this. It hurts!

"Too late, Dei! It's too late to apologize! You broke your promise!" she said.

"Three... I didn't mean to! I'm really sorry! Just please let me explain!" I begged.

"Why did you make a promise if you can't keep it?! You left me alone again!" she continued.

I was stunned. A flashback appeared in my mind.

*Flashback*

"Dei-kun!" a girl called, running at me.

"Yes, Three?" I asked her.

"Will you... promise me something?" she asked.

"Of course." I told her softly, ruffling her hair.

"Promise me... that you will never leave me alone!" she told me, showing me her little finger.

I stared at her in confusion. Why so sudden?

"Alright. I promise." I answered, smiling at her, connecting my finger with hers. She giggled and tackled me in a hug.

*End of Flashback*

"Three... I... " I trailed off. She's right. I broke my promise.

Suddenly, she bursted out of the hideout.
