A week later

Sora's POV

I stand up and stretch. I wait till I hear a pop and I smile. "Aw man that feels good. I can move again."

Naruto walks in with Sasuke next to him.

I crack my knuckles with a smirk. "Time for payback."

They both pale. "That's not why were here."

I smack them upside the head and they fall forward.

They both stand up straight then turn to look at me. "You can move again." Naruto says to me.

I nod. "And it feels great to. Hospitals are so boring when I'm stuck in them."

"Anyways, I'm leaving the village for a while. A long while." Sasuke says to me.

"That figures. I was expecting that." I say to him.

"BIG SIS." I get tackled to the ground in a hug.

I look down to see Umi crying. "Say what? Am I the only one who's confused here?"

"After she learned what happened during the war and how you, Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura had a huge part in it, she took some time to rethink everything. She's came to her senses and proved it." Kakashi says standing in the door frame.

I raise an eyebrow unamused. "This isn't her. The chakra signature is way off." I say to him.

"Crap, she didn't fall for it." Naruto mutters.

The Umi look alike poofs into Sakura and she sits up.

"We just wanted you to have some good news." Sakura says to me.

I raise an eyebrow. "Peace was achieved between the nations right?" I ask them.

"For now." Kakashi says to me.

"Then my dream was achieved. That's good enough news for me." I say to them.

"So that's what your dream was. You never really said it before." Sakura says to me.

I nod. "I just wanted peace. I don't need to become a Kage, or a leader. Actually, I'm not cut out for that stuff, at all. I'm fine with peace."

Kakashi laughs. "Your still a mystery. You kept your dream from us this entire time."

"Are you sure that's good enough news for you? Especially after everything that's happened?" Naruto asks me.

"I'm fine. Being able to move and knowing that there is peace, is perfect for me right now. All I need is some food. I don't like IV's."

Everyone laughs.

I get up and I grab my stuff. "Alright, I'm gonna go change, then I'm signing myself out of the hospital. After I have no clue."

I walk to the bathroom and I change into a white tank top with a long sleeve fishnet underneath. Black shorts and knee high black ninja sandals. Black fingerless plated gloves.

I lost my black coat. Now I have to get a new one. Oh well, probably for the best.

I put my silver star and my black star earrings on and I braid my hair. I wash my face and I dry it.

I grab my ninja gear and put it on then I walk out with my stuff in a scroll in my pouch. I walk to the desk and I sign myself out.

"Freedom." I say after I walk out.

I run to Ichiraku's and I sit down in a seat.

"Ahh Sora, haven't seen you in a while. Where have you been?" Ayame asks me.

"Confined in a hospital room for a long time, it felt like forever. Before that I was fighting in the War. That's how I got the scar on my left eye."

Ayame nods. "Your usual?"

"Make it large. I'm starving." I say to her.

Teuchi and Ayame laugh and they get to work.

I guess I should go visit. Stupid love emotion, why must you get in my way? Hey whatever happen to those two guys? Dam and Sean? No that doesn't sound right. Maybe Sam and Dean? Yeah that sounds right. Whatever happened to them?

My Miso Char Siu gets placed in front of me.

"Thanks for the food." I break my chop sticks and I start eating. "Sooooo gooooodddd. I forgot what real food tasted like."

Teuchi and Ayame laugh.

I eat a few bowls of ramen then I pay and leave.

Oh yeah Tails is somewhere. I have no clue where.

I walk to the cemetary and I find Neji's stone. I bend down in front if it as tears start to well up in my eyes.

Neji.

Someone places a hand on my shoulder.

I look to see Naruto staring at Neji's headstone.

"He told me that he loved you. The one thing I think he regrets is not being able to tell you that." Naruto says to me.

My eyes widen and tears start falling down my face as I look back at Neji's headstone.

I don't say anything, I just continue crying.

Naruto leaves after a few minutes.

I love you too Neji.

I break down because of everything that's happened.

Thank you Neji, for being my first friend here, even if you were cocky at first. Thank you for always letting me team with you. Thank you for everything, for listening to my rambles, helping me train, helping me with my studies, for always being there for me.

I stop crying after a while and I stand up.

I'll come visit. I promise.

I walk over to Shikaku's headstone and Inoichi's headstone and I pay my respects. I then walk over to Asuma's headstone.

I'm gonna miss you Asuma-Nii-San.

I walk out of the cemetary and to my place. I see Konohomaru, Moegi and Udon waiting for me in front if my house.

"What are you guys doing here?" I ask them, curious.

"We were waiting for you to come back." Moegi says to me.

"Oh? And why's that?" I ask her.

"Everyone's saying you threw Nature of balance. How did you do that?" Konohomaru asks me.

"Eh? Well, my Nature Style of course." I hold a finger up and it glows green with my Nature Style surrounding it. "Of course it took a lot of chakra, but my Mimicry Jutsu helped that."

"Wow, her explaination was more boring than I thought." Konohomaru says to his team.

"That's rude. If she explained everything we wouldn't understand it." Moegi says to him.

I leave as they argue. I walk to my training ground and I start doing some training.

I sit on a tree branch when I finish and I sense someone was watching me.

I look around and I see Kakashi. "Hello Kakashi-Sensei. Or should I say Lord Kakashi now?" I ask him.

"Drop the 'Lord'." Kakashi says to me.

"Alright Kakashi." I say to him and he jumps up to my branch.

"You seem upset." Kakashi says to me.

"I'm fine. Its nothing." I say to him with a smile.

"Doubtful but seeing you earlier at the graveyard I won't push it." Kakashi says to me.

I nod. "And your stalking me again because?" I ask.

"I'm not stalking. I'm just watching you with out your consent." Kakashi says to me.

"In otherwords, stalking." I say to him.

"You ready to start taking on missions again?" Kakashi asks me.

I nod. "I've been to inactive lately."

Kakashi nods and hands me a paper. "I want you to investigate the land of silence. Rouges and people seem to be migrating there. See if you can find out anything." Kakashi says to me.

"Right. This is gonna be a pain isn't it?" I ask him.

Kakashi nods. "Be careful."

I nod and run to the gates, passing Naruto and the others.

I find the land after a while and I slow down to a stop a little bit away.

Think, they just won't let a normal leaf ninja in, let alone me. Disguise. That's probably the only way to get past.

I find a normal town nearby and I get new clothes and brown hair dye.

I change and dye my hair entirely brown. I put in black contact lenses and I look like a villager.

Why don't I just wear my old school uniform? Oh wait I can't, its to small. I hate wearing dresses like this. But I do like the style, its not to bad.

I walk to the Land of Silence's gate.

"Who are you?"

I look at them shyly. "M-My name is Yoru. I'm a traveler looking for a place to settle down."

"Then come on in. You seem like a nice girl Yoru, we'll take you to our boss later." One of the guys say to me and let's me pass.

I nod shyly and I walk past them.

I walk through the town to see blue flowers.

A memory pops into my mind, it was of me and Umi when she yelled at me and started to hate me.

At least I know how to deal with that.

More bad memories pop into my head.

I ignore them, as usual when that happens.

People surround me and I look at them, fake frightened.

"Come with us Leaf Ninja Sora Kimiki." One of them say.

"Well that could have gone worse. Oh well, I guess I'm not good at infiltrating." I say with a shrug and I hold out my wrists.

They look at me confused. "You aren't gonna fight back?"

"Should I? I'm just trying not to attract attention to myself. Can I change real quick? Dresses, hair dye and contacts really bother me."

They nod and I walk to a bathroom that they show me to.

I change out of my dress and into my mission clothes and my ninja gear. I take out the hair dye and the contact lenses.

I look like myself again.

I walk out. "Alright I'm done."

They nod and surround me. I get walked to a castle type thing.

I put my Leaf Forehead Protector on around my neck.

My katana gets taken away.

I look at it. "That's my katana, and the only memory I have of a few people that I lost." I say to them.

"Sorry you can't have it in here."

I sigh. "Well it could be worse."

I hear someone laugh and I look to see someone weird.

"Well well well, if it isn't Sora Kimiki, the famous Rouge Hunter."

I look at him unamused. "Uh huh."

I look at him as he leads me to another room.

I sit in the jail cell with an unamused look on my face.

"Now to pass time since my hands and legs are chained. Hmm what to do, what to do."

I close my eyes. "I can't sleep, I can't train, I can't move. How did I manage that for two weeks in the hospital? Now would be a great time to have Tails, but she's busy, Neji is no longer here in this world, neither is Shikaku, Inoichi and Asuma-Nii-San. Man what a pain."

I get stuck in this place for 2 years and I hear the door open. My eyes are covered by a bandana because of my Nature Style.

I hear someone get pushed in and I look up.

"Sora you have a roommate. Don't fill his head with crazy idea's like you did with Sai." The guard says to me.

I sense the chakra. "Shikamaru." I say aloud.

I feel movement in the air and I feel someone next to me.

"Sora? How long have you been here?" Shikamaru asks me.

"2 years." I say to him.

Shikamaru takes off the bandana and he looks at me worried. "Are you ok? Did they hurt you?" Shikamaru asks me with worry in his voice.

Tears well up in my eyes. "Daily mind tortures, my will is almost gone." I say quietly.

Shikamaru's eyes widen. "But your will is stronger than anyone's. How?" Shikamaru asks me.

"They bring up bad stuff about my past and the guy, his name is Gengo, tries to get me on his side. Then I see people switch over to his side and they're personality changes completely. I don't know how many times they brought up team 7, Umi, Asuma, Neji or how many times they said I'd never go home." I say to him. "I'm scared Shikamaru." I say to him.

Shikamaru looks at me shocked. "Scared? Sora? You never get scared, that's why everyone looks up to you. You don't show your fear and everyone feels like they can do anything when they see you so defiant. We'll get out of here and go home. I promise." Shikamaru says to me.

The door opens and I stand in front of Shikamaru defiantly.

"You still have spirit Rouge Hunter. Good, then you can watch two people come over to my side today then we'll try you again." Gengo says to me.

I do mental hand signs. "Barrier." A barrier forms around me and Shikamaru. "Go to hell Gengo."

The aura in this place shatters my barrier because I'm weak at the moment.

Shikamaru looks around shocked.

"Damn it." I mutter and I get pulled out. I watch as two people come over to Gengo's side and my will weakens more.

"They were Leaf ANBU too. Hinoko and Ro." Gengo says to me.

My will weakens more.

"Now its your turn." Gengo says to me and leads me to a separate room.

Gengo starts saying stuff about all the bad things that have happened to me and weakens my will bit my bit.

I feel something start to form behind me.

I tear off a piece of my shirt and I tie it over my ears and eyes. "No."

"Come on take it off and turn around, no need to be scared. This is your home. I remember you when you were ten. You were always pissed off." Gengo says to me and unties my make shift bandana and he turns me around.

I shut my eyes. "No my home is the Leaf Village." I say to him.

"This is where you grew up Sora. I know how your friends died that day and I know a lot about you." Gengo says to me in a soothing voice. "Now open your eyes, everything is alright."

"I don't trust you." I say to him with weak defiance.

"Its ok, I won't hurt you, just open your eyes, everything is ok." Gengo says to me soothingly.

"I can't trust you. But." I start doubting myself.

"But you do trust me. After all I am one of your old friends. Remember?" Gengo asks.

"My friends would never do this." I say to him as my will starts to crack.

An image of a glaring Umi appears in my mind and my will continues to slowly crack.

"Its alright Sora. I'm right here, just open your eyes to look at me." I feel hands on both my cheeks.

I start crying. "I can't. I won't. I'm a Leaf Jonin, I won't be beaten. I've never been beaten before. I'm not supposed to be beaten. I'm a Rouge Hunter and a Kimiki."

I hear a sigh and the thing forming deforms and I get walked back to my cell.

I sit down and I see Shikamaru looking at me worried.

"Shikamaru, how is Mirai and Kurenai?" I ask him.

"Perfectly fine." Shikamaru says to me.

"What about Naruto and Sakura?" I ask.

"Just fine."

"And everyone else?" I ask.

"Everyone is perfectly fine. Why?" Shikamaru asks.

"I just need something to help me. I've been here too long." I say quietly.

Shikamaru hugs me. "Its alright. Brother Shikamaru is here. Nothing else will happen to you."

I cry quietly into his shoulder. "I just want to go home."

"We'll go home. I promise." Shikamaru says to me.

I calm down after a while and I sit against the wall unable to get up.

The door opens and I attempt to stand up but my body won't move.

"Come on Shikamaru. Gengo wants to talk to you." Sai says to him.

I look at Shikamaru and he sighs and gets up and walks over.

They leave and I look at the closed door.

I still look the same. My body is still athletic and my hair is still black with silver stripes. My skin is a bit paler than usual though.

I sit in the corner and I rest seeing as I can't move unless I have energy.

I hear a crash then foot steps then a few minutes later a huge crash.

I wait a long while before the door opens.

I look up to see Shikamaru with my katana. He tosses it to me and I unsheathe it. The Nature Style energy I stored in there and the Nature energy I stored flows into me. I stand up and I start healing. My will gets stronger by the second.

"Thank you Shikamaru." I say to him and he nods.

"Come on." We walk out of the place and I see Ino, Choji, Temari, Sai, Hinoko and Ro waiting.

"Sora?" Ino asks.

I nod. "Yeah?"

Ino runs over and hugs me. "What were you doing in there?"

"I was sent on a mission to gather intel on this place. I got myself captured and I was mentally tortured for 2 years by Gengo." I say to her.

Ino hugs me tighter. "We didn't know. If we did we would have come to save you." Ino says to me.

"Its fine. As soon as I got here I was immediately caught so I couldn't write a letter or anything."

Ino steps back after a while then notices my calf length black hair with silver stripes in it. "Your hair, its so long."

I nod.

Temari and Shikamaru break off from the group and so does Ino and Sai.

"You should become ANBU. You'd be perfect for it." Ro says to me.

I shake my head. "No, I'm taking a few months off of missions. I want to travel for a bit again. Besides I have to heal my mind after everything that has happened to me the past 2 years." I say to him.

We get back to the village some hours later and I stand in the Hokage office after everyone leaves.

Kakashi looks at me. "Yes Sora?"

"I want your permission to travel. I don't have the mind power to do missions for a long time and I want to travel again like I used to." I say to him.

Kakashi chuckles and nods. "Yes you have my permission. Just don't get in trouble."

"I won't, thank you Kakashi-Sensei." I say to him with a smile and I walk out.

I walk back to my house and I unlock the door. I walk in and relock the door then I fall on my couch. I fall asleep.

The Next morning

I wake up feeling a lot better.

I eat and I pack up some things and I seal them in a scroll.

I walk to my bathroom and I take a long hot shower and I change into a black tank and my black and purple shorts. I put on my knee high black ninja sandals and my sleeveless fishnet undershirt. I put my black and silver star earrings back on and I brush out my hair. I put on some lip gloss and I look at myself in the mirror.

I put on a new black coat that was in my room.

I pick up the note.

Sora
I'm sorry for what I did. I really am your old friend. Nagato brought me back after I died and trained me in the Hidden Rain Village. Here's a new jacket. I know you lost your old one. This should have been sent during the time I kept you in captivity. I've heard about your awesome skills and everything you do as a Rouge Hunter. I heard about how you helped defeat Kaguya and that you never lose, no matter who it is or what your doing. The coat isn't harmful, I swear.
Gengo.

My eyes widen and I look at the coat.

Thank you.

I put my ninja gear on and I put my Leaf Forehead protector on around my left arm. I attach my Katana to my side.

I braid my hair and I put my scroll into my pouch and I walk out of my house. I lock it and I put the key away.

"Um."

I turn around to see the real Umi and I look at her curious as she blushes embarrassed.

"Big sis, I'm um sorry. For everything." Umi says to me.

I bend down to look at her eyes and they tell me its the truth. "I forgave you long ago Umi."

"Where were you the past two years?" Umi asks me.

"In captivity in the Land of Silence, where I lived before I came here. Turns out an old friend of mine ruled over the Land of Silence and was mentally torturing me the past two years." I say to her.

"Did you give in?" Umi asks me.

"I was about to. My will can only last so long before it cracks."

"Where are you going?" Umi asks me.

"Traveling to heal my mind. I want to see where I used to train when I was out traveling as a teen and I want to go see the Hidden Cloud, the Hidden Mist, the Hidden Stone, and the Hidden Sand. I'm gonna be gone for a while and I won't be taking any missions." I say to her and she looks at me with sadness.

"I wish I could go but Udon. I want to stay with him." Umi says to me with a blush on her face.

My eyes widen slightly then I smirk. "Alright, stay with Udon and when I'm back you two better be a thing." I say to her and her face reddens. I laugh. "Come here, I'm only messing with you. I know what its like to like someone." I say to her.

She hugs me. "Do you really have to go?"

"Yeah. I need to heal my mind. Hopefully this trip heals it." I hug her.

We walk to the gates I see everyone waiting.

"Uhh." I say confused and Tails runs up to me, about the size of Akamaru.

"Were sending you off with a good bye. Don't think for a second that I'm not coming. And these guys wouldn't let you leave unless they got to say goodbye." Tails says to me.

I look at everyone and they all surround me and give me a giant hug.

"Come back soon." They all say to me.

"I'll try." I walk out of the gates with Tails next to me who has one tail out.
