LaToya came and testified against Christopher. I also testified against him and I told the truth. The whole truth and nothing but the truth. Christopher tried to make up lies and.. Well.. I might be breaking the law here but this is what happened.

Policeman: Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?

Michael: Yes sir.

Judge: You may proceed to ask you questions.

Lawyer: Mr. Jackson. Where were you the night that Suzanne Braxton was kidnapped?

Michael: It's Suzanne Jackson.. And um.. Well..

I looked down as I blushed remembering what happened but then I looked up at Michael and gave him a look that said 'Either tell the truth or I'll kill you.'

Lawyer: Jackson?

Michael: Suzanne and I had just awakened in each other's arm because the night before.. We um.. We made love for the first time. LaToya came in as I was cooking breakfast and Suzanne got into it with her. Suzanne went out and then we began to look for her when I found out.

Lawyer: Now, who is LaToya?

Michael: She's my older sister.

Lawyer: I see..

He went on asking Michael questions and then I got up there.

Lawyer: Suzanne Braxton-.

Suesie: Jackson..

Lawyer: Jackson.. What caused you to get into the palm of Christopher Moore's hand?

Suesie: Well, at first Chris & I were good friends and then I started hearing things about him but I didn't want to believe it so I didn't. That night when I was kidnapped, I went out and into the hallway for a moment of peace and then Christopher came out. He asked me what was wrong and I told him. He asked if I wanted to back to his dorm for some tea and then we could talk some more. I refused a few times but then I said yes and he stuck to his word. We had tea and I felt a little better about the situation. I was about to go out of his dorm but he blocked my way and we got into it a little.. He pulled me close by my waist and I slapped him.

I told him the rest of what happened and he asked me more questions like the conditions of the place that he kept me and what he did to me there. Michael was shocked at what I said happened to me in Christopher's dungeon.. When I went to sit back down next to Michael, he couldn't stop gaping at me.

Suesie: Close your mouth before a fly gets in there.

Michael: He raped you? Baby.. Baby why don't you tell me?

Suesie: You never asked.

Michael: Baby..

Michael grabbed my hands and I let him. The rest of court was going good until Christopher told a lie.

Lawyer: What caused you to try and murder Suzanne?

Chris: I was crazy and I thought that I was in love with her.

LaToya: Good excuse..

LaToya added under her breath.

Lawyer: What made you think that you were in love?

Chris: We spent time together and I developed feelings for her. She was special to me.

I looked down at that part because he looked directly at me.

Michael: Are you alright Sweetheart?

Suesie: Yes, I'm fine.

Chris: In my mind, she already was my girl and I wanted her badly. I wanted to be like Michael.. No. I wanted to be him.

The Lawyer asked him a question and this was the lie. I missed the question but I knew what Christopher said was a lie.

Chris: No, Suzanne and I got into an argument once but I never hit her.

Suesie: You fucking liar! I can show you all the bruises and cuts that he gave me!

The Judge hit his gavel.

Judge: Mrs. Jackson, no outbursts! This is a courtroom, not the hood.

I found this very offensive but Michael held me back.

Lawyer: Well, if you didn't hit Suzanne, then what happened?

Chris: We had the tea and then she came onto me. She told me to take her where we could be alone and so I did. That's why nobody heard us leave.

LaToya: You bitch! You're a liar

Judge: If you can't contain yourselves then you will have to be excused.

LaToya: I'm sorry your honor.

Lawyer: Continue.

Chris: We ran away together.

Lawyer: What about the cuts and bruises that she's talking about?

Chris: I don't know where they came from but all I know I'd that I never touched her.

I sat there bouncing my leg as I shook my head trying to keep myself calm and Michael kept rubbing my leg to calm me down and in a way, it worked.

Lawyer: Oh really? Any sexual contact at all?

Chris: No. Except the fact that one time I almost kissed her which was the night that we ran away together.

Lawyer: Friendly contact?

Chris: We used to play basketball together back in high school and hang out together which caused me to develop feelings for her and think that we were dating.. I don't know what was wrong with me.

I closed my eyes and thought about those times when we used to be, what I thought was a camaraderie. I caught myself smiling and snapped back to reality to see Michael giving me a confused smile.

Lawyer: You are a very good liar Mr. Moore.

Chris: I am not a liar until proven so, even you should know that.

Lawyer: That is.. Correct Mr. Moore but need I remind you not to get smart with the law.

Chris: I knew that applied to the judge but I never knew it was also applied to a lawyer.

The lawyer eyed Christopher in a slick way that only I detected.

Lawyer: Have you ever touched Suzanne.. Jackson?

He said turning around to certify with me that that was, indeed, my name.

Chris: No.

Lawyer: Oh really? What about these pictures that Suzanne has?

He looked at the Judge for permission to get the pictures and the Judge nodded. I handed him the pictures and he gave a picture to Chris.

Lawyer: Do you recognize this person?

He said handing him the picture of Lisa which I got from her funeral when her mom was passing out pictures of her as a memento of her.

Chris: I think, if I'm correct, that looks like Lisa from High School.

Lawyer: Do you remember when she went missing?

Chris: She always hung with her two friends T-Boz & Chile and together, they called themselves TLC. When Lisa went missing, so did Michael. I was there at school everyday.

Lawyer: What about this person?

He said handing him the picture of Hellen which Michael got from last year's Year Book. I must admit, she was a beautiful girl.

Chris: Yes.. This my sweet Hellen. She was girlfriend until she went missing and I loved her so much.. She was the type of girl that would melt a player's heart and she did.. I used to be unfaithful until she came into my life.

Chris said smiling as he traced her face with his fingers. He started to remember everything good about about Hellen and then the lawyer spoiled his dreams.

Lawyer: Do you know anything about her death?

Christopher's expression went from happy to expressionless. He looked past the lawyer and began to remember what happened to Hellen.

Chris: She was walking away to her next class and then she said she'd see me at lunch but she never showed up. I went looking for her and nothing turned out right. When I came back to school, people accused me for her death when they found her.

Chris started to cry in front of everyone. He really is a good liar.

Lawyer: No further questions your honor.

Judge: I will see you all tomorrow at five o'clock. Call the next case.
