The next morning, Michael & I woke up in each others arms. Well.. I woke up in his arms and looked up to see him still sleeping. I smiled. He looks so adorable when he's sleeping. I look at the clock.. 6:38 A.M. Oh shit! I'm late!

Suesie: Michael, Michael wake up.

I said shaking him. I didn't want to wake him but this was serious.

Michael: What?

Suesie: It's 6:38! We're late!

Michael looked at the clock.

Michael: 39..

Suesie: Are you listening? Never mind. You can stay in bed and I'll go to school.

Michael: No no, I'm up. Let me get dressed.

Suesie: Same here.

I put on my clothes in a heartbeat and tried to keep my eyes off of Michael as he got dressed. I grabbed my things and raced out of the door. I was almost inside of the office when I was stopped.

Mr. Jackson: Suzanne!

Oh shit..

Suesie: Yes sir?

I said in a small voice.

Mr. Jackson: Come here.

I slowly turned around and walked over to Principal Jackson.

Mr. Jackson: Where were you this morning?

Suesie: I was asleep.. Im sorry it'll never happen again! I promise!

Principal Jackson put his hand upon his chin.

Mr. Jackson: You promise?

Suesie: Yes sir, unless I'm sick. I promise I'll call in.

Mr. Jackson: Uh huh.... Where's Michael?

I gulped. Oh shit.. He knows..

Suesie: I-.. Well I-..

I sighed.

Suesie: He's-.

Michael: Right here.

Michael said cutting me off. I look over at him and he acted as if nothing happened. As much as he wanted to, he didn't smile, wink, or anything at me. He just looked at his dad with a straight face.

Mr. Jackson: Thank God, Michael where have you been?

Michael: Im sorry, I was in my dorm resting. Working for you, being in school, and taking care of the family is a lot to handle.

Mr. Jackson: Wait until you start a family..

Mr. Jackson mumbled.

Suesie: I was going to get a tardy pass for my class..

Mr. Jackson: Wait until you get into college.. There won't be any passes..

Mr. Jackson mumbled once again.

Suesie: I apologize Mr. Jackson! Please forgive me!

Mr. Jackson: I will but next time, set your alarm clock.

Suesie: Yes sir.

I got my pass and went to class. The day was going great.... Until gym....

LaToya: You ready?

Suesie: I guess so..

LaToya looked at me and a smile appeared upon her lips.

LaToya: So tell me.. Who was that moaning like ghost?

Suesie: Oh my gosh.. Tell me you didn't!

LaToya grinned.

LaToya: I did. M-Michael baby, please s-stop!

Suesie: Will you please keep your voice down! Everyone will hear you!

LaToya: As if they didn't hear you yesterday..

Suesie: Son of a-..

Coach: Alright ladies! Enough chit chat! Come on out!

Coach Larain said cutting me off. I blushed, hoping no one else heard me. I walked out of the door and into the gymnasium. This was a nightmare. I arrived outside of the locker room but no one noticed. Thank God.

Coach: Alright, Let's do the same exercise that you did a few days ago.

I sighed and Michael didn't know what to do. I walked him through it.

Michael: What do I do?

Suesie: Stand behind me and grab my kneecap on my lifted leg.... Now, wrap your arm around my chest and hold onto my arm.... Now turn me towards you, dip me but slowly bring me back up.... Good, lets do this again.

We did this a couple more times and I wasn't as dizzy this time. But I was cross-eyed for a few minutes.

Michael: This is fun.

Suesie: For you..

Michael looked at me and gave me a goofy look. I laughed at him and the fact that I was seeing double, made it all the more funny. It was also adorable. Mrs. L blew her whistle.

Coach: Alright, now the big question. Who had a harder time? The ladies or the men? Chille & L.L., come up here! Who had a harder time?

Chille: I think he did, because he was shaking really bad trying to slowly bring me back up and hold onto my kneecap.

Coach: Do you agree?

He nodded.

Coach: You are dismissed. LaToya & Christopher! Come here! Who was it?

Christopher: I think LaToya did because she had to stretch her body everywhere and not a lot of people are that flexible.

Christopher said looking at me the whole time.

Coach: Do you agree?

LaToya: He may be strong, but I'm flexible and I agree. It strained my back when I tried to lift my leg into air and when he slowly brought me back up again.

Coach: Alright.. Michael & Aaliyah!

Suzanne..

Coach: What is your opinion?

Suesie: I thought that this was equally hard for both of us because this was his first time doing it, but he got the hang of it.. And I got dizzy every time we did this again but faster.

Coach: I see. Well, that's it! Go and take a shower! Or enjoy your free time!

For the next thirty minutes, I was in the shower clearing my mind of everything. What LaToya said haunted me.

'As if no one heard you yesterday..'

Oh my lord.. That is embarrassing. This place needs sound proof walls.. I changed my clothes and walked back out into the Gymnasium. I waited for LaToya and we went to lunch together.

LaToya: So tell me.. Is it a boy, or a girl?

My eyes widened when she said that.

Suesie: Oh God, LaToya!

I said pulling her into the girls restroom.

LaToya: Well?

Suesie: We just.. Talked.. Nothing interesting..

LaToya: So talking makes you moan? Because I have never heard you moan when you talk to me.

Suesie: No.. I just..

LaToya: You didn't!

Suesie: What? No!

LaToya: Good. If you did, I was going to kill Michael. We already had that conversation.

Suesie: He did tell me that he wanted me to have his prize and his children..

LaToya's eyes widened.

LaToya: What the hell?

Suesie: I know! I'm still in High School and he's already talking about getting married, making love to me, and having chidren.

LaToya sighed.

LaToya: He must really be serious about this then..

Suesie: What do you mean?

LaToya: Did he tell you that he loves you?

Suesie: Yes.. Why?

LaToya: What did you say?

LaToya said looking up at me.

Suesie: That I-.. I love him too.

LaToya's blood curdled. She looked as if she'd seen a ghost.

LaToya: Do you mean it?

Suesie: Of course I do! But I'm still young. I have plenty of time before I start thinking about that.

LaToya shook her head.

LaToya: But you're old enough to think about sex.. Okay..

Suesie: No! I may think about it but I don't want it until I'm married.

LaToya: Sure you don't..

Suesie: Believe me, I'm waiting.

LaToya gave me a look of sarcasm.

LaToya: Okay..

Suesie: Lets get to lunch.

LaToya & I made our way towards the lunch room and got our trays. Today we had lasagna, milk, raw carrots, and apple sauce. Those are all of my favorite things to eat but the problem is either, get the carrots or the apple sauce.. I got the carrots.. LaToya & I sat down with some new people today.

LaToya: Suesie, this is my sister Reebie and some of my other brothers.

Suesie: Hello..

I said shyly. Everyone smiled and said hello.

Reebie: I'm Maureen. But everybody calls me Reebie.

Jackie: I'm Sigmund.. But please just call me Jackie.

Jackie said, trailing off at his name and stretching out the word 'please'.

Tito: Hello, my name is Adryl. But you may call me Tito.

Tito said shaking my hand and smiling. LaToya glared at him. I just smiled.

Marlon: I'm Marlon, their neighbor from down the street.

Suesie: How do they call you?

Marlon: Marlon..

Marlon said tilting his head to the side while he shrugged his shoulders, then laughed.

Jermaine: Jermaine LaJune Jackson, but please.. Call me Jermaine. Nice to meet you.

Randy: Steven Randall. But everybody calls me Randy. Nice to meet your acquaintance.

I smiled.

Suesie: Nice to meet you all. LaToya, are there anymore of you that I should know about?

LaToya thought about it and then nodded. My eyes widened.. I was only joking!

LaToya: Yes.. Our baby sister Janet.

Suesie: You have a large family! How do you mange?

They all smiled at me.

Tito: It's a lot to handle, but we manage.

I nodded.

Reebie: Where are you from?

Suesie: Brooklyn, New York.

LaToya's eyes widened.

LaToya: YOU NEVER TOLD ME THAT!

I smiled.

Suesie: You never asked..

LaToya nodded..

LaToya: Well everyone.. The time has come to tell you why you cannot have her Tito!

Tito: What?

Tito said innocently.

LaToya: You know how Michael is acting all love struck?

Suesie: LaToya..

I said warning her. They all nodded.

LaToya: She's the reason!

Damn her.. They all stared at me, then started grinning.

Jermaine: Oh so you're the one! Well.. Michael wants to rock with you! Yeah! All night!

Jermaine said slyly. Then bursted out singing.

Tito: Rock you in the day! Sunlight!

Tito joined in. I looked down and blushed.

Reebie: Stop! You're embarrassing her!

Suesie: No, actually.. I need to go.

I said leaving the table. I was almost all the way out the door when someone grabbed me by the shoulder. I whirled around quickly and looked at the person who touched me. It was Christopher.

Chris: Hey Sue.

I didn't respond. I just waved and walked out of the room. I stood with my back against the wall and looked up at the ceiling. I sighed and thought about what just happened.. A truly embarrassing moment. The door opened and I heard a voice.

Chris: Suzanne what's wrong?

Suesie: Nothing.. It's-.. Not important.

I wasn't looking at Christopher but I knew that he was frowning. I looked down.

Chris: Suzanne, don't lie to me. You're hurt. Tell me what's wrong.

Suesie: It's silly.. You wouldn't understand.

Christopher crossed his arms and gave me a serious look.

Chris: Try me.

I sighed but began.

Suesie: Well..

----At the lunch table----

LaToya glared at Tito & Jermaine once Suzanne left.

LaToya: Why did you do that?

Jermaine: What?

Reebie: You hurt her feelings and embarrassed her! Do you know how hard it is to be a girl!

Tito & Jermaine looked at each other and shrugged.

Tito: No, and I prefer not to.

LaToya cut her eyes at Tito, making him shudder.

Reebie: She really likes Michael! Now things are going to be weird between them!

LaToya: Oh no! Oh God No!

LaToya shouted.

Reebie: What?

LaToya: Look! She's over there talking to Christopher!

Everyone's eyes got big.

Randy: Psychopath..

LaToya: Remember Helen? I don't want that to happen to her. I'm going after her.

Reebie: Me also.

----Outside the lunchroom----

Chris: That is pretty embarrassing.

Suesie: I know.. I felt like a fool..

Christopher lifted my head up with his fingertips and made me look at him.

Chris: I would never make you feel like a fool.

I smiled.

Suesie: Thank you Chris.. You are actually sweet when you want to be.

I laughed.

Chris: I guess I was a jerk at first..

Suesie: You guess?

Chris: I'm not perfect okay!

Christopher said putting his hands up in defense and laughing.

Suesie: No one is..

LaToya: Hello!

LaToya said bursting inside of the hallway with Reebie following behind her.

Suesie: Hello..

LaToya: So, I really need to talk to you right now. It can't wait.

Suesie: What is it?

LaToya looked at Christopher and back at me.

LaToya: In private.

Suesie: But I was talking to Chris!

LaToya: And now I am talking to you.

I looked at Christopher apologetically and he nodded.

Chris: Go ahead. I'll see you tomorrow.

Suesie: I'm so sorry..

LaToya: Sorry for the inconvenience but.. Umm.. We gotta go.

LaToya said, rushing me down the hall with Reebie following us.

Suesie: What the hell is going on here?

LaToya: You cannot see him anymore.

I looked at LaToya like she was crazy.

Suesie: Why not? I am my own person!

LaToya: Because.. He's different..

I rolled my eyes.

Suesie: You said the same thing about Michael..

Reebie: Sweetheart, listen to me. LaToya, let me handle this. Come sit down.

I sat down next to Reebie.

Suesie: What's going on?

Reebie: He's a negative person. You may not see it now, but you will if you keep messing around with him.

Suesie: What are you talking about?

LaToya: Didn't Michael tell you?

Suesie: Tell me what?

I said. I was convoluted.

Reebie: Christopher has a mental issue. Something evil in his mind possesses him to do certain things that have endangered and even ended lives.

Suesie: What?

I said surprised.

LaToya: He is suspected to have killed a girl named Hellen.. Have you heard of her?

I thought about it.

Suesie: Michael only said that he caught him smiling at her funeral.

LaToya: She was slaughtered and was his former girlfriend at the time.

Reebie: He's not like other guys.. If you deny him.. You're done for.

Suesie: No..

LaToya: This is for your own good.

Reebie: You have to stay away from him.

Suesie: No!

LaToya: It was obvious that he killed her.

Suesie: No! Stop it! It's not true! You're lying to me! I just know it!

I stood up and screamed.

LaToya: We have been friends since this year began! And you think that I am lying to you? Oh no. This will not pass. I care about you and so does Michael! He loves you and I'm trying to save your life from danger! I thought that you would listen to me. I thought that you loved Michael. I thought that you wanted to marry him. But I guess not. I thought that you would listen to your so called 'sister'. But I guess I was wrong. Let me know what your favorite flowers are.

I was puzzled at the last statement.

Suesie: Why?

LaToya: You'll need them at your funeral.

LaToya said walking away angrily. I looked down at my hands and sank down to the ground. I wanted everything that she had just said but I was too blind to see the truth. I felt my face get hot and warm wetness go down my cheeks as my vision got blurry. I was crying. I felt a hand rub my back and the other one hold me close. I looked up and tried to make out who it was, but it was no use. The person shushed me and held me close as they rocked me slowly. I didn't care who it was but whoever it is, was helping me. Then they started to sing.

'She was there just sitting at the table,

Then they started to hum a little then they sang again.

They paused briefly then finished.

'Yes I guess I learned my lesson much too soon.'

They said and kissed my head. I felt something wipe my eyes and I looked up.

Suesie: Thank you.

I barely whispered and he nodded.

Michael: Come on, I'll take you home.

I stood up and Reebie stood on my other side. I looked at her.

Suesie: I'm sorry. Please have LaToya come over later.

Reebie smiled and wiped my tears with her finger.

Reebie: It's fine. You were shocked. I'd most likely act the same way. LaToya just needs to cool off for a while. Spend the weekend with her and she'll lighten up a bit.

I nodded. We arrived at my place and I laid down on my bed. Michael sat beside me.

Michael: I'll tell my dad that you got sick.

Suesie: Thank you.

Michael: Don't speak. As much as I'd love to hear your voice, you need to rest it.

I nodded.

Michael: You know, I hate to see you cry but I love that I get to hold you close to me when you do. I get wipe away your tears and tell you that everything will be alright. I get to kiss away your pain and cuddle you. I get to do a lot of things but I would love it more if you smiled.

I smiled at him, but it wasn't real. Michael kissed my forehead and laid down next to me, holding me close to him. I soon drifted off into a deep sleep and it wasn't pleasant.
