It was a few days after the breakup. MrCheese felt like a depressed zombie the whole day, but he pretended he was fine while doing tasks or when he was in public at all.

MrEgg knew something was up with MrCheese, and he tried to talk to him, but MrCheese wouldn't let him. 

The crewmates were playing on The Skeld today, and MrEgg was looking for MrCheese. He was desperate to help the cheese boy. He found MrCheese in reactor, silently crying to himself. MrEgg walked over to MrCheese and wrapped an arm around him. MrCheese flinched and then looked at MrEgg. "What are you doing here?" MrCheese asked through tears. "MrCheese, I know you say you're fine, but you're definitely not fine. Could you please tell me what's the matter?" MrEgg said. MrCheese looked at the floor. MrEgg took MrCheese's face to look at him again. "I wanna help you." MrEgg said. "*sigh* ok..." MrCheese said. He then told MrEgg the whole story. About the arguments, finding out TheGentleman was cheating on him, everything. MrEgg listened silently. He's a good listener. 

"A-and I just... feel so heartbroken! Never has anyone hurt me so much before!" MrCheese broke down into tears. MrEgg took him into a hug. MrCheese hugged back a few moments later and cried into MrEgg's shoulder. "It's ok, MrCheese, let it all out..." MrEgg said, rubbing MrCheese's back in comfort. 

MrCheese calmed down a few minutes later. "I- thank you, MrEgg..." MrCheese said, breaking from the hug. "No problem. If you're sad again, just know: I'm here for you." MrEgg hugged MrCheese once again and walked away. MrCheese stood up, feeling better. He also was confused. Why did his (fr)enemy suddenly care so much about him now? He decided not to question it too much. He had a person to vent and talk to and that's all that mattered. MrCheese went to do tasks as usual. It still stung a bit when he saw TheGentleman and Mother, but he knew he'd be ok. He'd find a new lover someday.
