Zara's pov

i woke up with a stinging sensation on my stomach and legs. i opened my eyes slightly. i saw Laurent in a chair sleeping next to me. i was definitely not in a hospital. i tried to sit up but it hurt so i laid back down. i sighed quietly. it was still enough to wake Laurent. "your up! how are you feeling?" he asked. he seemed genuinely concerned. "my stomach and legs are burning but otherwise I'm fine." i said. he nodded. "what happened? i saw you walk in and you just fell over." he said. the memory's of Amber flashed through my head. i covered my mouth with my hand and started crying again. "wha- what's wrong?" he asked. he gently helped me sit up and sat next to me wrapping his arm around me. "she's dead." i whispered. "who's dead?" he asked. " the girl i had been waiting for died. i had been her friend for awhile. since i started training at the Spy Agency. she was my best friend. Amber." i quietly whispered her name and started sobbing again. he wrapped his arms around me pulling me into his chest. i cried everything i had in me out. "I'm so sorry." i said. "I'm sorry if you don't want me here anymore." i said. i stood up carefully wincing at the pain. "Zara wait." he said. i stopped and looked at him. he was blushing slightly. "if you do plan on leaving...about what you said..." he said. i looked at him confused. he quickly leaned down and kissed me. it took me a second to react before i kissed back. his arms wrapped around my waist and my arms wrapped around his neck loosely. when we let go he smiled at me. " i didn't realize you felt the same." he said. i laughed lightly. "i was just to scared to be rejected so i didn't say anything." i smiled. "if you don't mind me ruining the moment, ( HOW DARE YOU!) what did Amber have to find out?" he asked. i tensed and sighed. "i sent Amber to figure out my old bosses family..." i started. " and?" he said. "your his son." i said. i felt him tense. "she could be lying." he said. "my best friend has never lied to me my entire life. why would she lie now?" i asked. he thought about it for a moment. "it could be why i was a natural born assassin." he said. " your taking this really well." i said unsure. he shrugged. he kissed me yet again and i kissed back. " I'm just so happy right now." he said smiling. he hugged him tightly. "we still have a problem though. if your dad is sending other assassins to kill me, he's gonna try and do something to you." i said. he nodded. " you just need rest and to heal right now." he said. he picked me up suddenly surprising me. "What are you doing?" i asked. "carrying you. what does it look like I'm doing?" he asked. i laughed slightly. he set me on the couch. " rest up while i get dinner going." he smiled. he kissed my cheek before walking off. i closed my eyes and started falling asleep.

i woke up to hear yelling and clattering. i opened my eyes to see what was going on. it was pitch black. suddenly i see a figure on the floor and a standing figure. they quickly punched me knocking me out.

Secret pov

" we got her, what now?" #435 said. "good, bring her back. tie her up. were going to have some fun." i said. i laughed evily. now that Amber was gone, Laurent was knocked out and Zara was back in our hands, she was getting payback for making me kill one of our top agents."
