Chapter 1

You couldn't believe it, you couldn't even think that it would be possible. You actually got into Hope's Peak Academy. AKA, one of the best schools to ever exist. Best part, your best friend Pico had also been accepted into the school and it made you glad to know that he had gotten in as well.

Guess that's just luck, right? Well, you are the Ultimate Lucky Student. You got into Hope's Peak, you get to be with your friend, that has to be enough of a reason to be called lucky right? Besides, you had many other people joining your class too, it would be exciting that's for sure.

First year, and first day and you already had high hopes for this year. However, ya know how anime clichés work, right? Start the story with the protagonist running late to school... ya know what? Let's a piece of toast sticking out of your mouth for good measures.

You managed to finish the toast you had at a crosswalk sign and had to hit your back a bit just to swallow what was left. Thankfully you didn't choke, and you could just see the academy just up ahead, so you rushed over as quick as you could. You took out your phone to see what time it was, not looking where you were going and-

"Ow!" You bumped into someone as you stumbled back, trying to catch your phone.

You were about to say sorry as you caught your phone, but then when you looked at the screen... you weren't late... you actually were pretty early. That was something you couldn't be anymore embarrassed about.

"Hey, would you watch where you're-" The girl in front of you was about to say before she saw you and just stared.

"Sorry, I thought I was running late so I rushed here as quick as I could." You say while holding your hands up in defense. "I am still new here too, so..."

As you stood there, she didn't say anything. Just continued to stare at you. While she did this, you got to see her and she appeared to be a girl with dark purplish hair in twin-braids, wearing glasses and wearing what looked like a sailor school uniform with a long skirt. She was staring at you for a bit which got you worried.

"Huh?... Hey uh, you okay." You asked.

"... Y-Yeah... yeah, I'm fine." She responded... before realizing how she looked. "I-I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I-I didn't mean to stare!"

"No, no, it's fine. I get it, you're not much of a talker, I understand. You wouldn't be the first I met." You say, trying not to upset her.

Hearing your voice her face turned red. "O-O-Okay... Uh..." She stuttered before staring for another second. "I-I gotta go to class!" She then yelled as she ran off.

Before you could say anything else, she was already gone. Shy much? Hey, she did look pretty cute. Maybe she'll be in one of your classes? That's something you could probably look forward to. Though you're not making it your number one goal in life to get a girlfriend, you would like to get one given the chance.

As you walked through the school, you didn't have to go very far to get to your class as it was close by and thanks to your e-Handbook. You got there before the teacher did and got a view of your some of your classmates. One of them had one or two cats with her, no three cats including the one in the bag beside her. You were allowed to bring pets?

All you did was shrug and believe that maybe she got special permission. Then there was this one guy with boxing gloves, which gave you more than enough of hint as to what he was. Most of the desks were empty, but that could be shrugged off too.

Then you found a certain someone that was slouching in his seat, feet up on the table and not having much of a care. You knew that orange hair, those baggy pants and especially that green turtle-neck anywhere.

"Yo, Pico!" You say while heading over.

"Hey, whazzup, (Y/N)!" Pico says while holding his hand up as you high-fived him. "Look at that, same class and everything."

"Yeah, it's pretty cool. So... do we just sit wherever?" You asked.

"Huh? Oh yeah, the seats aren't assigned yet, so we can just pretty much sit wherever we want. They don't seem to care."

"Oh, uh... okay." You say before sitting down at the desk next to him.

"So, did you run into any trouble on the way here?"

"Not really. Did run into this one girl though, but she ran off before I could really start a conversation."

"Sucks. But luckier than me, anyways. I passed by a pretty cute looking girl on my way in... who kicked me in the face and called me a degenerate." He then says before showing you the side of his cheek which had a footprint.

"Ouch."

"Yeah, first year and we already have the Ultimate Feminist. Though, doesn't look like she's in our class so thank god for that. I didn't wanna deal with that on my first day."

"I mean we do have a lot of people coming to this school, it shouldn't come as a surprise that we might have one of those. Anyway, what kind of talent did you get?"

"Oh me, I got a pretty fitting title. You're looking at the Ultimate Gangster here." He then says while referring to himself.

"Neat."

"What about you?"

"Well, I'm the Ultimate Lucky Student."

"Lucky student? I mean, I guess it does sound pretty cool. Wouldn't consider you the only one to be lucky though."

"I think I'm pretty lucky though if I get to be in here you. All I did was win a raffle."

"Heh, now that is pretty lucky. Guess it fits then. Got anymore questions?"

"One more really. Is this everyone?"

"As far as I know anyway." Then someone came in. An emo looking kid with his hood up and going to the farthest desk in the room where no one else was nearby.

"Probably not everyone though. Class is about to start soon so people should be here by then."

"Alright, guess I can wait."

Now it was time for attendance and the teacher had finally come in with a clipboard in hand. When he closed the door, he went to the front of the class.

"Alright, nice to meet you. My name is Mr. Irrelevant, yes that's my actual name, and I'll be your teacher for this semester." He says to the class. "Uh, I'll taking attendance. Ultimate uh... Cat Caregiver?"

"Here!" The girl with cats says.

'Oh, that's what the cats are for.' You thought in realization.

"Alright, um, Ultimate Boxer." The teacher asked.

"Over here!" The boy with boxing gloves says.

"Good, Ultimate Nurse."

"That's me!" A girl in the back with a medical uniform on called.

"Ultimate Gangster."

"Right here, teach." Pico yells while raising a hand.

"Okay then... Ultimate Gamer?" Hearing this, the emo looking kid raised his hand but didn't say anything. "... anyone?" The teacher called out as the kid kept his hand up. "Fine, Andy Seltan..." He called out and the boy tried raising his hand higher. "Is there an Andy Seltan in my class?" Nothing. "ANDY SELTAN!" The boy then started furiously banging against his desk while waving his hand. "... Alright, guess someone decided to skip class, so moving on."

The boy had enough and got out of his chair before walking over to the teacher and slamming his hands on his desk. When he finally got the teacher's attention, he took out his e-Handbook and showed him the name. He pointed to the name, then back to him.

"... Why didn't you tell me?" The teacher says as Andy threw his hands up in annoyance before going back to his seat.

"Now I just feel bad for that guy." Pico says with a sympathetic look.

"Yeah, that's rough." You also say.

"Ultimate Lucky Student." The teacher then called.

"Huh? Uh, present!"

"Nice to know. Alright, moving on. Ultimate..."

And it went on and on with each student being called. Ultimate Swordsman, Ultimate Ninja, Ultimate Filmmaker, Ultimate Prankster, Ultimate Gardener, Ultimate Archer, Ultimate Doll Maker, Ultimate Gambler, Ultimate Acrobat, and Ultimate Butler.

They genially seemed like nice people, only reassuring you more that you'll have fun at this school. The bell rang and it was time for your classes to start. And in the middle of the first class, you were already bored. It wasn't too hard to understand what the teacher was saying, but it was so boring... then again, it was expected.

What was different from the last time you remember being in a boring class was that it seemed like most of your classmates were screwing around, not even listening while the teacher didn't seem to acknowledge it, even when he looked and saw them screwing around.

This got you confused as you were just waiting for him to say something, but he didn't even try to get the class back on track and continued as if they were listening. You looked towards Pico for help and he seemed to be one of the few that are listening, but just barely.

You poked his shoulder to get his attention. "What's up?" He asked.

"Well, what is with the teacher? Why isn't he doing anything?" You asked in a whisper.

"Huh? Oh yeah, looks like we got one of the cool teachers. We can do whatever we want."

"Wha... but, won't he be fired or something?" You asked him.

"Yeah, there are some teachers that care about whether we focus or not, and others like this guy that don't give a damn. I learned a lot of things before we came to this school. It doesn't really matter as long as we don't leave class during lessons, 'hone our skills' and pass the exam."

"... This is the best school in Japan?"

"Yep."

"How could they be so careless about the rules?!"

"Someone's sounding like the Ultimate Moral Compass now."

"I'm just saying, how is this one of the best schools in existence if they're alright with just letting their students do whatever?"

"Well, as Ultimates I guess they already expect us to be the best of the best."

Hearing that, you took some time to think for a moment before looking to the others then back to him. "So, this school really doesn't care about us focusing on the lessons?"

"Nah, it doesn't matter to them. Surprising, maybe. Do I care? Not really. Except when we don't have the cool teacher. I don't wanna meet any of the strict teachers though."

"But you said that as long as we pass the exam we'll be fine, right? Don't you technically need to study to even come close to passing that?"

"If you're that worried about it, maybe you should get back to focusing on the lesson."

He says while pointing up front. Then you realized that you had stopped listening to the teacher and quickly got back to your desk, but unfortunately the bell had rung and it was already over, causing you to drop your head on your desk. It was lunchtime now and you were heading down the cafe while looking at your notes.

"Man, I didn't even finish writing the last paragraph." You say in disappointment.

"Yeah, kind of a shame really." Pico nonchalantly says.

"GAH! I only lost focus because the rest of the class was distracting me with their things!" You say to him in annoyance.

"Well, can't say I blame you." He says before you sigh.

"So, this school really doesn't care at all about you listening in class? We just need to 'be' there?"

"It sounds like it doesn't make sense, but I don't make the rules around here. And I can't really control what the others do so it's not gonna matter."

"Man, I was expecting more from a school that was talked so highly about."

"Welp, most expectations are meant to be broken."

All you did was let your head fall. For a school with such high praise, it doesn't appear the most responsible that you found. Oh well, if the other students or even some of the staff weren't gonna care, it didn't matter to you. As long as they don't bother you.

Now you were in the cafeteria and the place was bigger than you expected. Made sense, there were a lot of students here after all.

"Dang, can't believe they have enough food for everyone here." Pico says while putting his arms behind his neck. "Food looks good anyway."

"I mean, there has to be a lot of workers if we have this many people here. What's really surprising is them having good food."

"Maybe. It's gonna be a pain in the ass to find a spot to sit at. Most of the tables already look taken."

So you and Pico were walking around looking for any free table you good. Anything would be fine. Maybe there could already be one or two people you didn't knew, anything would be better than nothing.

You spotted one table that had a group already there, talking, laughing and even one giving another a noogie. Said guy who was giving the noogie had hair that reminded you of corn-on-the-cob, the one he was nooging had red-hair, and a really fat guy with glasses.

"They seem nice." You mentioned.

"Those guys are the third years here at this school. They've been friends every since the beginning of the school year, despite not getting along at first. I actually think the rest have graduated already and some are working here." Pico tells you.

"Why haven't they?"

"Don't know, maybe they're not ready yet or something." He says before you see another table that had even more kids at it. "And those are the second years. Looks like they have enough people there though."

You just shrugged, then your eyes trailed over to another trio. Two of the girls were talking to each other, while one was next to them wasn't talking to them too much but wasn't being ignored. One had brown-hair and a swirly ponytail, the other had blue long hair, and the girl you ran into at the entrance.

"Hello?" You heard as Pico waved his hand in your face. "What's up? You already got a thing for the girls?" He says jokingly.

"Uh, no um... it's just that..." You pointed to the girl. "She's the girl I ran into when coming here."

"Huh? Oh her?" He asked as you nod. "Yeah, she's also a third year here."

"Oh, huh... wait, she's a third year too?" You asked, surprised.

"Yeah, she's kind of the shut-in type of girl. At least from what I've heard."

"Oh, I think from first impressions that, it's sort of looks like that." You looked back at her. "She's pretty cute though."

"I mean, I would say go for it, but considering my cheek when I last met a girl I thought was cute..."

"Yeah, yeah, but maybe she might be different. I mean, she didn't kick or yell at me, or call me an insult. That's gotta be a good sign."

"So, you already got a crush then?" Pico says while nudging you.

"Shut up, man." You say while elbowing him back as he just chuckled.

"Alright. Wanna go sit with'em?"

"Ehhhhhhh..." You took another look towards her. "Nah, she's with her friends. I'll think about taking my chances with her another time. Patience pays after all."

"Alright, do what ya want."

Then you looked around and spotted that the one kid you knew as the Ultimate Gamer was sitting by himself. "Maybe go sit with him." You say before walking over. "Hey, excuse me, is it alright if we sit here?"

He looked up at you and then just gestured down. Pico looked confused and whispered. "Is that a yes or a no?"

The kid saw we weren't sitting and just patted the seat. "Think it was a yes." So you just sat down next to him. "Andy, right?" He nodded. "Are you not a talker?" You asked. He put up his hands and started to make signs with his hands, giving you the idea. "Sorry, I don't speak sign language."

He sighed and took out his phone and opened the notes app which by default was on a note saying, "I can't speak. I'm mute."

"Oh. That sucks." Your orange-haired friend says. "Wait, wait, shouldn't the teacher know about that or something?" He then asked.

Andy went to typing on his phone and showed us. "It should be written under my talent."

"Okay, so the teacher's just an asshole. Good to know."

"The students are free to screw around, the staff doesn't care, and there are insensitive teachers... I'm starting to think I've made a bad decision coming here." You say.

"Heh, better than the teachers at my old school at the very least." Pico then says.

"What do you mean?" You asked for clarification.

"I mean, I had this one teacher where if one student even spoke up against him, they'd get shot."

"......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Why do you always seem to end up in the most dangerous schools in existence?"

"Hey, it's how I turned out the way I am now." He says while eating his food as if he didn't just say something out of the ordinary.

Andy typed something into his phone then showed. "You're friend might be a little insane."

"I've noticed." You say.

You were pretty much used to Pico living such a crazy life and sometimes believe that it's a miracle he's even alive. You really think that he should have been called the Ultimate Survivor or something. Or maybe even give him the Ultimate Lucky Student or something since he should be lucky to even be alive.

What you didn't know is that while the girl's friends were talking to each other, she was taking glances towards you while you talked to your friends. She couldn't help but blush hard just watching you. She even smiled a bit while rubbing her arms from the sight of you.

The other two next to you didn't matter to her, nor that she couldn't hear what you were talking about. There was just something about you that she couldn't get enough of a view if. Maybe she thought Byakuya looked handsome, but he never gave her such pleasure just by looks alone.

She quickly stopped when she heard her friend with the swirly hair asked "Hey, uh, Toko, are you sure you're feeling alright?"

"H-Huh? What?" She said.

"Ya know, about Byakuya not being here."

"O-Oh... y-yeah, I uh... I-I'm fine."

"Are you sure? You did love him a lot." The girl with long blue hair says.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine."

"It's okay, I-I'm fine, really."

They thought she was lying, especially since she loved him so much, but decided not to bother her about it. However, she the only lie she was making, was the lie of acting upset that he was gone. More or less, her eyes were on you now and she could care less about him. It didn't matter whether you were a first year, and she was a third.

Fantasies already were forming in her head about you and all other things... of course, she couldn't hear what you were saying and she was thankful she was able to keep herself composed, especially around a large amount of students in the area.

Needless to say, she got a look at you in what she considered a nice angle. Then again, she might change her mind and say another view of you would be a nice or even better angle. And this entire time, you were completely oblivious to what she currently was doing, but that was what she was happy about since she didn't want you to know at first.

Now it was time to get back to classes. You were wondering what the teacher might do to not care about what the students do in this class while you had your notes ready to jot down this time. Even if the rest of class wouldn't be listening, you wouldn't let them distract you this time.

"The food was actually pretty good. Better than I thought anyway. Even if this is said to be one of the best schools ever, I kinda expected them to have bad food." Pico says.

"Does bad food in your old schools include having bullets in them?" You jokingly.

"Nah, of course not." He chuckled as you chuckled back. "They only get bullets in them when people start a fight in the cafeteria." He then says as your eyes widened.

You slowly turned your head to him and said the following. "... Have I ever told you how shocked I am to see that you're still alive?"

"... Hmmm, I think about a few times. Maybe more than that."

"Whatcha guys talking about?" You both jumped and turned, seeing a girl in very Robin Hood-ish clothing behind you.

"Oh, we're talking about old school stuff. Nothing special." Pico tells her.

"Oh, that's cool. I was mostly homeschooled, so I can't really say I can relate too well, but I do like hearing other friends' experience in school." She tells us.

"Alright... what's with the getup?"

"You don't know? I'm the Ultimate Archer?" She tells us as you just look at her.

"Oh, I get it now." You say.

"Right? My name is Annie Nevermore, nice to meet ya." She then says holding her hand up.

"(Y/N) (L/N). Sorry, I wasn't listening during attendance."

"It's alright, I kinda forgot some of your talents." She says before holding her hand out to the orange-haired boy.

"... Pico Grounds. Ultimate Gangster." He says while shaking her hand.

"Oooh, gangster, huh? Got a boy from the streets?" She jokingly says.

"You bet. Best of the best."

"Cool. And you're, uh..."

"Ultimate Lucky Student." You say.

"Guess, 'Lucky' you then." She joked. You just stared at her, internally cringing at the joke and just awkwardly laugh. "It's bad, I know. Just like to make some jokes every now and then, bad or not."

"Got it. Doesn't hurt to try."

"Just wanna get to know my classmates some more while I'm here." She says with a smile.

"You know, now that you mention it, we haven't really gotten to know our classmates. All we know is their talents from attendance. We should probably get to know the others." You say as Pico looked up in thought.

"Eh, what the heck? Might as well. I mean, it's the first class I had that has more than three people who aren't assholes." Pico then says which made Annie look confused.

"What is he talking about?" She asked.

"D-Don't worry about it." You quickly brushed it off.

"Alright, settle down, class!" They heard yelling and turned, seeing the teacher enter the room. "My name is Kiyotaka Ishimaru, and I will be your teacher!" He yelled out again. "I've heard about what happened during your last class, and I will not accept such behavior IN MY CLASS! You will behave and you will focus."

He turned to the board away from the class and started writing what the lesson. You wondered why he kept yelling like that. What kind of issues does this guy have.

"Yep, definitely the former Ultimate Moral Compass." Pico says as you turned towards him. "He's the most strict teacher here in the school. Been like that since he was a student here."

"No talking in class!" The teacher yelled before noticing the boy's position. "GET YOUR FEET OFF THE TABLE!!!" He then yelled as he quickly let his feet down and slouched. "SIT UP STRAIGHT!" Then he sat up straight. "And you! Go sit down!" Annie ran to her seat, nearly fell in the process. "Alright, now tha... No pets in the class!" He then yelled at the girl with cats.

"What!? But I'm the Ultimate Cat Caregiver." She argued back.

"No excuses! I will not allow ANY distractions in this class!"

The girl sighed before taking out her cat carrier. "Come on sweeties, get on in." The cats meowed. "I know, I know you don't like to go inside there, but mommy can't have you out during class. Please go in." She says as the cats hesitantly went inside and she put it down.

"Good, now take off those boxing gloves!" Kiyotaka then yelled as the boxing boy didn't even argue and took off the gloves. "Good, now we can begin."

"I hate this teacher alrea-" Pico was saying.

"WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT TALKING!" Everyone flinched and froze as he stared for a second. "Anyways, let's finally get started."

After the little freak out and yelling, he started acting normal, kind and friendly for the class. No one dared to act up and trigger his bad side. Of course, you didn't care about it cause you weren't planning on doing anything that'd make him angry and it meant you could at least focus in that class.

The class was pretty chill after that and we were able to finish without really any problems. The bell rang and you and Pico stepped out of the classroom. You sighed while the orange-haired looked a little crazed.

"... I should've just shot him." He then says.

"Pico, NO!" You say while pointing at him.

"That... was the most weirdest class I've ever been to." Annie says as Andy walked out while nodding.

"Yeah, already hate that teacher. Being strict is one thing, but he takes it way too far." The orange-haired boy stated.

"I mean, I don't exactly blame him. But yeah, he kinda overdid it a bit." You say.

"At the very least, he's got a nice side to him. Thankfully." Annie says.

"Pray to god that there aren't any more of them after this... at least, not like him anyway." Pico also says. "Let's get going. We got some more classes to suffer through before the end of the day."

He wasn't wrong, there was still at the very least two classes to get by before the day would be over. Thankfully, the first of the last classes didn't have anyone as strict as Kiyotaka's and people still behaved fine in that class for fear of the teacher being like him so you didn't need to worry about losing track of anything.

On the way to their final class, you had a strange feeling and turned around. There was the hallway and lockers, but that's all there was, nothing else. The strange feeling went away and you shrugged it off before going in, ready to end the day.

"Hello there, good to see you class, nice to meet you. My name is Koichi Kizakura, and I will be your teacher for the last class. Now..." The man says as he takes out a book, but then his face sours from what he saw in it. "... Hold on... Oh wow, this is gonna get pretty boring, um..." He then closes the book before tossing it. "Ya know what, free period everyone. Have a nice last class of school."

He pulled out a bottle of alcohol and walked out of the room. We just sat there still processing what just happened, then... "OH THANK GOD! I needed this after what Mr. Ishimaru did." The boxing boy says.

"Alright, come on out babies, you don't need to stay in here anymore." The cat girl says as she takes her cats out of the carrier.

"Welp, that's another irresponsible teacher to take note of." The butler boy says with a hand on his face.

Andy shrugged and took out a Switch to play a game during the period. "Hey, watcha playin?" The girl in front of him asked as she was leaning over. "Can I play?" She then asked excitedly.

He didn't say anything and gestured for her to come over. She in a quick fashion picked her chair up over her head and sprinted over before putting it next to him and sat down while still bouncing slightly. He took off the controllers and gave her one as he set it on his table.

"Welp, I'm gonna catch up on my nap." Annie says as she put her arms on her table and took a nap.

"If it's a free period, I'm gonna head down to the labs and see if I can make something." The boy who was the Ultimate Filmmaker says as he takes his camera and leaves the room.

"Ya know what, me too. I need to get some training done myself." The boxer says while going out as well.

"Labs?" You asked, curious.

"Oh yeah, apparently while here, we have these things known as labs that have designs tailored to what our talents are. I think I might have an idea what his is like." Pico explained.

"Really?"

"Yeah, it didn't have these before, it's just a new thing they're trying this year. Kinda makes me curious what mine will look like."

"Huh... ya know I think I'm curious too." Then the butler boy came by with a broom. "What are you doing?"

"Even if we have an irresponsible teacher, I still wish to see to it that the room is clean before he comes back." He explained. "This place is disgusting."

"Oh yeah, you're the Ultimate Butler, right?" Pico asked.

"Of course I am. It is my duty to serve anyone at all times." He tells us as I get a good look at him. "Tenar Kirito. Nice to meet you."

"Well, nice to meet you, Tenar. I'm (Y/N) (L/N)." You tell him.

"I know, you're the Ultimate Lucky Student. And I believe you're the Ultimate Gangster, Pico Grounds." He then says as he looks towards said boy.

"Yeah, that's me."

"Good to be sure. Personally I find it better to know my fellow classmates so that I know who I shall be serving for the school year. So, if you ever require my service, I will be happy to comply with any... reasonable requests."

"Alright, thanks for the info." Tenar bowed and went to continue cleaning the classroom and would eventually move onto to cleaning the windows. "Talk about being dedicated to your talent."

"Well, if he doesn't have a problem with it, whatever works for him." You say before you felt something fluffy rub against your face. "H-Hey, what the?" You laughed a bit because of how it tickled.

"Timber, come here." You heard before seeing what was rubbing against your face was a white cat before he got off and hopped to the desk with the cat lover. "Good boy. Sorry, he loves meeting new people. He makes friends easily."

"It's alright. He is cute."

"Thanks. Oh by the way, I'm of course the Ultimate Cat Caregiver as you've heard." She said before holding her hand out. "Janet Winston."

"Well, you should know that I'm the Ultimate Lucky Student." You say while shaking her hand. "(Y/N) (L/N). Nice to meet ya."

"Pico Grounds. Ultimate Gangster." Pico spoke up. "As we've been saying for the past few minutes."

"Nice to meet you too. I'm just curious, how did you get your titles?" She then asked.

"Cause I'm awesome." Your friend says with a smirk.

You just rolled your eyes. "I uh... won in a lottery."

"Oh, that is lucky! Congrats!" She then says with a smile.

"It's not really anything special. But yeah, I guess I am pretty lucky after all."

She smiled before her cat jumped back over to your desk. "Timber!"

"No, it's fine don't worry about it." You say before stroking the cat's head down to his back as he sat and purred from your touch. "Heh, cute."

"He's always like that when anyone pets him. My other cats are good with people too, but Timber's the quickest to warm-up to anyone." She says as Pico got up and walked over.

"What about this one here?" He says while pointing at a ginger colored cat on her shoulder who sniffed his finger.

"That's Peanut, he's a sniffer." She explained as he tried to pet the cat, but he moved his head away. "Just give him some time. I'm sure he'll be alright with you in no time." Then she held up the last cat which was white with brown and black spots. "Bean is the hardest one to gain trust over. She can't be anywhere without her mommy, now can she?" She says while cuddling with the cat.

"It's a nice little variety." You say while still petting the cat that had curled up on your desk. "I would be surprised that animals would be allowed in this school, but after all the other things I've seen, not so much. No offense."

"None taken. You wouldn't be the first."

"So, do they not like being inside that?" You asked, referring to the cat carrier.

"Yeah, it gets pretty uncomfortable for them. I only take it around cause I can't just carry them around the school around. A shame really, especially since they're well behaved and I have trained them well."

"Guess they need to make some boundaries somewhere."

"Well, at least they can be out during classes. I would've thought someone would've told Mr. Ishimaru about it."

"I mean, he seems like a dick to be honest. Ya think the former Ultimate Moral Compass would at the very least know yelling 'is not welcome in a school environment'." Pico then says, the last part mockingly.

You and Janet chuckled a bit before you straighten. "Okay, that's just mean now. And uncalled for."

"It's completely called for. Didn't ya hear'em screaming like a maniac earlier about school rules?"

"I kinda have to agree with Grounds here." The cat lover then says. "Like we've been talking about, he does seem to go overboard."

"Right?"

This made you sweat a bit, but you couldn't help but smile. Disagreements about the teachers aside, you've gotten to know a few of your classmates which you believed was a good. Maybe you could even get some help with some things from the third or second years if you have trouble with some work sometime.

Safe to say, that day ended on a good note and as you left with Pico you had a smile on your face as you actually enjoyed your first day. With Pico, he didn't really care about how the day went, but that was just how he was so you paid no mind.

You decided to go home with him and boot up your switch and decided to play online against a few random players on a team together. You always picked (Main) cause it was the one character you played best at while Pico chose Wolf, due to having a blaster.

"Come on, come on! No, no. Oh, I gotcha this time." He says, getting into competitive mode.

"Careful, these guys are a force to be-DUDE ON YOUR LEFT!" You called as he quickly turned and activated his reflected which hit an fully charge blast back at Samus, knocking her off the stage.

"Yeah! Take that ya Iron Man knock-off!" He says. "Thanks for the backup."

"No probs man."

The duo of yourselves then started having a bit of trouble dealing with the opponents. Your friend was especially getting angry from getting beaten down. Then you started working together to double team them, pulling off many combos with your characters. Smiles were put on your faces as you saw yourselves finally getting the advantage against them.

"Now we're getting somewhere." Pico says.

"Almost, almost..." You say.

"Go, go, go..." And finally you both took them out and won. "YES! YES! We did it! WOOOOO!"

"That's right!" With that, you gave him a high five and had a laugh afterwards.

"Ahh, good times."

"Yeah. Good times."

He looked over to you and asked the question. "So, how was your first day of Hope's Peak Academy?"

"Well, can't say it was really bad. It was pretty nice to get to know some of our classmates. It was also pretty nice to know we have some good food for lunch there. There's also a lot of other people we could get to know as well. Maybe even some people from the other classes."

"Don't blame ya. That archer chick seems kinda nice as well as that other girl... what was she called?"

"Ultimate Cat Caregiver?"

"Uh, yeah, her. She also seems nice and I kinda like those cats of hers. Maybe we could get that gamer boy to join us in a game sometime."

"Andy does seem nice. I feel bad because of how Mr. Irrelevant treated him."

"That asshole should know that he's mute. I think he's just a dick."

"... Isn't that kinda something you'd get reported for?"

"I think if it keeps up anyway. Teacher's shouldn't exactly be singling a student out for not being able to talk. If it really continues, maybe we could report him. The one guy I don't like is that Ishimaru dude."

"As long as you stay on his good side, he seems alright."

"Well you're not wrong on that. But, I wanna ask something." Pico then says as he sits up. "What do ya think of the girls there? Any catch your eye?"

"Can't really say there is to be honest. I mean, there are some girls that looked kinda nice, but none that I'm really into, honestly."

"Well what about that girl you ran into at the front of the school?"

"I mean, I guess I could try to go for her. Won't I get some weird looks if anyone were to find out I was dating a third year?"

"They shouldn't. And if they do, fuck'em. They'd just do that cause they couldn't get girlfriends themselves."

You thought about it for a moment. "Yeah you're right, it's not my fault that they can't get girlfriends themselves."

"Right? So don't worry about it." Pico then looked at the time. "I should probably get going. See ya around, man."

"Yeah, see ya tomorrow." You say as he left your apartment.

Then you looked up at the ceiling. Of course there was the thought of love before. You weren't particularly in a rush to be in a relationship, but you did think about getting with some girls in the past. Unfortunately, you couldn't exactly land a date with anyone really.

You had tried going out with two different girls at some point, but it didn't really work out... more or less, you didn't even score one date with them. But that was fine for you. You could care less about those past times. Maybe this time, you can actually work something out. Like what Pico said, maybe that third-year could be a nice girl to go on a date with.

At the very least, you should at least try, right? For now, you were pretty tired right now though and worry more about that stuff tomorrow. You went up to bed and laid down. Tomorrow was gonna be a good day. That was something you were hoping for.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, something more interesting was taking place. The girl you saw as a third-year, Toko was currently sitting in her room sewing together a plush doll version of you which was halfway finished. Next to her was several pictures she had taken of you for her album.

Her room was somewhat empty now that she had gotten rid of other things from the pervious boy she had an obsession with. Now her obsession was with you and she had only just began with one plush so far, she was gonna make more than that. Especially from the fact that she was giggling.

After she had gotten done with her plush doll of you and looked it over to make sure she didn't get anything wrong. When she was sure, her smile widened and she hugged it. She laid down with the doll and held it closely. At the very least, she had something to remind of her of you.

During her stalking trip at school, she had learned a few more things about you and your friendship with the orange haired boy. She did sneer at the fact that you talked to the girls in your class, but as long as they don't do anything she wouldn't have to get her hands... 'dirty'.

The idea was kinda laughable. Genocide Jack, killing a girl, would anyone believe such a thing? But then again, she'll have to make exceptions if she wants to have you to herself. It didn't matter if she had to switch things up, and besides, maybe having so many girls around was the reason she couldn't get with Byakuya. ...Yeah, not that or he was just an ass or anything.

She'd even put up with the sight of blood if she had to. Unless she passes out then Jack comes out, but even she shared the same feelings for you so it wouldn't matter either way. So, from that point, she'll have to make sure that you were hers and she will kill just to have you.

To be continued...
