Umi's POV

The next day.

I walk to training ground 1 and I sit and wait since I'm an hour early, I doze off until then.

"GAH! SHE'S DEAD!"

I jump and immediately pull out a kunai. "Who's dead?" I ask, slightly alarmed and all three of my students snicker. "Well shit." I say and I put the Kunai away. I look at the three students and I immediately throw a kunai into a tree, surprising them and Kakashi jumps down. "You bastard." I say to him and Kakashi laughs nervously.

"Wow two colorful words in five minutes, think I know our Sensei's language guys." Haru says sarcastically and my eye twitches.

"Kakashi, mind telling me why your here? Or, should I have to force it out of you?" I ask him.

"Everyone knows I'm the stronger one between the two of us Ami, you couldn't force it out of me, how do you think I escaped you every time I accidentally interfered with your missions?" Kakashi asks with a closed eyed smile.

I kick him where the sun does not shine and he turns really pale, I kick his shin and force him to the ground. "Who said you were stronger? If I'm correct, you could never beat my Father, the fourth Hokage and your teacher." I say with a smirk.

"Oh man, our sensei is scary. She took the Hokage down in two hits." Lilac says as she hides behind her brother.

"You couldn't beat your father either, even if you tried, you wouldn't be able to defeat Naruto one on one and you've got the advantage on him since your a girl." Kakashi says with a smile and I raise an eyebrow, clearly unamused.

"You think I'd fight my brother? That's idiocy, I'd fight Sasuke since he's a jerk with a emo attitude, but I wouldn't fight Naruto, not even if we were on opposite sides of the battlefield and the last ones standing. You'd have to kill me, but, you can't." I say to Kakashi and he shivers at the loyalty.

"You've been around the Inuzuka's too much." Kakashi says to me.

"Ok, time for you to go bye-bye." I say and I throw Kakashi as far as possible. I look at my students as I think.

Teamwork, lets see, do they have it? Well I'm a solo Jonin, I don't use Teamwork, but they're Genin.

"Your test is to play a prank on me, you have one week, if you manage to startle me, you pass and I'll teach you." I say and the three sweat drop.

"A prank? We're Genin now." Haru says to me and I smirk and I holdup three fingers, and I take them down one at a time and once the last one is down, we hear a scream and I laugh. "What was that?" Haru asks.

I look at them. "Oh, I set up a prank last night in Ino's Flower Shop, oh man, that's the best." I say and I send a clone to make sure she's alright, it was a simple water bucket over the door trick.

"Your a Jonin and your playing pranks?" Haru asks, slightly disgusted at the fact.

I smile amused. "Yep, well, it is fun and I have quite a few pranks lined up during the winter. Besides, if I don't, who's gonna laugh, I guarantee Ino's laughing right now." I say as I do a few hand signs and my Byakugan activates and I search for Ino's chakra and I snicker since her chakra tells me she's laughing. "Ah, the joy, now, you have one week to prank me, if you fail, you go back to the academy to learn how to have fun." I say to them with a smirk and I walk out of the training grounds and to Ino's Flower Shop with my Byakugan deactivated.

"Was that water bucket prank yours?" Ino asks me as she smiles.

I snicker and nod. "Yup." I say and she laughs as she points to Shikamaru who's soaking wet and I laugh. "Wait, who did the scream come from then?" I ask and Ino points to herself.

"I got scared when I realized something was crashing down on Shikamaru." Ino says to me. "You did a good job making us laugh, as usual." Ino says to me with a smile.

I grin. "Hey, I just find this as fun, I told my students that they have one week to prank me, if they don't do a good prank, then they go back to the academy to learn how to have fun." I say and Ino smiles amused.

"You think they'll do it?" Shikamaru asks with a raised eyebrow.

I shrug. "Who knows." I say and Shikamaru just sighs and leaves to get dry and I help Ino out with her Flower Shop.

"Shouldn't you be doing something else?" Ino asks me.

"Nope, Kiba's on a mission with Shino, Naruto and Hinata are busy doing something, it's one of the off days at the clinic, only Tora is going in today for just a check up and Hana can handle her, Coco is being lazy today, I don't do that many missions since there hasn't been too many bad things happening as of late, so, nope, I'm free today." I say and Ino nods.

"Hey, isn't your and Naruto's birthday coming up?" Ino asks me.

I think. "I dunno, is it?" I ask and Ino checks.

"Yes, it's the fifth today so five more days till your birthday." Ino says to me with a smile.

I shrug. "Ok, if you say so, I'm gonna go find a hill to relax on, or one of the Hokage faces." I say and Ino looks at me confused.

"Your not excited for your birthday?" Ino asks me.

"Its just another day to remind me that I'm getting old." I say to her.

"Yeah, that's true, but do you even celebrate your birthday?" Ino asks me.

I raise an eyebrow. "Yeah, I find a quiet place and I read a new series until the day is over and at the end of the day I go to a bakery and by myself a piece of cake. I don't make a big deal over getting old." I say to her and Ino facepalms and shoo's me out of shop.

I walk around town, dodging really bad pranks. I find a quiet hill and I lay down under the tree.

'That is the most boring way to spend a birthday.'

Oh yeah? Last I checked you didn't know how to spend a birthday, all you did was train and fight.

'Touché.'

I watch the clouds for a while and I just relax.

"Really? Of all the things you do, you choose to slack off?"

I glance over to see Haru. I roll my eyes as I get up. "Follow me kid, I'll show you that I can afford to 'slack off'." I say and he follows me into the forest and to a brook. I bend down and put my hand over the water and I pull up, taking the water with me. "This isn't a Kekkie Genkai, this is pure hard work that I put in all throughout my childhood and early teenage years. I don't regret training till I dropped and pushing myself, but, this is a time of peace, I don't want kids to push themselves too hard, you have years ahead of you to get better, but that doesn't mean I don't want you train, I do, but if you stress too much over it like I did, your hair will get dull and you get wrinkles faster and you lose years off your life." I say to Haru and he just tch's.

"Anyone can do that. You just have to focus chakra to your hand." Haru says as he tries, but fails.

"It's not as simple as you think." I say and I chop the water that I'm holding that is connected to the brook, in half and I hold the water between my hands. "Like I told you, it took me years before I perfected this." I say and I hold the water above his head and I let it go, it splashes on him and I smile. "Now, I'm gonna go back to what I was doing, so I don't stress my hair too much." I say and Haru scowls at me and I walk up to the Hokage faces and I sit on a random head, looking out over the Hidden Leaf Village.

I close my eyes and I focus on trying to enhance my hearing abilities.

"Why that stupid Sensei of mine, she's just showing off. She thinks she's had a hard life?" I hear Haru mutter to himself and I frown at those words.

"Hard life? You got no idea, your not a Jinchuriki so you wouldn't know the hate or scorn Ami went through he entire life, she didn't know her parents or Naruto for most of her life." I hear Sakura say, slightly annoyed at him.

I raise an eyebrow as I focus on the conversation.

"What? Why are you sticking up for her?" Haru asks irritated.

"Because, she's my friend, she's probably trying to relax right now, she trains every day, even if she's just relaxing, she's always focusing on what's around her, that's why your test is to prank her, it's next to impossible to get her, you'll figure it out, if your smart, you could be a total idiot like Naruto for all I know." Sakura says to him and I smile slightly.

"Friends? She looks like the type to like being alone." Haru says to her and I sigh.

"You'd be surprised." Sakura says and I hear her walk away.

"Grr, why can't I figure my Sensei out? How did that one guy do it? Maybe I'll ask him." Haru grumbles.

I open my eyes and I stare at the village for a while before someone sits next to me, I glance over to see Naruto there.

"You know, I thought you would be here, I wanted to talk to you." Naruto says to me.

"What'd you want to talk about?" I ask him.

"You know how our birthday is in a couple days and how you just find somewhere to hide and you read?" Naruto asks me.

"I know where this is going, I'm not going all out and full on partying on our birthday, that day is the one day I get full peace and quiet for 24 hours." I say to him and Naruto pins me to the ground.

"Your spending the day with me and my friends, whether you want to or not, remember, I know your hiding spot." Naruto says with a grin.

"No, and remove your hands before I kick you in the balls, I'm not going out of my comfort zone by partying, now, if you'll excuse me, I think my relaxing area is getting crowded, so I'm gonna go and find another place to relax." I say and I get out of Naruto's grasp and I slide down the mountain and on to the walls that surround the village.

I don't want to party, I get one day to myself, one and they want me to spend it partying, I guarantee they all are gonna get drunk, I guarantee it, so, it's best I hide anyways.

'Yeah, you don't want someone to spike your drink.'

Definitely not.

"Ami!" Naruto whines as he follows me.

"I am not going to celebrate my birthday with a huge party, I'd like to keep my 24 hours of peace and quiet that I use on my birthday." I say to him.

"Come, on, please?" Naruto asks me as we walk through the village while I have my arms crossed over my chest.

"No." I reply and we pass my students while Naruto continues to ask me and I continue to say no.

"Sensei!" Lilac yells. "Go to the party!"

I speed my walk up to a jog, getting irritated.

"BABE, WHATCH OUT!" Kiba yells and I side step him and Akamaru and a swarm of bugs. "THANKS!" Kiba yells back.

I just wave and continue jogging while Naruto continues to ask me and I continue to say no.

"Please?" Naruto begs.

"No, I'm more stubborn than a mule, your not getting me to go to a party." I say to him and I jump up onto a roof and I start running while Naruto chases me.

Damn he's persistent.

"Lets make a bet Naruto, if we do a simple spare, no chakra or Jutsu aloud, not even my Byakugan or your sage mode, is aloud and I win, I get my 24 hours of peace and quiet, if you win, I'll come to the party." I say as I stop and turn to face him.

"You sure you want to make that bet? I never give up." Naruto asks as I hold out my hand.

"Then we'll be sparing for a while then, because once I make up my mind, there's no changing it." I say to him and Naruto smirks and takes my hand, I enclose his hand in both my hands and I spin on my heel, throwing him. "The spar starts whenever and where ever." I say to Naruto as he comes back at me and I dodge his blows with ease.

"What the? What's going on?"

Me and Naruto freeze. "I'm trying to get Ami to go to our birthday party that I'll be holding in a couple days and she kept saying no, so now, we're having a spar to determine whether or not she's coming, if I lose, she gets to spend her 24 hours reading, if she loses, she has to come." Naruto says with a grin.

"Babe?" Kiba asks.

I just shrug. "I just want to spend my birthday the way I normally do, I could care less about celebrating me getting old." I say and Kiba smirks.

"Fine, I'm joining Naruto's side, you'll have to fight both of us." Kiba says to me.

I dodge their attacks. "Really? I have to fight both of you?" I ask and they nod and I sigh. I flip off the roof and I run down the streets and up into Kakashi's office, scaring him and Shikamaru as I dodge the two's attacks. "Damn, this is too cramped." I say and Kakashi looks at us shocked.

"What are you doing?" Kakashi asks.

"Uh, Kiba, Naruto, you stay and explain while I get a head start as I get out of this building." I say and I dash out the door while them being stupid, they stay to explain before realizing they should be chasing me.

I make it down the steps and I and I continue running, purposely going into a crowded area so its harder to see me, but with Kiba's nose, I can't hide anywhere. I run to one of the training grounds and I continue sparring against the two and soon enough I get my chance to hit them and I stop my fist, millimeters from Kiba's face as he waits for impact, but that doesn't happen.

"I should have just kept my mouth shut and not start this bet in the first place, the second those words left my mouth was the second I lost." I say as I breath a little heavy and Naruto smirks as he holds his hand against my neck.

"You done?" Naruto asks and I hold my hands up in surrender. "YEAH, KIBA, WE WON!" Naruto says as he dances happily.

Kiba looks at me shocked. "You didn't hit me."

"Hell would have to freeze over before I hit the two people who mean more than the world to me." I say and I sit down against a tree to catch my breath. I frown slightly as I watch Naruto dance in victory.

'Damn, you froze, you couldn't hit them.'

I know, I should have never made the damn bet. Oh well, at least Naruto and Kiba are happy.

'You'd go that far just to see them happy?'

Yeah, well Kiba's my boyfriend and Naruto's my brother, I couldn't hurt either of them.

"Hey Babe, you ok that you lost?" Kiba asks me and I smile at him.

"Its fine, Naruto wants this really bad, I can always postpone my 24 hours." I say to Kiba and he sits next to me.

"You sure?" Kiba asks me.

"Kiba, I said it was fine, besides, I'm pretty sure Temari is coming with her brothers and she scares me, she'll drag me out of my hiding spot anyways, I wouldn't even have a chance against her, she's more intimidating than Tsume and me in the morning." I say with a sweat drop. "But we get along pretty well, she's not that bad unless you against something that she wants to do, then she turns into an alpha female of all alpha females." I say and Kiba puts his arm around my shoulders.

"If it was an actual fight with Jutsu and Chakra, we would have lost, you couldn't hit us because your kind Ami, a lot of people like that about you." Kiba says to me as I lean my head against his shoulder.

"I'm just gonna take a nap, that was exhausting." I say and Kiba chuckles as I close my eyes.

"Well we are up early every day and you do more work than I do, so, you deserve this." Kiba says to me and I fall asleep, even though its only 9 o'clock at night.
