Umi's POV

2 or so weeks later

I finish my morning run and I stand in the center of the Hidden Silence. "Alright everyone, now that we've built the hospital, the academy, filled out town with more houses, have a steady Shinobi system, I believe my work here is almost done." I say to the crowd around me.

"WHHAAATTTT! NOOOO!" The kids yell disappointed as they run over to me and hug me, not letting go.

I smile at them. "Don't worry, I'm still gonna be doing a lot for your village, even if I'm not here, besides, if you guy's need help, don't hesitate to send a message, I've got my duties to the Hidden Leaf, you guys are the future of the Hidden Silence, now, this entire week I've had people vote for who they want to be their leader, I counted the votes last night. The new leader of the Hidden Silence is Chey Umi." I announce as a woman with light sandy colored hair that ends at her waist, blue eyes and a kind smile walks up to me. "Congrats." I say and she hugs me.

"Thank you Ami, we could never repay the kindness you've shown up throughout the past 2 months. Pushing us to our best, training us to be better people. You will always be welcome through our gates." Chey says as she steps back. "Now go on home, you've got work to do there too, not to mention a man that's looking forward to spending time with you." Chey says with a smirk as she remembers Kiba and Akamaru who came and help with building for a couple days.

I blush slightly. "That's not fair Chey, it's not like you and Jamie don't have anything going on." I say and the both of them blush and we get into our normal argument of the morning.

"Ok break it up you two." 

I look over to see Sasuke. "WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?" Me and Chey yell as we point at him.

"Your parents ever taught you that pointing is rude?" Sasuke asks and I wince slightly.

"That's not fair Sasuke, I was raised by four men, my parents weren't there to raise me." I say as I cross my arms over my chest and I stand up straight, making me stare him in the eye.

"They still should have taught you right. So where are your manners?" Sasuke asks me.

I tch and turn away annoyed. "Why are you here Sasuke?" I ask him.

"I just wanted to see how well you did." Sasuke says with a smirk.

I roll my eyes. "Ok, Chey, I leave this place in your hands, you know the responsibilities of a leader, you've watched me and stood in when I couldn't, I'm gonna go pack my stuff up." I say with a smile and the Kids hug me again.

"Please don't leave, your the best babysitter we've ever had." They say to me.

"Oh come on, I'm not that good." I say and pat their heads with a smile. "Now, I need to pack, but don't worry, I'll come back and visit, besides, in about a year or so, most of you will be Genin and I can recommend to invite the Hidden Silence, you'll see me again." I say and Chey nods grateful.

"I will contact you if I need help, but I will try and do everything I can for this village." Chey promises me.

I nod. "Don't be afraid to ask for my help, I won't bite." I say and I walk to the apartment I was staying in and I pack while Sasuke watches me. "What are you really here for Sasuke? Your not the type to make sure I'm doing a good job, your more nitpicky than that." I say to him.

"What, can't a older brother check on his younger sister?" Sasuke asks me.

I snort. "Yeah right, sure think what you want, whatever your about to ask of me, the answers no, I'm looking forward to spending time in my apartment, not to mention I have my duties back in the Hidden Leaf." I say to him.

"Well I just wanted to let you know that the Raikage is in the Hidden Leaf right now looking for you, he doesn't know what your doing at the moment." Sasuke says to me and my blood turns cold and I freeze in my spot you can nearly trace the fear in my eyes before I sigh and finish packing.

"Well, what's done is done, I can't change the past." I say, already knowing what Uncle will say about what I did. I grab my bag and walk out the door with Sasuke next to me and we walk to the gates where I see everyone there, I raise an eyebrow in confusion.

"We're gonna miss you." The kids cry, snot nosed and teary eyed.

I bend down and I look at them. "Hold your chins high, saying goodbye is part of life, remember how I walk, I hold my head high and I stand proud, but that's because I've said goodbye to many and hello to more. Don't be sad, this isn't the last you'll see of me." I say to them with a closed eyed, kind, warm smile.

"You promise?" A girl with dusty colored hair asks me.

I nod. "I promise Rika, now, I have to go before I get even more scolded by my so called Uncle who I'm pretty sure does not approve of any of the my life choices up to the point of right now, I could so pick a fight with him, but I won't, I have more manners than that." I say as my eye unnoticeably twitches, I ruffle all the kids hair and I stand up. "Well, this isn't goodbye, it's just until we meet again." I say and the adults nod.

I wave goodbye as I walk and Sasuke walks beside me. "This next meeting is gonna be a pain in my ass, isn't it?" I ask and Sasuke nods.

"Hey, your almost 20, so technically he can't bother you now." Sasuke says to me.

I sigh. "A girl can only dream." I say and I take off to the Leaf and I make it within an hour, I trip on the same rock, roll into the same house and hear the same laugh. "I hate that rock." I say as I get up.

"Yes, but we love the entertainment." Izumo says to me. "So, you back for good?" Izumo asks me.

"Yeah, though I have a feeling I'm gonna regret leaving the Hidden Silence so quickly." I say and hear a stampede and I hide behind the desk Izumo and Kotesu share.

"Where did she go, she was in our sights." C whines.

I hold my breath and I wait for them to pass, but they don't, instead I get dragged out by Darui. "Shit." I say and get crushed while Izumo and Kotesu laugh at my predicament.

As soon as they let me go, I bolt all the way to my apartment and I climb in through the window and I lock it and I sit on my bed, instant regret hits me, realizing I was supposed to go to the Hokage office, so, I reluctantly run there and I walk in to see Kakashi, Uncle, Uncle B, Shizune, Lady Tsunade, and Shikamaru.

"Ami." Uncle B says with a smirk and I fist bump him before I look at Kakashi.

"You finished that quickly?" Kakashi asks me, slightly shocked.

I smirk. "I'd be disowning my name if I wasn't fast." I say to Kakashi and Uncle looks at me confused.

"She's been rebuilding the Land of Silence, making the main town into a Hidden Village, called the Hidden Silence, rouges go there to repent and protect, have families and keep the village and Land safe. Who's the new leader Lady Ami?" Shizune asks me.

"Chey Umi, and is everyone gonna start calling me that again?" I ask Shizune and she nods.

"I put the title on you now that your apart of the Leaf and have done a lot for it. You worked for the title." Lady Tsunade says with a smirk.

I look at Shikamaru who only smirks. "Your gonna hold this over my head, aren't you Shikamaru?" I ask and he nods. "Fine, technically we should call you Lord Shikamaru now that your head of the Nara Clan, and we should Kakashi Lord Kakashi, since he's Hokage." I say with a smirk and Lady Tsunade nods in agreement, making both the laid back guys, pale slightly with a nervous sweat drop.

"I think that's a good idea Lady Ami." Shizune says to me as I ignore the dark aura coming off Uncle in waves.

"You helped, rouges?" Uncle asks through gritted teeth and everything falls silent.

I sigh. "Yes I did, because I gave them that choice, they are human too." I say to Uncle and he scowls at me and I scowl back as we stand opposite each other with my arms crossed over my chest and him standing straight.

"What are you implying?" Uncle asks me.

"What do you think I'm implying?" I ask him and everyone watches the two of us.

"What happened to the kid who listened to me?" Uncle asks me.

"What happened to the Uncle who wasn't always this angry at me, if you want the answer, then what did I do to make you so angry at me? I believe I didn't do anything wrong, or have you always been angry at me? Is that why you always treated me like a weapon?" I ask him in a calm tone with a calm look in my eyes.

"She's gotten good at hiding her emotions." Uncle B says shocked.

I sigh and shake my head. "Like I'll ever get answer, anyways Kakashi, I came to tell you that the Hidden Silence is an official Shinobi Village, I had to talk to the Land's Feudal Lord about it first, she gave it the all clear, the alliance is set between the two villages as well." I say to him and Kakashi nods.

"You did a good job with the Hidden Silence Ami, when Kiba went there, he was shocked at how everyone was cooperating with each other, he said he saw the Silent Fire between them." Kakashi says to me with a closed eyed smile.

I nod in thanks. "The Leaf has the Will of Fire, the Hidden Silence has Hidden Silence, they work well together, they just needed someone to guide them for a while so they could get back on their feet after the 10 year incident with Gengo." I say to Kakashi and I walk towards the door. "Anyways, I deserve a break from telling people what to do, I think I'll go and relax for a while, you would never believe the stress my hair went through, I'm gonna get gray hair before I turn 30."

"Have you seen my hair?" Kakashi asks with a closed eyed smile.

"Your just old Kakashi, seriously, I'm 19 and my hair is dull, your like what 32? You hair was gray to begin with." I say to him and Lady Tsunade, Shizune and Shikamaru smirk at me.

"My hair used to be silver if you don't remember correctly." Kakashi asks me and I stand there thinking.

"No, I don't remember, I remember an old guy always butting in on my missions." I say and Kakashi's eye twitches in annoyance while I just give him a playful smile. "Your hair is silver Kakashi, but my hair is dull, I need to get it back to my sunny golden blonde color." I say and Uncle and Uncle B watch us.

"Why don't you just bleach it?" Kakashi asks me.

"No." I reply back. "I'll just give it a ton of care later, some relaxation and a long shower should help." I say and Shikamaru smirks.

"Your just as lazy as me, but you won't admit it." Shikamaru says to me.

"Hey I actually did something with my life, your just as smart as me, but not nearly as strong or as fast." I snap at him and Shikamaru's eye twitches slightly.

"I am doing something with my life." Shikamaru says to me.

"I'm doing my dream right now, I'm making a difference, with one act at a time, while your stressed out over paperwork." I say to Shikamaru and I smile at him. "Don't worry, Temari and you make a good couple, I can see it, you'll accomplish your dream, one way or another Shikamaru." I say with a smile as I walk out with a small wave.

"How do you know about that?" Shikamaru asks shocked.

I just ignore his question as I walk, I watch the sky as I wander through town and someone slings an arm around my shoulder.

"Your back."

I glance next to me to see messy brown hair, canines and red fang marks, Kiba. "Yep, and for good this time." I say with a small blush.

"Well, I have a question for you." Kiba says as he scratches his cheek with a small blush. "Would you like to maybe go out for Ramen or?" Kiba asks me.

I blush more and nod slightly. "Yeah, I don't see why not." I say to him as I look away in attempt to hide my blush. "Hey Kiba?" I ask and he hums for me to continue. "Do you think I did a good job in the Hidden Silence?" I ask him as I look ahead with almost a doubtful look in my eyes.

"Are you kidding me? Your doubting your work Ami? You made a huge difference to the Hidden Silence, you helped them so much more than anyone else, those kids practically adored you and the Silence Nin, they didn't complain once about what was happening. You did more good than anyone." Kiba says to me with a grin.

I smile slightly. "I'm glad someone thinks so, Uncle was against the entire thing, saying I helped Rouges, I could tell he was disappointed, he probably thinks I stooped pretty far down, I could tell he wasn't happy with my decision at all." I say and Kiba squeezes my shoulder slightly in comfort.

"Well the Leaf are pretty darn proud of you Ami, to the Hidden Silence, your a hero to them, and to the Leaf's Genin and Chunin, your a role-model, even to the children of the Leaf." Kiba says to me with a smirk and I nod in thanks.

"Damn straight we are." 

I look over to see Sakura. "Shit, did I forget to do something with you Sakura?" I ask her, slightly worried if I forgot to do something with her.

"You didn't forget to do anything with me, I'm just gonna take you to the spa to relax, your dinner date with Kiba can wait till tomorrow till your finally recovered, your still in your running clothes." Sakura says to me and I get dragged, but fortunately for me, Uncle won't go there, so I just follow Sakura.

"Wha? Hey, Sakura, that's not fair!" Kiba yells at her from where he stands.

I spend the day relaxing at the spa with Sakura and Ino who showed up out of nowhere, saying she had the day off from her flower shop.

"Look, I'm no girly girl, but damn that massage felt good, and they touched my hair up to back to it original color." I say to them as I rub the back of my neck.

"You needed to relax, you look a lot less tense." Ino says to me and I just shrug.

"I think I'm just gonna go lay on the roof of my apartment building to watch the stars, though a grassy hill would be better." I say and Sakura and Ino nod and we go separate ways.

I walk to my apartment building and I jump up onto the roof, only to see Uncle there, I just jump onto my balcony and into my apartment. I grab a pair of red and black plaid pajama shorts and a loose black sweatshirt. I change in my bathroom and then I walk to my kitchen and I make myself some food, knowing that someone is watching me, but, I don't care, I just eat at my counter and then I walk to my bedroom and grab a pair of black sandals and I put them on.

I walk to my balcony and I lean on the railing with half lidded eyes as I stare at the Hidden Leaf.

"So, this is where you belong then?" Uncle asks me from his position on the roof.

"I don't know where I belong, all I know is that I'm happy with where I'm at in life, I finally know more about my brother, I've made friends who didn't treat me like I was a monster or a weapon." I say to him in a calm tone with a small smile on my lips as I look at the Hidden Leaf.

"Is that all you wanted in life, to be accepted?" Uncle asks me. "You didn't want fame, fortune, a family?" Uncle asks me.

"I do want a family, one where I can look after, protect, cherish, not treat it as if it were dirt, I will be a good Mom, just like Kushina, my mother, wanted to be." I say and I look at Uncle. "Well, I'm gonna go find a good place to relax." I say with a smile and I jump up on the roof and I run across it and I jump from roof to roof and I make it to the Stone Faces and I lay on Dad's head.

Me and Kiba, eh? I like it.

'You two are cute together, I think you two should get married.'

I think, I'm just gonna relax and not think about that.

I ignore Cece in her attempts to talk to me about this subject. I watch the sky turn from blue to black with glittering stars and a few clouds. My eyelids start to get heavy after a while and I close them.

"Why are you up here?"

I open my eyes to see Kiba and I look at him. "Because I can be." I say and Kiba sighs.

"You could be in your bed." Kiba says to me and I hold a hand out for him and he takes it and pulls me up.

"Why don't we spend the night at your house instead, your always intruding into mine, why not let me come to yours?" I ask him and Kiba thinks about it for a second.

"If you don't mind being woken up by my Mother, then it's fine with me." Kiba says to me with a small shrug.

"I'm fine with that, I probably won't hear her though, I'm a deep sleeper." I say and Kiba smirks.

"Good." Kiba says and we walk to his house and his Mom stands outside the door and looks at me with a tense gaze and I crack a nervous smile at her intimidating features, while as Kiba looks at me shocked, I'm never this nervous. "She won't kill you." Kiba whispers in my ear.

I take a deep breath before I hold my hand out to her with a proud stance. "Hi, Mrs. Inuzuka, my name is Ami Uzumaki-Namikaze." I say to her as I match her intensified eyes with my own calm looking eyes.

She takes my hand in her own and she looks me in the eyes. "Tsume Inuzuka, I'm aware of who you are, Kiba won't shut up about how kind and cool you are." She says to me. "But, you don't look like someone who would be the type to have fun ." Tsume says to me.

I raise an eyebrow in a challenging way. "Yeah? Well you don't know me then." I say to her and Kiba sweat drops at us.

"Your challenging me?" Tsume asks.

"I can romp around more that a full grown wolf, I'm not some meesley kitten." I say to her and Tsume's grip gets tighter.

"That's not what your appearance says to me." Tsume says to me. "You've got tamed blonde hair, your clothes look like they were expensive." Tsume says to me.

"Actually, it took me forever to get my hair to cooperate with me, and these are my pajama's, they were 5 yen each." I say to her in a calm tone with a calm look. "I had four men raising me, I know how to have fun." I say and she smirks.

"Mom, please don't do what your about to do next." Kiba says to her and Tsume tackles me and we wrestle on the ground, I eventually win, pinning her down to the ground while breathing heavily.

"I'm not a pushover." I say in between breaths as I get up and I help her up. "But I'm also not a stuck up person who has to win everything, I let everyone have fair game." I say to Tsume and she nods.

"Kiba, I think you should marry this girl." Tsume says to him and our faces turn red. "I've heard of what she's done for the Hidden Silence, news spreads fast, not to mention, she's physically strong and smart and she's quick on her feet. She'd be perfect for you."

"We haven't even gotten that far in our relationship, neither of us are ready for that step yet." Kiba says quickly and I nod in agreement.

"Well I want Grandchildren, so get on with it." Tsume says to me and I'm not sure it's possible but my face got redder than Gaara's hair, Kiba's face too.

"Mrs. Tsume, could I have a glass of water?" I ask her and she lets me inside and shows me where the Kitchen is and Kiba follows. I get a glass of water and I toss the water at Kiba's face with a small snicker and his face cools off while Tsume laughs at this.

"Hey!" Kiba yells at me.

"Oh Shit." I say as Kiba gets himself a glass of water and I run out the door as Kiba follows me while smirking. I pass Hana and I wave. "Hi Hana." I say and she smiles in return.

I continue running and Kiba tackles me in the middle of the street and everyone looks at us.

"Ha, I caught you, you said you were fast." Kiba says with a smirk.

I push him off me. "Tag  your it." I say and I run down the street.

"THAT'S NOT FAIR!" Kiba yells as he follows me and I laugh.

I nearly crash into Hinata and Naruto, but I run on the side of the wall to avoid them. "LOOK OUT!" I yell as Kiba comes blundering down the street.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" Naruto yells at us.

"Tag." I explain quickly before I continue running.

"IN YOUR PAJAMA'S?" Naruto yells at me.

I only grin back. "It makes it more interesting." I say and I run into a telephone pole. "Ow." I say as I step back, rubbing my forehead.

"Caught you." Kiba says as he wraps his arms around me.

"That's not fair, I ran straight into a phone pole." I say as I pout slightly, making Kiba's cheeks turn a dusty pink.

"Have you had dinner yet?" Kiba asks me.

I shake my head and my stomach growls. "Does that answer your question?" I ask and Kiba chuckles.

"Well Ma has leftovers, we could raid the fridge, we'd probably get scolded, but, dinner was amazing tonight." Kiba says to me with a smirk and I smile.

"Fine, but I'm telling her it was your idea, if we get caught." I say to him and we basically raid the fridge and eat, then we fall asleep in his bedroom, how we normally do.
