Ami's POV

I stand in an arena place next to Orochimaru and Sasuke and I twirl a kunai on my finger.

"Now for the Uchiha Twins, Ami and Sasuke from Orochimaru against" 

I scowl at Orochimaru since I don't bother to listen to the rest of the announcers words. "I am anything but his twin!" I whisper yell at Orochimaru as to not draw attention to myself. "I hate his guts." I mutter.

"But you two work so well against people." Orochimaru says to me with a smirk.

I scowl at him but I walk down next to Sasuke anyway, even though I'm clearly annoyed. 

"Ah, the Uchiha twins, wait why is one blonde?" The announcer asks.

"I bleached my hair." I say as I roll my eyes.

"And why does she have blue eyes?" Another person asks.

"Blue contacts." I reply, starting to get annoyed. "Can we get this over with? I'm very ticked off at the moment." I say and me and Sasuke fight but get interrupted by exploding humans.

I do a few hand signs and I activate my Byakugan. I hit a few exploding humans in the chest with the gentle fist technique that I learned from Hinata, knocking them out and stopping all the chakra flow to keep them from exploding. I deactivate my Byakugan before anyone but Sasuke can see.

"That was fast, what happened?" Orochimaru asks.

"Nothing, just an attack of the exploding humans, be and Sasuke took care of it though." I say and I see everyone in the building gone along with Sasuke. "Shit, now I have to make syre everyone's ok." I mutter and I walk out of the building as I activate my Byakugan and I search for Sasuke's chakra, but I don't find it. I grumble and sit back inside for the longest time and a finally Sasuke gets back.

"What took you so long?" I ask him annoyed.

"You were right to be suspicious of the two." Sasuke says to me and he takes out all other Shinobi and then Darui and C appear.

I hide under a chair but too late I get dragged out and squeezed until I turn blue.

"Can't breath." I struggle to say and I get let loose and I fall on the ground.

"AMI! WE'VE MISSED YOU!" C yells in my ear as he cries anime waterfalls.

"And I've missed you, but DON'T YELL IN MY EAR!" I yell in his ear and he stands there dizzy.

"Ami."

I look up from my spot on the ground to see Uncle and I get up. "Uncle." We say as we stare each other in the eyes, the tension building in the room before I walk past him. "I'll see ya around Sasuke, snake face, C, Darui." I say as I walk out of the building with a wave.

"WHAAATTT! WE JUST GOT HERE!" C yells as he tries catching up to me.

I smile back at them. "I've skipped out on my duties enough just to stop this, besides, my brother and Hinata are getting married, I have to help them with stuff, so they can get their plans done." I say and I run all the way back to the Leaf, once I get there, I accidentally trip and I roll into a wall. "Ow." I mutter and Izumo and Kotesu fall on the ground laughing at me.

"That looked like it hurt." Izumo says while chuckling as he helps me up.

"I didn't feel a thing." I say and I limp slightly to Kakashi's office and I walk in. "Well, the whole exploding human thing is over." I say and Kakashi gives me a closed eyed smile.

"I see." Kakashi says and points behind me.

I groan and turn around to face the elders. "I can't believe this." I say and the elders smirk at me. "I'm going home, dealing with Sasuke and Orochimaru for a few days has made me lose too many brain cells, more than I thought possible. Not to mention I was just squished in the last hour by Darui and C. Until next time." I say and walk out with a mini scowl, only to get run over by Genin.

"Lady Ami!" Ebisu yells as he looks at my body on the ground. "Are you ok?" He asks as he freaks out.

I get up. "I didn't feel a thing, I'm fine." I say and I walk back to my apartment and I collapse on my bed.

"Get off, so heavy."

I roll off my bed and I sit up to scowl at Kiba from my sitting position on the ground. "What are you doing in my apartment?" I ask him and part of my bangs falls down between my eyes. Kiba smirks as he leans over the side of my bed and brushed my bangs out of my face.

"Kurenai wanted me to come get you so you could baby sit for her while she does some stuff since Hinata is busy with Naruto right now and Shino's busy with the new Genin, actually she wants me, you and Akamaru to babysit Mirai." Kiba says with a grin.

I get up and I walk to my bathroom. "Fine, but I'm changing first." I say to him.

"Why can't you change out here?" Kiba asks from my bedroom.

"Pervert." I say and I close the door and I change into a white short sleeve with the Uzumaki crest on the shoulders and black leggings with a black open jacket.

I walk out and Kiba's eyes turn to hearts as he looks at my outfit.

"Lets go." I say and I walk to my door and I put my Ninja sandals on.

"Right." Kiba says and follows me with Akamaru.

We walk to Kurenai's and she hands me Mirai.

"I need a night out, no matter how much I love Mirai, I just need one night to relax." Kurenai says in my ear so Mirai doesn't hear her.

"That's understandable." I say and she walks out of the house.

"Where's Mommy going?" Mirai asks me.

"She's gonna go hang out with her friends for a while so you, me, Kiba and Akamaru can hang out and have some fun." I say to her with a grin as I walk into the living room.

"Man she's good with kids." Kiba says as he watches me.

"What should we do first?" Mirai asks me.

"Hmm, well we could play a game, what games do you have Mirai?" I ask her.

"I don't know." She says shrugging her shoulders cutely.

"Your too cute, alright, lets go see if we can find your toys, Mommy probably cleaned them all up so she wouldn't trip, right?" I ask her and Mirai nods.

"Yeah, she says I make messes when I play." Mirai says to me.

I grin at her. "Don't worry, lets just play for a bit then it will be time to put you down for the night." I say to her and I play with Mirai, with the help of Kiba and Akamaru and once I see it's her bedtime I pick her up. "Time for bed." I say to her.

"I'm not tired." Mirai says and contradicts herself with a yawn.

I smile and me and Kiba walk to her room and I set Mirai down on her bed. "Well, tired or not, it's still your bedtime and I'm no pushover like Kakashi and Kiba when it comes to cute kids." I say and Mirai laughs at that and grabs my finger.

"Lullaby." Mirai says to me.

I shake my head. "I don't sing, I dance, but I don't sing." I say to her.

"Lullaby." Mirai demands and I step back a little in fright.

"Ok, ok, calm down, no need to be a drama queen." I say nervously as I sweat drop at her attitude and I think. "I don't know any lullabies, and any of the ones that were sang to me were poorly sung and I can't remember the words." I say and Kiba nods. "Can't I just read you a story?" I ask Mirai and she shakes her head.

"Mommy sings to me every night." Mirai says to me and she starts pouting.

"Uh oh, uh, uh, uh." I say and I remember a song that I heard a mother sing a long time ago.

I finish and I see Mirai asleep and I sigh in relief.

"Never am I ever singing a kid to sleep again, it's bedtime stories next time." I say and Kiba looks at me in awe.

"That was beautiful." Kiba says to me.

An embarrassed blush covers my cheeks as I walk into the living room quietly with Kiba behind me. "I don't sing, I dance, but I do not sing." I say while trying to console myself for what I just did.

"Why not, your voice is great." Kiba asks me.

I look away. "I just grew up with out singing, I figured since Uncle always hit Uncle B when he was rapping then I'd get punished to, that's why I took up dancing, I needed some creative outlet." I say as I sit on the couch.

"Your in the Leaf Village now, no one is gonna punish you for anything like that." Kiba says with a grin and I yawn. "You must be tired, what were you even doing before this anyways?" Kiba asks me.

"Helping Sasuke stop the exploding humans problem while dealing with Orochimaru as he was being creepy." I say and I sense jealousy from Kiba.

We aren't even dating, what a jealous Inuzuka.

'You can say that again.'

I lean against the side of the couch but Kiba sits next to me and redirects me to his shoulder gently while Akamaru sits next to me with his head on my lap.

"You look tired." Kiba says to me.

"I am." I say quietly as my eyes get heavy.

Who knew he produced so much body heat and that heat still puts me sleep.

'I didn't.'

"Go ahead and get some rest, I'll wake you when Kurenai gets back." Kiba says in a quiet tone.

"Ok." I say and I close my eyes, letting myself fall asleep.

A hour or two later

"Ami, wake up, Kurenai's back." Kiba says as he gently shakes me.

I open my eyes to see Kurenai smiling at us and I sit up, already missing Kiba's heat though.

"Did she wear you out that much?" Kurenai asks me.

I shake my head. "No, I was just up for three days straight on a mission to stop exploding humans." I say and Kurenai looks at me with sympathy. "I'm gonna go home and sleep for real, its late and I promised Ten-Ten and Ino that we'd spend the day together, though I'm sure I'll be dragged in different directions." I say and Kiba gets up.

"I'll walk you home." Kiba says with a grin.

I blush slightly. "Ok." I say and Kurenai smiles at us.

Kiba walks me home and we stand outside my apartment door.

"So, do you want me to come inside and help you fall asleep again? I noticed that when you felt the body heat coming off me that you started to get tired." Kiba asks me.

I blush and look away. "No I'll be fine." I say and Kiba smirks.

"Will you though?" Kiba asks me.

I blush more.

I walk into my apartment, leaving the door closed and I walk into my bedroom and I lay on my bed when I feel two arms wrap around my waist and a head on my own.

"Get some sleep, you need it." Kiba says to me and I end up turning around so my body faces him and me being a sucker for warm things, I lean into his chest and I fall asleep in his embrace.

Kiba's POV

She fell asleep, good, she looked like she needed it and I can tell she has problems sleeping at night. Maybe this will help her. I hope so, but why doesn't she sleep well? Probably because of a dream that keeps coming back, that or I've noticed that her guard is always up, like she's waiting to be attacked out of nowhere. How did she grow up? Oh well, I'm getting tired, she produces a lot of heat herself and that's making me tired.

I fall asleep while holding Ami close to me and Akamaru under our heads.
