Chapter 10 : An Old Friend (Author's POV)
This chapter is going to be a little different. Instead of having some chapters being in Third Person, it's going to be in my point of view!
Yes this was random and not well thought out, but I thought it would be funny to read, so....
Enjoy! XD
The calendar that hung on the smooth cemented wall which had been changed to July. A cute picture of a dog swimming in the water with a scuba mask was on display. It somewhat resembled Celeste.
Aphmau sat lonely in the deluxe and pimped-out bedroom that Aaron's parents spared no expense for them. Her knees were up to her face as she struggled to hold back tears.
She looked off to the side, away from the calendar. But on the other side had a picture.
A picture of her and Aaron.
She let out an incoherent scream, enraged at the photo. She threw a nearby pillow at it, causing it to fall down and shatter on the wood grain floor.
Tears tainted with light make-up streamed down her cheeks as her eyebrows furrowed and teeth clenched.
"I don't need him! I don't need him! I don't neeed hiim!!" She boomed, covering her eyes and smearing her tears all over her face.
A/N : What she screams is spoken in the same way Spongebob did when he yelled "I don't need it!".
We all know he needed that water though. XD
But seriously, anyways, now we're back to your very dramatic scheduled reading.
A bark echoed in the distance.
Aphmau's head perked up as she heard the bedroom door slightly open, but it closed once more.
Celeste whimpered as her face could be seen in the crack of the door. Her nose popped out of the bottom of the door crack.
Aphmau wobbly stood up and walked to the door to let her in. She hadn't walked in an hour since she had freshened up.
Celeste hopped around her playfully, barking and panting at her happily.
Aphmau looked down at her, looking very unenthusiastic.
"Not now Celeste. I don't want to."
"Aurf!" She barked, rubbing her face onto Aphmau's for comfort. Aphmau patted her head and smiled weakly.
"Good girl."
...
I know I'm interrupting again, but my cats do this.
When I'm upset, spooked, and/or squealing; or fangirling; and one of them are around, they would hop on my bed and meow at me. As if they're like "Are you okay?".
If it continues, they would comfort me by rubbing against my arm or curling up on or next to me.
It's so cute!
I wish I could go on about them, buuuuuut...
Back to the story!
...
"Garroth! Shh! You'll wake her up!"
"Sorry baby brother! I didn't know she was asleep."
"Well, she is. I rather not wake a cranky N-Kawaii~Chan. Now let's go to another room now."
"Let's! "
The two brothers had left to go outside to the little nook by the pool. They sat in the shade, as of Zane's request.
"Okay, so!" Garroth began. "I want to ask you something."
"What is there to ask? There's nothing going on wi-"
"Are you and KC dating?"
"..."
"...?"
"Uuuh..." Zane drew out.
"You are, aren't you!? I can see it in your eyes!"
"I shall neither confirm or deny." Zane said, hiding his mild blush well.
"You two have been very suspicious and Katelyn gets very giddy when she came over that one time."
"I didn't even notice her."
"That because she needed-ugh, whatever! She told me that you two were holding hands and looking at each other. But when I turned around, you two weren't in arm's reach. But were blushing madly."
Garroth clasped his hands together.
"I know I'm not the smartest, but-"
"Hey! You guys! Over here! "
The two boys turned around to see Ro walking towards them.
She wore a crop top with sleeves that were opened at the shoulders. Her dark China Blue shirt complimented the denim shorts she wore.
The sandals with flower decorations click-clacked on the ground as she approached them.
She waved happily at them.
Garroth was taken aback. His jaw metaphorically dropped to the floor when he saw her.
He just can't control his feelings whenever he sees her. And neither can Laurence.
It's a little weird, yeah, but that's how things are.
Ro never saw herself as the most attractive or the most prettiest, but she didn't really pick up on the signs.
The signs of love, of course!
"Heyo guys! I haven't seen you in forever!" She cooed, beaming with joy and positivity!
"How have you been?" She asked. "I want to know if you guys are doing alright."
They replied with a monosyllabic response. She beamed brightly as she took a seat with the two brothers.
Garroth looked at her as I would with some delicious food. I mean, c'mon Garroth!
"Hey, where's Aphmau and Aaron? Are they okay?" She asked, putting on a very concerned face.
"Things are complicated between them." Zane answered. "Aphmau and Aaron got into a heated argument recently."
"Now they can't even look at each other."
"What!?" She shrieked, baffled beyond belief. "B-B-But!"
"Things should clear up soon. If love is love, they will learn to forgive each other and be a happy couple." He reassured her.
The conversation came to a halt as they heard footsteps behind them. Nana was waving with a weak smile and on her face. Her tired eyes gave it a drowsy yet cute look.
"Kawaii~Chan! Hello!" Ro chirped, waving enthusiastically. She patted the seat between her and Zane, smiling.
Garroth was lost in thought, staring at Ro as she watched the couple next to her.
He was probably wondering if she'd be interested in him. Want to show him love, go long long walks on the beach, yada yada.
But Garroth should get his head out of the clouds.
Seriously.
"Oh!" Garroth interrupted, having all eyes on him. "You never answered my question, Zane !"
"Oh no...."
"What's going on?" Nana asked, cocking her head.
"Are you and Kawaii~Chan dating or nah?" Garroth asked again, having a cocky smirk plastered on his face.
Zane buried his face in his hands and groaned loudly. Nana blushed heavily and looked down at her hands.
"You are, aren't you! Answer me!!" He boomed, standing up and slamming his hands on the table.
"FINE! Fine! We are! Are you happy!?" Zane yelled, throwing his hands up in the air. His face was just a full blown red while Kawaii~Chan was a raspberry red instead.
"I knew it! Haha!" Garroth cheered with a hubristic tone. Ro chuckled quietly, catching Garroth's attention. He blushed slightly but still wore his hubristic expression.
I bet she still wasn't impressed by what Garroth did. More so on the fat that Zane turned into a flippin' tomato.
"I'm out." Zane stood up and left the table. He seemed really annoyed with his brother.
Nana followed behind.
...
"Hey, you okay? Did Garroth stress you out?"
"No, I'm fine. Thank you Nana."
"No problem."
The two sat in a secret room that they found the past week. They sat on the bed next to each other.
Nana scooted closer to him and placed her head upon his shoulder. She purred sweetly and closed her eyes.
After a while, she started to sing.
"And you know, you know, you know~, it's 'cause you're beautiful. You say you're numb insi-i-ide, but I can't agree."
She perked up, fixing her posture.
"So the world's unfair, keep it locked out there!"
She stopped singing, now feeling too embarrassed to continue. Nana scratched her head and looked down at her feet.
"That was so cute. Honestly." Zane said, looking into her eyes lovingly. His scarf was slipping off his face and was resting on his neck.
Zane rested his hands on Nana's and slowly leaned in. Their eyes fluttered closed as their lips locked together. Nana leaned closer, deepening the kiss.
They periodically pulled apart because one person or the other kept grinning in the kiss. They laughed it off though.
"Hold on. Nana, stay right here. I'll go grab something really quickly." Zane excused himself as he went out the room.
Nana sat on the bed, tracing her lips delicately with her finger. She sighed in a love-strucked way, closing her eyes and smiling brightly.
I don't get how he manages to leave me lovestrucked just by kissing me....
I really do love him.
Footsteps echoed through the room as she quickly acted normal again, literally just as if nothing happened.
Zane crept in with something behind his back. He closed the door quietly so that nobody would know where they were.
"Nana?" Zane asked.
"Hmm? Yessum?" She responded.
The ears are hard to see noooooooo-
"I wanted to give you something." He said, walking over and sitting next to her.
He pulled out a box from behind him.
"..." She replied, mindblown. She sat frozen on the bed. Zane chuckled lightly.
"Calm down, it's not an engagement ring." Zane confirmed.
"It's a promise ring."
He opened the small box to reveal a beautiful ring.
It was a rose colored gem in the center with a gold ring and vines, giving it an enchanting look. The rose gem was somewhat translucent, making it look incredibly beautiful.
"Zane..." She began. But she was honestly speechless. "This is so pretty! I love it so much, and I...I can't even!"
"It's going to keep my promise to you. My promise that I won't leave you. Never ever. I will stay by your side and love you. When I was at my lowest, you were there for me. You were here for me. Not I'm here for you too." He said, his voice seeping in love and passion.
He continued.
"I want you to keep this. Not only does this reflect your beauty and auspicious personality, but this will also be what I promise to you. I love you. And always will."
Nana felt tear drops falling down her cheeks. But they weren't normal tears. They were tears of joy. Of happiness.
The tears that you will only have because of the one you love. She slipped the ring on her finger and tightly hugged Zane, crying more happy tears.
Zane patted her back as she repeated "Thank you!" over and over. He laughed and replied with a "You're welcome".
...
"Hey Zane?" Nana asked, popping her head in the large lounge area. He sat crissed-crossed on the couch.
That day was really hot for a day in July, so he was wearing shorts.
"Hmm?" He hummed, looking up at her. She walked over to him and sat next to him. Her right hand was over his left.
The ring could be seen, reflecting in a beautiful manner.
She looked up at Zane, beaming extremely bright. Zane smiled weakly, looking into her bright golden eyes.
"Zane, I love you. You have definitely convinced me that I love you even more than I thought before." She murmured, only loud enough so that Zane could hear her.
Zane blushed heavily, his tomato face returning. He kissed her sweetly on the forehead and patted her head.
Nana purred, resting her head on his shoulder.
"She looks so cute..." Zane thought. His blush had faded mostly, but a light blush pink remained on his cheeks.
After a while, he heard a light snoring beside him. That's when he realized something.
Nana was sleeping right next to him.
"Now this is too cute." He thought. "I really am lucky to have her in my life."
Hope you guys liked this chapter! :D
I'm a little triggered right now. I tried to put in a cute animation, BUT IT'S NOT WORKING!
If I can get it to work, I'll put it in.
ヽ( '¬')ノ
Anyways, was the chapter funny? Let me know!
This chapter was suppose to be out sooner, but life had a different change of plans.
Speaking of plans...
It's summer vacation for me!
For a while now, anyways.
Hopefully I can produce more chapters! But then I'll have to do all of this planning and drawing...
It'll be worth the hassle though.
Hey.
Wanna hear something funny?
One of my brothers and one of my sisters are the ones I closely bond with.
I'll call them Gumii and Patty. After the candies they like.
My brother likes gummy bears and my sister likes those gummy Krabby Patties.
The three of us are hilariously cringy. XD
Apparently, using your fork to shred off some chicken that you wanna eat is the same thing as eating a muffin with a butter knife. XD
Yeah, I don't know either.
But anyways, I'll see you another time! Bai! <3
