After Lunch, Travis knew he would get hurt if he went home. So he asked Sal if they could go to his place to do the project. Sal said, "Sure. Meet me in front of the school." So now he's in class tapping his fingers on the table. Everyone was either looking at him weirdly or looking at the teacher. It seemed that way. He couldn't take anymore of the stares getting up abruptly and exiting class. The teacher yells out his name though he seems to not care. Weeks before this fiasco, a student gave him weed and cigarettes. That student was his only friend who understood him. That student got expelled. He keeps the drugs in his locker somewhere. I mean who expects drugs from the preachers son? No one.

He heads to his locker looking at each classroom. Once at his locker he opens it searching for a cigarette or weed. He finds the pack of cigarettes taking one cig out. He then closes his locker. 'Only to get rid of those stares.' He thought to himself as he heads down the hall towards the front of the school. He exits the school looking for a place to chill at. He finds a place covered in bushes. He sits down putting the cigarette in his mouth. He lights it up taking in a deep breath. He puts the lighter away. He grabs the cigarette in between his index finger and middle finger. He removes it from his mouth letting out the smoke.

He felt at ease listening to the world. Peaceful. Finally he heard the bell for school ending. He takes in the cigarette one last time then throws it on the ground. He steps on it digging his feet in the ground. He lets out the smoke walking to the entrance to the school. He wasn't really high but he felt so calm. Calm enough to look insane. Or something. Anyways he spots Sal with Larry walking beside him. Sal spots Travis waving at him. Travis waves back looking at Larry who was glaring him down. "Hello Queers." Sal rolls his eyes noticing a smoke like smell coming off of Travis. "Hello Trashvis." Travis smiles at that oddly. "Travis... Do you smoke?" Travis looks at Sal shrugging. "Only when I'm on edge." Larry spots Ashley waving towards her. "I'll see you later Sal." He says then walks towards Ash with a small smile.

"See ya Larry Face." Sal looks at Larry and back at Travis. "We should get going." He leads the way to the apartments. They walked halfway there when one of them notices a familiar preacher. A pair of feet stop walking gaining the other's attention. "Travis!" The blonde boy's eyes go wide making the blue haired boy grab his hand and start running. They ran into the lobby of the apartments stopping to take in deep breaths. "You already know... Do you..." Sal looks at Travis tilting his head. "What?" Sal looks confused. "You wouldn't have don't that if you didn't know." Travis was looking at the doors as if he was waiting for his father to appear. "Travis I just put the pieces together. I mean you had a black eye, you cut yourself, you wanted to do the project here and not at your house, and then that crumbled up-" Travis looks at Sal holding his arm gripping it tightly. "You read that?"

"Yeah..." Travis shakes his head. "Let's just do this stupid project..." Sal says nothing more making his way to the elevator. Travis follows Sal looking behind him and at the door. He for sure doesn't want to go home now, but he can't stay the night either. It'll make matters worse. They head to Sal's apartment being stopped by his dad. "Hello Sal how was your day?" He looks at Travis and smiles. "Hello! I'm Sal's father! Nice to meet you." He stretches his hand out for a hand shake. Travis touches the hand gently and slowly shakes their hands. "It was great though we have a project to tend to." Henry nods his head. "I also have a meeting to go to. I won't be here for the rest of the week. Goodbye son." Sal waves goodbye then heads to his room. Travis follows him looking back at Henry. Henry exits the apartment to the elevator.

Travis sits on the floor looking around. "So what's the project about?" Sal explains the project to him. Well he didn't expect such a touchy subject that Sal picked for them. The project was an essay and a poster about the subject they picked. Sal picked domestic abuse. "Shouldn't we do another subject? Like World War or financial problems?" Sal shook his head looking at Travis. "This is something that needs to be talked about plus you'll be a perfect example. Maybe your dad will get put in jail after this." Travis sighs pulling his legs close to him. "I deserve it though. I am a sinner..." Sal stays silent sitting next to Travis. Travis looks at his feet in deep thought. He didn't even notice Sal hug him. He didn't even notice the tears and words falling out of his mouth.

Sal just listens to him. This isn't right. No one should live like this. Travis starts noticing wiping his tears away. "Sal you can't tell anyone... Please." Sal moves away nodding his head. He grabs paper writing down words that spilled out of Travis's mouth. "What are you writing?" He watches Sal write a little story before going on and writing a exposition on domestic abuse. "The essay." Travis nods his head sketching out poster designs. As time passed, Travis gets sleepy. He collapses to the ground closing his eyes. Sal looks at him trying not to laugh. Since Sal is a kinda strong boy, he lifts up Travis laying him on his bed. Sal looks at the time deciding he should get some sleep too. He gets into a metal band shirt and some loose pants. He gets in bed with Travis taking off his prosthetic.

He pushes Travis a bit away from him. Don't want Travis freaking out in the morning do we. He closes his eyes drifting off to dream land.
