Keiko's POV

It was late and no one was tired and restless in the hotel room.

"Botan want to pick up Max and go for a girl's night out" I smiled big and jumped from the window ledge.

"Lord yes" Botan's face lit up as she flew away on her broom to get Max.

"You're leaving?" Yusuke turned the corner and looked straight faced.

"Just for a couple hours" I brushed my hair quickly with my fingers. "If we get into any danger, I have Max and Botan there."

"Just be careful" he turned back around the corner and I huffed a few choice words and headed for the door as Max hopped down from the counter.

"Max are you sure you want to wear that outside without a jacket?" I questioned looking at her black tank top with a stripped crop top and shorts.

Her boots might have kept her slightly warm but the weather was supposed to be cold tonight.

"I'll be fine" Her smile seemed truthful and I nodded in agreement.

Hiei's POV

I had gone straight to my room after claiming that I was only tired and that I wanted to be left alone for the night. It had been about an hour since the front room had closed and I had just assumed that Kurama had gone for food. that was until Kurama walked in to grab his bag to put things in.

"I thought you had left" I looked up from my tablet that I use for school work.

"Nah Max and the girls left" he left so careless and my heart skipped a beat.

"Max left" I spoke empty words as I changed my clothes and left the hotel.

Botan would have taken them to the nearest bar but if I knew Keiko they would be out to dinner and a movie after. I made my way to the nearest restaurant to the hotel.

"Did a party of three girls come in earlier" I asked the waiter.

"No we have only gotten bigger parties all night" The man sighed.

I ran to the only other restaurant on the whole island. I was by now out of air and realizing what I was doing was because Leo was still on the island.  I walked in and smiled as charming as possible to the waitress at the front desk.

"Did three ladies walk in earlier?" I held my smile.

"yes they did" she smiled blushing. "but they also had a very nice man with them. Would you like me to take you to their table to see if you are asking about the right people?"

"Yes please" I felt the anger boiling inside me.

"right this way" she smiled sweetly and headed to their table.

I followed carefully behind her and waited to see Max sitting there across Leo next to Botan. I stood there for a couple seconds before turning around and walking out. I hopped into a tree that was across from the window that I could see her from. Max with smile and laughing at something and that made me more mad. Why would she be with them and him?

It was a few moments later that Leo had paid the check and everyone was walking out. I dropped from the tree and headed over to her feeling worse than I ever have before.

"Max" I tried not to sound as angry as I was.

"Hiei!" She smiled and sound surprised before looking at me and frowning. " I thought you were going to bed?"

"I was before I thought that my girlfriend would fall for some robot! So here I am and I guess I thought right." I yelled and she stepped back a little frightened.

" Max are you okay?" Leo came over and looked between us.

"Go on Max. I guess I will see you around when you're not too busy hanging out with him" I turned around and walked away pissed off with her and myself.

It wasn't before I had totally left that I could stop hearing her crying. And even that I felt like I could still hear her behind me sobbing.
