I'm going to SwampCon on Feb 13, 2016 as Undyne (Undertale), so I'm getting my props put together!

These are my gills...

...and this is my spear!

To make the spear, I used an empty wrapping paper roll as the base and just normal cardboard for the point. To make the point more 3D, I made two spear-like triangles and slit the center of one almost (but not completely) through the shape vertically from the bottom. The lighter blue shade was made from a mix of white, dark blue, and light green. The darker blue was a combo of dark blue and teal.

For the fins, I painted the main part with the dark blue/teal mix. The inner fin was painted with a cherry red, and it was given more depth with a dark blue shadow. The fins themselves were made from the lids of a Build-A-Bear box because the handles created a fold with the rest of the lid. I attached bobby pins to the folds so they could be held in place by my wig in front of my ears.
