White Stripes
Kirishima POV:
"Oh my god, what happened to him?"
"Will he be okay?"
"Its hard to say that he'll wake up soon, the wound is deep, and he had a lot of blood loss."
"Bakugo.."
Its my fault. Bakugo has been sleeping for two moons since I landed at Ochaco's. I wasn't allowed to see him, only Pinky, Tsu, and Uraraka were allowed in his room. And they were constantly going in and out, going in with white cloth, and coming out with red cloth.
Why was he still sleeping? How could he still be tired? Mean I've slept for a whole light, but Bakugo has slept through two and a half..
I had switched to my human form instantly, so I could follow the blonde into the house. Only Tsu praised me for doing it, only because everyone else was preoccupied with Bakugo, which I was fine with, but I felt ignored.
Wanting to see Bakugo so badly, but each time I went to his door, someone would come and tell me no.
But I was sleeping with him at the room back at the town. Why not here too?
I go and walk back upstairs to his door, looking at the door knob. Sitting down right in front of the wooden door, I pick at the rug underneath me.
"Ba." I say, not looking up from the carpet. I need to take it slow, break it down and go easy.
"Baki, baku."
"Oh good job, Red! Your doing so good!" I look up, expecting to see Bakugo being the one smiling and praising me. But nobody was there..
"Baku, Bakug." I start again. I was getting better, I think this is the one I'm getting the fastest.
"Bakuo, Back, Bakugo." I did it. I smile, looking up at the door. I know he'd be proud, he always was.
"Bakugo. Bakugo. Bakugo!" I chirp. Rocking back and forth on my bum. I turn around, leaning my back against the door.
"Bakugo! Bakugo!" I sing-songed, swaying my feet side to side.
I hear a click and then my back rest move behind me. And suddenly, I'm looking up at at Tsu.
"Flower!" I smile. She returns the smile, bending down a little.
"Hiya Red, whatcha doing down there, kero?" She croaked, giggling. She stepped over me and held out her hand. I took it, and she hoisted me up.
"Did you hear who was calling for Bakugo? I thought I heard his name, ribbit."
"Bakugo!" I said, sticking my hands behind me back and rocking on my feet, smiling brightly. She gasped.
"That was you! Who taught you how to say that?" She asked, grinning. She was proud, just like Bakugo would be. I pointed to myself.
"Bakugo!!" I said again, earning a pat on the head. I hear a groan behind me, and the shuffle of a blanket falling.
"What the fu- ah shit!" I whip my head around, seeing a groggy looking Bakugo sitting in his bed, resting a hand on his shoulder that had a white stripe on it.
"Bakugo! Your awake!" Tsu pushed past me, rushing to Bakugo's side and helping him sit up properly. She checked his back for some reason and handed him a cup.
I stood smiling in the doorway, fiddling with my thumbs.
"Red, don't you want to tell Bakugo anything?" Tsu asked, I looked up at her, and she was fixed on doing something to Bakugos back.
"Tell me something? What is it Red?" Bakugo said, taking a sip of the cup. His voice was super scratchy, too.
"Bakugo." I said happily, twisting my fingers in my hand.
"Huh? So are- wait. You just said my name." He stared at me, his eyes wide and wearing a smirk.
"Bakugo, Bakugo!" I laughed, making him smile.
"Who taught you that?"
"He said he did it himself.." Tsu said, which I nodded vigorously.
"Wow, Red! I'm super impressed with you! Soon you'll be able to say real sentences!" Bakugo praised, smiling and taking another sip of his cup.
"Let lay you back down, kero." He nodded, and I watched as Tsu placed his cup on the nightstand and put her hands on his shoulder and mid back.
She slowly let him back onto the bed, making him wince. I walk over myself and pull the covers up to cover his chest.
"t-thanks." The blonde coughed out, making me feel sad. Why was he coughing? I don't normally cough after long naps, so why was he?
"Red, could you go get Ochaco, please?" Tsu asked, I gave her a nod and trotted out the door. I bolt down the stairs, and hop into the kitchen where Uraraka was baking yellow. I tug on her sleeve to get her attention.
"Bakugo." I say, trying to pull her along.
"Red! Did you learn a new word?" I turn back and nodded, grinning, but continue to pull her upstairs. "Where are we going, bud?"
"Bakugo." I said again, did she not understand? We make it to his door again, and I fiddle with the metal knob. How do they open these?
"Here, let me." the witch said, reaching over me and grabbing the knob herself. She swung the door open, seeing a Tsu hovering over Bakugo.
"Come here Ocha." Tsu beckons. Uraraka walks in, rushing to Bakugo's opposite side. The two females start to whisper, fixing the white wraps on the blonde's body.
Walking over to get a better look, I peer over Uraraka's shoulder. They had turned Bakugo on his side, and they were unraveling the white stripes, but they were red on the opposite side. I furrowed my brows, why was it red?
"This is going to sting, okay Bakugo? Excuse me Red." The witch grabs a bottle off the desk as I step aside, she unscrews the cap. Pushing on his shoulder, tilting him a little to Tsu, she pours a liquid onto a large red line along Bakugo's back.
He yells out in pain, immediately getting soothed by Tsu, who was rubbing his shoulder comfortingly. Why was he hurting? Did I do something bad? Did Master hurt Bakugo? Was Master here to get me?
"Red? Could you go find Mina? How about you learn some words with her and cheer up, okay?" Tsu says, I nod slowly, heading back out once again, but hearing another scream from Bakugo.
I slowly go downstairs and look for Mina, in the kitchen, closet, and then to find her on the couch. I walk over and stand in her eyesight, she looks up at me from her spot on the couch and immediately jumping up and putting her hand to my cheek and rubbing her thumb under my eye.
"Why are you crying, Red?" She whispered, I was crying? I brought my hand to my other cheek and touched it. Sure enough there was water.
"B-Bakugo.." I said, and as if on que, I hear another one of his yells, startling me.
"Oh, Red. Its okay, he's getting healed!" She smiles, pain is healing? She puts her arms around me, holding me tight.
"He'll be okay, Red."
