Truth
Bakugo POV:
"You look stupid."
"Glad to see that you're okay too, Bakugo!"
"And you have no room to talk mister 'I have to hobble around in crutches for two weeks!' So don't make fun of Iida for being in a wheelchair." Mina butted in, sticking her hands on her hips.
I just glared at her, to which she returned a stank eye. But our stare-off was cut short when Jiro finally entered the room.
"Wow, where's Momo?" Sero asked, smirking, I couldn't help but snicker at his comment.
"Uh.. not here? She's at her own castle.. You should know that already."
"Oh sorry, its just that you only ever wear dresses when Momo makes you."
"Shut your face, you are lucky I even look nice right now."
"Yeah, yeah. Anyways, how where your guy's nurses? Mine was an ultra hottie." He looked up, wearing the stupidest grin. Gross.
"Sure she was, Sero. Mine was decent looking, but she was super nice so that made up for her slight lack of looks." Jiro admitted, these idiots are stupid.
"This is not the appropriate topic to be discussing!" Iida said, waving his arms around like a lunatic.
"Settle down guys, we have to go anyways." I laugh, moving my crutches over so I could begin to walk.
"Could I sit next to you Bakugo? I need to talk to you about something.." Jiro said, wearing a sad look. Suspicious..
"Uh, sure I guess?"
Gradually going down the hall, our crutches and cane tapped against the carpeted stone floor and Iida's wheelchair creaked. My armpits had already grown sore from the constant pressure given from the crutches.
As we arrived to the carriages, I saw that almost everybody except for Eri was there. I felt stupid, struggling to go down the stairs with the bulky wooden sticks. Luckily I wasn't the only one embarrassed, as Jiro was also struggling with her crutches.
Finally making it to the bottom of the staircase, Shinso walked towards us, and he grabbed Iida's wheelchair and helped him move along. Completely ignoring us, who were actually struggling to walk, that moron.
"The crippled gang finally arrives!" Dunce exclaimed, arms wide open and a massive smile plastered on his face.
"Oh shut up!" I grumble, going over to one of the smaller carriages so Jiro and I could have more privacy for her talk.
The coachman took my crutches and helped me into the small wheeled room. Mainly using my arms to maneuver, I scoot down the bench and all the way to the end. Jiro followed closely after, sitting opposite of me, but she kept her eyes to the ground.
"Mina's going to be in here, too. Since there has to be a minimum of three to a carriage to fit everyone." She mumbled, I could tell she was very upset.
"Okay.. should I be concerned?" I ask, my nervousness growing. What could she be so worked up about?
She didn't answer, and instead bunched the hem of her skirt in her fists. Only making me worried for her state, I have never seen her act like this.
Sitting in silence for the next two minutes, Mina's loudmouth could be heard from outside the closed door of the carriage.
"Ah sorry about that.. I just had to wait for Eri." Pinky finally arrived, as she scooted down the bench on my side. "Now whats this thing you wanted to talk about?"
Even with her head down and her hair covering her face, I knew tears had filled her eyes. Just by the way her shoulders were hunched, I knew she was fighting back a break down.
"Come on, talk it out Jiro." I whispered, careful to not overwhelm her.
"Back at the castle.. after we were separated-" She breathed out, barely managing the few words before her shoulders jerked.
A soft sob echoed through the small carriage, and Mina didn't even hesitate to jump across the seat and pull Jiro into a hug. Burying her face into Mina's shoulder, Jiro continued letting out quiet sobs as I gave Mina a concerned look.
"You got to talk to us, Hon." Mina soothed, rubbing her back. "We are here for you."
"I know.." Jiro whispered, pulling away from Mina and wiping her face. "Its just.. its hard.."
"We know.. just let it out."
(trigger warning! mentions of rape and sexual assault)
"In the castle... right after we got split up you know? And the guards took us to separate cells and stuff.. and one stayed in with me..."
"A guard stayed with you? Like guarding and doing his job?" I asked.
"No.. inside-" A sob interrupted her, and she buried her face in her hands. I place a hand on her knee for comfort, rubbing it slightly. "Inside the cell, with me."
"What did he do in the cell?" I said softly, leaning forwards.
"He would.. would to-" She choked, more sobs racking through her body. "He would touch me... where- where I didn't want to be touched.. and-"
"Oh honey." Mina said, taking Jiro back into her arms as sobs filled the now moving carriage.
"Did he do.. that?" I asked, furrowing my brows.
"Y-yes." She stuttered, "He did."
My stomach dropped to my feet, how could this happen? I mean, i wouldn't put it past anyone in the Endeavor kingdom that willingly works for the king. They are all shitty ass people deserving of imprisonment.
"Do you remember what he looked like?" I hesitantly asked the sobbing girl that was desperately gripping onto Mina's dress.
"I wish I didn't." Jiro said between sobs.
"No, no, no! Thats a good thing Jiro!" Mina said, nodding at me, "That means you can identify him and we can get pay back. Okay? We will get you your justice, don't you worry."
"Th-thank you."
~time skip~ (trigger warning over :D )
"It's weird being back here and being able to walk around freely.." I said, walking alongside Todoroki and Red.
"Yeah.." Todoroki sighed, leading us through the halls.
"Whats the cover up story?"
"For my father's death?"
"Yes?"
"We said that he died from a sudden illness, we can't have the public knowing he was murdered. And we also swore the other kingdoms to secrecy about Red, just told them that we didn't want panic about a dragon and such." He explained, shrugging.
"Makes sense, I just can't believe the idiots agreed to secrecy though." I chuckled.
"Funny!" Red chirped, skipping along.
"Mhm."
"Well here it is guys," Todoroki pushed open small double doors, allowing us to enter.
"Thanks. Now to search through this mess of papers." I groan, not looking forwards to how long this will take.
"I can show you where I found the original file if you want? Maybe there will be more around it or something."'
"Sure, lead the way then."
IcyHot walks past us, taking a sharp left. The room was lined with many rows of shelves, stocked with papers. Who knew that Enji had so many documents?
He turned down the fifth row, walking down halfway before stopping. Flipping through a stack a papers, he hands me one from the very middle.
Miracle Child Survives Devastating House Fire
Residency 1890 mysteriously caught fire early Sunday morning shortly after the attack alarms sounded. Nothing but silverware was left in the ash, besides a young red-haired infant. The unidentified child amazingly survived underneath the burnt wreckage, he was found sound asleep and covered in debris. The devastating occurrence h-
"Okay, so we know you lived at 1890, and you were unidentified.. so that doesn't help. Maybe there would be a newspaper full of birth announcements? Or a file of where people are living with their names?" I ask, handing the paper to Red, knowing he can't read but he'd enjoy looking at the letters.
"Possibly.. No way to know unless we find it."
