Above It All
Bakugo POV:
The dragon spread out his wings, and lowered his whole body, his hind wiggling as if he were to pounce upon a prey. He suddenly jumped into flight, nearly shaking me off in the process, I luckily gripped his horns just in time. We launched up into the air.
"HEY!!!! WHERE ARE WE GOING??" I yelled over the wind at the dragon as he continued climbing higher, ignoring my yells. The extra's screams from below us were getting quieter as we raise past the treetops. Getting brushed by a few branches here and there, this dragon wasn't the most careful. We continue flying ahead, gaining height.
The forest was shrinking quickly, the tree's outlines becoming faint, and the clouds getting much bigger. With the subtle flaps of his wings, the dragon's body rolled with each thrust upwards into the sky, hoisting us up higher. Where was this beast taking me.
"What are you trying to show me?" I ask him again, patting his forehead. He began to purr again, and yipped in return as we reached the top of the clouds, finally revealing the clearing.
"Woah.." I take in the utter beauty of what it spread out in front of me, the clouds extended beyond the horizon, dancing across the landscape, lightly dyed a bright orange by the setting sun. Its absolutely beautiful here..
I take another breath, taking in the fresh air like I'll never get another chance to breathe again. The crisp, cool, wind flows all around us as the dragon beneath me glides above the clouds.
"So this is what you wanted to show me?" I asked for confirmation, getting my answer through a grumble. "Its stunning up here.."
He chirped in agreement, fluttering his wings slightly.
We continue to fly above the clouds for another hour or so, watching the sun set slowly. The sky fading from a yellow orange to a red, and then purple, then finally a dark navy sky, sprinkled with stars. Nothing was up here to bother us, it was so peaceful.
"I think its about time we go back, we probably scared them shitless by now..." I say softly to the flying dragon. He rumbles in acknowledgement as we begin to lower into the clouds. Rapidly dropping altitude, we shortly get sight of the forest below us.
I pray this dragon knows how to get back. It seems as though he does, hopefully.
Sero POV:
So I'm panicking. That monster took Bakugo, leaving us stranded, Mina's having a breakdown, and the prince is watching the green haired one pace around a path he already embedded in the forest floor.
And worst of all, I stained my pants. And they're still wet from the pond. That stupid dragon.
"Sero!!" Mina shouts at me, turning to face me. Her face stained with tears, all red and puffy. I start to feel a little guilty for not calming her..
"What?" I ask.
"Can, um, you help me?" she says.
"Help you what? Did you soil yourself too?"
"Ha, no. But I can't breathe. And I'm scared. What if they never comeback, or we die, or they come back and we left, or they-"
"Shhhhh, it will be fine," I cut her off with a hug. Holding her in my arms as she breaks down again. Latching on to my shirt, I already feel her tears soak through as sobs jolt through her body, echoing through the woods.
"Shhhhhh, your alright, they'll come back. Don't worry," I comfort, continuing to whisper sweet nothings in her hair as I rub her back, soothing the fear-drenched head of hers. Slowly letting the sun get closer and closer to the horizon, I feel Mina begin to go limp into a slumber. Gently releasing her grip from my shirt, and relaxing her head onto my chest.
She finally begins her snoring, and the sky had fallen. I pick her up and take her closer to the fire that the prince had made sometime when I was comforting Mina. Softly laying her down onto the grass, I take off my cover and bunch it up to have a makeshift pillow, and place it under her head.
I knew that thing was a killer. I can already imagined Bakugo's mangled body up in the mountains, his bones being licked clean by that beast.
THUMP
I hear a big thud close by. Whipping around torwards the sound, all I see is two dark outlines in the forest. A wave of relief washes over me as I hear the familiar rumble of that dragon followed by a yell from who I assume is Bakugo.
"That was amazing, Ol' Red! Thank you.."
No. Way. I did not just hear the Bakugo Kastuki say thank you.. I thought I'd die before I heard those words come from him..
"Bakugo? Is that you?" I yell out.
"What do you want Soy-Sauce Face?" he groans. I get up and run over to him, pulling my sword out of my hilt. I rush over and push the man behind me. Facing my sword at the massive dragon.
"Jeez. I was only gone for a bit, and what did you do, hm? Finally wash the shit off your ass I see? And why the fuck are you guarding me?" he snarks.
"Oh can your mouth. That thing might kill you! When it kidnapped yo, we all assumed the worst. I personally had four panic attacks."I saw as I maintain eye contact with the murderer before me. "Mina had a massive breakdown that I had to comfort until she passed out. Midoriya was pacing and mumbling so hard that it took Prince Todoroki three hours to get him to stop, and you can see the circle he left just behind Mina." With each breath, I took a step forwards, and jabbing my sword at the dragon who was now hunkering down and shaking. Ha, a murderous beast, being scared of me? Im honored. "Not to mention, you were gone for eleven hours!"
"Excuse you, g-"
"Don't even dare to finish that sentence, Bakugo. Now if you don't mind me, I'm going to slay this monster before it KILLS US!" I say, taking a few more steps to the dragon, watching its eyes frantically glance around.
"OI! Calm your motherfriggin tits, Sero!" Backlog yells, going inbetween me and the monster.
"Get out of the way, Bakugo." I order.
"No, you go over to the campsite and put you damn sword away! This dragon is NOT a monster, beast, or killer! NO GO! And thats an order."
