Lie #1

Hi, my name is Skye Winchester. I'm 10 and I live with my big brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore my big brothers, but ever since they started to date their angel boyfriends, they kind of... Forgot me. Here's an example.

It was almost the big day. I had been practicing for months, perfecting the chords and lyrics. I would be singing Old School by Josie Dunne for my school's talent show! I knew my big brothers were busy people, but I was going to ask them anyways.

"Hey Sammy, Dean," I smiled softly at them. They glanced my way. "Uh... I'm gonna be playing and singing a really good song at the school talent show. Could you guys come?" I asked. "It's tomorrow at 7."

"Yeah of course kiddo!" They chorused. I smiled brightly.

"Thanks!" I cheered before running off to practice.

I was about to go on stage but I couldn't find Sam or Dean. They promised they'd come! Eventually, I was called onto stage and I sat down on the stool. I ignored the fact that my big brothers had ditched me and just samg my heart out the way I practiced, playing the strings perfectly. After I performed and everyone else did too, I won the first place trophy. I smiled and laughed like I was the happiest kid on Earth, and then walked home afterwards.

When I got home, Sam and Dean were in the living room, watching TV. "Why were you out so late?" Dean asked, sipping his beer.

"Just the talent show," I mumbled. Then I smiled best I could for him. "Just hanging out. Sorry Dean," I said before rushing to my room. Tears filled my eyes and I set the trophy down.

They forgot me.

Soon after that, it was like I didn't even exist. I went to soccer games alone, walked home from school alone, watched TV alone. They were so focused on their boyfriends that they forgot about their little sister. I just ignored the ache in my chest and said that I should be happy for them.

It was my graduation ceremony from 7th grade. I told them about it, and they promised they'd come this time. As I walked onto the stage and smiled for the camera, I couldn't find Sam and Dean out there. They didn't come. Of course they didn't, they had better things to do, Skye.

So, I walked home from the ceremony in my dress and boots, carrying a trophy for being an insanely smart student for many years and a folder with dumb little certificates. I got home and didn't even speak to my brother's. I went into my room and put the trophy on my old shelf. That's, eight trophies I've received without my brother's knowing it. Oh well.

After a couple years of this treatment I stopped crying after every ceremony they forgot. I stopped asking them to come to soccer games and beta conventions. I stopped trying to be noticed.

That was until Bobby came over.

When he got there he hugged the boys, Gabriel, and Castiel. I slipped into the kitchen, not thinking he would care about me. I was 13 now, I took care of myself. When he hugged me I was surprised but hugged back. "Hi Bobby."

"Hey princess," he replied. "How's school been?"

"Good..." I said. No one ever cared about me anymore, so I didn't think he would. Bobby tilted his head.

"What's the matter, kiddo?"

"Nothing, Bobby," I smiled best I could.

"I can tell you're not okay," he said.

I sighed softly. "Come with me," I said. I led him to my room. I pointed to a shelf. "There was a ceremony for every single one of those trophies and metals. Sam and Dean didn't come to any of them, even though they promised. They didn't come to my soccer games, even though they promised. They didn't come to my talent shows, even though they promised. They just stopped caring about my existance once they started to date the angels. I haven't had an actual conversation with them in years. I know, I'm being a selfish brat... but I'm just so tired of being forgotten..." I said, my voice cracking at the end. I had tears in my eyes as I hugged myself and looked down. Soon, two strong arms wrapped around me. Bobby. I grabbed onto his shirt and hid my face in his neck, starting to sob. I hadn't been held like this in literally 3 years. I missed it so much. I sobbed about my own pain. I sobbed about how much I missed my brothers. I sobbed about how I would never be enough. I sobbed about everything I had held in for the past 3 years. He rubbed my back and held me until I calmed down, to which I just pulled away from him, rubbing my eyes.

"I'm sorry Bobby... You probably think I'm selfish and dumb..." I whispered. He rubbed my shoulder.

"Skye, you're stronger than you give yourself credit for. Any other kid in your position would be broken and pissy and a jerk. You are the complete opposite. You gave up your own happiness for your brothers. That's freaking amazing in my book," he said gently. I whimpered and rubbed my red eyes. "I'm gonna have a talk with those idjits."

"No Bobby, please... they're happy... Don't make me ruin their happiness. If they're happy without me, then I can go back to the way I was..." I begged. "They haven't been happy in years."

Bobby sighed. "Fine kiddo, but no more telling them you're okay and hiding behind a smile. You should let them know how much they hurt you."

I nodded and walked over to my bed. "Aren't you coming?" He asked.

I looked up from my studying. "I don't find a point, and Sam and Dean are usually either out or talking amongst themselves. Anyways, I've got a Latin test tomorrow, so I've gotta do some studying."

Bobby nodded reluctantly and left so I could finish my homework. When I finished, I got my stuff together and put it away. I then grabbed my phone and 20 dollars. Sam and Dean didn't care, so I went out and hopped on my bike, biking off to get to the pizza place. My friend and I were getting together for dinner, and I couldn't wait! She was one of the two people that care about me.
