Chapter Hey-I-Forgot-The-Number-Because-I-Haven't-Been-Updating-Sorry
So, I know I haven't been updating and that's because *looks at the WiFi cord sticking out of the ground* this is the SECOND time our WiFi cord got cut in two weeks, so we're waiting on the Verizon people to fix it. I also just gave up on the story for a bit but now I have an update for the, like, six people that read this! Woohoo! So, let's get into the story!
To my surprise, though, his eyes flicker, from red back to white, then red again. He inhales, and my vision flickers from black and white to colored again, then back. What did I say? Then I yelp as the floor under me becomes a vortex of colors, pulling me down. I look around for Reich but he has disappeared. I land in a garden. It's filled with flowers; red roses and marigolds, and a path made of granite slabs lead to a house in the far distance. I hear voices coming from around the corner, and instinctively I duck into the flowers. "...is nice, but why did you bring me here?" Reich's voice. "I have something to tell you..." Is that-? I peek through the leaves. Soviet? I tune back into the conversation. They're at a large cherry blossom tree now. "Reich..." I hear Reich gasp. "I love you." I gasp and then emit a fangirl screech, no matter who it is it's still really adorable. They don't hear me. "I-I love you too!" Says Reich. After a few minutes of "I didn't know!" and "I can't believe-" The vision shatters and I'm transplanted back into my head. Sitting down and thinking, I realize that since Reich is 'possessing' me, I'm able to see his memories. I don't fully get it, but I get it enough. Reich is gone, maybe still in the memory, so I look around for any exit. There aren't any. It's then when I realize what I might have to do...I have to defeat the Third Reich in a duel, or a battle. I sigh. Though that means I'll have to wait for him to come back, so I decide to practice my fighting skills.
I don't know what I'm supposed to do. Reich hasn't come back yet, and my body is just sitting on my bed. It's almost time to prepare for the attack and without my body in control, then I won't be able to...my mind flashes back to one thing Reich said in the memory, "I can't stand you leaving me, don't leave me ever" or something like that. I sit bolt upright, gasping out loud. I know what I have to do, but first I need Reich back.
Okay. This all happened in the first place because I was thinking about Reich too much. So what if I thought of Soviet and summoned him? Soviet, despite the things you've heard about him, was not an awful father. So maybe...just maybe...I could convince him to convince Reich to let me free. I brainstorm ideas to get Soviet here. Maybe I could tell him Russland is hurt? No, I don't want to lie to- "Privet?" I scream, jumping up, then I regain my posture and turn around. "J-ja?" I swallow, staring at the tall man in front of me. "You are...Soviet?" He nods. "Why do you need me?" I swallow again then quickly say "You know...knew Reich?" His face lights up, not to mention reddens a bit more. "Do you know where he is?!" I take a deep breath and mutter "Holding me hostage in my own head? Can you maybe convince him to set me free?" He studies me and says "Why?" I sigh. "Because there's going to be an attack on this base, and your daughter is here, along with some others." His eyes widen. "Fine...but only for Poland." I smile then say "But Reich isn't here." He grins then says "Really?" then yells "Communism is the best!" I wait for a second then scream again as Reich fizzles into existence, tackling Soviet in a hug. "Sowjet!" He says. "You don't know how much I've missed you!" I smile. When they finally stop making out, Soviet says "Can you let her go? She'll only get in the way of us~" I gag, but Reich doesn't even look at me, only snaps his fingers. My vision fades, and their voices do too. I yell, then realize that I can hear things. I blink, rubbing my eyes. I gasp, then smile in excitement. I'm back in my body! I glance at the clock. It's almost 3 pm, which means I have very little time. I jump up, then sit back down. I don't have any prep to do, just to call in and-I yelp as there is a buzz on my intercom. I pull it closer to my ear, then gasp. All I hear is screaming, and sometimes a yell for help. "Afghan?! Bern?!" I yell. No response. I throw the com onto the floor, crushing it. I jump up, running to the entrance with deadly accuracy. Along the way, I grab a sword - a katana - from the training room. I run to the road, then follow it to our base. Along the way, I see crashed cars and dead drivers. I swallow, then continue on. The screaming is louder now, it's obviously coming from inside the base. I kick down the door and scream. The hallway is coated in blood, and there are bodies everywhere. I turn, about to head down the hallway to the source of the screams, when something whizzes down the hall straight at me. I try to duck, but it plunges into my stomach-and everything goes black.
My mouth is filled with...metal? No...blood? Yeah. I cough, looking down at my chest. There shouldn't be a knife there. I study where it hit. Right off my ribs. Since I'm not dead, I'd say it didn't hit anything important. I rip off a piece of the shirt I'm wearing, wrapping it around the handle. I quickly yank out the knife and press on the wound with the cloth. The wound isn't that deep, and the bleeding soon stops. I wrap the cloth around it, then stand up. I walk down the hallway, leaning on the wall every so often. Then I feel a hand grip weakly on my wrist. I look down and my mouth opens in shock. "A-Afghan?"
