A few days later

Luna's POV

I'm currently running with Kakashi, Sakura, and Naruto to get to the Sand Village.

"Remind me to never put my foot down again." Kakashi says to me.

I grin at him. "Nothing can stop me."

Kakashi sighs knowing its true.

We run into Temari and Kakashi explains and we set off again. We stop to rest at nightfall.

I keep a lookout as I keep a hand on my stomach.

I can't wait to be a mother. Naruto wasn't my own but I loved him a lot and I still do. This little baby is gonna be mine and Kakashi's. I want the child to be a girl, secretly I've been wanting a little girl. I want her to have Kakashi's silver hair and my iris eyes. Of course being an Uzumaki, I have the dominent cells so she's gonna have red hair. I hope she has silver hair though. I want some parts to stick up like Kakashi's. I want her to have a strong will power, and has a genius mind. Here I am thinking about this when I should be sleeping in my futon with Kakashi guarding over me. Oh well.

I smile to myself and I look at the stars.

After a few hours it turns morning and everyone gets up. Naruto stands on the same branch as me with a determined look.

Oh I should mention. I'm in my Jonin outfit not my dress. Haha yeah Kakashi objected to me going unless I wore my dress. I disobeyed, but he didn't mind.

I stand up and I lean against the trunk of the tree from where I'm at, boredly.

We set off again and we stop because of a Sandstorm so we hide in a cave.

When it dies down we run to the sand village.

Once we get there, we immediately head for the infirmary.

Someone old women tries attacking me and Kakashi but I dodge her and I walk over to Sakura.

"Are you sure you can help?" Sakura asks me worried.

"Yeah." I say to her with a smile.

"Alright, find out where the poison is with your medical nin-jutsu. Tell me where and I'll use this." Sakura says and points to a pan with stuff in it.

I nod. One of my hands glow green and I take a close inspection, not missing anything. I point to the places where the poison is after I finish.

"Alright. Everyone get ready to hold Kankuro down." Sakura says to us.

"Hai."

I stand at his left arm while Temari stands at his shoulder. Two doctors get ready to hold his legs down.

Sakura starts and we hold Kankuro down.

She finishes after a while.

"There. We should take some of that poison and use it to make an antidote." Sakura says to the doctors.

"Hai." The two of them say to her.

"Awesome job Sakura." I say to her with a grin.

"Thanks Luna-Sensei." Sakura says and let's her hair down then ties her Leaf protector where it usually stays.

I walk out, when Kakashi says Father.

"Sukumo Hatake. In other words my father-in-law." I say walking over to Kakashi.

"The leafs red demon Kushina." The old lady from earlier says to me.

"Nope. I'm her younger sister, Luna."

"Luna-Sensei are you gonna come with us to get Gaara back?" Naruto asks me.

"I might. That really depends on what Sakura and Kakashi say. Sakura's a medical ninja and Kakashi is my lover."

"I say you don't go." Kakashi says to me with a closed eyed smile.

"I'm only a month in. Besides I can always dodge and hit. You know how fast I am."

Kakashi sighs. "And that's what worries me. Even if your a month in, you should still take it easy. Besides Lady Tsunade said your supposed to sit on the sidelines."

"I won't fight. How about that?" I ask him. "She said sidelines. I can use my medical Nin-Jutsu to help on the sidelines."

Kakashi sighs. "I can't argue with that."

I grin. "Awesome."

"No fighting." Sakura and Kakashi say to me.

"I said I wouldn't."

Kakashi gives me his closed eyed smile.

"Kankuro is awake." A doctor says to us.

I follow everyone in.

Kankuro worries about his puppets and Gaara while he tells everyone what happened.

I walk outside with Kakashi behind me. We summon our trackers.

"Kit. Can you find this Sasori guy or even Gaara?" I ask her as I bend down.

"You mean the fifth Kazekage Gaara? His chakra is that way, but you won't be able to catch up. They are still on the move. There is one other guy there. His chakra loves explosions from what I can read. The Sasori guy must be the puppet lover." Kit says as she points to the gate with her nose.

I look at Pakkun and his team. "You heard Kit."

"Right. Thanks Kit. That gives us a lead." Pakkun says to her.

"It's no problem. But Luna better fill me in on what's happening. I sense two chakra's in her. One is small very, very small almost like a forming baby. The other is hers." Kit says.

"And people say I'm bad at figuring things out." I mutter.

"You are. Well we aren't leaving till tomorrow." Kakashi says to me.

I nod and I place a hand on the ground for Kit to use so she can climb up onto my shoulder.

We walk inside.

I fill Kit in on everything unknowing that two old people are listening in.

Kit squeaks. "I hope your baby is a girl with silver hair." Kit says to me.

Me and Kakashi smile at her. "We do too."

Kit squeaks and jumps on Kakashi's hair and another squeak comes from it and two foxes pop up.

"Luna?" Kakashi asks me.

"Its just Kit and her sister snow. I placed snow with you, just incase one of us got captured and look alikes of us appeared, snow would sort it out."

"That's right. I report to Luna while she's away on missions through my telepathic technique." Snow says to him.

"The only times he isn't here is when neither of us are on missions or we're on the same mission together." I say to him.

"That's actually very smart." Kakashi says to me.

Kit jumps back on my head. "But what if its a boy with red gravity defying hair?"

I laugh. "I can imagine that. I just have to think of a kid Kakashi with red hair."

Kakashi gives me his closed eyed smile.

"I still hope its a girl." I say with a soft smile as I place a hand on my stomach and I look down at it.

Kakashi places his hand on mine. "Me too."

The old lady from earlier walks out of the shadows with the old guy beside her.

"How long were you there?" I ask them.

"Long enough." The old lady says to me.

Kit jumps down in front of me, in a defensive stance. "Don't hurt her."

I look at Kit.

"We weren't going to." The old man says to her.

I bend down and Kit jumps on my shoulder again and sits there, watching the two old people.

"My name is Lady Chiyo. This is my younger brother Lord Ebizō. I've had children myself. The love for a child that is held by its own mother is indescribable."

Kakashi glances at me.

I grin at her. "My full name is Luna Uzumaki-Hatake." I say Uzumaki quietly just incase Naruto was around.

"So you are an Uzumaki." Ebizō says to me.

I shush him. "Naruto musn't know yet. Not until he controls the nine tails."

They look at me confused.

"Orders from Lord Third Hokage." I say to them.

Me and Chiyo talk more and her and Ebizō leave.

"I wish Kushina and Minato were alive. Then I could ask Kushina what its like to give birth. I bet its seriously painful."

Kakashi nods. "And I want father to be alive so he can tell me how to be a good parent." Kakashi says to me.

I sulk. "I was winging it with him."

"You did a good job though. Look how he turned out and he wasn't even yours." Kakashi says to me.

Kit and snow poof away after I tell them they can go.

Kakashi rests a chin on my shoulder as he hugs me from behind. "Let's get some shut eye."

"Sounds like a good idea."

We lay down on our bed and fall asleep.

The next day.

I hear talking and I feel sunlight hit my face. I groan and place a pillow over the side of my face not wanting to wake up from the good sleep I was having.

I hear a few laughs and I press the pillow harder down.

Someone takes the pillow away.

"Pillow thief." I mutter.

Kakashi gives me his closed eyed smile. "Were leaving soon." Kakashi says to me.

Naruto grins at me. "Were gonna go save Gaara."

I sulk. "My sleep was disturbed because I'm on a mission to save the Kazekage from the clutches of the evil Akatsuki who are after all the Jinchuriki to take their tailed beasts away. Great."

"That was very accurate summary if the mission." Kakashi says to me.

"And now I'm being smart when I just woke up. Damn."

I get up a minute later and the two guys leave. I change and walk out after I brush through my hair and reapply my eyeliner and lip gloss.

"Let's get going." I say to them.

Me, Kakashi, Sakura and Naruto run towards the gate.

Temari and her team run up behind us and we stop.

"We're coming with you." Temari says to us.

"No Lady Temari you are to stay here along with your team." Baki says to her.

Temari looks at me and I nod.

"I'll be going with them."

I look up to see Chiyo jumping down and alarm passes through my face.

"Kakashi, am I seeing this right?" I ask as I tug on his sleeve slightly.

"Yes." Kakashi says to me.

"I've seen everything now."

Kakashi nods in agreement.

"Granny Chiyo!" Temari says shocked.

"So her jumping off of buildings isn't normal?" I ask.

"No." Everyone but Chiyo and Ebizō say to me.

I put my hands up in defence. "Just wondering."

"She's dense." Kakashi says to them.

I see a bird coming and I hold my arm out. It lands on my forearm and I take the message off its leg and send it back.

"Its from Lady Tsunade. She says Guy and his team are gonna meet up with us and help get Gaara back.' I say to them.

Kakashi sighs and nods. "Well at least the three of us should be able to help in some way."

I smile at him. "Lee's gonna kill us with his loud noises."

I put the note in my pouch.

We get going.

I summon Kit.

"Why did you summon a small fox?" Naruto asks me.

"This is Kit. She has extrodinary sensory skills and she can leads us there with out having to fall into anything dangerous." I say to him.

"I was sleeping." Kit mumbles.

"I was too. But then those two males over there decided I had to get up so they talked louder." I say not naming them.

Kit laughs. "So you didn't get coffee."

I huff and Kit jumps on my head.

She leads us in the right direction and we stop at nightfall.

Kit sleeps on my lap as I sit in a tree.

I'm saving Gaara as I go on no coffee. Today's been awful.

As morning rolls around we set off again.

We make it to our destination and we see Guy and his team.

"Luna, Kakashi, your late." Guy says to us.

We laugh nervously. "No excuse."

We turn serious.

We talk and Guy hands me and Kakashi a mic communication device.

We put them on and Lee nearly kills us with sound check.

"I've gone deaf." Kit sulks as she sits on my shoulder.

Neji and I nod.

I glance at Naruto to see him getting slightly angry.

I walk over to him and place a hand on his shoulder. "We faced the Itachi look alike, Itachi is strong but you have to be careful if you fight any of the Akatsuki. They are most likely gonna try and get the nine tails that is inside you." I say to him.

Naruto nods. "Right."

Sakura destroys the boulder as all the seals got taken off.

"What are these?" Ten-Ten says through the communication device.

"What is it?" I ask her.

"Clones? Look alikes? Mixed maybe?" Neji says to me.

I look at Kakashi.

"Trap. The Akatsuki have different people. One of then could have placed that seal and this is the after effects." I say through the mic. "Be careful. If its clones of you then they know what your thinking and they have the same chakra as you and most likely they won't run out of chakra."

"Right." The four say through the mic.

Me, Chiyo, Sakura, Kakashi and Naruto run in and we see two guys and one is sitting on Gaara's body.

"Kit." I say to her.

"He's dead." Kit says to us.

I glance at Naruto to see him fuming in anger. I get ready to do hand signs.

The two guys in front of us start arguing about art.

"You with the red hair. Who's art is better. My explosions or his puppetry? Hmm." The blonde guy says to me.

I stare at them confused. "I'm not a fan of either. I like sealing arts." I blow red water out of my mouth and it forms two dragons the size of me on either side of me. "See?"

"That's not art. That's just fire. Hmm." The blonde guy says to me.

"Guys?" I ask them. They stand behind me. "Disperse." The red water dragons disperse and they hit the two. The blonde yells in pain while the puppet just stands there unaffected. "Scolding red water. Not fire. My sealing art is Red Water Dragon."

The blonde glares at me.

"She's sadistic if she didn't care about his pain." Chiyo mutters.

I smile at the blonde and the puppet. "Hand Gaara over."

"No. Take him from us, if you can." The puppet guy says to me.

I frown. "Kakashi are they saying we're weak?"

"Just stay back. You are supposed to stay on the sidelines." Kakashi says to me.

I nod. "Fine." I look at the two guys. "Your lucky."

I move back next to Kakashi.

What goes next is that Gaara nearly gets swallowed and Naruto takes off after the blonde as he exits.

"Damn it. Naruto." I run after him slightly annoyed.

"Luna!" Kakashi yells.

I smile at him. "I'm his guardian. I'm not aloud to leave him alone on a mission." I say back at him.

Kakashi sighs and follows me. I make a clone of myself and I send it ahead.

"How's your guy's fight going?" I ask through the mic.

"Not good." Guy says through the mic.

"Once you guys finish up with that. Meet up with us and I'll use my medical Nin-Jutsu to heal you." I say through the mic.

"Thanks." The four of them say to me.

Mine and Kakashi's clone catches up to Naruto as we run on the ground.

"Kit."

"Bombs are attacking your clones." Kit says to me.

"That's not good." Me and Kakashi say and Kakashi reveals his Sharigan.

Once our clones poof away the two of us catch up to Naruto.

"Naruto. You need to calm yourself down. The nine tails is starting to show." I say to him.

Naruto ignores me. "Give Gaara back!" He yells at the blonde guy.

I sigh. "Kit."

"Up ahead. Be careful." Kit says to us.

"Right."

The three of us dodge a bomb.

Kakashi uses Mangekyo and uses the vortex.

More stuff happens and then we get to Gaara.

I do a few hand signs and I make two red water dragons.

One of them helps get Gaara out while the other is ready to surpress Naruto's seal.

Naruto goes on a rampage after seeing Gaara is dead.

"Disperse." The red water dragons hit Naruto but it does no effect. "What? My red dragons never fail."

Kakashi pulls out a seal thing and puts it on Naruto's forehead. Naruto goes back to normal and yells now that my red water is taking effect.

I walk over to Gaara and pick him up. We head to a grassy clearing and the others catch up to us.

I start healing everyone's wounds.

Naruto starts a speech and I listen as I work.

"You never asked us if we wanted to be this. You just did it any way. How do you think we feel?"

"You feel alone and upset and angry as a child. When you grow up people use you for war machines. Like all the past Jinchuriki." I say to him.

Naruto looks at me. "How do you know?"

I smile at him. "Naruto, I've known you, your whole life. I'm good at reading emotions."

Chiyo walks over to Gaara and does something unexpected. She uses a technique that gives her life for him. She starts to run out of Chakra.

Naruto let's her have some of his chakra and I watch.

Gaara wakes up a few minutes later.

I smile. "My little Naruto grew up."

We say a prayer for Granny Chiyo and I walk over to Naruto as the Shinobi gather around Gaara.

I hug him. "Good job Naruto."

Naruto shakes slightly in my arms and I feel something wet in my shoulder.

"Thank you."

I pull back and smile at him. "Come on don't cry. Gaara's back and you changed Granny Chiyo." I say to him.

Naruto grins at me. "Right."

When we get back to the village I see crowds of people waiting for Gaara.

"Oh my Kami. I haven't seen this many people since the Chunin Exams." I say quietly as I look at them all.

The next day.

I pray at Chiyo's grave and then I walk to catch up with everyone.

Once we get to the gate, Naruto attempts to say goodbye.

Gaara uses sand to bring Naruto's hand up and he shakes it.

I grin and I hug them both at the same time. "You both grew up."

Everyone watches amused.

"She's like a mother seeing her children after a long time." Sakura says, nodding.

Naruto just let's this happen since he's used to it, while Gaara is confused and shocked.

"Gaara, just except that she's like a mother to us Jinchuriki teens." Naruto says to him.

Everyone laughs but the two and me.

"Does she do this to you?" Gaara asks Naruto.

"Yes. I usually hug back." Naruto says placing an arm around me.

They're both my children now. Take that Kushina and Karura. Ha.

"Gaara doesn't hug people so he might not hug you back." Temari says and what surprises everyone is that Gaara places an arm around me and starts crying.

Yes they are my children now.

"Its ok. Let it out Gaara."

Naruto grins at him. "She has this effect."

Gaara stops a few minutes later.

"Better?"

Gaara nods. "I hope your child has your personality. We need kind and strong people in this world." Gaara says to me.

"How do you know about that?" I ask him.

"Naruto."

"Well thank you Gaara." Que Guy and Lee.

"MAY THE SPIRITS OF YOUTH BE WITH YOU." The two yell.

Me and everyone else wave as we depart.

Guy helps Kakashi as we walk side by side.

"GUY'S HURRY UP." Ten-Ten yells a bit far up ahead.

Guy grunts and me and Kakashi look at him.

"COME ON."

Guy grunts again.

"HURRY UP."

Guy throws Kakashi up and switches his pack to his front and places Kakashi on his back.

Guy grins. "I'll show you fast." Guy takes off.

My hand reaches out. "Wha? HEY WAIT FOR ME!" I yell and run after them. I catch up in a flash and I see Kakashi dizzy and almost dead.

"Hehe." Guy says and runs faster.

"I'm not losing to you." I say and run faster than him. We make it to the village and we stop as the ground trembles slightly.

I breath heavy as I place my hands on my knee's and bend over.

Everyone else runs up behind us.

"Guy-Sensei."

They have a moment while I just stand there breathing heavy.

Sakura walks up beside me. "You need to take it easy from now on. Your pregnant so you can't do all these exorcisable things as much or at all." Sakura says to me.

"I'm fine. It only takes longer to catch my breath. I'll stop for the rest of the months." I say to her.

Sakura nods. "Good."

I stand up straight and I look at Kakashi to see him nearly dead. "Guy we need to get Kakashi to the hospital." I say to him.

Guy looks at him. "Off to the hospital."

The three of us walk to the hospital. Well Kakashi stayed on Guy's back.

I fill out papers for Kakashi and the doctors treat him. When they're finished, they nod to me and I walk into his room.

I sit next to him and he looks at me with his normal eye.

"You ok?" I ask as I take his hand in mine.

"I'm fine, just not aloud to move. Are you and the baby alright?" Kakashi asks me.

"We're fine." I say to him.

"Go change into your dress. Its not good to wear your Jonin Outfit when your pregnant." Kakashi says to me.

I smile at him. "Alright. I'll be back in a few minutes." I walk to the bathroom and I change into my dress thing. I walk back and sit next to Kakashi.

Kakashi gives me a closed eyed smile. "That's better I asume?"

"Yeah." I place his hand on my stomach that has just a small bump.

"There's already a bump. We're gonna be parents."

"Hey I've been a parental figure to two people. Gaara and Naruto." I say to him and Kakashi laughs.

"Yeah but a real parent." Kakashi says to me.

I smile softly at my stomach. "If its a girl what are we gonna call her?" I ask him.

"Gin. Gin Hatake." Kakashi says to me with a warm smile dancing on his lips

"Gin Hatake. I like the sound of that." I say as I smile softly where I placed Kakashi's hand.

"Hey guys."

"J-Jiraiya? Why are you here?" I ask him shocked.

Jiraiya laughs at my shocked exoressesion and tone.

Tenzo and Lady Tsunade walk in.

"Tenzo? You to? Lady Tsunade? What's going on?" I ask them.

"I'm going by Yamato now, Luna. I'm the temporary stand in for Kakashi, since you can't do it." Tenzo says pointing to my stomach.

Jiraiya looks. "Luna?"

I laugh nervously. "Kakashi."

"I'm gonna be a father to her child." Kakashi says with a closed eyed smile.

"NANI?" Jiraiya yells.

The two of us laugh nervously.

"Anyways back to the subject. One of Danzo's men and Yamato are gonna be added to team 7. Yamato to stand in for Kakashi and Luna, and Danzo's guy for Sasuke." Lady Tsunade says to us.

"NANI? DANZO?" I yell.

Lady Tsunade sighs and nods. "A boy from the foundation. Danzo gave him the name Sai since the boy has no name." Lady Tsunade says to me.

"That's it. I want to meet this Sai person myself." I say to her.

"Unfortunately team 7 is going on a mission to capture Sasori's subordinate." Lady Tsunade says to me.

"Tenzo where is the meeting place?" I ask him.

"Sempai, call me Yamato. Its the normal meeting spot for you guys." Tenzo says to me.

"I'll be back. I want to see this guy myself."

"Once she makes up her mind, there's no getting her out of it." Kakashi says with a sigh and Jiraiya nods.

"I did teach her for two years." Jiraiya says to him.

I walk out and I walk to the meeting place. I see a pale boy talking to Naruto and Sakura.

I walk over.

"Luna-Sensei? Why are you here?" Sakura asks me.

I walk past her and Naruto. "You. Name."

"My name is Sai. I suppose your Luna Uzu" I cover his mouth.

"Shush. I still have ongoing orders from Lord Third." I say to him.

"She's a bit harsh at the moment. I wonder why?" Naruto asks.

"Pregnant women hormones. She can be kind one moment and threatening the next." Sakura says to him.

"She's always like that though." Naruto says to her.

"Your leader is Danzo correct?" I ask him.

Sai nods.

I sigh. "Sorry. I just don't like Danzo. He's the reason behind a lot of stuff that's happened to the Leaf." I place a hand on his head and I smile at him. "You can just call me Luna."

Sai gives me a real smile.

Oh he's my baby now too.

I hug him to me.

"She's claimed him as her own." Sakura says watching.

"If you touch one hair on Sasuke's head if he doesn't attack you, I will hunt you down like a pack of while dogs." I say to him in a sickening sweet voice that makes shivers go up the three's spines. "If you betray us in any way I'll tear you up like a pack of wolves and listen to your screams like a fox."

"Sadist." Sai mutters.

"Ok Luna. I think that's enough scaring the poor kid." Tenzo says walking out from his spot.

"But, but Tenzo. You know how I feel about that back stabbing jerk Danzo." I say to him.

"Sempai call me Yamato." Tenzo says to me.

"But, but Yamato. You know how I feel about that back stabbing jerk Danzo." I say to him.

"See hormone change." Sakura says to Naruto.

"Luna. If he hurts anyone of us we'll let you handle it when we get back. Sound good?" Tenzo says to me.

I scrunch my nose up. "Fine. I just wish I could go and drag Sasuke back by the ear. You guys are gonna get close to that hide out. That bridge isn't to far from where I've explored and I have found that hide out."

Tenzo looks at me. "When?"

"Remember when Jiraiya trained me for those two years? Well he was being a apervert and we happened to be in a town nearby. So I went and I was gonna train before I saw the hide out. I got curious and what I saw in it. In one of the labs disgusted me and made me angry. Test subjects, that's all I can say about that. Because if I say anything else someone's gonna over hear and tell Danzo. I've already told Jiraiya and Lady Tsunade. Anyways." I turn around. "I wish I could go but I currently can't due to this little one." I say placing a hand on my stomach.

Sai looks at me with interested eyes.

"Ja ne. I have to get back to Kakashi. He'll worry if I take to long. I was just originally gonna meet Sai. Tenzo, I trust Naruto and Sakura will be safe with you correct?" I ask looking at him out of the corner of my eye.

Tenzo nods. "Sempai, call me Yamato. But yes they will." Tenzo says to me.

"Good. I couldn't stand it if Kakashi lost another one of his students." I say quietly and Naruto looks at me determined.

"I'll get Sasuke back. No matter what." Naruto says and places a hand on my shoulder and turns me around. He hugs me.

I let him hug me for as long as he wants.

I want him to be his kid self that way I can hug him as long as I want. But having him hug me like this, makes me see that he's grown up. My nephew is going to become Hokage. He's gonna surpass us all.

"Your supposed to hug back ya know. That's the point of a hug." Naruto says to me.

Flashback

Kushina walks over to me and hugs me. "Everything is ok now."

I stand there shocked.

"Your supposed to hug back ya know. That's the point of a hug." Kushina says to me.

"Oh right. Sorry." I hug her back. Kushina grins at me

End of flashback.

I hug him back with a smile on my face. "Oh right. Sorry." Naruto grins at me.

I walk back to Kakashi's hospital room and I sit next to him. He eyes me.

"Your spacing out. Is something up?" Kakashi asks me.

"Naruto is just like his mother. I was thinking and he suddenly hugged me. Then he repeated the same words Kushina said when she first hugged me, when I got to the Leaf Village. The exact same words."

Kakashi gives me his closed eyed smile. "He's still full of surprises isn't he?"

"Seems so. I'm glad I was able to raise him to be a good Shinobi."
