A cry of a missile it had to be

I cringe at that sound can't they see

I never wanted to stand

Upon this blood soaked land

I cry my salty tears

Hoping that they will wash away my fears

But alas

My tears didn't do anything as the time past

I'm only a child who is thirteen

But I have seen things that shouldn't be seen

A man who has no arms and one leg

Now sits on the streets and has to beg

They say that they do it for their country

To me the battle seems pointless

The lives that are lost they seem to be meaningless

I knew that I was somehow loved then

For not being someone who could fight

This was just before I saw the light

"I was never loved before" I say to the man

He smiles and then I felt that he had start to ran

The next this I saw was all black

In this place hope I did lack

Suddenly I felt a hand touch me on the shoulder

I looked over and saw that it was the same solider

Your awake he finally whispered his voice full of kindness

I smiled at him this time out of happiness

Would you like to go home with me and my wife

There you can start a new and normal life

I would love that I said boldly

I now felt more wholly
