Chapter 7
Chapter 7
I woke up still tangled in Austin’s legs. He looked cute as he slept. I remembered that he asked me to go to a ball with him that was today and shook him gently. He groaned and pulled me closer to him. I sighed and shoved him out the bed. He landed with a thud and looked up at me evilly.
He flipped the mattress over. I groaned and pounced on him. He laughed and put his hands on my legs. I pecked his cheek and got off him so I could go take a shower.
When I entered my room I saw Jazz with his arm wrapped around Jenny. I smiled at their sleeping figures and picked out my clothes. I took my shower and I just decided to change into a tank top with some shorts. Why dress for the ball now? I still have time. I walked back into the room and Jasper was still sleeping so I knew I was going to be the one to wake him up. I jumped on the bed screaming, “WAKE UP SLEEPY HEADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Both Jasper and Jenny jumped up screaming. They rolled off the bed while I clutched my sides laughing. Jazz rolled me of the bed and pounced on me. I looked up at him questioning him then my eyes went wide. I knew what he was going to do.
He lowered his hands and started tickling me. I screamed and howled in laughter. “Jazz… stop… it… I… can’t breathe…” I couldn’t even speak correctly. He had me pinned so I couldn’t escape. I was too busy laughing to care about anything else. I missed things like this. I would bug him and he would tickle me until I almost peed on myself.
“Apologize and I’ll stop tickling you.” he shouted.
“NEVER!!!” I screamed. Austin burst through the door and was staring at me. I was still laughing and I couldn’t stop.
“Apologize and I’ll stop.” Jasper protested.
“Fine… I’m Sorry.” I screamed. He laughed and got off of me. Austin came from behind me and hugged me. I kissed his cheek. “You’re so mean for letting Jasper torture me like that. What kind of fiancée are you?”
“The kind that was forced to marry you and enjoyed the look on your face.” He laughed and pulled me back into his room. He kissed on my neck again but I pulled away. He just had to bring up the forced to marry part, didn’t he? Jerk face.
“No Austin. I have to go eat. Stop by when I’m done and then we can talk or whatever.” I walked back into Jazz’s room. “Jazz and Jenny. Let’s go down to get some breakfast. I’m hungry.”
They nodded and followed after me. Jazz and Jenny’s arms were linked as they were deep in conversation. We walked through the big doors and went under the stairs. I was happy when I found Lily, Hannah, and Keri sitting together with a tray in front of them.
I got a plate for myself and greeted the girls. They were dressed in jeans and tank tops. “How have you girls been?”
“We’ve been great.” Hannah replied since Lily and Keri were chewing. “The guys are great. I was never treated like this even at home. But I do miss my family. We all do.”
“I wish I had my family.” I said as I set my plate down since I was done.
“What happened to your family?” Lily asked with her wide eyes.
“They died. Jasper has been my family since. And he won’t leave my side. It’s kind of weird.”
“How is it weird April?” Jazz asked. I forgot he was here.
“Well you could have left after I took care of your wounds. And yet you stayed. Why is that?”
“That is a story to tell another day April. Right now is not the time.”
I nodded and felt my feet leave the ground. I let out a yelp as Austin through me over his shoulder. “Let me go Austin. I’m with the girls.”
And for once he actually listened to me. He set me down and had a weird look on his face. He wore a blank expression. I waved my hand in front of his face but he still didn’t move. “Um… Austin?”
He shook his head and stumbled backwards. “What the hell happened?”
“The hell should I know? You threw me over your shoulder so I said put me down and you did. But then you were in another world until I said your name. Are you feeling ok?”
“Yea I’m fine but that was really weird. Now let’s go back to our room.” He grabbed my wrist but I pulled away. He looked shocked.
“No Austin. I’m with the girls. And I’m tired of being in that room. I want to do other things. I want to get out the house. I don’t want to be stuck by your side all the damn time.”
He shook his head. “Fine there is a stable out back so all of you can go ride. We have 10 horses. The ones without names you can ride. Be back within a few hours to the party.”
I smiled and gave him a thank you hug. Of course he went too far and started grabbing my ass. “Let go of me. I want to have fun with the horses.”
He groaned but let go and left me in the room with the others. “Let’s finish eating so we can go riding. I’m so bored and I’m tired of being in this damn house.”
When everyone finished eating we washed the dishes and left to find the stable. When we did I noticed how nice it looked. It was like a basic stable except for the different colored horses. I ran to a horse that was fuchsia. She looked gorgeous. I looked at the name plate and she had none so I pulled her out the stall.
“April stop.” I stopped moving and faced Jenny. “You mustn’t take her. She is very wild and doesn’t like people. She also changes her colors out of no where. She was brown before, then she turned pale, and now she is that color. We think she’s sick.”
“She doesn’t appear to be sick so I’m going to ride her anyway.” I put a saddle on her and jumped on her back. When I did I had a weird feeling course through my body. It was weird. I closed my eyes and when I opened them I didn’t feel like myself. I felt like I was watching me. I stomped my foot and noticed my foot was a hoof. I’m the damn horse.
I closed my eyes again and I was in my own body. I screamed and everyone was looking at me worried. I jumped off the horse and backed away from her for her to only follow me.
“Heel.” Jasper demanded. The horse stopped and actually sat down. I turned to Jasper.
“Get back on the horse April. It’s ok. I’ll explain when we are far from the house.”
I nodded and the horse stood up. I got on her back and began to steer her into the backyard’s forest. The horse galloped and stopped in a clearing. I got off her back waiting for Jasper. I made sure to be a little distant from her. She was a tad crazy. No wonder no one rode her.
After waiting for what seems like forever I heard rustling in the bushes. A wolf popped out and I walked backward slowly. Where the hell was Jasper when I needed him?
I kept staring at the wolf and he started to shift. Jasper stood in front of me. I thought he would be laughing at how scared I was but he looked serious. Jasper is never serious unless it is really important.
“What’s wrong Jazz? Is everything ok?”
“No… Well yes… It’s very hard to explain. So I’ll just blurt it out. You’re a witch April. And I’m your conduit.”
WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
