Chapter 21

“Oh no. I have to leave.” Marissa said as she pulled away from me.

“Please don’t go.” I begged. I just got my sister and I don’t want to lose her so soon.

She kissed my forehead as our conduits came into the room. Hers ran right to her side, giving their mates longing looks. “I’ll be back sister. Don’t worry. Just be safe.”

She pulled away and swept herself into a bubble. I looked toward Austin and he held me close as I started to cry. “It’s going to be okay April. She’s going to come back. Now I need you to change your appearance. Jenna and Jasper can shift into an animal so that they can’t be found.”

I nodded into his chest and changed my appearance. I thought of a sexy girl, someone like Megan Fox. I looked at Austin and he smiled instantly. “You look so sexy like this but I prefer your regular body. It makes you look so much hotter and more unique.”

I blushed and kissed his cheek. “I’m happy you think that.”

Austin’s POV

I wasn’t lying when I said she looked good in her everyday form. April has just had this affect on me. I love it. I’ve never felt this way about anyone and the thought of being the only one to have this effect on her makes me happy and swell with male pride.

I was upset that her sister came at the time she did though. I get that April wants to get to know her sister but I have a right to be unsure about her. I mean she is working for Victor and his evil parents. I know a lot of people have tried to overthrow them but none of them have had a witch to help them out. I don’t want April to think that I’m using her but she is a great weapon for this challenge. I have never seen such a power woman, witch or not.

“Is there something wrong Austin?” she asked, looking at me with wide brown eyes.

“Everything is fine. I just want you to be okay. I don’t like Victor.”

“Neither do I. who would want a guy as controlling as him. Besides, I want more than one child. I want a large family.”

The thought of having kids with her had my body shuddering in delight. I leant down to her ear, nibbling it gently. “That sounds great to me. I’ll be sure to give them to you.”

She moaned and pressed back into me. Before I could try and kiss her, there was a knock at my door. She snapped out of her daze. She looked to her conduits, who both shifted into rabbits. She smiled down at them and looked toward the door. “Who’s there?”

“Whoever you are can you tell Austin that Victor would like to speak to him? He isn’t leaving until he searches the whole house while everyone in the house is in front of him.” I heard Hannah say in a small voice. How shy little Hannah goes with my loud obnoxious brother is beyond me.

“We will be down in a minute. You may return to your fiancé.” Once I was sure she was out of ear shot, I kissed on April’s moist neck. She moaned into me, arching her back.

“Austin. You need to stop. We have to get down there.” She protested. I know she didn’t really want to go but the sooner we got rid of the idiot downstairs; the faster I can take care of her lust. I bit into April’s neck, making it cool instantly.

I pulled away from her neck and she had a glazed look in her eye. I’m happy I’m the one to bring her to this point. I grabbed her wrist and tugged her forward. “Come on baby. The sooner we get this over with, the sooner we can continue our business.”

I heard a subtle purr and nearly pinned her to the bed. Her lust may be at ease but that doesn’t mean her want will decrease. I continued to pull us out into the hallway no matter how much she wanted to go back in the room. Even though that was really tempting right about now, I knew that Victor would end up coming in the room. No point in putting April at risk. This reminded me of something. “Your name is going to be Alice.”

She looked at me confused. “I don’t like Alice. How about Felicia?”

“Fine. Felicia sounds nice. Now let’s get going darling.” She nodded and we appeared at the top of the stairs. I gave April- I mean Felicia a look over and squeezed her hand gently. “Everything will be fine. Don’t worry darling.”

I opened the door to see my brothers standing across from Victor. The annoying prince looked up at us with an angry glare. “It’s about time. You and your whore need to get down here while my men search this place for April. Truthfully I have no idea why she would hide here. Her fiancé seems to have found another woman to warm his bed.”

I could feel my girl hide behind me. I didn’t like that she was scared. “I would rather you hurry and get this search over with. I’m sure that April is not here. I have my lovely Felicia to stay by my side.”

He looked toward her with a loving smile. “Ah. She does look appealing.”

He started to walk up the stairs toward us but Felicia moved out the way of him. “I don’t think that she wants to touch you. She’s a little shy.”

“Well as her king I have every right to touch her. Now come here girl.” He growled out. I let out a growl of my own as she stepped from behind me, I knew she didn’t have a choice and I could feel her fear. Once she set her hand into his he smiled. “Good girl. Now are you happy with Austin here?”

“Yes I am. I haven’t been happier.” She said as she looked back at me.

“Are you sure? I don’t want him to be forcing you into a marriage like he did with my friend April. That’s why I’m looking for her. We fell in love and I believe that Austin has taken her so that we could not wed. Since I am a prince I am able to untie the bonds you have with him. Would you like for me to do that?” I could see his grip tighten on her hand. He was pressing his powers onto her.

I could feel the daze coming over Felicia as she was about to give in. I wanted to pull him away from her but I knew that if I made a move toward him then he would have his guards pinning me down in a second. “I have no complaints about Austin. He has made me very happy.”

Victor looked at her shocked. “Are you completely sure?”

“Why of course. Why wouldn’t I be happy? He’s been nothing but nice while you are squeezing my hand too hard. Are you alright my prince?” she asked sincerely. I can’t believe this girl. She just ignored his power completely. I have never seen someone do that before.

“Well um… I’m just fine. My guards appear to be done with their search. She is not here but they did catch her scent in your room for a little while Austin. What was she doing here?” he asked as he pulled Felicia close to him.

“She came to me but left too soon. I don’t know where she is but I know that she’s safe. There is just a warm feeling in my heart.” I smiled. Felicia looked agitated in Victor’s arms though. “May you please let go of my fiancée now. She doesn’t seem to like being settled in your arms.”

“Well I’m in need of a new bride and I feel as though this Felicia girl would do that job. You make sure to pick beautiful and powerful women to marry don’t you. If I didn’t know better I would think that you were trying to take over the throne from my family.”

I rolled my eyes in fake disgust. I had to keep up the act. “I would like my bride to be Prince Victor. I will kill you for her I can assure you that.”

“She’s fine. Right my dear.” He purred into her ear. I could see her shaking with fear.

“Can you please let me go? I would rather not be held against my will.” She begged.

“Well you aren’t really. I’m going to take you home with me so we can get to know one another.”

“You can’t do that Victor.” I heard Tony growl out. “You can’t abuse your powers to take away people’s brides like that.”

“I can do what I want. I will be taking this lovely girl to my home and I will have her to replace my dear April that you have seemed to lose. If you want this beautiful girl back then you need to bring me April. Now let’s go Felicia.” He started to tug her down the stairs and she struggled against him.

“Austin, help me. Don’t let him take me from you.” she pleaded. And that’s when I snapped. I charged for them, taking Felicia into my arms. She cried into me as Victor’s guards came back.

“I order for you to hand her over. She is to be my bride.”

As I was about to protest, a guard spoke up. “I have just picked up April’s scent my lord. She is running on foot on the other side of the kingdom. If we hurry we’ll catch her.”

Victor’s face brightened. “Very well. Keep the girl Austin. I have the witch to go after.”

With that, he and his men were gone. I held my April tight, as she cried into my chest. I rubbed the back of her head gently. “It’s okay baby. I have you, he isn’t going to try and stake claim on you while I’m still standing.”

She hid her face into my neck and wrapped her legs around my waist. I looked toward Tony. “Prepare troops. We might have to go to war sooner than we thought.”

With that said I took April up the stairs, her form still the same. I sat on the bed, the girl slowly losing consciousness as I thought of who gave the guard information about April being on the other side of the kingdom.

Victor’s POV

I can’t believe that Felicia girl was able to resist my powers. The only ones to resist me are witches so she had to be one too. Austin just seems to only being marrying witches which worries me. He may be planning an attack on me. I don’t need to add to the crap that I have to deal with. April has to be detained for her disobedience and I will be sure to be the one to discipline her.

As we reached the zone April was in, I spotted her. She seemed almost happy to see me, being that she had a wide smirk on her face. “April my love come here.”

She giggled and ran into the forest. Oh so she wanted to play huh? Well I’ll play her little game even though this is no where near funny. I signaled my guards to stay put as I ran through the forest. I followed the scent and her faint giggle. Just as I was sure I had reached her my hand went through her. I reached for her again but my hand went through. This was a trick. She isn’t here. She’s back with those boys. She has to be. Its perfect timing.

“Well. Well. Well. Who do we have here? Is that the Prince?” I heard a feminine voice day. I turned to see a blonde haired beauty walking toward me.

“Who are you?”

“I’m someone who wants something that was taken from me. I can help you get what you want my lord.” She smiled.

“What are you talking about?”

“You want April Violet. Austin’s fiancée.”

“How did you know?” I asked the stranger with wide eyes.

“Because I know. I want Austin. If you can give me him then I will give you the little witch.”

“How are you so sure that you can give her to me? I haven’t even been able to get to her.”

“Well I have my powers and you have yours. I can teleport and find her anywhere. She is still with the brothers I know. But I will only tell you more if you help me get Austin. Do we have a deal?”

I looked the crazy girl over. It seems as though she really wants Austin. If she’s distracting him then I can get April or even Felicia. A smirk made its way onto my face. “It’s a deal Ms…”

“Just call me Selena.”
