Chapter 17

"Darling are you okay? You seem a little distant. Is it because of that Austin character?" Victor smiled at me as he pulled me close to him.

I faked a smile. "Of course not my Prince. I'm just thinking of how grateful I am that you found me. I would have never found a way to get out of that forest and find a place to stay."

"Well out of the kindness of my heart I allowed you to stay. A woman of your beauty does not deserve to be out on her own."

 "Well I wasn't really on my own-"

"You were on your own." He interrupted. "Now this discussion is over. Let's go meet my parents."

I felt my blood run cold. There is something wrong here. Jenna, please explain what's happening.

It's his power mistress. He- Wait what happened? Her voice is gone. I looked back at her and her eyes held fear. Jasper looked scared also.

"Come on Kitten. It's time for us to get moving." Victor purred into my ear, causing me to melt into him.

"Yes darling." I was in a trance. Every nerve in my body obeyed his command. It was like my body was melting and made me submit to him. He guided me through the crowd until we met up with a couple that looked appeared as though he was a mix of both. I was still slightly in a trance so I wasn’t able to fully process people.

"Mother. Father. This is my lovely girlfriend April Violet. April this is my mother and father, the king and queen of the vampire kingdom."

"Well Lady Violet where is it that you hail from?" The queen asked me.

"I'm from the human realm." I answered with my head held high.

"Absurd. No female as beautiful as you can be born from that place. And my son surely wouldn't date filth from that realm either."

"Well I'm from the human realm. I was kidnapped and taken as a slave and your son here got me out of a forced engagement."

The queen looked at me shocked then turned to her son. "You wouldn't date a human and try to take over the throne with her now would you? Do you realize how much of a disgrace she would be to our family line? To our kingdom?"

"Mother she is different. She may have hailed from the human realm but she is a witch. The two shifters behind her are her conduits. She is a very powerful witch even though she's just discovered her powers. Of course she still has training to do." Victor smirked.

"Well now that changes everything. I'm sure your children will be very powerful. Be sure to only have one powerful child though. You only need one heir and children tend to get annoying."

"Well I love children. I don't think I'll just be having one you highness." I stated perplexed. Not everyone followed her views.

"Well I say you should only have one. They could end up fighting for the title even though the first born will be the one to get the throne."

"Well I would like to have more than one child. Why are we even talking about this? I'm not even sure that my relationship with Victor will last." I nearly shouted. I can feel my fingertips ooze with power. Elbow length gloves formed up my arms and my dress clung to my legs to form pants.

"Don't worry mother. We will only have one child. Well that is as long as the first born is a boy. If it's a girl then she will be executed and we will try for another. Now calm down April. We will stay together for a very long time and I will never let you go. Do you understand?"

My body started fighting over a power in him. It was burning me but not as bad as my body burned in lust. Jenna and Jasper came to my side immediately. "April relax. You're going to wear yourself out if you use too much of your powers. You're still learning how to use them."

"I don't care. He wants to take away my freedom. I'm free from slavery and he's trying to tie me down. Let me take over."

"April calm down. I may have upset you but you will be my bride and I will own your heart. Now stop this nonsense and get back over here." Victor growled as he reached out for me.

"Never." I swept myself into a dark bubble and felt like going back into my room in Austin's home. I want to be far from where Victor was and ever could be. I cannot let him control me. I looked to Jenna and Jasper who were swept into my bubble with me. "What is his power?"

"He can control your thoughts, actions, and emotions." Jenna said with her head low. "I was forbidden to tell you. Victor knew that I knew what he could do. When he touches you he's able to control you."

"And what he was saying about me marrying him. What was that about?"

"The king and queen are ruthless. They want only power. They weren't kidding about killing your kids. You're only allowed to have a boy so he can take over." Jasper said as he sat me down on the bed. "You won't even be able to take care of your child when you have him. Victor would be the one to raise it. You have to be the one to only feed it. Once it's past the breast feeding stage you won't really be able to hold or touch the child. Maybe you'll see it on its birthdays, holidays, and public outings but that's about it."

"What kind of family does that? Is that the rule of the royal family?" I shouted.

"No. They made that part for themselves. They just don't have a positive attitude for children. They once tried to set a rule that banned people from having more than one child." Jenna laughed dryly.

"Well they seem cold hearted. I'm not really shocked now that they would do something like that." I was about to get up from the bed but I felt pain surge throughout my body. I fell to the floor screaming in pain.

"Damn. The lust is taking over. Jasper you have to get Austin. He can bite her on her sweet spot and she'll be fine for awhile. Her lust will be settled for about a week."

It felt like forever until I was in a pair of familiar arms. I looked up to see Austin looking down at me with a slight smile on his face. "It seems as though you've come back to me darling. I knew you would."

I wanted to insult him but I didn't have the energy to. My power was bubbling under me again. It was getting worse now though. I was going to die. I'm dying a damn virgin. That figures. As I felt my life was going to end, Austin started to nibble at my neck. I moaned and held onto him. I felt him smirk against my neck just as he bit into me. I started to scream in pain and then it was taken over by complete pleasure. I moaned loudly and held his mouth onto my neck. I could hear him groan in response. When he finally pulled away from my neck I gained my senses and bolted out of his arms. I didn't feel dizzy due to the blood loss so I was able to stand my ground. "Don't touch me.” 

"Look April I'm sorry. I know I've been an ass but you have bigger problems than this now. Victor doesn't appreciate you breaking his spell and he wants you back. No girl has ever denied him and lived."

"Well he's going to have to deal with it. I'm my own person."

"Well according to him you’re his property. And if anyone tries to hide you then they will be killed."

"So I guess I'm on the run? Well that figures." I said to myself as I started to walk out the room.

"April wait. Don't go." Austin begged as he held onto my arm. "You can stay here for awhile. I can get you, Jasper, and Jenna your own rooms. A witch like you can help us over throw the royals. My family is ready to take over with Tony as the king."

"So you want to use my power to set your family on the pedestal of the high life? No thank you." I laughed. This guy can't really be serious.

"Well would you rather the Royals keep making people unhappy and kill innocent children?"

That hit my heart. I turned to Austin with a defeated look. "I'll stay. But for the children."

"Good. We need someone with your strength. How far along are you with your powers?" He asked as he sat on his bed, watching me.

"I'm not too far along. I'm still a beginner."

"Yea. A beginner who is already able to control the elements." Jenna giggled.

I gave her a stern look and she instantly stopped laughing. "You shouldn't be so hard on her. She's another part of you. She's your fun but serious side and Jasper is your protective side. You just hold the power. If they weren't here you would probably blow yourself up or start a forest fire."

"Whatever. Show me where our rooms are. And Jenna is there a spell I can use to mask out scents?"

"Yes April. It's a simple one. Think of a different scent and wave your hand in a circle over your head. Me and Jasper will take whatever scent you choose."

I smiled and did as I was told. The scent I picked was Austin's. It was manly and husky at the same time. I don't know why but it gave me a sense of hope and pride. I love his scent. Austin sniffed the air and couldn't hide his smirk. "I like the smell of you baby. Makes it seem as though you’re actually mine."

"Well I belong to no one so think what you want."

"Not according to the mark on your neck. Your friends have the same one and a few more along their bodies. You may have them to match soon if it calms down your witches lust." he smirked as he walked us down a hall. "Here are your rooms. The first is April's, the next one is Jenna's, and the other is the Mutt's. Have a good night. We have to start planning."

I nodded and walked into the room, thinking of all the shit I've gone through for the past week.
