Chapter 13

Chapter 13

“Well it’s nice to know that some people like to enforce obedience.” I smiled.

On the floor I can see Austin pleading his mother while the three girls were being hung upside down by some odd vines. Behind Lillian I saw three men who appeared to be able to keep the girls in the air. That’s some nice security.

“What the hell? Why are you doing this?” Austin shouted.

“Because you have to learn how to respect women. You will be getting married. These girls will never come here again or I will make sure to end them.” With a snap of Lillian’s fingers, her three bodyguards threw the girls out the front door. I could hear them screech and run off. I held a smile on my face as I looked over to Austin, I could just feel the hate he has for me.

“I don’t want to settle down. You know that.” He yelled at his mother. “Besides have you seen the way April acts? Sure sometimes her fighting is cute but she’s just too stubborn. Besides the fact that she turns out to be a witch. I need a human that I can change into a vampire. I can’t be with a witch.”

A tear escaped my eye and I turned to Lillian. “I don’t think I’m wanted here. I’ll just be on my way then.”

Tony flashed by my side and so did James and Justin. “I thought we already agreed that you were our property.”

“No!” Lillian yelled at her sons again. “She is still a person. She may not be human but she is still a person. There is no possession here. She is going to marry Austin whether either of them wants to or not. This is just a small bump in the road. As I recall Austin seemed pretty excited to announce his engagement. If it weren’t for those three Sirens then this wouldn’t even be happening.”

“No. We will always have our differences. Those three women opened my eyes, showing me that we can’t be one with another. I mean have you seen the way she acts? Her attitude toward me is harsh and cruel. I disown her.”

I rolled my eyes and looked toward Lillian. “Clearly I’m not wanted here, so may I stay with you?”

“Yes my dear. It seems as though my sons need to think. I’m taking all of you girls from here. This way we can discuss wedding plans.” Hannah, Lily, and Keri smiled and hugged one another while the brothers growled. Tony looked the worst though.

“I don’t know why you’re punishing us for Austin mistakes. We need our brides with us.” He pleaded.

“Well as the oldest you should have watched your younger brother and made sure he didn’t get into trouble. Plus you got yourselves someone to marry but what about your sister? Does she have a bought fiancé?” Lillian sneered.

The boys hung their heads low and Karolina shook her head. “It’s fine mother. I’ll get over it.”

“No, this is not acceptable. You will be joining the rest of us. You need time away from your brothers and they need to learn how to be responsible. Pack your things girls. Everyone is dismissed except for Austin, April, and her conduits.”

I groaned and looked back at Lillian yet again. Why am I always pulled to the side? “I prefer to just move on. I’ll be a happy to go back to the place I was before. I mean sure there wasn’t much to it but I would rather be there than here. I think we can go back if you just give them my part of the money.”

Austin grabbed my face, forcing me to look at him. “Leave for all I care. You’re not going to be as good as the three that were in my bed. You will never measure up to them.”

I pulled away, giving me a chance to slap him across the face. “Don’t you ever disrespect me like that again. You need me. I don’t need you. I would rather be a sex slave than be here and deal with your arrogant ass.”

He growled and was about to launch at me but his mother threw him aside. “Honestly you both act as though you’re children. Now I want you both to tell me what’s going on.”

“I did nothing. Jenna and Jazz told me that he left me for three girls last night after I passed out.”

“They looked better and they probably fuck better than you.” He growled.

“Well you’ll never know now will you.” I sneered.

“I don’t want an inexperienced virgin around. I need a real woman. Maybe even Selena.”

His mother slapped him across the face. “Don’t you ever think that I will allow that slut back in your life.”

“It’s my life. I can do what I want with it.” He shouted as he ran up the stairs.

Lillian looked to me. “You need to find a way to break the spell. Sirens have a spell that they cast on people. No matter what species the male is, Sirens will be sure to try and make a person theirs until they die. A witch can break the spell or we can hopefully wait it out. The spell is quicker though.”

“Well I can’t do the spell. I haven’t even fully started my practice yet.”

“I understand. Well I think the girls are just about ready to go so why don’t we get going?”

On cue the four girls came down the stairs with suitcases. James, Tony, and Justin each kissed their fiancées goodbye, not wanting to let them go. And my fiancé is upstairs grieving over some sluts. Ha. I thought this life would be a little better than my old one. I actually miss being alone.

“Get over it, April.” Here we go with him in my mind again. “Yes I’m in your mind. I’m worried about having you near Lily with your sudden behavior.”

“It’s not sudden. I’ve wanted to get away from you for a while now. But I can’t get away from you people. I need to be free but none of you idiots will allow it for me.”

“IT DOES NOT MATTER. YOU BELONG TO US AND NO ONE ELSE.” He shouted back, getting into my face.

I slapped him across the room. “Don’t you ever get into my face like that. I belong to my parents. They gave birth to me and they will forever own me. But just because I was kidnapped does not mean that you have any right to my body. Yell at me like that again and you will die. I have no problem with killing you.”

A sudden force pulled me away from him and I looked down to see Lillian’s three guards pull me toward them. With my own magic I was able to get myself down. I looked to them angrily. “If you ever do that again I will unleash the power inside me. And by the pain that was in I can truthfully say that I have a lot of power.”

“THAT IS ENOUGH!” Lillian shouted. “I have no idea what’s wrong with you people. I mean this is the cruelest way for people the treat each other, especially when they are living together. I want all of you girls in the limo now. My sons will be thinking of the correct way to act.”

With a sudden force, we were all pushed into the limo. Jenna and Jazz shifted into their snake forms and circled around me. When we pulled off, Lillian looked toward my snakes. “It seems as though your powers are growing.”

“How do you know?” I asked silently. I don’t like to be argued with.

“The more shifting your conduits do, the more powers you have. So if they are able to change into different things then it shows the level of power you are. You actually have a lot of power.”

“Well it’ll come in handy when I have to escape from your son.”

“It may seem insane but you will end up loving my son. You both won’t be able to get enough of each other.”

“Well I doubt it will be soon. The way he acts is unacceptable.”

“It doesn’t matter. Once we are supposed to marry someone we are supposed to marry them. There is no such thing as divorce in our world. We make sure that we are in love with that person truly so we can spend the rest of our lives with them. Your friends have fallen for my other sons.”

“That’s because a human heart is fragile. As a witch April’s heart is not easily settled. She has to focus on her power and lust.” Jenna said as she shifted. “I know the history of her people and I’m the one that will be teaching her the spells she needs.”

Jazz shifted next. “I’m April’s protector. I am to stay with her at all times. If you want to get near her then I have to know first. I do not appreciate the way you’re talking to her.”

“Well I’m sorry but it’s the truth. She’s going to marry my son. Her being a witch will be a great way to help him with his sexual desires.”

“And if I don’t want to touch him?” I asked Lillian. “No one has asked me for what I wanted. I was taken from the streets when I was going out for food. If your son knew how to treat women then none of this would be happening right now. I think you raising him is the problem. I mean look at the girl before me. She’s insane and a slut.”

“Don’t you dare insult my parenting skills. Who gave you the right?” she yelled.

“I did. One of your sons threw me into the stairs, as though I killed someone in the family. Another one of your sons has absolutely no manners and is a sex pig. Then for things to be even better you throw in your only daughter. Why would you have thought that putting a girl in a house filled with her four brothers would help them ‘bond’?”

“I did it because I want my family to become closer. You wouldn’t know being that you have no family.”

Now that did it. A burst of energy surged through me and pulsed out toward Lillian. I felt my powers taking over, my voice growing heavy. “You dare speak of the dead like that? Who do you think you are?”

A dark cloud surrounded me and I was out the car, surrounded by trees. Jenna looked at me shocked. “Do you realize what you’ve just done?”

“No. But I do realize that I’m still pissed off.” I growled.

“Jasper. Calm her down. If she gets any madder the forest will catch on fire.” Jenna screamed.

Jasper pulled me into his arms and kissed me roughly. My skin burned and my nerves calmed. I moaned against his lips, feeling a burning sensation throughout my body. When Jazz pulled away, I was still burning with need but I was able to control it. “What the hell was that?”

“That was the ‘Familiar Kiss’.” Jenna explained. “What Jasper just did was control your lust. He is able to help you control yourself while we practice but at a certain point, it will not work. Have you ever noticed that whenever Jasper kisses you, you feel better?”

“Well yea. But I never thought of it like that.”

“Well now you know. And since we’re stranded I do believe that we should find shelter.” Jenna turned to the forest and me and Jazz followed. I mean it’s not like there is anything else to do right now.
