Chapter 10

“APRIL GET BACK HERE.” Jenna shouted at me.

I kept running though. She was trying to put heels on me. Black stilettos at that. She must be insane. “You’re not putting those shoes on me.”

“But you have to. Your body is going to start adjusting everything anyway. You have to stop before you hurt yourself.”

I stopped right there and turned to her. “What do you mean my body will adjust everything?”

“Put in the shoes and walk to the door. When you get there look down at your dress.”

I sighed and slipped on the heels. I hate wearing heels because I can never fully walk in them. When I stood however I managed to walk perfectly. I looked back at Jenna and she just ushered me to go to the door. By the time I reached it I decided to look at my body. The dress I wore now had holes in the side, was now backless, skin tight, and had long slits going near my upper thigh. I looked back to Jenna and she gave me a small smile. “I tried to warn you. You’re powers are going to change your clothes for you. It’s the way you’re supposed to dress now.”

“Well this is making me look like a slut.”

“You’re a witch April. The slut look fits you now.” Jasper smiled.

I gave him a strong glare and waited with the girls for our entrance. As they showered me in compliments all I could think of was how much longer until I get out of this dress. The doors slowly opened and at the bottom were the boys. Keri, Hannah, and Lily happily went to their dates while I slowly walked toward Austin. His eyes viewed me with only hunger. It made me feel slightly uncomfortable but that was all pushed aside when he growled in my ear. “If we weren’t forced to go to this stupid ball then I would take you up to our room and tear this dress apart.”

“Well I would love for it to be torn off but there is the small fact that I don’t want to sleep with you.”

He gave a soft growl again and kissed down my neck. “You weren’t complaining before.”

“That’s because I can’t control the lust I have. If I knew what it was I would have fought it as much as I could.”

He rolled his eyes but continued to nibble on my flesh.

“Don’t you think we’re late enough, Austin?” Tony smiled. “I’m not in the mood to hear mother and father complain tonight.”

“Well where is Karolina?” he asked softly.

“I’m right here you idiots.” We all looked to her and I rolled my eyes. She was wearing a short orange dress that stopped just under her ass and it had a deep cut going past her chest. She looked gross to me. “I would have gone faster but I had to find a date. The little whore over there stole the one that I wanted.”

“I know you’re not calling me a whore.” I hissed at her.

“Well yea. Look at your dress. This is a ball after all.” She sneered. I know this bitch was not talking.

But I looked down at my dress again and saw that it got worse. “Jenna what the hell is going on?”

“This is the fourth change. It might go back to the one before this. Just relax yourself. You can’t keep going through these changes.”

I sighed and ignored the little bitch. When I looked down it was the slutty dress I came to see before. Austin gave me an odd look but I brushed it off. “Can we get going now? I want to get this night over with.”

“Keep that temper to a minimum please, April.” Jazz warned me. “The angrier you get the worse your clothes will get. A witch takes care of her anger through lust.”

Austin smiled and pulled me close to him. “Looks like I’m going to have to make you mad when we get home. That’ll make you surrender to me.”

I elbowed him in his ribs and he groaned in pain. “Keep your hands to yourself vampire boy.”

Everyone but Karolina snickered while I walked to the car. Jenna and Jasper followed close behind me. “I need you both to do me a favor.”

“Whatever you wish April.” They both smiled.

“I need the both of you to change into snakes. Small ones but I want them to be poisonous. Jenna you’ll be around my neck and Jasper you’ll be around my wrist. When I need you I want you to come off me. Is this understood?” they nodded and began to shift. Jenna’s clothes followed her so I guess she had her clothes bought before she met me. Austin looked at them shocked but I ignored the looks. Once they were placed I smiled closed my eyes.

I could feel the stares and I could hear the bitch complain. “Nice going Austin. You are going to marry a freak. Do you feel accomplished now?”

I gave her a stern look. “I’m new with my powers. I don’t really think it’s wise for you to be messing with me. I’m not a fan of idiots and I nearly killed my conduits with my rage. I don’t like you so I don’t think I’ll have a problem with killing you. Do you understand that?”

“I think you should believe her.” Tony smirked. “It appears that in her mind she wants to light you on fire. Mother and father wouldn’t be happy if you lit our dear sister on fire now.”

“Well then make sure she knows whose she’s talking to.” I sneered.

She gave me a grave look and actually shut up. Austin smiled and pulled me to him. “It’s nice to see that you’re dominant. But I will let you know now that I don’t do well with my partner being the dominant one.”

“Well I will be dominant. You can’t have everything just given to you.” I purred.

“Well you were given to me. I had to buy you and you were the last one to pick. Either way you were given to me.”

I slapped him across the face and stepped out the car once we pulled up at the hall. It was a nice place. It reminded me of the taj mahal. It was large and exquisite in everyway. Austin grabbed my upper arm and pulled me close to him, my hand print was clear on his face. “Witch or not, you will never lay a hand on me again. I don’t know who the hell you think you are but you are to be under me. I bought you and I can find another girl to marry. Remember your place April.”

I gave him and menacing look and pulled my arm away from him. He had no right to touch me like that. I walked in the place alone and every male’s attention went toward me. I gave a soft smile to each of them and made my way to the refreshment table. Once there a woman gave me a soft smile. “Why hello there. I don’t believe I’ve seen you here before.”

“It’s my first time being at an event like this.”

“Well did you come with a date? And what happened to your arm?” she asked me in a soft voice. I looked at my shoulder and there was a bruise there. Of course there would be.

“My date did this actually. He isn’t the most understanding person in the world.”

“Well I don’t think that a beautiful girl should be handled in such a way. I should introduce you to my sons. My name is Lillian by the way.”

“My name is April. April Violet.” I smiled. I stayed with her for awhile. She introduced me to some people and then a man came up behind me. I looked up at him with an odd look as he drank in my form. “May I help you sir?”

He raked my body again with lustful eyes. “Yes you may. I would like your hand in marriage if you don’t mind.”

I gave him a look over and shook my head. “No thank you. I’m already in an arranged marriage.”

As I turned to find Lillian I could feel the man’s gaze stick to my curves. I made a mental note to keep watch of him. He may be a possible threat. Lillian gave me a smile and set her hand on top of mine. “I would like you to meet my four sons. They’re looking for brides.”

“Mother I already told you that we have our brides.” I heard someone complain. I looked up to see Tony, James, Justin, and Austin standing there.

“Austin I see your brothers with women but you’re alone. I have a beautiful girl here for you. Your brothers’ maybe marrying slaves but I can have you marry someone worth marrying. No offense to you girls.”

“Me, I’m fine with my fiancée.” Austin complained again.

“I feel hurt Austin.” I sighed as I came to view. “I thought you wanted me.”

He looked at me and gave me a long hug. “Where did you run off to? I’m so sorry for losing my temper with you.”

“I left you and I found this woman who appears to be your mother.” I turned back to Lillian, whose jaw was dropped. “Yes. My date is your son. I do appreciate you saying that I’m worth marrying but I don’t think you should put my friends down like that. They already have some self-esteem issues after being picked up by our captures.”

“You’re my son’s fiancée? You’re so beautiful and regal. I would have thought you were from a royal family.”

“Nope. I was kidnapped and forced into slavery. Me and my dear friends over here.” I sighed. “I’m sorry that you had to find out this way about me being with your son.”

“It’s alright. As long as it’s not that Selena girl. I never liked her.” she sneered.

“Well if it makes things better, I’m not much of a fan of her either.” I winked. Lillian laughed and we all looked up to see a man on top of a stage, tapping a microphone.

“I must go. That’s my husband and I must join him.” She rushed up the stairs and stood next to him.

“It’s nice to see you all here. Now this is an engagement party for my four sons. They have each found a beautiful bride. My wife gave these girls a look over and gave her approval. I would like to call my sons and there fiancées up here now for all to see.”

Austin placed his arm around my waist and pulled me toward the stage. I kept a small smile on my face, making sure to show my confidence. When we stepped up on the stage I could feel everyone’s eyes mainly on me. “I think the boys should introduce their wives. We’ll start with our oldest, Tony.”

He smiled and stepped forward. “My name is Tony and I will be marrying Lilly.”

Justin stepped up. “My name is Justin and I’ll be marrying Hannah.”

James stepped with a wide smile. “My name is James and I will be marrying Keri.”

Finally me and Austin stepped forward. “I’m Austin and I will be marrying the lovely April Violet.”

Everyone began to applaud but there was a slow clap that caught everyone’s attention. The man that asked for my hand started walking toward us. “Nice to see that you get the pretty girl. But I do believe that my priorities are greater than yours. This woman will be the future queen. If she isn’t tied to you then she will be with me.”

“You have no right to her. She’s mine and will forever be mine.” He shouted back.

“I don’t think that you boys have a right to decide my future.” I argued. Everyone focused their attention to me. “I will choose who I will be with. I don’t think that it’s fair for you men to fight for a woman who can fight for herself.”

“Listen. When Prince Victor wants something he will get it at all costs.” The guy growled at me.

I rolled my eyes and my snakes made their way to the ground in front of me. They shifted and I gave a smile. “You will have to go through them in order to get to me, but even then you will not be able to come against me.”

“What kind of sorcery is this?” he sneered.

“You didn’t think that I was normal did you. I’m a witch. One of the last I have heard.” I smirked.

The Prince looked me over again. “I’ll be back. I always get what I want and what I want is you little one.”

I rolled my eyes and shooed him away. Austin wrapped his arms around me and kissed the side of my neck. “As you can see me and my lover don’t care for your words. Be gone.”

Hr growled and left the room. Everyone looked up at me with wonder and the party continued.
