A few weeks later

Storm's POV

I stand in the Hokage office with the other rookies.

"Tsunade, there is a reason for this right?" I ask and Tsunade smirks.

"Alright rookies, your all gonna do something for me." Tsunade says to us.

"I'm out." I say already about to jump out the window.

Tsunade laughs and I freeze in my tracks. "Storm, get your ass back in here." Tsunade says to me.

Shikamaru and everyone else laugh as I scowl and stand back in my spot.

"Damn you Tsunade." I mutter. 

Shikamaru pats my head. "There, there little puppy. You know  your not aloud to defy her orders, I don't understand why you even try." Shikamaru says to me.

Tsunade looks at the gesture confused. "Shikamaru, why do you call her a little puppy?" Tsunade asks him.

"I'm older than her by a few months and we've been practically raised as siblings, she doesn't mind it that I do that, but she does when other people do, so I wouldn't try it, if I were you." Shikamaru says to her with a smirk.

I roll my eyes and cross my arms over my chest.

"Wait, Storm, why do you have a flack jacket?" Ino asks me.

I look at her. "I thought I told everyone already, I'm a Jonin." I say to her.

"HUH?" Sakura and Ino say dumbfounded.

I raise an eyebrow. "I must have forgot about you guys when I told everyone." I say to them and everyone but the two laugh.

"Your so mean." Ino and Sakura say and attempt to hit me on the head but I move out of the way and they hit Tsunade instead.

I escape out the window with out a second thought as Tsunade blows up.

Shikamaru's POV

Sakura and Ino attempt to hit Storm on the head but she moves out of the way and the two hit Tsunade, I see Storm escape out the window as Tsunade has a fit of rage.

"She took her chance and ran." I say and everyone looks where Storm was.

"Where did she go?" Tsunade asks.

"She could be miles away by now, she knows this village better than anyone." I say to her.

Everyone nods in agreement. "She's sneaky, trust us." Kiba says to her. "But nose can track her down easily." Kiba says with a smirk.

"Then bring her back here, we need a Jonin on this mission and she's the only one available." Tsunade says to him.

"Yes Ma'am." Kiba says and follows Storm's scent out the window.

"Your never gonna find her, she can out maneuver anyone, on the day my parents first decided to help take care of her, she ran all around town out maneuvering anyone who got her way." I say to Tsunade with a smirk.

Tsunade nods. "Well, I have full trust Kiba can bring her back here." Tsunade says to me.

Storms POV

I cut through ally's and I make it to Mom and Dad's, I walk in and shut the door behind me.

"I'm home." I yell say and I hear Mom in the living room.

"We're in the living room." Dad says to me.

I stand in the door way of the living room watching as the two play a game of shogi.

"Lady Tsunade sent us a message, saying you ran out of a mission she was gonna put you in charge of, why?" Dad asks.

"Because I'm not a leader, I'd rather do my own thing on missions and complete them that way." I say to him.

"Your a Shinobi, you have to do as your Kage says, go back to that office and take that mission, your not aloud to say no, these are orders from Lady Tsunade." Dad says to me.

I look at Mom to see her nodding in agreement.

"Shikaku is right, you have to take that mission, besides, your a Jonin now, your gonna have your own team in a few years so go." Mom says to me sternly.

I sigh. "Fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, I'm going." I say and they look at me suspicious but nod.

I walk out of the house and I dodge Kiba by walking around him.

I walk through some ally ways with Kiba following me.

"Why aren't you using the road?" Kiba asks me.

"These are short cuts, now you better get ready for a tight squeeze." I say and I just barely fit through the hole and I see Kiba get stuck.

I make a run for it as he gets himself unstuck.

"WHY YOU LITTLE, YOU KNEW I WASN'T GONNA FIT!" Kiba yells at me.

I smirk and run away from the Hokage building and Kiba chases me, more like herds me back to the Hokage office, I growl and walk in through the door. 

"Damn dog breath." I mutter and Shikamaru looks at Kiba shocked.

"You were able to bring her back." Shikamaru says to him.

"She purposely got me stuck in an ally way, knowing I wouldn't fit through it and she made a break for it while I was getting myself unstuck, I had to somehow get her here." Kiba mutters putting his jacket back on.

"Alright, you 9 are going on a A-Rank mission and Storm here will be your captain." Tsunade says with a smirk.

"Your dooming me." I say as Sakura and Ino look at me angry.

"Why is Storm being put in charge? Why not Shikamaru? Or Shino?" Ino asks.

"I told you so." I say as Tsunade looks at the two.

"Do you have a problem with Storm being team captain?" Tsunade asks them.

"I have a problem with being team captain." I say and Tsunade glares at me. "Never mind." I say quickly and Tsunade smirks.

"Yes we do have a problem with her being team captain, she's mean, she annoys us and we don't even know how she fights." Sakura says to Tsunade.

"Kunai, Shuriken oh and my fists, trust me, if we get attacked, I'm more than capable of making sure everyone is safe." I say to her.

"That doesn't make me feel any better about you being team captain, your totally unpredictable." Ino says to me.

"No she isn't." Shikamaru says to them.

"You just know how she acts since you've been sibling like people for years." Sakura says to him.

Me and Shikamaru nod.

"Your to escort a Lord back to his homeland. Got that Storm?" Tsunade asks me.

"Yes Ma'am." I say to her and I see a guy walk in with the frost kanji sign on his hat and frost robes. "I have a feeling, that this mission is gonna cold." I say and we leave for the gates.

Izumo tosses me my bag. "Hey, don't forget that, like you did yesterday." Izumo says to me.

I catch my bag. "Thanks Izumo, alright, the client will be here soon with the rest of my team, so its time I check everything.

I pull out my scrolls and I look in them to see they're fully stocked.

"Storm." Shikamaru says walking up with the client.

I look at my holsters to see them still full with my special kunai and shuriken. "Yes Shikamaru?" I ask.

"Shouldn't you close your flack jacket?" Shikamaru asks me.

I shake my head. "You can wear yours closed, but I'm not, its easier to move with it open." I say to him and the Frosts Feudal Lord looks between us.

"Who is the captain?" The Lord asks.

"That would be me." I say to him and he frowns.

"A kid is the captain." The lord says disapprovingly.

I roll my eyes. "My name is Storm and I'm a Jonin, don't think that I'm some weak kid, I've been training since I was 4 to become a Shinobi." I say to him slightly annoyed and Shikamaru smirks.

"She's currently the strongest Kunoichi in the village, she took on Orochimaru and his partner." Shikamaru says to him.

I roll my eyes as Naruto runs down the street yelling about something. "Naruto." I say to him as he stops in front of me.

"Yes?" Naruto asks nervously.

"Tone it down a few octaves, I can't hear myself think when your yelling your head off." I say to him.

"Yes Ma'am." Naruto says quickly and hides behind Sakura who just got here.

"Storm, do you really have to be captain? Why not Shikamaru? Or Shino?" Ino asks walking up to me.

"Orders are orders and Tsunade said I would be captain, Mom and Dad gave a me lecture about that before I was herded back into the Hokage office, if you have a problem with that, go tell someone who cares, Tsunade sure as hell doesn't and neither do I." I say to her and Shikamaru smirks.

"Have more faith in Storm, she's not the type to do something that could kill us." Shikamaru says and Choji nods in agreement.

"I still think I should have been in charge." Kiba says walking up to us.

"You in charge? Ha, I have a better chance of keeping everyone alive." I say to Kiba and he looks at me with a scowl.

"I see what you did there." Kiba says to me.

I smirk. "What comes around goes around, thank Karma for it." I say to Kiba.

Shino nods. "Storm is right, treat someone like how you want to be treated." Shino says and I sweat drop.

"I didn't say that." I say and Kiba nods to what Shino is saying.

"S-Storm-San, what a-are we g-gonna do f-first?" Hinata asks shyly.

I smile and place a hand on her head. "Don't worry about a thing, I haven't thought that far." I say to her and everyone but the lord, Shikamaru and Choji fall.

"Your not a good captain." Naruto says to me.

"Lets just get going, the faster we finish this mission, the faster we get back home." I say to them.

"Can't argue with that." Sakura and Ino say and walk out of the gates.

We get going and by the time its sunset everyone already set up camp.

"I'll stay on duty for tonight." I say to the others.

"That's reasonable." Shikamaru says to me.

We all eat and everyone but me heads off to bed.

I sit at the fireplace ready.

A band of bandits come out of the forest and surround me.

"Well this is bad." I lie and pull out some kunai.

Shikamaru walks out of his tent and I see Kiba dart out of his and both of them get to my side at once.

"You heard me?" I ask and Shikamaru nods.

"My nose picked up scents earlier, this is why you said you'd take duty tonight, wasn't it?" Kiba asks me.

I nod. "I knew they were following us, I just didn't say anything to keep the Lord from panicking and the two banshee's yelling at me to take care of them." I say to them.

"This is why your a Jonin." Shikamaru says with a smirk.

I nod and we fight off the bandits. By the time we drove them off everyone walks out of their tents and looks at the three of us.

"What happened?" Shino asks.

"It was just a simple attack from bandits. Nothing too hard." I say to him and I heal Shikamaru's and Kiba's injuries.

"Simple attack?" Sakura and Ino yell at me.

"See, I told you so." I say to Kiba as he covers his ears.

"I never disagreed with you." Kiba says to me and Akamaru barks at me.

"Uh huh." I say and Sakura and Ino look around to see my kunai and shuriken everywhere.

"Are you gonna pick those up?" Ino asks me.

"Yes, now everyone back to bed or we aren't getting a good start tomorrow." I say shooing them back to their tents. Once everyone is inside their tents I pick up most of my kunai, but one. I recount but I still miss one. "Where is it?" I ask looking around.

"You looking for this?" 

I turn to see Kisame holding my kunai. "Yes I am, give it." I say taking it from him easily.

"Aww come on, shouldn't you be attacking me?" Kisame asks.

I glare at him out of the corner of my eye. "Leave, my comrades need their rest so we can set off again, if you attack us right now, I wont hesitate to make a scene about it." I say to him.

Kisame smirks and swings his sword at me. I pull out some kunai in a split second and block Samahada.

"Ok Assbutt, go to hell, and never return." I say loud enough so that my comrades can hear.

I hear some snickering from the tents and Kisame stands there confused.

"Ino, Shikamaru, Choji, guard the Feudal Lord's tent." I say to them.

"Wha?" Ino asks.

"Ino, I'm the team captain and you three have the strongest formation, do as I say, I'd rather not be blamed for his death." I say to her.

"Fine." Ino says and joins Shikamaru and Choji.

"Hinata, use you Byakugan, Shino, Kiba, help her." I say to the three.

"Yes Ma'am." The three say and sit in a tent.

"Naruto, Sakura, watch over those three and do not come out of that tent." I say to them.

"Your gonna fight him all by yourself?" Shikamaru asks shocked.

"He's a sword fighter, you guys don't have anything to fight against him with. My kunai are stronger and I have more Tai-Jutsu power than you guys, I'm faster and you guys have your own strengths, I'm better at fighting one on one, while you guys are better fighting in teams. Besides. I've fought against this guy once before, I know his strength and his speed. I have a better chance of winning, than if you guys fight him blindly." I say to Shikamaru.

"What would our chances be?" Shikamaru asks.

"Yours would be 25 and mine 50." I say to him.

"I like your odds better." Shikamaru says to me.

"Exactly. Now let me do my job." I say to him.

"Right." Shikamaru says and goes back to his formation.

Kisame finally snaps out of his confusion. "Did you just call me assbutt?" Kisame asks.

"So what? You gonna be stupid and take it like a child? Or are you gonna fight me like a man?" I ask him with a smirk.

"Are you implying I'm a child?" Kisame asks.

"Maybe, that is, if your just gonna take my words and not fight." I say to him.

Kisame smirks. "Alright you little girl, see what you can do to piss me off and maybe I'll fight you." Kisame says to me.

"Did he just say that?" Shikamaru asks.

I smirk. "My pleasure, now, what would you like to hear first? The story of how I'm gonna kick your ass, or the story where you high tail out of here?" I ask him.

"What have you done? Some of us would like to stay sane." Kiba says to Kisame.

"Oh hey, I have something better to say." I say nothing else and everyone looks at me expectantly.

"Well are you gonna say it?" Kisame asks.

"I did." I say to him and I see his eye twitch.

I'm getting somewhere, good. Normally I'd try making the guy piss himself, but with my comrades watching, I think I better not.

"Why isn't she using her normal tactic's?" Sakura asks listening from the tent.

"Because we're here, that's why, she's thinking about us and about her opponent at the same time." Shino says to her.

I glance around me. "Ok, let me say something, your a moronic idiot who is really starting to annoy me, I could care less about your existence because I just don't give a damn about it, I have other things to do than wait for you to try attacking me when no one is around, you know the reason why I'm trying to make you mad? Because you piss me off, you know, I could talk so much trash about you right now but I think its best you run off to hell and don't come back, I could break your soul with just words, so leave." I say to Kisame.

"Something tells me we're hearing a different side of Storm." Sakura says to the others.

"She sounds, mean." Kiba says the last part carefully as if picking his words out.

"Pent up frustration, anger, annoyance, pain, sadness and fear. I've seen it a million times." Kisame says with a smirk.

I tch and kick him in the ball, he doubles over in pain. "Get this right, I'm not someone you can just predict, you can just mess around with their head and say what you think is going on inside their head. I'm not a small girl who's scared, I don't give a damn about that crap, if you think you can say what's going on inside my head like that, then you don't know your opponent at all." I say to him and Shikamaru smirks.

"Storm is one crazy Kunoichi." Shikamaru says with a smirk.

"Denial." Kisame says with a smirk and attempts to hit me but I dodge and kick him in the back, sending him into a tree.

"Think again, you'll never know what goes on in my head." I say to him and I knock Samahada out of Kisame's hand and I kick Samahada far away.

"You bitch, that was my sword." Kisame says to me.

"You don't bring a sword to fist fight." I say to him with a smirk.

"You make no sense!" Kisame yells at me.

I shrug and kick him in the stomach, sending him a few yards back and into a tree.

"If I don't make it out of this fight alive, Shikamaru, your in charge, and also tell Tsunade she's a dumbass." I say with a nod and Shikamaru nods with a smirk.

"Your crazy, you'll figure out a way to survive." Shikamaru says to me.

I shrug. "I dunno about this one, alright, carry on with your daily lives, I have to kick someone's ass." I say and everyone but Choji and Shikamaru sweat drop.

"Your going down crazy bitch." Kisame says as he jumps at me.

I dodge and run through the forest with him on my tail.
